Opinions de The Grapevine Bar Dallas
We had some great pomegranate frozen drinks here last weekend. The atmosphere was fun and friendly, and the music was a great mix of everything from 80s to today stuff. Appreciated the comfortable seating in the main lounge. I dig it!
I LOVE THIS BAR. As a recent transplant to Dallas I was concerned about finding a good neighborhood bar to unwind at like I had in my last city. This place met my needs and more. It has a great variety of (cheap) drinks, great spaces to hang out, and a diverse crowd. We love the all day happy hours and being able to take friends here when they visit on weekends. I would recommend this to everyone.
A Dallas must. Fantastic mix of peoples in laid back surroundings. Vintage, throw back furniture and music from every decade add to the coolness of this bar. Huge patio perfect for daytime cocktails or late night party groups. Don't miss it!
This bar has the one of my favorite places for over 10 years. such a incredible group of people conglomerate here from all walks of life from all styles of living it makes me proud. There's never a dull moment and for the most part everybody is friendly and welcoming and a lot of fun. and you got to love the Felix on the side of the building.
Great dive bar with a diverse crowd, zero pretense and delicious (but dangerous) frozen cocktails. There's a full bar and the draft beer list is small, but perfect, with some of the best local craft beers period. Huge back patio and cozy rooftop deck for good weather days and a fantastic jukebox for indoor ones.
Love the dive bar atmosphere. Cheap drinks. Awesome activities throughout the week. Check it out!
My husband and I went here last weekend to grab a quick drink before exploring the area. The two gentlemen who worked there were great, giving us advice on where to enjoy our evening as we are new to the area and were very helpful when we asked for suggestions. The drinks were also cheaper than expected which is a big plus.
First time going, I love the place.
This is fast becoming my place to meet friends. Eclectic vibe of people. Not a typical Dallas spot-of which I’m thankful. Really enjoy the patio when the temps cool down.
The staff are so funny & attentive. They def make the experience there worth coming back. It’s just like the old version just bigger & better! I think every time I leave there I leave with having made a new friend
Great spot to just kick it and listen to live music, all while having a drink
Nice cool spot to hangout and have a drink
Had a blast with a very special lady there. Nice ambiance, ratchet old pool tables old speakers old chairs and not so old crowd. Basketball outside and affordable drinks even for a non-alcoholic like myself.
Very comfy, eclectic mix of a bar. The bartenders are great, and the clientele can be a fun mixed bag. Happy hour all day Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. I always enjoy going there.
Solid Trivia Tuesdays - Close proximity to the UTSW campus, awesome bartenders and cool atmosphere! Happy Hour is a solid deal, and were one of the first bars to have Yuengling when I moved here! Props 🍻
Excellent staff, service & drinks! Seriously, a great place. Good music, a nice vibe, and the people behind the bar know what you want to drink when you say "surprise me." I'd give ten stars if I could. The bathrooms & security are lowkey, but absolutely top notch. I cannot say enough good things about this place, and the staff that make it an amazing place to hang out.
Drinks were great food was amazing will definitely be returning
The staff is always friendly & helpful. The vibes are always impeccable.
I went to this place to meet someone and enjoyed the environment very much. We got to talk for a while, and even though there was a lot going on, we were comfortable talking. Totally recommend this place for a hangout.
The establishment offers a pleasant atmosphere and serves well-crafted beverages.
Great place for very reasonably priced drinks and friendly bartenders. Crowds of all kinds show up the last two times I’ve been and I like it. Something I’ve missed since I moved to Texas. Wish I could bring my pups with but that’s ok!
Fantastic new location of the Grapevine bar with the same atmosphere and great drinks and cocktails. Huge patio with the iconic basketball court but in a much safer version. Plenty of parking (street parking and they also have a lot). There are pool tables, couches and plenty of seating. Everyone is welcome, LGBTQ+ friendly and Medical staff friendly!
This place was real cool and laid back.. I loved the atmosphere & the vibe in there. I didn't get any food so no feedback on the food. Service was very quick and you didn't have to stand there and wait in no long line to get a drink. Awesome Place 😎
I will definitely go back here again! Very cool bar - small inside with huge, funky outdoor space. When I went on a Thursday night, drinks were poured nice and strong. Another perk is that they have table service, which I wouldn't expect from a place with such a dive-y vibe. Highly recommend!
This is a cool spot with cheap drinks. Pretty small indoors but the outdoor area is awesome. A lot of covered porch with heating, roof top seating, and a hoop that usually has basketballs. There's a pool table although I don't think its full size, electronic juke box, and frozen peach Bellinis that I get on the regular. Staff is great and friendly, one of my favorite local spots! The bathroom situation is odd, some indoors and outdoors but nice to have more then one. This spot is a gem, sad to hear they're moving but excited to see what the new spot will look like!
Best LGBTQ dive bar in Dallas! It's such a great vibe, ambiance, and the drinks are delicious!!
One of my favorite places to pop in and grab a drink the servers are great, the door guy are very friendly
The new location is amazing! Love the ambiance and the drinks are sharp. The ONLY thing is make sure you get control of the music, definitely makes or breaks the vibe
Love this bar and the"Ritas" are awesome! I just wish they had food, but you can order food in and eat. Great seating options and music. Never have had bad service here either.
I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. I've only been once or twice *snicker* but they seem to have the whole bar thing down. Ok, truth be told, I come here just about everyday. The bartenders are the best in the business, the drinks are cheap and strong, and the crowd is amazing. A lot of bars that you walk into, just have bad energy. You feel this weight on you and don't know why. This place is the complete opposite. When I'm having a bad day (lately it seems to be too many of those), all I have to do is come in here, and I immediately feel better. There is just such a great vibe to this place. In conclusion, strong drink, low price, and great energy.
The Bartenders are great and they make their drinks strong. They also have two patios one on the roof top and one on the ground level that is partially covered. They also have a basketball hoop as well.. they also have a pool table but it’s kind of in a cramped area with seating around it so it’s kind of hard to play pool.. this place is good place to just relax and have a cold beer!
Really should be rated as a Top 5 bar in Dallas. It's just divey enough to make everyone comfortable. Great bartenders that pour a well made drink. Good selection of beers. Patio is a blast and everyone seems to be having fun when they are there. The little pool table in a cramped room makes it perfect to socialize and enjoy easy going pool matches. I enjoy all the comments from the peanut gallery when playing and meeting new friends. Basically everything a good bar should be. I hope it never changes.
Great place! Chill relaxed vibe. Trivia is a blast on Tuesdays. Take the time to check it out.
The bartenders were AMAZING. I went with a coworker and we had a GREAT time!! Also the Karaoke DJ is awesome on Wednesdays.
I always have a great time. I love going on a beautiful night because they often have bands playing outside. If you're not into that, you can always sit inside, play pool, or eat.
One of my favorite bars in Dallas! And if you have never tried a tangarita, it's a must!
Not sure about the food. Did have any food there. Serve and drinks were good.
This bar is a small and nice vibe with games to play and inexpensive drinks
This bar is so much fun! The music is always on point. The drinks are affordable and good. I always meet cool people, and yup, I dance even though I don't usually dance. It's just the vibe in the place that's so amazing.
The Grapevine Bar has been around for decades. One of my favorite hole in the wall bars in Dallas. If you want to shoot hoops in a lopsided basketball hoop or just sit back and watch the game this is a great spot. You must try the cumberf*ck drink, be careful though it's tasty but deceivingly strong. Take care of your bar tenders. They work hard for you, they'll treat you right but if you're a douche they aren't afraid to call you out.
Great place to spend time with friends and have a few drinks. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is chill and relaxing. They have a small patio in the back if you want to step outside. When the weather is warm and demand is high enough you can get drinks back there. My only gripe is that they only really offer simple drinks. Anything “complicated”, like something with more than two ingredients, they don’t really do. They have good beer options, and a couple frozen drink options are tasty too.
Such a cool ass bar, what bar has a freaking basketball hoop. Very chill very demure very cool place for drinks anytime of the day. Dylan the trivia host is also the coolest, super entertaining host. Trivia is an EXPERIENCE with him (all ride aside)
Good dive bar. Bonus points for the basketball court.
The Grapevine Bar is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Dallas, offering a unique and inviting atmosphere that instantly feels like home. With its eclectic decor, friendly staff, and diverse clientele, it's the perfect spot to unwind after a long day or catch up with friends over drinks. The outdoor patio is a highlight, featuring a basketball court and ample seating, making it a great place to soak up the Texas sunshine. Their drink menu boasts an impressive selection of craft beers, cocktails, and wines, ensuring there's something for everyone. Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or simply looking for a refreshing beverage, the knowledgeable bartenders are always happy to make recommendations. The Grapevine also hosts regular live music events, showcasing local talent and adding to the lively ambiance. If you're seeking a local hangout with a welcoming vibe and a touch of quirkiness, The Grapevine Bar is a must-visit. It's a place where strangers become friends, laughter fills the air, and memories are made. Don't miss out on this Dallas treasure – stop by and experience the magic for yourself! ⭐✨
Great atmosphere, and Bingo on Monday night.
Great place to stop and grab a bite and a drink. They had a weird bingo thing going on that night and it was hilarious. Would Definitely go back
Lolo the bartender is fantastic. Great energy in the bar, so fun. Huge patio and basketball court. 10/10.
Nice new location is huge. Staff is nice and professional. I like the different areas: main bar patio, pool room. Cool vibe as always just in a new spot. Note to management: Please edit Google Maps address. Its still showing old Maple location.
Spacious, fun atmosphere with comfortable relaxed seating and pool tables. Good drinks, good music!
Came to see a friend of mine play. Looove love love this place. And the whole atmosphere. Drinks were well priced music was great staff was friendly. I’ll be back for sure.
The drinks are good and about $10 a drink. It's a nice spot to hang out and talk, listening to music in the background. The have seats and tables, a few sofas, games to play, pool table's. Very relaxed place to go.
Always such a fun bar. Great music (live or otherwise), friendly staff and excellent prices/selection. They have a variety of bar ware if you order mixed drinks and super fun decor/furniture.
First time visiting and seriously enjoyed the vibe I don't remember the name of the bartender but she was working on a Sunday night But she was very courteous. Overall perfect dive bar spot. We are from LA and have to say we got welcomed well
The vibes here are amazing!! My boyfriend had a show with his RHCP tribute band, the Red Hot Ghost Peppers. The sound and service were both incredible, and the location was perfectly placed for some of the band members. The bartender and server were both so on top of everything, and they have the coolest patio area I've ever seen. Even for an August night, we were surprisingly cool with all the fans they had on. We'll definitely come back just to hang out and enjoy the excellent service!🩷
My 2nd trip. I've experienced the inside and outside stages. It's OK to dance! So, come as you are. It's an inclusive spot, and you'll find no fighting here. Parkland is visible. It's not residential, so live music can go to midnight and beyond. Easy access to I-35 or I-30 via Hampton south to head back to Tarrant County.
On Monday nights we play bingo @7!!! Found this spot after looking for the best bar on a Monday in Dallas near downtown and this hangout didn’t disappoint. The host James and bartender Robert made our experience one of a kind. Drinks are cheap and everyone there is social. This place is a jewel.
Having moved back to Dallas from living in Austin for many years, I had always missed going to a quirky, cozy divey-feeling bar. The moment we walked in the decor really catches your eye and there is a small stage on the right. The bar has cute light fixtures over it and there are coin pool tables with pink and purple felt. The seating varies from sofas to chairs to bar stools inside. Outside they have a patio that extends beyond what you might expect. In other words it is massive! There is also another stage out there and the ambience is very cool. It almost feels like a brewery with tons of picnic table seating and open air for the smokers who want to smoke and socialize. The service was great, the drink selection was good, and the inside/outside hang out space was really just the best. The only downside that I can think of for this place is maybe that they don't have that much parking space? I mean that's me trying hard to come up with some flaw about this place! Come check them out, period. You won't regret it!
I really don't want to speak TOO highly of this place, because then everyone will start coming! Hey... this place is super dope! The vibe is so chill! I enjoyed the atmosphere the most. I could definitely see this being "the spot" or my normal bar. I figured you could see pictures of everything else so I put a couple of shots of the men's bathroom lol. If it's this cool in here just imagine...
Cool little dive bar spot in a convenient location in Dallas. My wife and I stopped for drinks after her flight. About a 10 minute drive from Love Field. When we first walked in, seemed a little cramped and was pretty loud but we settled into it pretty quickly. It was comfortable, good music playing on the jukebox, friendly patrons and bartenders who know their stuff. Would definetly like to go back and experience the outside patio. Will return!!
Look I love a dive bar. I love the prices, I love that it’s no expectations. But this bar is more of a dive than I expected and felt just dirty. The drink prices were admittedly very good, but you have to temper your expectations before going in. Maybe I’m overly sensitive since COVID has led to many places into a cleaning frenzy but it didn’t meet the expectation from the reviews I read here
I have been here many times in the past 16 or so years. It is an old shabby dive with a good mix of tunes playing. Good selection of beers on tap. The 2 story patio is what makes the place.
Awesome "dive", but with a great atmosphere at the same time. They have good drinks, an outdoor patio with a rooftop patio as well. Outside they have a basketball court and interesting lighting fixtures. Inside is a vintage decor with years of use that makes it that much more charming.
This is my first time at the new location. We went Halloween weekend and had a good time. People watching and hearing live band! Will definitely be back. It is a different atmosphere. I feel then the other location that was smaller.
I really like the Grapevine at its new location. It's were Redfields was. This is a good size venue with a nice main bar, pool tables, large patio areas and lots of seating. I go here often. The also have my fav IPA on tap. Community Brewing Co's Grade Haze IPA. IF you were wondering. Lol
Love visiting this hole in the wall. Funky atmosphere and good drinks. 2 things to note- they are NOT dog friendly, inside or outside on the patio. And they do not serve food but you can bring your own and have with drinks.
I came to this bar after work with some co-workers. It has space for parking, there is a patio and a small basketball court. The service was slow, maybe it was because we were outside at the patio. The area was safe. Wish there could have been some food, but they are working on it. They did mention you could bring outside food, which that’s awesome.
Really enjoyed my time at The Grapevine Bar. I went there to meet one of my brother’s friends, we just had a couple of beers and talked for a while, and it was exactly the kind of place you want for that. What stood out most is their patio setup. They have two different outdoor sections, one fully outside and one semi-covered. Since it was cold, we sat in the middle section with the heaters on, and it was perfect: warm, comfortable, and still open enough that we could smoke while feeling like we were inside. That balance was honestly fantastic. The atmosphere is relaxed and not too loud, which makes it great for real conversations instead of shouting over music. It felt cozy, laid-back, and very easy to just sit and talk for hours. If you’re looking for a bar to grab some beers, smoke, and actually have a good conversation without rushing or noise, this is a great spot.
I didn't have food here. Didn't even know they sold food. The bartender was awesome. I unfortunately went when it was slower so it was kind of empty. I loved that they had 2 pool tables, a basketball court, a seating area outside. The decor was great. Did give me gay bar vibes lol lots of couches to sit cozily next to someone. A music machine (I don't know the real name lol) and what looked like a stage. The bathrooms were cool, spacious and clean. And the price for drinks were not expensive at all. The parking lot was semi small and right off butler. Overall a cute bar.
Nice place to hang out with friends but their cocktails suck.. especially their margaritas. My bartender was really nice though. I asked if they had lime juice bc I wanted a skinny marg they said no. What bar doesn’t have lime juice? Smh
I've only been to the Grapevine Bar for about 20 minutes so here is my review. All in all the atmosphere was decent and drinks were decent. My wife was having a stressful night and went to the restroom to collect herself. Her friend went in to console her and the bouncer immediately kicked all of us out because they have 1 person in the restroom at a time policy. They were happy to charge us for the drinks we couldn't envoy. Needless to say my already upset wife was further devastated being kicked out of a bar for the first time in her life, and we won't be returning based on their lack of sensitivity. We came to the bar to forget our worries and luckily we have many other options for better drinks and friendlier staff. You also have options, why not exercise them? I would recommend choosing somewhere that has a bigger bathroom because you risk getting kicked out when consoling a sad friend just because this bar has small restrooms. It may be a policy at lots of places, the way they handled the situation was amateur and inappropriate.
Talk about a dive (in a good way). I stopped in just at the end of happy hour. It feels like you are stepping into some kind of grotto. There are multiple rooms, one with a pool table, different kinds of furniture, and a huge backyard outdoor area complete with basketball court. It wasn't too lively when I stopped in, so it was easy to get around, but I can imagine it getting packed later at night, especially on the weekends. Not sure what to get to drink, I wanted to try something specific to Grapevine. The bartender was a little curt, but I was also being indecisive. I went with the frozen margarita slushy, It was hot that day and I was in the mood for something refreshing. It was sold, a little tart, and a little sweet, (a little too much so for my taste, but that is personal preference.) Since I was by myself I didn't stay for too long, but it is a unique spot to stop in.
Outsider looking in. Pros: If you're looking for that dive bar atmosphere, this is YOUR place. LGBTQ super friendly- this is what saved their rating from being zero stars. They offer a variety of good drinks and places within their establishment to park your butt to enjoy them - inside on a cozy couch, in the pool room, on the roof top, in the backyard while shooting hoops or just in the outdoors with a group of buddies. It's a very versatile place. Cons: I come from the service industry, as a bartender. It pains me to write this about my own kind - a bartender. I bought 3 rounds of drinks $5 drink credit card tipped $2 cash $5 drink credit card tipped $2 cash $9 drinks credit card tipped $5 cash I prefer to tip in cash because I know what it's like to have IRS in my business (wink) in a service industry that is worked hard and given very little credit. Let me do the math for you, I tipped at 47%. And this is the back lash I got. The bartender told a regular that I had tipped zero, and that regular customer confronted me! I politely told that customer that my credit card slip shows zero but the cash I left tells a different story and I didn't see what business it was of theirs to be questioning me on how to spend my money. After the regular left the area, the bartender came over to apologize for the situation. While I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, his apology was weightless and unmoving. He waited for his regular to leave before he did anything about it because he lied straight to his regular. That bartender was most likely looking to get us kicked out (like others have mentioned in recent reviews). I didn't tip based on personality or positive interaction - which is what a tip is based on. If I had, he would have gotten $zero. I tried to understand their frozen drinks and I just got their names. That didn't help much so I just ordered. I'm from out of town so thankfully this place is in my rearview mirror. This is my 3rd visit and each time has been to celebrate a local birthday. I don't know if there will be future visits but I can guarantee I won't be spending my money at this establishment. In today's time, with inflation not matching income, this bartender should treat his visitors just like his regulars and learn to be more truthful. To the owner, it's a good thing you're standing with a watchful eye because greedy bartenders like this are probably taking from you too!
The bar has a good atmosphere and has a lot of indoor and outdoor space. Pretty cool. My only issue is the bartenders are drunk sometimes and that's none of my business but last time I went my drink was held hostage and I was asked if I was going to tip and that got out of hand.
The only reason this place even got any stars is because the staff was friendly and the patio would probably be cool in the right weather. The place was 100% a dive bar... The interior was small, cramped and water was literally pouring through the side door. They had to use a broom to push it back outside. It reminded me of many of the bars I went to in college... So if you're into that, then this is your spot!
Just a divey bar. The kind of place you go to vibe or make regrets. The atmosphere is great, totally dig the lighting and overall style, and seating options. The reason I walked this down to two stars is that the mixed drinks are awful, and the bartenders were mid, not super welcoming. Do not get mixed drinks here, just stick to beer or shots if you go. Would be a fun stop if you've already been hopping.
There was a bartender that was extremely petty. I had asked for two different drinks and they had a very limited selection. They didn’t provide any recommendations at all. I had ordered a lemon drop and it tasted like pure lemon juice…. Makes me never want to order a lemon drop again. After ordering another shot the bartender said “thanks for the tip” knowing I didn’t provide one. I turned my drink in and they didn’t offer to remake it or do anything about it, so that’s my tip to them. The music was wack. I don’t even think they have a menu, and if they do I wouldn’t know. I’m wondering why the older establishment was replaced at this point.
I loved the place overall but after a while i went to get more drinks, one of the bartenders quoted “don’t leave zeros next time” i’m not sure if he mixed up my tab but i had left tip…i don’t think a bartender should come at customers like and second no one is obligated to tip but i was nice enough to do so but he wanted to be rude and say comments like that, will not be back here.
There’s a racist at the bar who is refusing to serve black people! It was observed by all of the people I’m with and he was extremely rude. The man was an older white man and he refused to make a drink for me. We will be leaving immediately! I will never step foot in this raggedy establishment again! Update: The response received below not only is combative and inaccurate but further confirms the rude demeanor that I spoke on. I didn’t expect any accountability because again, the way I was spoken to and dismissed was ridiculous and everyone I was with witnessed the hateful behavior which is why we all chose to leave in support of me. If it was a matter of me waiting, it would’ve simply been communicated “I’ll be right with you!” That isn’t what occurred. But you do NOT have to worry about me or any of my friends/associates coming back to this establishment! I will be making sure I continue to spread the word about my awful experience.
The bartender was highly rude he made us quite uncomfortable with how he was talking to us when ordering drinks. We kept repeating ourselves on what we wanted our drinks to be as he kept asking over and over, which for me I was pretty clear each time. It was so simple for what I wanted to drink, just plain gin, water and lime (I didn’t even ask for a specific gin). I can’t remember what my friend ordered. It was just the two of us, two happy people with a simple order. We never knew why he was so confused nor what he would be so annoyed about. The music wasn’t loud and there wasn’t many people right by the bar at all to act so confused or annoyed and highly unpleasant. He asked that we were clearer next time we came up to the bar and ordered through him again. We are both (my friend and I) easy customers, super chill, communicated clearly and nicely and with simple expectations. Language wasn’t a problem neither on anybody’s end. He also did not indicate any hearing impediments, although I am partially deaf on one ear but heard him loud and clear on the other every time I didn’t feel the need to express I am partially deaf as I heard him. First and last time here. Not returning. Service was poor, almost felt as if there was a biased reason on why this member of their staff would treat people this way. Reading other reviews on here; this bartender’s description matches the bartender previously described by other people with similar experiences at this bar. Quite disappointing, I was actually looking forward to visiting the new location.
Seeing the reviews from ride bartenders here does not surprise me. My wife was here with a group of friends on Sunday March 2nd at the main bar at 5pm. They went straight to the bar upon arriving, and a few of her friends ordered drinks no problem. When she ordered her drink from the main bartender (an older white man wearing a green polo) he told her he is not serving her, and said to try another bar inside to see if they will serve her since he won’t. She is the only black person in the group by the way! This is unacceptable and embarrassing for the staff of this establishment to behave this way. The group was appalled by what happened and left asap. My wife came home in tears due to the blatant disrespect and racism she experienced and I’m hoping this employee can be addressed accordingly.
First time here, the bar itself and atmosphere was great. The bartender was scary though. He (white male blonde hair) screamed (forehead vein popping out and everything) at my friend and I for our unsatisfactory tip amount (we were mid pulling out extra cash). Then threw some of the money back at us and said that line “you obviously need this more than I do”. He then poorly attempted to get 2 other patrons at the bar to also shame us for the tip amount. When my friend attempted to calm him down and explain we were actively in the process of getting more cash for him he literally wouldn’t let them speak.. just yelled at the top of his lungs over and over again “don’t go out if you don’t know how to tip”. It only stopped because we finally just walked away. When we stepped onto the patio and were trying to process what the hell had just happened, there were several different groups of people who stated they also got yelled at or had passive aggressive remarks made to them by the same bartender as well. So I imagine he is very comfortable with displaying this kind of behavior. When I tell you it was the most uncomfortable experience for everyone involved, I am not exaggerating. I did bartend for a few years and if there’s one thing i retained from that time, it’s that it is not okay to be drunk while working behind the bar /:
Horrible bar. We sat outside, no music playing, nothing. Every now and then someone would play the jukebox. It was dead silence, made us feel like they were closing and weren’t welcomed. I tried bringing this up to the bartender but she was so drunk she couldn’t understand what I was saying. I was asking her to pass along to management it would be a good idea to play music or just something on Spotify where the bar doesn’t seem like a ghost town. I think she tried saying she’s not pay 75 cents to play music but her speech was so impaired.l, that’s not what we were asking though. Apparently this bar is cheap the only music playing has to be paid for at the jukebox. How horrible. I will definitely pass this along to others. I’d rather it be redfields imo. This is a sad excuse for a bar.
THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR EVERYONE ANYMORE! ITS COMPLETE TRASH! I WILL NOT PATRONIZE EVER AGAIN! I came in with food around 5pm and went to the patio cause I wanted a chill spot to clear my mind before I picked my mother up from Love Field. Our family matriarch is dying. I came inside and ordered a CANNED hard cider (since I was occupying their space). I had the mindset to be out of the way and not too much of a bother. The tall and lanky dried out pale smelly bartender who was just outside smoking a cigarette (& didn’t bother washing his hands before serving me) demanded I give him a tip after opening my canned drink. I asked him how he knew I wasn’t going to get another drink and tip then or had friends that was meeting for trivia and would also tip more later as well. He said he didn’t care and made such a big fuss about how I should tip to the point he wanted me to leave, took the drink, and gave me my $5 back. This made me feel very unwanted from the start and I am very uneasy about the exchange of words we had.
