Opinions de Bearded Lady Fort Worth
What a hidden gem! Reasonably priced cocktail and an amazing happy hour! Customer service was amazing. Mixologists was fat and so very friendly! Love the vibe!
The Usual is my go-to bar in Fort Worth. It strikes the perfect balance between laid-back and upscale. The bartenders are amazing, delivering exceptional service and expertly crafting unique cocktails. I appreciate a place with real mixologists who know their craft, and the drinks here never disappoint.
One of my favorite no-fuss places for craft and classic vintage cocktails. If you love a creative cocktail, go here! Laid back, calm vibe where you can have a conversation thanks to the semi-private booths, or feel free to sit at the bar that's always busy and chat with the bartenders. One of the few bars we repeatedly come back to. Highly recommend.
I didn't get a picture of my cocktail, but I snapped a pic for the recipe. I Found My Sally was absolutely delicious! The drinks here are quite pricey, but they're all made with high quality ingredients. So that does come at a premium. Great vibe. Nice place to chill and relax with a group of friends to have a cocktail or two.
Excellent ambience, love the hidden speakeasy vibe. I seriously recommend the non-alcoholic Prosecco, it was so good! We were seated off to the side in a cozy booth (not pictured since I forgot to take many pictures). Will be back for a date night or catch-up with the gals.
Beautiful cocktail bar, with amazing happy hour and the bartenders are wonderful. Will be back soon. Also bring your own food 🥑!
The best mixologist bar in Ft Worth. The bartenders are always friendly and ready to talk liquors and bitters etc., if you know the subject. A great place to have a drink, go for a local meal which are all within walking distance, then have a nightcap. Park behind and take your valuables. Highly Recommended
Great, chill spot. The drinks are delicious and the staff is friendly. Thanks Dexter and Manda
Always an excellent experience. The sound of shakers and the taste of hand crafted drinks is a must. The staff always have a superb suggestion for each pallet. Favorite must try, Don't Ask, Don't Tell and Rose On Rose On Rose.
Awesome spot in Magnolia. Super chill vibe, great staff, and amazing selection! One of the best old fashioneds I've ever had!
Will always come back to the usual. Impeccable cocktails and great folks every time. One of the best gems in Fort Worth!
It’s a cozy bar/lounge with craft cocktails and good vibes. I got the Rose on Rose on Rose drink and it was really good!
Good pours and lively conversation with the bartenders with a wide variety of different liquors.
Great when not really busy. Drinks are solid, service is good. If they are slammed, it is a very long wait for drinks because they do not batch anything, it's all hand made.
Cody was a helluva guy! Overall great bartender in overalls
We had such a good time at the Bearded Lady! My boyfriend and I were in Fort Worth for an anime convention, this place was within walking distance of the convention center so we decided to check it out! The beer selection was amazing, and the bartenders said it changes frequently, so you’re sure to find something you like. The food was so good, definitely try the feisty Mac and cheese! We had such a good time on Friday that we went back for a few more beers Saturday night as well! Highly recommend!
Im a regular at bearded and had to finally leave a review ! The food is always top tier 😋 the atmosphere is so fun plus I get to bring my dog! They always have a fun theme going on! I love bringing all my friends 🧡 all the servers are so nice plus management coming up to us making sure everything is okay is just the cherry on top 👍🏻 will be forever a regular!
Great atmosphere and the decor and vibe is so friendly for someone who is queer! The bearded lady staff is lively fun and so friendly! I’ve been to bingo night and won and it was such a treat! The constantly changing monthly menus items makes this spot a fun place to try their new creations on the regular and boy do they have some home runs!! Highly recommend for family and a night out!
Absolutely love this place! I went on a Wednesday early lunch time. The bartender was the best and so was the beer selection. The food is great too! The fried pickle chips were our favorite. Their burgers and sandwiches are amazing too. Their Wednesday special was a $5 smash burger, so good. My only critique would be the crème brûlée; it was not good. We will definitely be back!
My friend and I walked in the restaurant’s door (after walking past the outdoor seating area with a gravel floor, a stage for live entertainment, picnic tables, a couple of high top tables, plastic and wooden Adirondack chairs, all covered with stringed bulb lighting), and found ourselves a nice booth, and we sit. We find ourselves in a high ceilinged industrial space that looks thrift store chic. There are butcher block tables surrounded by mismatched chairs, live plants everywhere (the Christmas cactuses near us could’ve used a little sip of water), liquor basket, lighting, hanging from the ceiling, cactuses painted on the walls, along with some other, very interesting artwork, and a beautiful bar with 25 draft pull handles, a beer lovers dream. Josh! I knew he was going to be great when he arrived at the table carrying two huge glasses of ice water. It was around noon, Texas afternoon and a water was just what we needed at that moment, beer would’ve been better, but we hadn’t gotten that far yet. We chatted with Josh about beer, we both started out with a Lager that had a beautiful coconut finish, that last flavor that comes through a few seconds after you swallow your beer. The menu was plentiful and fairly priced, we ended up with roasted brussels sprouts, and a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich with avocado with a side of tater tots and queso. Joshua was great throughout our visit, keeping track of us, always there when we needed him, but not hovering, making sure that second beer came right away. I thought I had way more pictures, but the two will lower the only ones I could find on my phone. I guess the rest are filed away in my memory. If you’re looking for a chill, laid-back place, to stop in for lunch, or dinner I imagine, give this place a shot. It’s definitely worth the time, the money, and I’m sure the staff will make you feel right at home. Oh yeah, if the company you come with is a little boring they’re a bunch of games that they have that you can grab and play. Have fun!
This was such a great spot!! Love the open outdoor seating and live bands. We got to enjoy the beautiful Texas evening weather. Fun selection of drinks. The food options were so good that we all shared our orders so we could all try a few things! Our service was ok, our server seemed to not be overly interested in interacting with us. Barely made eye contact and got us our check as soon as we were ready… super fast. Would go back!
LOVED the fried pickles!! I had a Pineapple Margarita and was pleasantly surprised how good it was! I also ordered the BBB sandwich with fries.... Sooooo yummy! This was my first experience here and I wanted to make sure I ordered something different than just a burger. I'd definitely go back! The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was pleasant. The music was good and not loud. I didn't have to raise my voice to talk with others at my table. Loved that they had pillows for the booths.
I give this place a 4.5 overall. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Time of dine in was between 6:30 and 7:30 pm on a Saturday. Ordered the queso with pickled pico de gallo. Great chip to dip ratio. If you’re a big back, you know exactly what I mean by that. I ordered the BYO Burger. Did not dissapoint. They do cook their burgers medium well(It states that on the menu) but they accommodate different wellness finishes. The Cola was good. ‘Bearded Marg’ and ‘Crushed on You’ drinks were strong but and not overwhelming. Great spot. Would definitely recommend. Another perk is that parking is close by.
Great food! Splendid patio, fun decor, big beer selection… nice spot on Main! Great vibe, here, with fun artistic chalk drawings and eclectic tap handles. Staff is excitingly weird, and it just “feels right” to hang out at Bearded. The food is always delightful with little twists here and there to separate Bearded from other venues and always executed wonderfully Beer selection is great - yes, lots of locals but also a fair number of solid national/regional brands which is very pleasant. Tait
Dexter and Chris were amazing!! This is my new spot! Happy I rolled upon this for a nice night cap happy hour.
Great place and high quality cocktails. The only negative was all the staff wore masks. We're nearly 2 years since this thing started stop it already
This past Sunday 8/24 we visited the bearded lady for the first time. We were in the area and decided to try it out. Ok so I had the Big dill and my boyfriend had the chicken Philly. The Big dill was different, I didn’t like the cheese sauce so much but it was do-able. The fries were great and the ranch was good. The chicken Philly had a bit of spice to it. But my boyfriend says it was good. We also had drinks. We had a lemon drop martini each. They were made well, just didn’t seems like it had much liquor. The only thing we had a bit of an issue with was that they charged us for “lemon” which we assumed it was the flavoring for the martini. So the ticket looked like: $24 martini $4 lemon drop We were like ooooh ok, never seen that before. We did ask for it to be reviewed, they took it off. Just pay attention to what you are being charged for. Everything about the place was cute & ok with me. Our waiter was good.
Had a really nice time hanging out at the bearded lady. Had just gone somewhere nearby where the service wasn’t that great, so this was very refreshing. Our server was very engaging and helpful, suggested other local recommendations to us as well. Ordered several cocktails; only giving four stars based on the fact that it would’ve been nice to have a larger cocktail selection or listing of actual liquor options on the menu, which was only scannable by phone. Great outdoor seating area. The appetizers like queso and chips and fried pickles looked amazing, also saw them bring out several hamburgers that looked awesome. We will be back to try out for dinner! Sounds like they are also opening a sister property a few blocks away.
This is a nice little spot in the near southside with a great patio area. We've been several times. The drinks are well made, and they have a pretty nice beer selection. The food has always been good. The only thing they could do better on is continued training of the staff. Some of them are good, some of them however you can tell have their mind elsewhere and in some cases don't know the menu. That's an easy fix with management though if they recognize it. Overall it's nothing that would prevent us from going back. Great spot.
Drinks were good and service was great. Loved that atmosphere but the septic/sewage smell was overwhelming so we only stayed for one drink. Would visit again if that issue is fixed.
I’m giving a 3 because I had a really great experience the first time I came here. The food was on point and the overall vibe was awesome. However, the second time, my burger was extremely cold. I was told it was because the kitchen was prepping ahead for a rush due to the special, which I totally understand… But unfortunately, everyone at my table ended up with cold burgers and hot fries. That kind of inconsistency is disappointing, because you never know what you might get. So. -2 stars for that. That said, I still love the ambiance, and our waiter was super cool ..
We came in for brunch, sat inside. There’s a huge outdoor seating area too with shade. Our server was also the bar tender and he let us know he might get slammed with drinks ahead of time which was nice to have the heads up. Our food came out totally staggered, half our people were done eating and a few still hadn’t gotten their food, we all ordered at the same time. Our app came out last after everyone finished eating. The bartender was indeed slammed so we had to flag down other waiters for sauce/ silverware. Food was decent, they have a handful of vegetarian options that are clearly labeled. Our bartender looked like he had been out all night and hadn’t gone home yet, you could see how dirty his clothes were, he just looked like he could use a shower so when he’s handing us drinks and stuff it was kind of off putting. Not trying to be disrespectful to him it was just like…. alarming how dirty he looked and he’s touching our food and drinks. Not our favorite spot in town, but could be fun under the right circumstances
I’m hoping we just caught them on a rough night. Last night was my birthday and I really wanted to check out The Usual as I saw they do silent book club nights! However, the two working did not give off the most friendly vibes. We tried to make light conversation but one just walked away while the other hardly responded. The drinks were fine, but after the first interaction it made it hard to enjoy. Based on other reviews, I am hoping it was just an off night, but it makes me hesitant to return for the silent book club nights if the service isn’t going to match the inviting atmosphere.
I loved the environment. My husband and I wanted to try something new but the food was not very good at all. My husband got the chicken yellow belly and I got a smash burger. All our food was cold including the tots and the chicken on my husband’s sandwich had no seasoning or flavor. We both only took a few bites of our food. Way too expensive for the quality. Nice staff and environment though I’ll give them that.
Owners have common sense and be nice to everyone! My company has 120 employees , we were looking for somewhere to have our Christmas party... it wont here here the owner is RUDE!!!!!!
I typically don’t leave reviews, but I felt the need to address our short experience at The Bearded Lady. Upon arrival, my friends and I admired the ascetic, the music. It seemed like a great atmosphere to eat, drink and hang out. The waitress told us we can just take a seat. She approached and we asked for menus and she said they were available when we scan the QR code. My friend asked what kind of drinks did they have, she responded with “ a wide selection of draft beer, and some cocktails but they are expensive” She then went ahead and told us she will get us some water. We sat there trying to process the comment, and trying to figure out why it was necessary. She brought out the waters and told us she will give us a few more minutes. We took a few drinks and decided it be best for us to go. As we stood up, she noticed us leaving. We just told her we were going somewhere else, her reply was “it’s a lot right” Unsure if the comments were made out of ill intent. But it didn’t sit well. Don’t assume a $14 dollar drink would be too expense for a group of people dressed very casual. We decided to go next door to Buena Vida and spent about 230 for tacos and margaritas.
