Opinions de Spiral Diner Dallas
I'm definitely a carnivore but the vegan food here was amazing. The breakfast burrito was delicious and filling. My wife enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. We even came back for dinner. Jerk sandwich was tasty. The nachos are yummy and filling. The service was first rate with friendly and helpful staff. Would be a regular stop if I lived nearby.
Really homey! Fresh food. Amazing milkshake. Got the biscoff milkshake. Really good coconut latte. Love the crab cakes! I have never seen that option at any vegan place. So many different types of foods!- didn’t get to try the gumbo because it’s their best seller and sold out. Definitely coming again for that. I would probably skip the limeade’s. Did taste like mostly packaged syrup, not fresh and did not come out cold, just room temperature. However, everything else was great! Very generous portions and very flavorful.
So delicious we ate here twice in one day - breakfast and dinner. Portions large enough that we didn’t need lunch at all. Biscuits & gravy were creamy, savory, and the edges of the biscuits were nicely crunchy. My rather carnivorous husband loved his vegan chorizo burrito (breakfast baddie burrito) with home potatoes. For dinner, he had the jerk chik’n sandwich. The nachos junior was more than enough for us to share and I appreciated that there was plenty of toppings on most of the chips, even the ones at the bottom of the bowl. I also had a side of Mac n cheese, which was creamy and savory. Adam was a fantastic, helpful, and friendly server. Oh! And we got a Mardi Gras donut and chocolate brownie togo - omg, SO delicious.
I've always loved Spiral Diner! I miss their other locations as I don't make it to Ft Worth as often, but when I do, it's where I go for lunch. My favorite is the Ghost Burger made with their in-house cashew-quinoa patty. The perfect amount of heat and the patty is so yummy. Paired with a side salad. Currently on the menu is a fizzy strawberry lemonade that rocks! They are hoping to make it a permanent menu item. You don't have to be a vegan or even a vegetarian to enjoy Spiral. If you like breakfast, the pancakes are to die for (add the pecans, you won't be disappointed).
I miss when Spiral was in Bishop Arts (my main location) but working in Fort Worth has given me the opportunity to revisit Spirals amazing menu and bring it back to Dallas at the end of the work day! The Nacho Supremo, Texas red chili, and their Mac and cheese is some of the best whether you’re vegan or not. The staff are also so friendly, and professional! I wish a Spiral would come back to Dallas, but I’m just glad it exists anywhere at all for now to grab some of their chili cheese home fries, and bacon ranch cheese burgers!
Fun, funky, fabulousness! Try the Cri Pickle San'ich for a memorable experience - pickles, mayo, AND peanut butter on Texas toast. OMG! Why did it work so well?! Friendly staff, happy place - just loved my visit here. Stop by on your next visit to Magnolia Avenue!
I had Delicious Jerk Chik’n sandwich with pasta salad. I also got cupcake for afterwards. It’s a really funky, friendly restaurant! The service was good, but could have been a little faster for the office lunch crowd. I will definitely be going back to try some of their other options!
We had such a great experience at Spiral Diner! Mimi was our server and truly took care of us from start to finish; attentive, friendly and made the whole experience feel easy and welcoming. We ordered the frito pie with jalapeños (so good!) and a couple of burgers, and honestly, everything hit. The vibe was spot-on: lively without being loud, relaxed without feeling too quiet; just the perfect balance to enjoy good food and conversation. You really can’t go wrong ordering anything on the menu, but whatever you do, don’t skip dessert. Absolute must-try. We’ll definitely be back!!
1st time trying....needed some comfort food while on this fast. No meat, no dairy, no sugar. I wanted to try a couple things. The Nachos! I got the jr.....enough for 2 people. Delicious. I was so full and only ate like a third of it BUT wanted more. lol I took 2 bites of the potato grilled cheese w/side of mac n cheese. The grilled cheese for me had alot of carbs and it was just homefries between bread. Mac was ok..could use a little kick around in it...just a tad. Desserts looked yum but stayed away. lol Service was excellent.
I am not a vegan but my cousin is and I loved everything I ate there. We ate lunch there it was delicious then we ate dinner there too it was delicious. I ate the loaded queso and chips for lunch. Then for dinner I had the pancake with pecan’s added, it was delicious really didn’t need syrup. The service was top notch and didn’t ever want for anything. I believe this will be our meetup spot from here on out. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
*CEDRIC* YOU WERE RIGHT! That cinnamon swirl filled.. (the one surrounded by the knife and fork lol) what ever the name is... give me 8 more of them!!! Best one in the box by FAR! Really cool place with just about everything... I only tried the donuts so I can't vouch for anything except that. But the service we amazing! Definitely worth a shot if you have a sweet tooth.
I had a great experience at Spiral Diner and Bakery. The food was excellent and the service matched it. Lexi took care of my table and she stood out right away. She was attentive, patient, and knew the menu well. Her attitude and work ethic make her the kind of person any restaurant would be lucky to have. She deserves serious consideration for employee of the year. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere that fits the style of the place. I did notice a few incandescent bulbs on the walls. I would recommend switching them to LED lighting since it can reduce electrical use and lower the utility bill over time. It would also be a cleaner option for the environment. Overall, Spiral Diner and Bakery delivered a solid visit from start to finish and I look forward to coming back. Strongly recommend it! Please do not miss out! Trust me! You won't regret!! Good vibes.
What a find! My husband and I were recently visiting Fort Worth and were lucky enough to find this fabulous vegan diner! Sometime the only food that will hit the spot is diner food and to find one that is fully vegan…wow! Spiral Diner definitely delivers! The food was really delicious, the service was wonderful, super friendly and very efficient (thank you so much Adam!), and the vibe is fun and perfect with great music! I ordered the Nighthawk and my husband ordered the Homer with a side of hash browns. I don’t know what kind of bacon they serve but it is some of the best bacon I have had! The pancakes were the perfect amount of fluffy and delicious and the jam was delicious on both the Texas toast and the pancakes! We didn’t get any of the bakery items because we were so full but they all looked delicious! We will most definitely be back to Spiral Diner and Bakery on our next trip to Fort Worth!
Never really ate a all Vegan restaurant but this time my girl took me on a date, and she's Vegan, I'm an Omnivore and I LOVED it! The vibe, the food, service and drinks were Perfect, the only thing I suggest is music or TV, some kind of Entertainment. I had the Jerk Chkn and chips with the Mango Margarita, salt on the rim. Plus a Oreo Shake & a $50 bottle of Great Tasting Wine. 😘🤌🏼
Incredible gluten-free and entirely vegan entrees and desserts. Be warned, the Buffalo Nacho platter is enough for two, maybe three people. If you like hearty chili, add the potatoes and make it a mouth-watering meal. Take enough to go so you can enjoy their desserts, you will love every bite.
I have been a Spiral Diner fan for over a decade! I was a long-time customer at the Dallas location & a sometimes customer at the Denton location. Now with both of those no longer operating, I have taken my business to Ft Worth! Love it here so much! This is a place you can take your loved ones that don’t even have the same dietary restrictions as you…because the food is just SO GOOD!
As a non-vegan I was blown away by this meal. Aside from the bacon, which was still delicious but different texture-wise to normal bacon, everything was pretty much indistinguishable from the real thing. Our waitress, Olivia, was excellent and made some great recommendations. The gluten free pancakes were delicious. Huge portions and friendly service.
I recently visited Fort Worth with my family and dined at Spiral Diner and Bakery with my non-vegan family, and we were all blown away by the delicious vegan offerings! We started with the Nacho Supreme as an appetizer, which was so good that we ended up ordering another one. Even my non-vegan family couldn't resist the nachos! I personally enjoyed the VLT (vegan BLT) with a side of Mac and cheese. While the Mac and cheese wasn't amazing, it had good flavor. Our waiter, Q, deserves a special mention for going above and beyond to accommodate our group of 4 adults and 2 kids. Q made sure we had a fantastic dining experience from start to finish. We couldn't resist trying every cupcake available, and our favorite was the strawberry flavor. Overall, I 100% recommend Spiral Diner and Bakery to anyone visiting Fort Worth, TX soon. Be sure to ask for Q! The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch. Can't wait to visit again!

My daughter and I came here for lunch and had the best meals ever! She got a patty melt. I got the gyro plate, and it was amazing!! I loved the lemon caper potato wedges!! I'm still thinking about them. I've been here a few times and always had great food, and the restaurant is very cute and colorful. The service was not very attentive, the only caveat.
Omg the food. Any meat lover will love these Vegan meals. Had the Philly Cheese Steak and my friend had the Pizza sandwich. Neither of us are vegan and we loved it. And the Sunday!!! It tasted like it looked. Shout out to MiMi for her service. I got a tea blue berry soda mix and it was perfect for lightly sweet flavored tea.
My friend & I visited here last year, she is vegan - I am not, but this is her favorite place. Remember it being good, forgot to write review originally. We visited 9/5/25 (on a Friday) for brunch for her bday. Had reservations at 10am, not busy at all! She ordered Tofu Scrambled & pancakes (she loved them). I ordered Baked Potato Grill cheese & fries, yum! Fries (small cut potatoes) were really good. We also ordered from the bakery (forgot which cookie I got, but was really good) & she got brownies (always loves them)! Great service, definitely recommend especially if you’re vegan!

The food is amazing. The service was okay. What was not okay is the waitress handing me the handheld pay device and saying just sign there, with the tip amount on 25%. The minimum tip amount being 20% rather than 18%, with options for 25% and lastly an even higher amount. At this point, it feels like an attempted robbery. "Just sign." And she did not even refill my water, and I had to repeat my request for her to check on a certain food item. The $49 for two meals apparently wasn't enough, and they feel they need to reach right into customer's pockets for high tip amounts apparently. Oh, and the wait wasn't exactly short either.
I hate that I’m giving it 3 stars. I used to RAVE about their nacho cheese. It was liquid gold! Unfortunately the change of recipe has affected the quality of their food significantly. Add that with the surge of their prices. It just doesn’t seem like a good place to come eat good food anymore. The staff though is amazing and did accommodate for not having guacamole and not notifying me. But at the end of the day it comes to good tasting food and these nachos are not it anymore.
I visited Spiral Diner & Bakery (Fort Worth location) recently and unfortunately had a deeply disappointing experience. From the moment we were seated, it seemed the server delayed service to our table while attending other patrons. When she finally got to us, she delayed taking our order and then served a later‑arriving table (same dish) before us. She claimed it was because we ordered a “meal” rather than an “appetizer,” but I know how restaurant operations work (I used to work at a location of Spiral when the Dallas restaurant was open), and that explanation simply didn’t hold up. Her dismissive attitude asking “Are you happy now?” after our food arrived struck me as disrespectful and felt intentionally condescending, not casual banter. All of this made it clear we were treated differently than other diners. As a Black woman, it’s painful and exhausting to continually experience these coded, unequal behaviors when all we wanted was a fair, respectful dining experience. I hope the management sees this review, acknowledges there’s a real problem, and addresses how staff treat Black customers. Other than that the food was good just hoped for a better experience.
I’ve been a long time Spiral customer, over the years I feel like the quality in service has gone down while the prices have gone up. There’s many things that have happened in regards to service and food quality that I just let slide but the tip of the iceberg is the service at ArtsGoggle (which I can understand it’s a super busy festival and it can get hectic) I went in excited cause I haven’t had a funnel cake in over 10 years, and also excited cause the big margarita. I get in, order the margarita and the cashier said “the Takis Elote as well?” I said no… the funnel cake. But idk it felt weird to me cause I am Hispanic so wasn’t sure if it was just cause they pair well, or because of the obvious, just felt odd… Anyway I get the drink and the funnel cake The 32oz drink had a good 1/4 of it missing and the funnel cake was boneless Almost $30 for this, is crazy to me. Anyway, this is just my experience… As a vegan, already having limited options to eat in Fort Worth, it sucks when the vegan restaurants do this.
It's about one of the only vegan spots around and although it's good, the prices are way too high! Some of the staff can be nice while others, it feels were ignored.

When I dine in, the food is always phenomenal, but unfortunately, every time I place a to-go order, something seems to be missing or not quite right. Today, both pasta salads were saturated in oil, which leaked onto my burger, making the meal too greasy to enjoy. I’m really disappointed because I’ve always loved their food, but I think I’ll have to stop ordering takeout from Spiral

What people say about Spiral Diner
Dallas's Spiral Diner: Vegan Comfort Food That Wows Everyone
You know, Dallas has its share of classic diners, but there’s one spot that consistently surprises folks, meat-eaters and vegans alike: Spiral Diner. Tucked away in town, it’s got this vibe that just pulls you in, and honestly, the food is something else. I’ve heard so many friends rave about their first time here, often dragged along by a vegan pal, only to leave utterly converted. Take the Philly Cheese Steak – yep, vegan – it’s so good, even die-hard carnivores are shocked. Same goes for t...
Dallas's Vegan Comfort: Spiral Diner's Delicious Quirk
Alright, Dallas friends, let's talk about Spiral Diner. If you’re living the plant-based life or just curious about how good vegan comfort food can truly be, chances are Spiral Diner is already on your radar. It’s one of those essential spots in town because, let’s be real, dedicated vegan diners aren't exactly on every corner. First off, the food here is genuinely good. Like, really good. Picture classic diner fare, but all vegan, and without sacrificing flavor. I’ve heard plenty of folks ra
