Great beer, and very friendly staff, kudos to Alima ! Loved the fried chicken!
I have had take out from here several times and have always loved the food. Last night, my wife and I decided to dine in and this experience was severely disappointing. The place was not packed when we got there, so we promptly ordered our food and sat down. After noticing that tables that came in after us were being served, we began wondering where our order was. After waiting over one hour, the gentleman that took our order came by our table and says "I accidently gave your food to the wrong table. That was my bad." and walked away. Our food came about 15 minutes after that and, don't get me wrong, the food was great, but sitting for over an hour to get it and being offered nothing more than an "oopsie" for the inconvenience is really unforgivable. I do not think we will be dining in there anytime in the foreseeable future. **** EDIT **** After posting my review, the owner of the establishment promptly reached out to me. We spoke over the phone about what happened, and he was very apologetic and eager to find a way to make things right. Having both worked in the service industry, my wife and I understand how challenging it can be and that mistakes are bound to happen, but it’s how they’re handled that really matters. I’m happy to say this situation was resolved, and I’ll definitely remain a customer.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Village Burger on McKinney Avenue, and let me tell you, their burger is nothing short of phenomenal! I ordered the burger topped with blue cheese, crispy bacon, and fresh avocado, and it was an absolute delight. The flavors melded perfectly, creating a rich and satisfying experience with every bite. To complement my burger, I chose a side of sweet potato fries, which were the perfect balance of crispy and tender, offering a hint of sweetness that paired beautifully with the savory burger. The atmosphere at Village Burger is inviting and casual, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal with friends or family. If you're in the Uptown Dallas area, do yourself a favor and stop by Village Burger. You won’t regret it – it truly is one of the best burger experiences I've had!
Dang fine burger! Order at the counter or wait service at the bar. I built my own with medium rare beef, provolone, fresh baby spinach, sliced avocado and garlic aioli. Partnered with the shoestring truffle fries. But was really torn on ordering the Trio- shoestring fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings. Local craft beers on tap- the Revolver Blood and Honey always hits. So many combos and choices- there is something for everyone!
Village Burger Bar is one of those spots that just gets it right every single time. The food is always on point, fresh, flavorful, and cooked exactly how you want it. The quality of the burgers is what I like most, clean, simple, and they give you exactly what you ask for. No fluff, just really good food done right. Big shoutout to Jarrod and Efrain, their customer service is next level. They take care of people with real attention and respect, not just the usual “how’s everything?” kind of thing. You can tell they care about creating a great experience for everyone who walks in. I’m here pretty much every week, and it’s consistent every single time. Whether I’m coming in solo, grabbing food with friends, or just need a solid go to spot, Village Burger Bar always delivers. Easily one of my favorite places to eat.

Village Burger Bar is hands down one of our favorite burger spots in Dallas! We love customizing our own burgers — and no matter how we build them, they always come out fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. The ingredients are top quality — you’ll never find a soggy tomato or wilted lettuce here. Everything is super fresh, and the fries are just as amazing as the burgers. Another bonus? It’s very affordable — we usually spend around $20 for both meals, and it’s absolutely worth every dollar. If you’re craving a great burger, this is the place to go. Consistent, delicious, and always satisfying.
We had a burger, a turkey club panini, fries and a vanilla shake. Burger arrived cooked as ordered. Real sliced turkey on the sandwich - not lunch meat. All ingredients were fresh. Will definitely eat here again. And they have crunchy ice!
When you’re craving a good burger, head over to Village Burger Bar. The meat has that cooked on the grill flavor that tastes so delicious. The buns are also substantial enough to hold the burger but light enough that you don’t have that bloated by bread feeling. With these two key ingredients being 10/10, you are free to fly and create the burger that your heart (and stomach) desires most. Bring your doggo and sit on the patio which has solid tables, no wobbly and annoying tables here! The Katy Trail is about a quarter mile away so you can take a nice walk afterwards.
Best burger place we've found in the Oaklawn / Midtown area in Dallas. Turkey burger & sweet potato fries were delicious. Make your own hamburger & onion rings were awesome! Great job! Loved it!
Enjoyed dinner here. Burger made to perfection. Tried the warm village dip appetizer and it’s a no for me. But the burger and shoe string fries made it a great meal. Jackson and Hunter made it a great experience.

The value here is great! We got two solid burgers (Dougie and Better Cheddar) and delicious fries for what was a great price. There are better burgers out there but at the price and convenience, it is hard to beat. They have a nice casual ambiance inside as well as a patio looking at the West Village. We will definitely come back.

This place has some good burgers. My burger was cooked to perfection. The quality of the beef was great. The onion rings are HUGE and cooked perfectly. The only thing the burger and onion rings are lacking is some seasoning. If they both had a pinch of some sort of seasoning, they would be PERFECT. Another thing I loved about the burger and the onion rings is that they are not full of grease. They do have the best ice. If you order the burger with the fried egg on it, just note that the yolk is super runny unless you tell them to cook it differently.
I used to stop by here on my lunch breaks since it was close to work. It was easy to call in an order and the food was usually ready in about 10–15 minutes. Everything usually came out hot and service was friendly. Good food and a quick reliable to-go option when you’re short on time.
Plenty of options for burgers, fries and drinks (i.e. different proteins, multiple types of fries, etc.). Very good burger, though the bun was on the dry side. Shoe-string fries were plentiful and tasty. The house-made lemonade was delicious (sweet and tart) and they will accommodate for your taste. Casual dining-you order and pay, then they will bring the food to your tables. Indoor and outdoor seating options. The staff was especially friendly and helpful.
The place was great and the servers were really friendly. The only complaint I had was the burgers lacked consistency. I tried my burger and it was great. I tried my girlfriend's and it was noticably drier and less flavorful. The fries were good and they do have a lot of options. Overall it's a good place to hang out with your friends and have a good time.

Good food, not described. You can enjoy your food. Onion rings are some of the best I've had in years. But menu is simple on the wall, and doesn't describe options. I ordered the BLUE CHEESE BURGER specifically for the AVOCADO listed in the ingredients. All I got was a dab of avocado aioli, not slices wanted. And at no point did service describe options. So come & enjoy the food. But when ordering, make sure to dissect each ingredient to make sure you understand what will be served. Cause they ain't going to tell you everything about your food. And what's worse, the young staff/management/owners don't even realize how annoying this is to a customer. And how legally liable it is for customer with food allergies, not to understand what are being served. No impression, that they perceived it either.
The 2 Hispanic girls behind the counter are not good servers. They also don't answer the restaurant phone. I called several times before I arrived...They were too busy flirting with the guys at the bar 🙄 I liked village Burger better without those servers. I'll wait a while before trying it again.
Food was great the service was trash. The two ladies were not helpful. Never checked on us or took away anything we were done with. This place was great 10 years ago when I lived up here. Drove from Mansfield just for the truffle fries.
It’s a ‘no’ for me, here’s why: it was an overall basic experience. The service was just okay, it was a long wait for my food. The shoestring fries were nothing to rave about and I could have passed on those. The best thing about the burger was the bun, which was soft and fresh. My BIGGEST complaint is that they left the red onions off my burger, which would have enhanced the flavor and taste for me. This was my first and last visit.
I’ve never rated a restaurant this poorly. The lady at the counter was a little mean which made my experience a little :((( She was super annoyed that I added fries to my order 2 mins after I paid for the rest of my order. Honestly don’t even bother going if you’re picking up or ordering for take out I guess. Several people ordered after me and received their food before me. A table even received their second order of apps before I got my to go order. I got a chicken Caesar wrap and fries and apparently that takes longer to make than burgers. Cashier was extremely dismissive. Didn’t care for the food at that point it was 30 minutes in. My order was actually on the bar the entire time but they kept telling me “they’ll bring it to me”.
