Unique setting, intriguing atmosphere, good service, very good latte - one of the best I've ever had!!

This coffee shop is very clean, banana latte and breakfast were amazing. I would definitely be coming back. They have a sitting area out front and in the back to enjoy with friends. I 💯 recommend. And there's a lot of parking available :)

EDIT: I adjusted the original review below because they turned over most of the staff, and the new baristas are fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable, always kind, and clearly enjoy being there and serving up great coffee. The service and atmosphere did a 180 from my previous review and now my family and I go every weekend! ORIGINAL: They have great lattes and a fantastic selection of bags of coffees to buy from other roasters. Unfortunately, one barista has consistently refused to make a pour over. One time he said it was for not having beans; another because the grinder was on the fritz (odd excuses for a coffee shop where both those things are fundamentally necessary). My family and I won’t be coming back as we feel uncomfortable and like an inconvenience.

FINALLY a coffee house in oak cliff! Loved my yummy chai latte. Reminds me of modern twist to white rhino in cedar hill. A coffee house with natural light& a separate room with seating to work.

Loved the atmosphere and staff are super friendly. Our wait time was a bit long but I'm attributing that to it being the weekend. The wait was definitely worth it. I tried the BFF drinking with Matcha and it was delicious.

This coffee house is such a gem! It’s literally a cozy house turned into a café, which gives it so much charm and warmth. I loved the option to sit inside or relax in the backyard, and the staff were incredibly friendly—taking the time to ask questions and really get to know me. The whole experience felt personal and inviting!

The coffee was amazing—rich, smooth, and full of flavor in a way that instantly made the whole visit feel special. The banana peanut butter toast was just as impressive: perfectly toasted bread, creamy peanut butter, and fresh banana slices that balanced everything out. Together, they made for a simple but unforgettable breakfast. I’ll definitely be coming back.

A unique gem that oozes character. Excellent selection of specialty coffee with advanced processing methods and wild flavor profiles. The espresso and pour over were prepared perfectly and we really liked the seasonal drinks. I recommend going out of your way to visit.

The people at the counter were very friendly immediately after coming inside, had a great experience talking over their options and the barista recommended a few options. I ordered their newest house made syrup in my matcha and it was exceptional. Very dog friendly place my dog was given a pup cup free of charge and there were other dogs in the building. Highly recommend and I will definitely be coming back!

I love everything about this coffee shop! They have a really good rotation of drinks, and always come up with creative drinks for the seasons! I have tried both their specialties and their regular build your own latte, and I enjoy them very much. Good beans and good alternative milk options!

The staff are super genuine, friendly, and overall extremely welcoming. I ordered the 75224 which was amazing and my favorite, alongside the Marias. I’d 100% come in again for its warm and welcoming environment and staff and of course the coffee!

Amazing staff, amazing atmosphere, and amazing options. Slow and steady has been one of very few cafes that has naturally found its place in Oak cliff. Zach and Tiffany stand out amongst the staff as hardworking individuals who always offer memorable conversation and a positive experience.

Zach brews a mean coffee…the staff is wonderful (very personable and pleasant), My order is the BFF with matcha and espresso (it’s very earthy so I ask them to make it sweet) The breakfast pastries are good and the space is cute but small Gave 4 stars just because there were alot of flies

Iced Lattes took away that goodness 🤔 but nonetheless I enjoyed it and tried their coffee cake, also super tasty! Still love their vibe too :) Came in with 2 friends, service was quick and friendly! We love the atmosphere and the seating options (they have a patio). They have a healthcare discount which was super nice 😊 Two of us got a brown sugar latte with oat milk (iced) and my other friend got a lavender latte with oat milk (iced). I personally don’t like minor figures oat milk, it gives a weird taste so I opted for califia instead and my other friends got the minor figures to compare. We said califia reduced the bitterness in the coffee and made it smooth while minor figures downgraded the flavor. Overall, the coffee was a 4/10. This is the second place I’ve been to where they use minor figures unfortunately for their oatmilk. We’ll be back to try other things and for the vibe of the coffee place as it has nice seating to study and natural lighting ✨

Trying really hard to give this place a fair shot, mostly because I genuinely enjoy their coffee. But wow—they might just be redefining what “slow coffee” means. Honestly, the name is refreshingly accurate. It’s less a coffee shop, more a patience-building exercise. Every visit is a masterclass in how not to operate at even a semi-efficient pace. And no, it’s not because they’re slammed—there could be two people ahead of you and somehow you’re still in for a solid 15-minute wait. I’ve had slower mornings, but at least I wasn’t paying for those. Great coffee, truly. Just be sure to cancel your next appointment before stopping by.

Coffee here is great. Seasonal menus are nice and tasty. Atmosphere is bright and cute, if you can get a seat near the window the study/hang vibe is great. Service is a mixed bag. Sometimes the baristas have not been very knowledgeable about the seasonal menu. Other times service was a bit cold. Today I came in and there were only a few customers in the building, ordered a cold brew and waited 5 minutes, just to be told they forgot about or misplaced my drink. They remade it (it’s cold brew so it’s just poured into a cup) but the fact that the store was empty, nobody knew what happened to my drink, and nobody was asking if I had been helped while I was waiting, seems like it’s a bit unorganized behind the counter. Like the name, expect slow service, might be best to go elsewhere if you need a drink quicker.

drinks are yummy but the wifi is really bad. i wouldn’t work here again, but might come with friends to chat or read. drinks r expensive. but its cute and the staff are nice

It's disappointing that there was wayyy too much ice taking up space in the cup since the coffee was actually really good. I was taken aback to pay over $7-$8 per coffee to get 70% ice and 30% coffee. NOT WORTH IT! but that's just my opinion

I specified that I needed a non-dairy milk (oat) in my latte, because of a dairy allergy. I waited approximately 30 minutes for my coffee, took one sip after leaving and immediately had severe stomach pain. I called and they confirmed that they did use dairy milk in my drink. I expressed my disappointment and pain, and they said they would be careful next time and offered a free coffee. Staff is slow and they only take exact cash. Clean environment, but pets are allowed inside. Mellow music and very limited parking.

Several things could be improved. Went in on a Sunday. We noticed they were busy, but didn’t expect for our wait time to be about 25 minutes for two lattes. Paid nearly $17 for both. Parking is not sufficient. Before placing our order one employee informed the employee taking orders that she should let folks know how long they would be waiting- she didn’t do that. Given the price, wait time and lack of convenient parking, I will not be returning.

I'm no stranger to horrible parking in OC so parking is not great for new people, but pretty standard for non-chain locations in the area. Seating, if it's packed, don't expect to be able to work. There's not enough desk space but you can always use the outside weather permitting. So if you're new and reading this - anticipate long waits for a single order, little to no seating if you're in a group, and them to forget about your food.
