Opinions de Susan's Hamburgers N More Dallas
My mom and I were rerouted on our way to Oklahoma to visit my niece. We hadn’t eaten all day, and I noticed this enormous hamburger statue on the corner of Singleton in Dallas. I also noticed a couple of delivery guys leaving the place with white paper bags, along with a drive thru window. All the signs of great burger joint. I pulled up to the drive thru window and was greeted by this adorable Hispanic young lady. She had great customer service. So far so good. I ordered two cheeseburgers one with fries, the other with onion rings. I am picky about my burgers. This burger joint did not disappoint. This was your old fashion country store burger. The patty was fresh, thin meat patty, seasoned to perfection. It had the perfect amount of salt and pepper. The bun was perfectly toasted and buttered on both sides. We enjoyed the thick fries and onion rings as well. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to finish nearly half the order, due to filling up on the tasty burger. This place has longevity, because they understand the importance of keeping the classics around. I am so grateful we were rerouted. I can’t wait to return to Susan’s on my way home. I’ve paid more than $25 at fast food chains for a much smaller burger with less taste.
I had 4 chkn Tacos, 3corn 1 flour with extra extra cilantro i had the green sauce man they where delicious! My hubby had the bacon cheeseburger with fries they where all out of steak cut fries but the fries we got still delicious young lady at front was so sweet and nice, sadly i don’t live around i stay in forth worth tx, but i will be back pretty soon for our first time it was a excellent experience!
This place is your typical, neighborhood, mom-and-pop burger place. Quality burgers and sides prepared fresh. Nothing bougie…. They aren’t trying to push the culinary envelope. However. you can get a complete meal here for the price of just a hamburger at most other options nearby. I recommend ordering inside.
Easily the best Philly cheese steak I’ve eaten. Not your typical frozen streak and flavorless vegetables. Roll tasted like scratch baked. Vegetables tasted like they were cooked fresh. They had a little crunch left to them. Spectacular
The beef fajita torta was really good and the homemade ranch.
Very small hamburger place with excellent burgers!
Single cheeseburger + bacon was great and fresh made. Burger bun was buttery and toasted. Fries were decent. Overall a solid meal from a spot with tons of personality. Ordered two tripa tacos and they were good, too. Don't skip the Blue bell ice cream for dessert. Will be back.
Great homemade tasting food. The chicken burrito is very good. If my husband likes it, i know it's great. Fast, friendly atmosphere. A great family owned place. I will be visiting more often.
My friend and I had the tacos without the meat and that was so delicious. It was not on the menu but she offered to make it for us. And we were both pleasantly surprised how delicious they turned out to be. Had to come back the next day 🙂 just great food and best service, the price was also very affordable.
Awesome food. Price was on par with a restaurant but the servings were huge. There isn’t really a way to get in with a wheelchair inside. You can roll your wheelchair outside but you’ll have to sit under a fan in the heat. I think it’s best to order for pickup. Service was great. The lady at the front brought the food out to us when she noticed that we had a disabled person with us and she was incredibly kind and I won’t forget that! Thank you
Had great burgers. Staff was very friendly. I'll go back. My parents liked it too. Make sure you try their homemade ranch dressing.
After driving by for the longest, my husband stopped to get a burger to go for our lunch today. We had the Mexican Cheeseburger single burger and it was loaded with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, jalapenos, ham, hot dog and cheese on a toasted bun. It was the very best burger we have had in forever and it was cooked perfectly to order. The employees were very friendly too. The wait was between 15 - 20 minutes but as I said, was fresh off the grill. Meat was seasoned perfectly for us and not salty at all which is usually the case. We found our new go to burger place. Family owned is a huge plus for us.
Best burger I have had in a while!! They are big burgers. A single would have been fine for me. Tacos were great. My daughter loved the torta. Kevin was awesome and great at going over their menu.
Went to the drive up window and the guy there was friendly and answered our questions since this was our first time eating here. The food is amazing! Got the chicken Philly and it’s good!
this place is a hidden gem, the food here is absolutely delicious ( the menu is quite big too ) everything from the Burgers to the wings to the tacos to even the tater tots are all cooked perfectly. Add on to that it's a small family run business with great customer service and a patio outside to eat at if the weather is nice ( also they sell beer here fyi ). Overall this is an amazing restaurant and I highly recommend them.
By far the best burger I have ever had! 10/10
First time here. Got the double cheeseburger burger with tots. Outstanding better than any chain burger place. Don’t expect a great seating area. But the food is definitely worth coming back for. I’ll be back to try other things on the menu.
Ample amount of parking, clean place, no smells of cleaners, only good food. While the waiting area was a bit smaller than expected, it was well worth the wait. Got a bacon cheeseburger to go. I had the choice of fries, onion rings or tater tots. Burger was fresh cooked. Onions and tomatoes were still firm from being fresh sliced. I dont remember the last time I had such a good burger.
$20 for double cheeseburger and fries. They were thick and juicy and well worth it
I looked at the menu and thought it was a bit pricey for a burger. After trying these burgers for the first time, I realized IT WAS WORTH IT! I just had the standard #1 burger and fries. GREAT BURGER! The fries were well seasoned! The guy at the service window was super nice and friendly! I was a bit confused when I first got there, didn't know if there was an inside, but I went through the drive-through.
Adrian was a cool dude and was extremely helpful. Will be back on service alone
Omg what can I say about this place, had never been before, but I'm so glad I stopped in today after work. Burgers are so big and juicy and fries are to die for. I would actually put this joint on a higher lvl than Burger House, Keller's, Jake's or Honkies in the Bishop arts district. They are simple, big, fresh, tasty and good vibe. Highly recommend this place
Delicious cheeseburger and tots! 🍔🤤 The person at the drive thru was super nice. They said their card machine was down temporarily, but luckily I had cash. (Good food, bring cash just in case). 💵💸
This is the "hole in the wall" burger joint you're looking for. I had the Mexicana cheese burger and it was just amazing. Avocado, onion, jalapeno, lettuce, tomato, cheese. Everything was cooked fresh and not frozen. The tater tots were crispy on the outside and tender in the middle.
This was delicious!! Portions are great for the price and all food is cooked to order! Great place for a burger many variations and multiple options for other great bites including the Philly cheesesteak the breakfast burrito and more. I’m definitely coming back! Thank you all
This tiny hole in the wall place is worth a dive! Their burgers are massive and juicy topped with fresh veggies. Their Tacos Al Pastor are amazing! The green salsa was the chef’s kiss to my taco plate. Their Mexican rice and refried beans are the best I’ve had in years! The staff was friendly and happy to serve. Don’t drive past this place when you are driving through the Design District during lunch.
I have been passing this location and decided tonight's the night for a decent bite. And did not try to rhyme. So walking in I noticed the limited space so it was made to go. I noticed that the inside smelled and was visually very clean. The service was friendly and informative on the menu. And the atmosphere was consistent with the part of town. I ordered a single & double cheese burger combo and some wings for later. The food came out fresh and we dug in, the burger was okay but it seemed like it was from a frozen patty, decent bum and fresh toppings. The fries are steak cut and the wings are okay as well.
Best burger I had in a long while ! Onion rings were good too !
One of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. Fresh and good price.
Tried this place tonight on our way to a concert, and had one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. Absolutely delicious 😋
Best burger I've had in a long time. Honestyle burgers, and they are huge. Will definitely be back.
Fast service, simple and clean, friendly. Enjoyed my meal. It’s a small space and the majority of the customers were take out and drive thru.
I normally pass this place all the time , until Friday I decided to go in !!! Was I in for a treat !! One of the best burgers I've ever eaten. It was so fresh and seasoned very well. The onion rings were very good and cooked to perfection. The cashier was very friendly and also have some insight on their other menu items. I will definitely go back to their other menu items !!
If you want a really good old fashioned hamburger, head on over to Susan’s Burgers and More. This is as close as you’re going to get to cooking one at home. It really is that authentic. Perfectly seasoned with salt and pepper; it comes with fresh ingredients of your choosing, and the size is not something you’ll ever see at a fast food joint. This ia a real hamburger, y’all. I’m talking toasted buns and everything.
Food is delicious literally amazed!!! Had a Torta cubana and took some burgers to go for the family!!They lived the burger! The prices are reasonable for the portions and more importantly fresh food honestly very impressed by this burger spot will be coming more often as a occasional spot on the list ✅ i pay the same amount for frozen food in this economy why not for fresh food, also very impressed as for the restroom they have outside its very clean but limited since they have it locked due to the homeless folks crashing in it so thats very understandable. other than that awesome spot for sure bringing the fam bam
If a burrito can stand on its own after being half way demolished. Thats how you know you have a 10/10 burrito. I love this place, it’s family owned and a west Dallas institution. Best breakfast burrito in town. The burger is also great, takes you back to a simpler time. Over all recommend this to anyone who loves a simple American/ Mexican fusion restaurant.
Food was amazing. Cheeseburger, bbq wings, fries, tots, and onion rings. Large servings. Burgers are incredible. Wings are ok, prefer crisper BUT it's a burger joint and I still ate them all lol Expect about $15-20 for 1 burger combo. No tables, it's all bar style but that helps with the atmosphere imo. Highly recommend if you want a Real Burger not some fast good bs.
This place is awesome! I mean from the burgers, tacos & Philly cheesesteak to the pulled grilled turkey legs, the meat is tender, dessert is awesome but the cherry on top is the ranch and I'm not even a ranch eater but I ate the whole thing!!!!!!! Great experience good customer service. You should definitely come out to experience this amazing place. Had to come back the next day for more.

I needed more than 30 minute lunch THE BEST DAM BURGER I HAVE EVER HAD AND HUGE 😘😋

We brought 8 students for an affordable and quality lunch and this place exceeded expectations. Service was excellent and food was very good. Highly recommend.
My daughter and I stopped by here today. Customer service was excellent, thank you for explaining the menu and being patient. Burgers were bussin! Ranch was really good too! We will be back!
I was a bit sticker shocked when I went through the drive through as its a little out of my comfort zone price wise. The nice dude offered to cancel but he already put in the order but assured me it was worth it. Let's just say I agree with him. That was a fantastic burger and tots. I won't be able to go there often but will definitely be going back. It really was a great burger.
My husband and I love to try new food places and go on mini adventures to find one of a kind spots. We were driving by and noticed Susan's burgers. We were hungry and decided that was the spot for the day! We went in Sunday in the late morning around 11:40am and ordered a torta and burger to go. We wanted to dine in but the dine in space is limited. There's better space outside but at 40 something degrees. It was not ideal for us. The wait time for the food was longer than usual for us but we waited patiently and went on our way. The service was top tier. Super friendly employee. She gave us lots of salsa and homemade ranch which she noted was her favorite! It is now ours! It was so good. The food was worth the wait. It was delicious. Everything tasted so fresh and was well seasoned. We ordered the cheese fries which were good but think they can do better cheese. It looked like fries with cheese slices slapped on top but it wasn't bad. Just not what we expected. We will definitely try again sometime for breakfast items! The menu was reasonably priced. Average prices comparable to whataburger except better food quality :) definitely worth trying!

Never been here, but my brother and I like to check out somewhere different! We went inside, and it's a small place, mainly men go here, but we sat and ordered a different type of hamburger with avocado! It was delicious, the meet was great, it was enjoyable and big also! But I finished it all, yum! Yum! They have other types of food on the menu, worth checking it out!
Excellent Burger!!!!! Fries a little larger than normal. Not Avery big place as it's on Irving boulevard. Seating capacity probably under 20 but excellent food smell and taste!!
Tacos were real good but expensive maybe spend $18 minimum for anything combo.
Great small business spot with quality tasting burgers. The service is fairly quick and you do get quite a bit of food for your dollar; however, at times, there can be small business issues such as not having a working register and only being able to accept cash. All in all, I will return, the burgers and location for me are A-1.
Double Burger Wow, huge. But I think because the patty is so thick, the seasoning doesn't come through. Needed seasoning. Bun was beautifully toasted. Tomatoes/onions way too thick slice. Definitely great bang for your buck. I'll be back for breakfast.
This place is great! Very clean inside. I saw others compare it to food at a gas station.... Absolutely not. Yes it's small and local but it has two bar seating options and a large outdoor space and is not at all like a grease trap or bad gas station food... Great flavor and I could tell they made my burger to order. If you're into ranch, theirs was homemade. So dang good! Got the tots which were as expected with a large serving. Friendly staff, fast service, and tasted great! Will be back. The menu appears updated from the ones posted here I'll try to grab a pic next time. Tortas, tacos, burger, cheesesteaks, etc.
Burgers are some of the best I've ever had, but stay away from the hot dogs. Very limited seating
Randomly picked this place to eat a burger. I got really lucky because the burger delicious. Freshly made to order. Made with plenty of veggies. Had a hard time biting into one. The fries were freshly cooked. Buns where warmed up on the grill. I just couldn't eat the whole thing! Great little burger place. Dont let the outside fool ya! They also serve tortas, and other different sandwiches. Also serve breakfast.
So the Cuban Torta was delicious. It was HUGE but good. Unfortunately the fries were cold and there is NO BATHROOM, even though they say there is for customers. Also there is very limited seating inside so if you walk there be prepared to stand for a while. Overall, it was good but they definitely need to fix the bathroom situation and ensure hot fries.
Great burgers. These burgers are so big you’ll make two meals out of one. Great variety of toppings. I’m usually picky with my sides and I’m very surprised the tater tots, wedge fries and onion rings are all great. Top favorite burgers were the Mexican burger (which is basically the same as the Cuban except with avocado and ham) as well as the Susan. If you’re on a budget, I’d suggest the Susan by itself as it has one onion ring and it’s plenty on its own. All combos come with a canned soda or bottled water. They also sold Mexican food (tacos, tortas) as well as subway style sandwiches but didn’t try those out. All in all this place has a little of everything in the menu including chicken wings and ice cream but also didn’t try that either. Will update my review if we try new items. The flip side to my review: a bit hot of an establishment (AC), the restroom process is janky, and the indoor seating is a bit limited and mostly high top bar style. The prices are a little bit higher than expected but the servings are plentiful.
I loved my first time here, yes it’s a small spot to eat in as a family but it’s definitely worth sitting in the outside area or barstool area indoors. The burgers were great with great taste. Many options for food selection. Fast friendly service . Follow my TT for more food reviews Marcie_29
First time here and the food appeared homemade. Burgers were large and the buns were soft. Service was pretty fast. Food was expensive for one burger meal and a cubana burger it came out to $30. The coke was canned. Overall the food was good but nothing to brag about.
Susan sure knows what she is doing. Hamburgers are great. I requested mine without the bun and it was delicious. I loved the thick cut fries. I spotted their location on Irving Blvd across from the Sylvan Bridge and stopped for a bacon cheeseburger. I was so impressed that I stopped in for lunch the next week. I had the cheeseburger combo on special that day. I'm looking forward to going back for the Cubano Torta or Tacos.
Fresh made to order delicious burger and fries is what I had for lunch: messy, meaty, cooked to order (so there is a wait). Don’t make the mistake I did: the double cheeseburger is a lot of meat. A lot. Seating is limited to a couple of awkward bar tops. There outside seating, but in this heat? Wear disposable clothing, you’ll smell like the kitchen when you leave.

The burger was delicious with lots of flavor and so was their homemade ranch but the fries were bland even with the seasoning that came on them. The service was great, the lady was very nice and helped me pick what to order for my first visit. My only problem would be the prices, it was almost $25 for the single patty burger, a small fries and a miniature can of soda! They were also out of stock on a handful of the drinks displayed on the menu.

First time coming here and well i thought the cheeseburger was decently good not bad BUT I asked for onion rings and bf got fries. They were extremely stingy with my onion rings and waited for half an hour for my food. $25 for 2 meals, canned coke included. And i was handed my food in a fiesta bag which was confusing. Probably will not come back unless I'm desperate for a burger.
Normally I take pictures but I forgot this time. Cool little burger joint that I noticed was getting some traffic. Got the bacon cheeseburger and fries. Super hot and super fresh, but like that 'hole in the wall flavor.' The young lady to wait on me was super friendly. Other items on the menu look interesting. I may be back to give it a second try
Guy at the register was nice, burgers are a pretty good size, not much flavor though but other than that - good. Tacos are super tiny, and also don't have much flavor. One of the ladies there was speaking on the phone about my order in spanish and talking on the phone with someone and looked over at me, so not sure if they wanted to close early but that made me feel weird. Wasn't too friendly which is why I'm giving them 3 stars. Most likely not going there again.
I feel like the menu is dishonest its pictured like a combo. I ordered 2 burgers with fries and drinks and paid almost $40, after saying something. The girl pointed out to the bottom of the menu where it said each item sold separate. How is one burger priced so high? They were also laking seasoning, the fries and onion rings were good. Also waited almost 30 min for my food. It is too over priced in my opinion, Porkeys burgers in mesquite tx are my go too and great in taste and price. Will never be back here again.
The service was exceptional however the food was tough. I had the Susan Burger and the Turkey Leg. The burgers was tasty however it set my hemorrhoids off. I don't know what kind of beef they use it just wasn't one that agreed with my stomach. Turkey Leg was flavorful just too tough. Take your time with Turkey and it will be perfect.
Not at all what I was expecting when I walked in. It's super small and looks like it should be on the other side of the bridge on Sylvan. Service wasn't friendly or nice at all. The burger was better than a fast food place, but nothing to write home about. They actually have some Mexican food on the menu that I'd try.
First off, pricing is way too high for a place like this. Expensive. The food is good but not $17 good. It's basic burgers. I personally got the tots, which were unseasoned and bland, The staff all looked like they rolled out of bed. Tacky. If the owners could somehow lower all prices 2 or 3 dollars then I could see this place getting more customers.
Food was good, but really hard to order anything in the morning. I ordered online and order was confirmed but when I got to the restaurant no one came to the window for like 15 minutes. I tried calling but no one answers the phone that early. Finally someone pulls up and I tell them I placed an online order only for them to say the order didn’t come through. So I had to wait another 12 minutes for food. Came back another morning to order at the window and no one ever came to take my order. I’m not sure if they can tell if a car pulls in but the doors are locked and you can’t come in to order so they need to figure that out. They are missing out on a lot of business from the near by hospital crew looking to stop and get breakfast in the morning.
The service was outstanding & This was my first time here. The sign says they have burritos for $4.99 & they don’t. I wasn’t satisfied with my food at all. I literally threw up when I walked as I walked out the door. If you’re new to Dallas I would pass this place up.
Burger was okay. Many other reviews said the patty was too thick, and i believe they have changed this since because I would have needed a double instead of the single that I bought. Very plain burger, no special seasoning, so it depends on what you prefer. Tacos are VERY small; not worth the price. In my single experience and after reviewing other comments, their card machine goes down often, so bring cash.

Not worth the price you pay. Pass this place alot and thought I'd give it a chance. Ordered the double with tater tots. Meal comes with condiments on the side and a can soda.Paid over $16 bucks. Burger is ok, barely saw the cheese on it.Seasoned ok, smaller than I thought it was gonna be. I've had better.
Online orders will hurt this business. If you set a combo price and I as the customer has to select required options I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR WHAT SHOULD ALREADY BE INCLUDED IN THE COMBO PRICE! If a person wants to super size those selections then you can upcharge. It’s a negative for me. And I love this place because it’s close to my job but no sir and no Ma’am I will I send almost 30 bucks for a burger combo and then be charge double for what SUPPOSED to come with the burger
I can't believe this place is rated so high. It's not even better than burger king. And they don't have enough staff. Hardly a good place to sit. The lady at the counter was nice, but that's all that was good about the place. The susan burger was hugeGo to whataburger for a better meal.
The prices on the menu were “wrong” they said. So the charged the price listed on the menu for a “combo” for the entree. So instead of 12,99 for the combo with fries and a drink we were charged 12.99 for the hamburger. Then paid extra for fries and a drink. Total for one hamburger and one combo and two extra waters came to $37.99. When using a debit card to pay , they took it to the drive thru area to run the card because the “machine didn’t work” then came back and asked for the security code to my debit card! I did not give it to them of course. And gave them a credit card instead. The baby, probably 11 mos old, they were taking care of, was pretty upset. But quieted down after it was taken back into the kitchen. The people working there were friendly tho. But I could not reccomend this place. They asked us how we wanted our burgers, we said medium rare. But they both came out medium well. And it is what I expected since that is what the sign said. But why ask ?
My husband works in the neighborhood so we drive by often and have been wanting to support since the artwork outside is really cool. Went through the drive thru and the service was decently quick but a regular bacon cheeseburger, a pitiful amount of fries, and a CANNED Dr. Pepper was OVER $18!!! Burger was okay, nothing special, but definitely doesn’t deserve to be at that price point.
If you want to get skip in line and have to wait for 5 minutes before you can even place your order. This is your place. Never will I ever recommend or ever go there again. Terrible service!!! Highly recommend the BBQ joint across the street. Over there, they will definitely treat you like your a customer and have excellent service.
Placed an order online for pick up, got to the restaurant and they let me know that they no longer use the online service that I placed the order through…even though their website is still connected to that service. Told me that I would have had to place a new order and wait and be charged again. Had to go through my credit card to receive my money back. Never got a chance to try the food but given the horrible service I wouldn’t recommend the food. So much for trying to support local businesses. Hope they make it, but if so it won’t be because of my money.
My review is based strictly on wasting my time. I visited this location during their posted business hours, waited in the drive thru for a few minutes and there was no answer. The person in the vehicle that was in front of me parked and walked to the door. The doors were locked. I called their number and was sent a text with a link to online ordering. Since I didn’t believe the business was open I opted out from ordering online. Please post your correct operating hours to not waste peoples time.
Ordered online, Saturday at 11am. Susans was supposed to be open but when we got there the parking lot was empty and the doors were locked. Unfortunately I was able to purchase an online order and got charged for something that I couldn't pickup and try because they were not open
Went there with 2 people, combos are extremely overpriced. Also if you come here it’s ten times better to NOT dine in. Super cramped. I love family own restaurants for the authenticity but it gets to a point.
I had been going to this spot for a couple of years , and there has NEVER been an issue until now . This is the second time I get charged this amount for 1 burger by this lady that’s never there, and when she is there she charges EVEN THE AIR YOU BREATH! I had a conversation with her about this and she had an attitude with me like it was my fault. I brought it up to her attention that out of all three of the people who charge/take your order why is she the only one who charges more expensive? When you ask for a menu they never have one so you can never say for sure how much your order is going to be. Why is it that the gentleman and women who always charge me and others is always the same , how come when it’s her it’s always different? Also she told me it was a 15 minute wait and made me wait 45 minutes!
