Opinions de HiroNori Cupertino
Now, I am in no sense a Ramen expert, but I am a ramen LOVER, and HiroNori does NOT disappoint. My go to is always the tonkatsu, always with a salad and almost always the pork rice bowl. There's nothing I can say that is negative about these dishes. They are delicious and hearty and my mouth waters just thinking about it. My man and I eat here at least once a month and although a bit pricy, it's absolutely worth it. Our 1 year old even eats the heck outta everything! The service is wonderful and welcoming, and I only downgrade the rating on the atmosphere because they do not utilize their AC and it can definitely get stuffy and hot in there especially if you're having their chili sauce with your ramen. Highly recommended, highly praised. 🖤
We ordered the 3 kinds of ramen, pork, chicken, vegan. They were all delightful. In the vegan, I especially liked the burnt broccolini and the sour grain in the center which reminded me of tuna. The noodles were on point, the little hot sauce and garlic sauce on the side were great final touches.
Yum noodles. I love the texture and I love how the broth is rich but not heavy. Get the garlic on the side to try out with your soup. (Garlic is super fresh & creamy! I would be willing to just eat it on its own!!) The spice is also good, but it was not the flavor profile I was expecting.
I've been to this location many times and I've always had great food and great service. Today was the same level of excellence as always. My colleague and I had a meeting over lunch and Sophie was our server. She was very kind, knowledgeable of the menu items, and had excellent customer service. I know the lunch hour gets very busy and it can be easy to lose track of customers. Sophie was attentive and went above and beyond our needs. I had the tonkatsu bowl with an arnold palmer and my colleague had the veggie bowl with hot tea. Both of our dishes were served in a timely manner and with excellent quality. Highly recommend this place for the food, service, and experience!
So, I went to HiroNori the other day and had a great meal! I usually get tonkotsu ramen when I got out, but at the recommendation of my server Sophie , I tried the shoyu ramen and was pleasantly surprised! She made plenty of other good recommendations from their menu, so I’m excited to come back and try the whole menu! The atmosphere was nice, my serve was lovely and made my eating experience just that much better. Very happy to support this business and the lovely staff again in the future!!
This place is amazing the food is out of this world good my wife and I split the tonkatsu ramen crispy chicken and pork buns and it was more then enough food but I couldn't stop eating. The service is phenomenal everyone was super friendly. We will definitely b coming back next time we are in town
Had their amazing and satisfying vegan ramen. The broth was creamy rich, filled with crunchy broccolini, soft tofu. The vegan gyoza were crispy and the dipping sauce a perfect compliment. Also order a salad, can feed 2 easily was filled with bounty of fresh veggies, corn and apples!
I absolutely love this place! Tonkotsu ramen is incredible, cucumber crab salad is awesome. Ely was our server and he was very kind and helpful! 10/10 would recommend
Excellent food and service. Nice staff. I got the Vegan Ramen and loved it. They're also very flexible in customizing your order and bring it super fast. I added bamboo. The portion was too large and I tried hard to finish it!
Greeted with a big smile from the server Sofi, who has provided adequate service for our party of 4. Ramen came out first and did not disappoint. Spicy tuna over crispy rice is a must-try if you want a unique appetizer experience, so as the pork bun. Will be back next time we are in the area.
This is my first time having HiroNori ramen, and I like this place and food. The servers are really nice and friendly, especially Ely is super nice to us. Love the Crispy chicken, it was really crispy and tasty! Would come back again!
This is THE Ramen spot in the bay area. The quality of the ingredients and the superb broth are worth at least one visit. Both meat and vegan options are equally amazing. Defined go for the black garlic add on - stunning. The atmosphere can become a little loud as plenty of folks want to grab a delicious bowl. Tip is already included in the bill and tab water is usually enriched by watermelon - yummy.
I had such a great experience at HiroNori! I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and it was seriously one of the best bowls I’ve had in a long time. The broth was super rich and flavorful, the noodles had the perfect chew, and the chashu pork was so tender it basically melted in my mouth. Everything in the bowl worked so well together — it was comforting, filling, and just really well done. I also got the edamame as a starter and it was simple but perfect — warm, fresh, and just the right amount of salt. It’s a small thing, but it set the tone for how much care they put into everything. On top of the amazing food, our server Sofi was awesome. Super friendly, attentive, and just had great vibes overall. She made sure we had everything we needed without hovering, and honestly made the whole experience even better. Can’t wait to come back! Definitely recommend if you’re craving legit ramen and great service. 5/5 would recommend
Food was great. The chicken Karage (crispy fried chicken) was amazing. My ramen was a bit softer than I would liked but I liked the flavor. Sophie was my server and she was very sweet and attending. Would come back
I was so happy to see this location! Just looking for ramen near micro center, this gem comes up. Loved it here as much as in Santa Clara!

Good service throughout with great portion of food. The Shoyu ramen chicken broth is same as described. We also ordered Tonkotsu Ramen, which is good with the garlic puree. The green salad with apple was fresh.
Good ramen with the option to complement it with a salad and rice bowl. The pork was excellent, though having it in both the ramen and the rice made the meal a bit heavy — next time I’ll try the chicken or tofu instead. The service was friendly and attentive, and everything ran efficiently. Note that tips are fixed at 15%.
My all time favorite place for a comforting bowl of vegetarian ramen. The broth is creamy and the veggies are very well done. It’s everything you need for those ramen cravings. I like this place better than Marufuku and ramen nagi.
Delicious ramen!!! Yummy grilled/charred char siu. Probably the best char siu served in any ramens we've eaten. The broth for the tonkotsu and shoyu were so flavorful.....Ely is an amazing server, efficient, checked in on us during our meal; very nice guy. The place was clean and tidy. Thank you Ely and to the chef who made our food!!!

The broth was on the creamier (richness indeed) side but balanced and had great flavors. The slightly grilled/(charred?) chashu was great! I enjoyed this style of chashu better...4.5*. Adding a dash of the comp spice tasted even better. (If you don't like broth on the creamier side, then this may not be favorable with your tastebuds.) The crispy rice w/spicy tuna was delicious, 4.5*. The crispy chicken was good, 4*.
Hiro Nori Craft Ramen serves good ramen with bold flavors and a cozy atmosphere. Ramen: The ramen was enjoyable, with a decent broth that had a nice depth of flavor. The crispy broccoli was a standout addition, adding a satisfying crunch to the dish. However, the broth leaned a bit too garlic-y, which might not be for everyone. Service: The service was good – friendly and attentive staff who made the dining experience smooth and pleasant. Ambience: The ambience is decent, though the small seating area can make it feel a bit cramped, especially during busy times. It’s also quite easy for the space to get noisy. Overall, Hiro Nori is a solid spot for ramen if you enjoy bold, garlic-forward flavors and don’t mind a bit of a bustling environment.
Ideally, I'd give Hiro Nori 3.5/5 Hiro Nori used to be a go-to for some of the best ramen in the Bay area. Lately, the quality hasn't quite been the same. It's still a decent spot to grab a bowl, but it's fallen out of my top 5 ramen places. One thing that hasn't changed is the convenience. The Cupertino location is spacious, with plenty of indoor seating – definitely bigger than their Santa Clara spot. We went on a weeknight and had no trouble getting a table for 7 right away. The staff was fantastic – friendly, fast, and super accommodating. They kept our water refilled and even let us swap some ingredients in our ramen for free. Plus, our food arrived quickly. For vegetarians in the group, Hiro Nori offers veggie ramen, which is a definite plus. We tried the chicken karaage as an appetizer. The chicken itself was perfectly cooked – crispy and juicy. However, the sauce was a bit bland and lacked flavor punch. My tonkotsu ramen was a mixed bag. The broth itself was creamy and rich, exactly as I like it. The thick noodles were a good match, soaking up the flavor nicely. Unfortunately, the pork chashu was a letdown. It was dry and flavorless, a far cry from the melt-in-your-mouth pork belly I was hoping for. Still, the portion size was generous. Overall, Hiro Nori Cupertino is a decent option for ramen, especially if you have a larger group and need a place with good service and seating. However, with a slight dip in quality, especially the chashu, it's not quite the top contender it once was.
I’m so happy that one of my favorite ramen places, @hironoriramen_bayarea opened a new location in Cupertino Square. I remember when the Santa Clara location opened and the wait was 2 hours. Now, there’s one nearby. The tonkatsu ramen broth is still as creamy and rich as I remembered. Love that they have combo meals with a rice bowl of your choice and salad. Such a good deal for the quality. We will definitely come back for more.
We ordered the vegan ramen and gyoza. Gyoza was kind of over fried and vegan ramen was good. Overall I think the Santa Clara hironori is better in terms of taste
First time at this location! Been to the Santa Clara one before. Two of us ordered: tonkotsu ramen $17.90 shoyu ramen $16.90 karaage $12 Food comes quick and is pretty consistent quality wise. Full house. Quick service. Auto 16% service charge. Ely was friendly. Only minimal staff working. Parking in plaza is difficult during peak hours.
The tonkotsu ramen was good. Service was also good and fast. It was busy but no wait on a Saturday for dinner. 16% service charge included.
Really good ramen. Been here twice with my wife and friends. We really like the vegetarian ramen… great flavorful soup broth. Can be enough for two, but I would recommend to get your own. The crispy rice with tuna is delicious - a bit of hot sauce can embellish the flavor if you dare! We tried the ramen with chicken broth but replace with tofu. It was good, but I still think the vegetarian ramen is better, IMHO. Edamame was ok, it had lemon or lime squirted in it - wasn’t my cup of tea, but my wife loves lemon, so a win for her. There is a 16% surcharge FYI. I would come back to try the crispy garlic chicken.
Edit/Update: The ramen is still good. But I don’t believe it will return to its past glory with the Tonkotsu ramen having nicely charred and thick pork slices. Maybe it is the result of inflation…not increasing the price but adjusting the ingredients portion. __________________________________________________ Been coming here rather regularly for the ramen for the reason that I like how the pork is cooked here. At Hiro Nori, the pork is charred and the meat is just cooked differently from most Japanese ramen places. I raved about it to others that they made the best ramen because of the pork slices. Having said that, I noticed a drop in quality recently and on this visit I brought this up to the staff. I told them that I have been to Hiro Nori many times and the last time the soup was too salty. The server informed me that they could make it with less salt, but I explained that I had been having their ramen all these times and only the last visit the soup was way too salty so I prefer to not adjust the taste of the soup since that wasn’t the case prior to that visit. Another server, Ely upon learning my past experiences, offered the option of adding more broth to dilute the saltiness. I was glad to learn of that option. He later served the Tonkotsu Ramen and brought an extra cup of broth to the table just in case. I ordered my ramen with thin noodles. After mixing all the ingredients in the soup, I did not adjust the taste with the extra broth that Ely had brought. I had intended to leave a review but each time I was in a hurry to tuck into my food that I forgot since I like to eat my food especially soup, piping hot. This time I told my friend I would make a conscious effort to take a pic to show the ramen. Ely was very friendly and was very attentive in his service. Therefore service was on point and not overbearing nor overwhelming. At the end of a simple meal, Ely came back to check with us on our experience. I told him that the pork seems to be thinner than before and he mentioned about new staff, etc. This place will remain my go-to for ramen till I find a better ramen place. Hopefully it can recover to its former standards and serve thick, tender delicious pork in its Tonkotsu ramen.
The pork rice bowl is really delicious! Highly recommend. The pork belly is very tasty. The ramen soup was a bit too salty. It's the same menu as another HiroNori, not many choices, mostly ramen and rice bowl. They also mandatorily added a 16% tip to the check.

Came on a weekday noon and wasn't too busy. The tonkotsu ramen was creamy and just ok. The salmon rice bowl ratio was not satisfying - literally only 10 penny-sized salmon and then a bunch of rice. With the extravagant prices and 16% mandatory gratituity/service fee (which is NOT tip, as they state on their menu), not that impressed by this place.
The food was ok; however, something that extremely bothered me; was an additional 16.4% Tax/Fee to pass on their direct labor costs; its for them to pay “equitable wage for their kitchen and service staff” I say Pay your employees whatever you want to‼️ However I find it unfair to CHARGE your customers an additional fee on top of the costs of the meal for your labor. Do like other operators, increase your meal price. None the less feel it’s a deceptive way of making your meal prices appear lower than they truly are🤷🏽♂️
The food is just okay. This was surprising because I had high expectations based on the reviews and the background story of Hiro and Nori. I had the Tonkatsu and chasu bowl combo. The toppings were a bit lacking in substance, the noodle was a bit too hard, the donburi and salad were given in cheap paperware. The price is also kind of okay, not too expensive but not cheap either given the quality. The server was very kind though, thank you. I'd suggest trying it out if you're curious, but don't expect anything great.

I've tried hironori main branch a few times in the past couple of years. I had the same expectations for this location but was met with mediocre food. The tonkotsu ramen was not presented nicely. Seaweed already withered down, green onion cut too thickly, soup is just okay. It used to be better. The food has all the components. It just lacks care and soul. There's no life in it. Just soup, noodles and toppings assembled together like someone was following instructions without knowing what ramen really tastes like. I also had the rice combo. It came with two strands of hair. I didn't notice until a few bites in. Also lacks life in the food. Felt like just someone slapped some rice, meat and sweet sauce on top. Service was fine. 16.xx% auto gratuity added on your bill. (On the menu it said 15% but the server said a different number) This location needs a breath of new life. It's as if the owner set this up and left it running on its own without checking up on it.
For over a year, I've been a loyal customer at Hiro Nori, enjoying the vegan ramen weekly. However, my last three visits have been disappointing. The dish now contains significantly fewer vegetables and only 2-3 tiny tofu pieces, despite no change in price. While I appreciate the offer of a free meal, my concern is the consistent decline in quality. I'd love to see the original, generous vegan ramen return, and I'll gladly update my review if it does. I've attached photos showcasing the difference.

Ordered vegan ramen. The broth itself didn't have any flavor but with the spicy sauce and garlic toppings it was fine. The tofu pieces were cold and lacked any seasoning. Overall average experience for the price.
Food quality has declined from around 2-3 years ago. Tonkotsu broth is so salty and lacking any depth of flavor. It’s also no longer creamy rich color, just a bit liquidy. Tried to give it more chances since maybe it was an off day. But both this and the santa clara location have both gotten worse. Sad to say I will no longer be coming back. Used to be my go to for ramen, will have to look elsewhere…

This used to be one of my all time favorite restaurants. Their vegan ramen was amazing and I used to have it at least once in 2 weeks. Until today… I ordered via DoorDash - my usual vegan ramen with extra soft egg. Before mixing all the sides I happened to look at the egg closely which I usually never do. It had a blackish liquid on the top so I decided to cut it open. The egg was completely rotten inside and growing mold. I am shocked and saddened by this negligence and lack of quality checks. This has ruined ramen for good. Clearly they store leftover food and don’t think twice before serving spoiled food. I won’t be visiting or ordering from what user to be one of most favorite restaurants ever again :(
3 years ago, when I first tried this place, it was just as good as it is bad now and it keeps getting worse every year. Last year I realized they even secretly changed the noodles because I visited the restaurant every month. Today will definitely be my last time coming here. Do they really think customers are fools? After raising the prices, the soup bowls got smaller, the portions of noodles got less and the soup no longer has the color or taste of real tonkotsu broth. Even the chashu pork has no seasoning at all. The only thing that hasn’t changed is the tap water — it still has a fruity taste.
