Opinions de Cafe Izmir Dallas
I ordered takeout and the food was great! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-packaged.
How this restaurant has anything under five stars blows my mind! We have been coming here for 25 years and not only the service been spectacular, but it has been consistently amazing good Mediterranean food with awesome service all these years! There is something to be said about that! I have never had an unpleasant experience and the food remains consistent, healthy, fresh, and unlike any other restaurant Dallas can provide… In a city full of restaurants! Especially on a street like Greenville Avenue, very few restaurants have ever open after several years. There is something to be said about walking in the door quaint restaurant limited seating that just makes you feel special and like the food will come out perfect! It never fail. You cannot go Wrong at Cafe Izmir - I mean it. Please support this amazing restaurant!!
Absolutely an amazing experience! The food was very good and so many vegetarian options. There was live music and everyone is super friendly. They were able to accommodate our large party in a short time and truly grateful for that.
I love CafeI love Cafe Izmir. The food is consistently good. The lamb is amazing. The owner and the staff are always friendly and attentive. I have been going to this place for 25 years and it's still good.
We came for our anniversary and we are new to Dallas, Hadad provided the best service, personable, friendly, fun, we love him! The food was delicious, we couldn’t stop eating! I highly recommend this place and Hadad!
Had a great experience at Chefika restaurant! The food was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared, everything we tried was delicious. What really made the night special, though, was our server Luca. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel so welcome from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back!
Truly had the best time ! We went for a friend's birthday- there was like 13 ish of us and they were able to accommodate us easily. The restaurant is BYOB which is nice. The staff were all super friendly and the service was speedy. They do have $5 Valet out front which makes it easy to park. Food wise: the fresh pita bread is soo good!! I got the lamb kabobs and saffron rice and they were both so tasty. Overall loved the experience and definitely will be coming back !
Stopped by for our first time on New Year's Eve. Wonderful experience and amazing food. Hummus was incredible and the tomato and barrata appetizer was incredible. We will be back!
I ate at this restaurant for the first time last night, and it is instantly one of my favorite restaurants in Dallas! My girl and I stumbled upon this restaurant 20 minutes before closing while looking for a restaurant that was open. Despite us being the last customers of the day, and right at closing time, we were warmly welcomed in! The food was just phenomenal - we had the sampler platter with Hummus, Tabbouleh and shishitos, and then also the coconut shrimp and dolmas. Every item was exceptional, and ESPECIALLY the hummus with lamb, that is one of the best things I've ever eaten. Was so blown away by the food! The ambiance of the restaurant was impeccable - the lights everywhere, the pretty paintings for sale, the beautiful tables, bathrooms. And the service was so lovely - our server Marcello was so warm, polite and attentive. We also met who I assume was the owner? Overall we felt right at home, the interactions all felt very genuine and warm, I was truly touched by it all. Thanks so much guys, we will definitely be back ☺️
Wow! Amazing food, full of flavor! We ordered the lamb chops, lamb kebab entree, the chipotle hummus, the meat domas and the tabbouleh chicken salad. Highly recommended!
I don’t even like hummus and this place totally converted me. But now I’m spoiled and won’t get hummus anywhere else. Do yourself a favor and get the kabob tapas plates and a cabbage roll. We got lamb and saffron chicken. Amazing! We also got Sangria (delicious) and a Turkish coffee with tira misu dessert and they were both so good, I can’t recommend strongly enough. I loved the intimate cozy interior with twinkly fairy lights along the black ceiling and top level service.
This place is amazing... We're new to Dallas but frequent Mediterranean and restaurants.... And this place is a gem... The best falafels maybe ever... And the service was great. The vibe is fun... Intimate, casual, and fun..
Absolutely fell in love with this place! Our server was so lovely and made us feel so welcomed.. giving us the best treatment and recommendations. The atmosphere was so cozy and they had a singer who had such an amazing voice. The food was great! Such an underrated, not talked enough place. Hidden gem for sure!
Cafe Izmir is my favorite restaurant in Dallas. The food quality, service and venue vibe is unmatched. There’s something for everyone. The owner and his staff are kind, generous and make every guest feel right at home. The Turkish coffee, pomegranate shrimp and hummus + pita are spectacular. Every time I go it’s an unforgettable experience. Come hungry, leave happy.
Update: I also use them for catering and Beau the owner is AMAZING! He does most of the deliveries himself and is always accommodating to our needs. This is the best Mediterranean in DFW in my opinion! Love everything about this experience. The hospitality when we came in, to the kindness of our waiter, to the food taste and display! We ran out of pita with our 3 dip trio and we got more for no additional charge. Very delicious, very flavorful, great music and awesome staff.
This was my first time here. My sister's job had ordered from here. I had a very nice time. The food was really good. The staff was very attentive. It's rather small so I highly suggest making reservations. They had a musician playing and I really enjoyed that!
Went for a birthday meal, turned out fantastic. Service was outstanding, we got to sample house wine before we ordered. My niece got a bottle of wine to take home for her birthday that we all got to sign compliments of the restaurant, was an awesome touch. The Sangria was really good I had saffron shrimp and rice tried the saffron chicken as well both were great. For this cuisine in this area of Dallas prices are really good
Food was extremely satisfying. The entire staff was very hospitable and helpful. Dim lighting, candle lit-tables, live acoustic music, and fancy decor create the perfect ambiance. We had the privilege of enjoying the dinner for two. The spread was incredible and the meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Portion sizes were generous and the food came moderately quick. Paired with a beautiful sangria, this meal was definitely one of the highlights of our night. A note of warning, parking for Cafe Izmir is valet only. They don't advertise its cost but be sure to carry at least 5 dollars in cash for parking. Also, side note: the bathrooms had mouthwash in them so that's pretty cool. Didn't really match the fancy vibe of the rest of the restaurant though. 4.6/5 presentation 5/5 vibes 5/5 food 4.3/5 drink 3/5 bathroom
Our server was nice. We were his only table inside. He spent most of his time on the patio. We started with Izmir Hummus. It was very basic, no seasoning. Basically bland blend of garbanzo beans. Then had the meat dolmas. These were delicious, the only issues is that they were not wrapped very tightly. Next was the lamb roll. This was disappointing, lamb was alright, didn’t taste any pico. The only overwhelming part was the diced carrots. I noticed a couple Russian dishes on the menu, not sure what the connection is with Cafe Izmir. With that said, we next had the Beef Pirosky. This was so good. The beef was very tasty and the crispy roll was so light and flaky. Really enjoyed this tapa. We finally had the saffron chicken kabob. Again, very delicious. Chicken was fantastically flavored and so tender. We enjoyed it. Will be back, will sit on patio as that seems more attentive by staff. Will definitely try new dishes and repeat those we enjoyed.
Food was good, service wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t good either. We had tabbouleh and a Russian chicken salad as an appetizer and a salad and chicken for our meal. The chicken was cooked well and not dry at all and the salad was good, I got it with falafel and the falafel was great. At the beginning the waiter was attentive but after we were finishing up our meal and ask to get a box for our food and the check, we seemed to have been forgotten. Overall experience was nice, not a terrible place and the food was good.
Only valet parking, they don't charge for it mondays and Tuesdays. My waiter was very polite and helpful. The place was tidy and clean, I loved the decoration. Apparently the painting are for sale, so you could come to get tapas and leave with a original painting. The appetizer was excellent. I died with the pita bread, so amazing. The beef I had was very tender and good, little spicy. My friend had coffee, and said it was very good. Excellent experience.
