Every Carl's Jr. Should be this good... This is not a review of the Carl's Jr chain or of the menu, but rather this specific location/restaurant. There are a few Carl's Jr's in this area but this location is the only one that consistently makes my food fresh and hot. As a former manager in another career field, I can tell that the management here clearly cares about quality because the restaurant usually appears very clean, including what I can see behind the counter. I also noticed that they have a very diverse crew working here, with employees from around the world, and it's clear that they are all working very hard and doing their utmost to deliver the best burger/shake or whatever you order. Also, I have always noticed that the employees are courteous to their customers and really take pride in their work and in doing things right. I even noticed, on occasion, that the manager brings customers their food if they dine in. I really should have written them a good review a long time ago so today I finally did it. It's the least I could do to say thank you for all the hard work. If you've read this far and you're curious about the actual food, I'll say that it's consistently fresh and even the "Mexican" food here is pretty good. As far as speed goes, yes, your order sometimes takes five minutes (instead of McDonald's typical 25 seconds) but you'll realize that it's because they are making everything fresh and to order. If you care more about waiting an extra two or three minutes than the actual quality of the food you eat, then you're missing the point of food... That said, if you've never tried a Carl's Jr. Try this one, then decide. Like I said at the beginning, all Carl's Jr's should be this good.

I go almost every morning to this particular location and always am met with awesome service by staff. Majority of the time it’s one lady Yadira I think is her name, and she’s the face of this location in the morning time! 5stars all across the board never miss unless she isn’t there. Every those times still great service and the grub is always on point!

My visit to this Carls Jr was very pleasant! The place is clean and the customer service was very good! Stopped by here for a quick pit stop on my way home from work and the store was very clean and the employees were very friendly! My food was delicious and fresh as well as my drink was ice cold!

I was just here tonight and noticed it took a while In the line, got my food within 10 minutes and asked what the wait was about. Looks like they’re training a new cook, so if you’re reading this you have your heads up! The food however was perfect. Whoever that new cook is, they’re doing a great job, I was a little impatient at first but my spicy chicken and famous star were some of the best made I’ve ever had. Keep training that cook, or maybe let them take their time cause it was worth it

Had a great experience here the last 2 times I was here. The burgers are flavorful and huge. I'd highly suggest the chicken tenders. They're crispy and moist. If you're dining in, they bring your food to you! 🤯 Staff during the day was delightful, too.

The best Carl's jr. I've been to. I have to say it's my favorite. Friendly and accommodating are the number one priorities. And they're burgers looks better than the pictures. And they're always cleaning and wiping down the tables along with excellent service. Will definitely go back

Carl's Jr, it's the ⭐ of the burger universe. But for real it's a normal CJ with the normal menu. No special thrills or frills, the food order was delivered quickly, we used the drive through, and the service was great, have all the napkins and sauces.

First time ordering Carls Jr from Uber. I was very pleasantly surprised at how well packaged everything was. My name was neatly written, everything was taped up, and the food was fresh. Fries were crispy (even though the order was placed around 2am is) Thank you Carls Jr night shift!

Super clean and well maintained. TVs on and playing family friendly shows. An actual person took my order and even delivered it to my table. Of course, the great food is why I went in the first place and the Famous Star I was served actually looked exactly like the picture on the menu.

Had to make a quick pit stop after leaving the post office for a sweet treat and a quick little snack and I’m glad I did! My milk shake was thick and creamy and the fried zucchini were perfectly crispy! The restroom was clean and the staff was very polite ! They even held the door for me on my way out which was a very pleasant surprise!!

I could just give you the stars I think you deserve, but I prefer to take 5 minutes out of my evening to talk about what I really thought of this experience I had today, January 11th, at 9:50 pm!!! After having a horrible day and arriving home extremely tired from work, I just wanted to eat fast food and relax. However, as soon as I entered the establishment, I met an employee named Ian. He was cleaning the place and, with all the kindness and a smile on his face, he came to serve me with the utmost patience, answering all my questions, as it was my first time buying from this place. He gave me several options, and it was clear that he knew the entire menu. Today was my birthday, and thanks to him, he managed to bring a smile to my face on such a terrible day. I truly hope this young man achieves everything he deserves in life because I could see how much effort he was putting into providing excellent service while also taking care of other things at the restaurant. Ian, if I never see you again, continue being this kind, cheerful, friendly, and intelligent young man. The company loses a lot if you ever leave. I will recommend the place to my friends!!! Thanksgiving morning, my brother and I were going to see the movie "Glass Onion" at the Century 20 Daly City and wanted to get some food in me before the massive bucket of popcorn I was about to eat. Was going to go to Taco Bell, but they were closed. Came across Carl's Jr., they were open, and I have not eaten at one since college. Stepped in, the place was clean, and the crew at the counter greeted me. Ordered, paid, went to the restroom for a wash ... the soap was out. Told the counter crew and they thanked me. Before I ate my food they had filled the soap dispenser and let me know. I got to wash before I ate. Perfect. My food was good ... hit the spot! Happy Thanksgiving to my Carl's Jr. Crew. I appreciate you working today and making my food. 5-Stars.

It's Carl's Jr., You should know what to expect. Pretty pricey in my opinion, compared to In n Out down the street. Overall, this location has not disappointed. Everything j got was at least to my expectations.

Thee service is always great. The manager is always amazing. However recently everytime I get soda the syrup is very low and it makes it taste like puke. It's always too late when I check it. Be wary of the soda.

Sooo...I was lured into Carl's Jr. By Watching the commercial on tv. I ordered the Big Carl combo I was surprised to see that the big Carl is big...the burger itself was okay..Not bad...the service at this Carl's Jr was great..the employees seem to like their job. Not as crowded as other fast food/quick service restaurants in the area. Food is relatively quick with hash brown rounds consistentlynhotnoutnof the fryer. One bummer is that coffee costs over $2, but Mickey D and BK, closer to a dollar plus tax. Always get your burgernpatties "cooked fresh from the grill". The store manager (current? Not current?)was the manager of the Carl's Jr. San Francisco civic center location until it closed. Was surprised to see her.

The service has been great especially when you're a regular. If there was ever a problem with the food they fix it. The Atmosphere is ok. It's not the establishment itself just that you have the homeless or mental ill stay around the place sometimes. Otherwise it's alright 👍

Okay, i don't go to fast food very often. I was late getting off work and it was way past the time I should eaten dinner. So I go as i needed to eat. I most say this food is as it always is with fast food. Their success is the consistency, you know what you are going to get no matter which location you go. This is more about the customer service. I did not use the drive thru as I needed to you the restroom. The staff in side were all kids and appeared to be happy. Customers were greeted and told someone would be with them shortly. The sitting area was clean from what I could see. The bathroom had an off smell but that was all that I found wrong. Kudos for hiring the right people, good luck keeping them.

Clean. But this used to be McDonald's. I was looking for McDonald's ain't here no more. This Carl's Jr. location makes their burger better than any other location. More fresh veggies and cleaner restaurant. Friendlier stuff too.

After work on are way home to Santa Cruz we rolled through the drive thru. Service was great, super nice, and they did a good job with are food. Carl's has always been one of my fav,s. I like the barbecue sauce and the onion rings on their burgers.

This Carl's Jr. is located near an In and Out burger. The I &O line for drive thru was down and around the block. There were 2 cars here. Honestly, the food was really good. It's fast food but very tasty.

I feel like this Carl's Jr. Is always open. I came here a bunch when I was using EBT. Burgers always good. I don't like it when the AI takes my order when im in the drive thru. Like the human interaction.

I want to start off by saying that I appreciate most of the stuff and the two managers (?) that I met. The food is fair and better than most Carls jr's I've been to. Besides their milk shakes, they could use help and also need to fill the cup. I paid $7 for them to feel it a little more than half way which wasn't cool.. I've never seen any other place do that, no whipped cream or a cherry either. 😞 Also the waffle fries are always over cooked lol, Nothing else ever has that issue. I appreciate the 2 for $6 deal and hope it stays, (my kids don't care for the toys ever and it's a better deal honestly lol) and definitely recommend checking out the Carl's jr app.

Food is consistently good quality no matter the time of day. They are short staffed- consisting two people. It's usually slow most of the day so expect an empty parking lot and your order very quickly. Otherwise, at nighttime, there may be a minor rush of a few people which can delay your order by at least 5-10min. If they mess your order, they will take your order and modify it instead of remaking it. Food safety-wise, it risks contamination and getting others sick. Service is not bad though.

Good meaty hamburgers and Mexican food. Usually not too busy so able to relax and enjoy. Updated 09/24/2022 Place looks ready to close up. Ordered two 1/3 lb burgers, and for sure by the pic you can see it is not a 1/3 lb patty. In the bag was exactly two napkins. I asked for ketchup and they gave me four packets stuck together. After opening the packets, I had to wash my hands because they were so sticky. Just bad!!!

This franchise was ok.... Service was ok, food was ok, nothing great but nothing outstanding either, middle of the road store with average vibe. Ordered a big Carl, asked the counter person to hold the pickles and thousand island sauce and add ketchup and mayo instead, seemed to get a little confused. Flowers are growing over there sign, landscaping is a little oversized relative to the buildings, signs and the covid 19 safety measures taken are substandard telling me the franchisee is very "frugal" 😉

I really like Carl's, especially their all natural burger. I saw their new Green Burrito menu and tried the new grilled burrito.it was pretty good and served with refried beans and Spanish rice and chips. Filled me up and the steak in the burrito was tender. Staff was friendly too.

I felt so terrible for the poor old overwhelmed Asian lady trying to single handedly run the show. Very mediocre fast food which cost more than a decent proper restaurant. I wonder why places like this are still in business. Just went there cuz we hadn't gone to a Carl's Jr in decades well turns out it sucked so never going back again lol

They've gotten far too expensive for a fast food chain that serves luke warm burgers. They used to be my go to for late night food after a night out drinkin. Now the closest one, same one from before, is too far, and too expensive. A nice treat every now and then tho.

At 2pm today, I ordered a chicken salad. The lettuce, the cucumber, and the onions were fresh (too cold), but the chicken could have passed for leather. That chicken is supposed to break up into pieces. This time it wanted to be a belt. The employees were very attentive, almost too attentive, as if there'd been complaints. We also had the bad luck of sharing a corner of the place with a guy who shouted a lot--not the management's fault.

I went through the drive-thru. The location was easy to get in and out of. The parking lot appeared to be in good condition. The menu looked well kept and clean, the drive-thru speaker came in clearly. Staff interaction was good. I'm rating this 3 stars due to the price: even for a Carl's Jr. the price was absurdly over-priced.

I love the food. I have been a fan for 40 years. This location has, I think, new owners/management, and while the employees have been oddballs over the years, the young woman who is apparently the manager is just awful. She berates the employees where customers can hear, and she could learn a lesson or two (or three) in humility. I cringe every time I hear her voice because I'm afraid she's going to humiliate an employee.

I love biscuits and gravy. The last 3 times I went there before breakfast was over they were out of biscuits, out of gravy or both. They let you know this after you paid and got stuck in the drive thru. Sometimes the gravy isn't that good . Kinda watery? When it's good . It's really good. The rest of the menu and service is very good. Try a little bit harder or take it off the menu please.

Food is good. Just don’t get the breakfast burritos unless you like drippy messy gravy or sauce. Dine in ambiance could be better if they didn’t blare hip hop music from a cheap boom box in the middle of the restaurant. Felt so ghetto.

Carl's Jr. was heavily marketing their Memphis BBQ Burger, and I couldn't take it any longer. The commercials won me over, and I headed to the nearest Carl's Jr. to pick up a Memphis BBQ Six Dollar Burger. Big mistake. The Six Dollar Burger patty was big, but it was dreadfully dry, grainy, and not tasty. I couldn't really taste much beefiness in it. The pulled pork was minimal, and also was dry. At least the sauce gave it a little sweetness. The best tasting part of the burger was probably the crispy onions, but being stuffed inside a burger didn't leave them that crispy. There wasn't a lot in there either so they all just got crushed. It's kind of crazy how we can be so swayed by good marketing, especially when we know the actual product is gonna be bad.

They need to get their s**t together. Constantly messing the orders. I stopped by after night of dancing to grab Californian double double, drove home and found single patty burger. Also, several times they try to charge me more than it should. Be careful with these guys

Zero for food, don't really know why besides McDonald's next door did not allow sit in dinners I went to Carl's Jr. Last time visiting a Carl's Jr like 5 years ago I felt sick afterwards, and same thing happened this time, over greasy burger, no flavor fries and a soda low on syrup $12 just go to MCD where you know what you get good or bad!

McDonald's line was long so I dropped in here for iced tea. I have been to this location prior and qith Green Burrito still on the menu I hadn't any complaints. That changed yesterday when I got a cup full if dishwater... I noticed all other drive through lines full so naturally it's not hard to figure why there is no wait at this chain branch... A must skip in my opinion... Unless you like dishwater and confusion at the order menu...

I used to really love this place but my 2 most recent visits (LA, SF) we’re disappointing. The place was kind of run down, the food not so fresh. There are so many better options in the fast food space, not likely to return any time soon.

Worst place ever to eat. Food is short and dry, chicken or burgers, fries cold, orders R always wrong, everytime I go, I try to give them a chance 2 clean it up, but to no avail. Take your chances if U want, but not worth time or gas $$. It's up 2 U, SMH. Ordered a breakfast burrito, 2 large hash browns. Hash Browns were great 4 🌟 🌟 but the burrito was trash 🗑 really TRASH!!! Total $15.17. Save your $$$ it's not worth the experience.

Well, went through the drive through, which I sat at the speaker for what seemed to be eternity. Got to the window after repeating the order 5 or 6 times due English as KIND of a second language on her part. Paid, got a drink and a "have a nice day" as she closed the window, had to remind her I paid for a combo meal(same woman I paid seconds earlier). Started to pull away after getting the bag and thought I better check, sure enough... got a burger in a bag no napkins or the rest of the order FRIES. Went into the store and the other woman looked a me like I was stupid after explaining what happened even though I was at the window just 45 seconds earlier and the fries are still sitting there. Get your $hit together Carl's Jr. you're serving food not finding a cure for cancer, it shouldn't be this difficult!

They'll get you the food, whether it be super slow (had to wait 30 minutes in the drive-thru at the front one time.) or somewhat fast. But, recently, one thing they've consistently done OVER and OVER again is get my order wrong. Once in a blue moon, when every dice you roll is a 6, when you royal flush in a poker match, then they'll get the order right... by one of the burgers you order at least. Every single time we say no cheese, guess what? We get cheese. Sometimes they even put in the wrong order but swiftly correct themselves. Either they're working these guys to death or they're high 24/7 because not once in recent months have I gotten my order correct here. Try somewhere else?

I only come here with a coupon, or check out their additional promotions. At this particular location, the store manager does their own thing with the company's advertisements. One sign says buy one burger/breakfast sandwich and get 2nd one for $2. They then told me that's only for breakfast? I asked why and they said simple said that's the way it is. There are young and unfriendly workers that clearly don't want be there. Just get your food and get out.

Something isn't right at this location. I ordered the Taquitos (my FAVORITE) and I received what literally could have been some Delinex Taquitos that they bought from Costco and dropped in the fryer. It was TERRIBLE. Barely any chicken inside(was it even chicken???) and SO DRY. Also, food was handed out the drive-through window SIDEWAYS, so all the toppings slid to the side, my steak burrito leaked everywhere, and my chicken quesadilla fused to the bag it was in for the same reason. What. The. Hell. With that said, it's been a while since I've gone to this location and perhaps I caught them on a bad night, so I'll give them another chance for redemption.

Bad management and very poor customer service, they do not honor coupons that are not expired, they will tell you that the manager said the offers expired yesterday even though it clearly states they are still good. I don't think they know how dates work. Obviously, the manager does not know what he/she is doing and it clearly reflects on the staff. Not coming back ever.

I would've loved to come here for my daily lunch and snack break. But whenever I come here, the restroom is always blocked and unavailable for use so I always just end up going to McDonald's right next door which has restrooms always avaible.

This place is shady! They will sometimes purposely charge you for things you didn't ask for or "forget" items your ordered and when this happens, they conveniently forgot to give you your receipt. Did I mention this is in drive through? I just came from there now and checked my bag before I left. They forgot a whole set of fries. When I told the girl, she grabbed my bag and took it inside, then gave it back to me. I then drove off assuming she fixed the problem. Nope! When I arrived home, they literally took my criss cuts and gave me regular when it was supossed to be both. No receipt to complain! How convenient for them. They also forgot my jalapeños that I paid for. I don't think this is an accident because it's happened only when they "forget" to give me a receipt. ALWAYS GET A RECEIPT FROM THEM! They will try to scam you if you don't!

Covid must’ve finally got to me because I’m having a legit meltdown over the Swiss crispy chicken sandwich I’ve been craving all day! Entire order was ruined and I pretty much spent 26$ for 2 sodas and 2 cheesecakes because they gave me the wrong chicken sandwich and made other mistakes. Please double check your orders and receipts here like 5x because checking once isn’t enough for this location

First of all, this place is usually a cut above, with great staff, accurate and quick orders, and well cooked food. Asian owner lady is the best! But today, I had to deal with an awkward situation. This one poor cashier can't think out of the box, just overly obsessed with her routine and procedures. After a long discourse about why I can't have a six dollar burger in the Western style, (which I gave up on), she then tries to charge me over $18 for a combo 4. Then when I ask for a House dressing, she says "thats only for the zuchinni but not for the onion rings". Never heard that at any Carl's before... Then she tells me this gem- "I go by the book, sorry that you don't". Unbelievable. Poor tortured soul.

They need help. I stopped here because it was off of the freeway and I wanted a quick bite. It took so long to get my food and there were only 2 other people in the resturant. I looked back behind the counter and they had my tenders sittin nasty on a bare dirty counter. I asked for a refund before i even got the food and left.

The slowest drive thru ever. I'm pretty sure it's not the workers daylt. They're understaffed. You can be in line for 30 minutes easily, with only 4 or 5 cars ahead of you

They continue to cut back on staff and have an AI order taker now. The food has gotten worse the last year. The drive thru hasn't taken less than 20 minutes since the change. If it wasn't the only 24 hour option within a few miles of work I would never go again. Plus carls as a whole has tripled prices in last few years.

Female was talking in Spanish, (visiting other worker) too much while we were ordering our food. She didn't even hear me order my whole meal, I had to go back and reorder. Went through drive through at 2am ordered a large meal with large drink the tried to give me a small drink for large price she said they were out of large cups, but I'm looking right at the large cups I had to make her give me a large drink and not the small she was trying to pass as a large drink. She was out right trying to cheat me and then got mad when I pointed it out and called me names because I made her serve me what I paid for. She does not need to be working in service a pure thief. Decided to return today and they got my order incorrect when I corrected her she became very rude, they still got it incorrect I asked for a large lemonade and they tried to give me a small again I corrected them became even more rude. They thought they would fill up the cup with ice for less lemonade, at this time I was dealing with the manager he was just as rude as the person in the window. When I asked for the number to his supervisor he told me he has no supervisor the buck stops with him. My advise if you don't care about good service this Carl's Jr's is ok to visit but if like good service with your visit stay away. The San Francisco Bay as a whole has bad service when it comes to fast food this Carl's Jr has the worst of all. They need an entire new staff whomever the owner is they don't seem to care.

Older Asian lady at drive through late night was extremely rude. I politely asked to cancel my order due to me forgetting my card and she started yelling at me “why did I do that? You should know!” Then she proceeded scolding me as if she was my mother. I’m a grown woman & The yelling was so unnecessary . Also lacking a lot of customer service while ordering and such a lack of professionalism on her behalf. I never usually write reviews but this experience was awful, I definitely Won’t be coming back. I work customer service and a manager, I understand how to be understanding but her actions and attitude was so uncalled for, this is my second time dealing with her and the first interaction with her was also unpleasant and the reason why I stopped coming, but I let it slide. As for tonight my husband and I tried to give it another try and here she is again and a much WORSE experience. So hence the one star review for this establishment. To the manager and or owner please train her better, this is reflection of you and the company, Do better Carls Jr. I don’t need you to respond with a generic answer that you have copied and paste for reviews to make things right, but what you can do is to TRAIN HER PROPERLY!!

Asked for a meal, specified I wanted the Tenders, was unsure if it was under a number or not at the drive thru so I said a number 11, then even said I wanted 6 piece of the hand rbeard tenders, combo. Got my meal and out the drive thru and I was given a sandwich. I go inside to explain and was pretty much immediately given attitude and told sorry you ordered what you ordered. Except I said three times I wanted something else, I get the confusion but the lack of customer service is appalling. Last time I ever bring my money to this dump.

The service was terrible. It wasn't worth almost $60. Me and my boyfriend were the ONLY customers besides a Doordash driver and the staff looked angry that we were there. The workers also made the Doordash driver wait for his order because they just started making it! They messed up our order and forgot things. They also gave my partner an attitude when he kept going back up to them about our missing food and also said we had to pay for extra sauce?The first time I came here it was great. With this being my 2nd experience, I lost my appetite from that poor service. I don't know if the workers were new but I won't return.

My boys wanted Carl's Jr. Took there order and went there. Not only did they have no beans for the burritos. They asked to add and no extra charge. Added extra rice...they added white rice..HORRIBLE. THEN ordered 2 prime rib sandwich, one of them hardly had cheese. $48.00 for 3 burritos and 2 prime rib sandwiches. DO NOT BUY FOOD FROM HERE!! TERRIBLE AND TOO EXPENSIVE....NEVER AGAIN!!!

Overpriced and not even tasty. 20 years ago I loved Carl‘s Jr., but our experience today was really bad. We had a chicken sandwich with fries and a soda and the jalapeno angus burger. We paid 27 bucks and it tasted very poorly. Angus my ... If you compare the price and the quality to Fatburger and In-N-Out, this place ist just not worth it.

The food is good but the customer service is not only bad but disrespectful. They don’t care about their customers. They must train all their employees here to be rude to you because it seems like they go out of their way to mess up your order. If you ask for no cheese they won’t care even if you’re dining in. They will give you Coca-Cola without even asking you what drink you want. There was one time where they forgot to give me tops for my drinks and when I asked for two tops they said they don’t have tops they only had lids. I would have cursed them out but the employees there don’t make enough money to hear my loud mouth so I just said OK I’ll take a lid and thanked them. God forbid they ever give you more than three packets of ketchup and any other sauce will cost you an arm and a leg. The list literally goes on. Needless to say I am never coming back to this location just to hold on to the small amount of respect that I have for myself for putting up with their terrible service for this long.

The size of the burgers were so small. The look of the foid was dismal. And yet the prices were inflated. Please see a photo of the burger and the receipt. Even the 7 dollar burger was pitiful as Carls Jr scaled down on the bun size. The food handler didn't know how to make the root beer float with soft serve chemical concoction and messed up very badly. I am never going back!

Me and my mom went to Carl's Jr and we both ordefed Super Nachoes. The cashier was cold and wasn't nice. The price for both food items and drinks came out to 37 dollars. We ordered small drinks so it was a shock to even find out that the drinks were about 7 dollars for both. But that wasn’t the top of it. When we got our food, it looked like dog food which was quoted by my mom. The food tasted salty and very cold. The steak tasted cheap and gross. The onions were very big. The chips were hard and salty along with some of them being tough to even chew. And it smelled funny. We had to leave our food on the table and go to McDonald's to eat. Which our order came out less and it was slightly better than what we got at Carl's Jr. We'll never go there again!

Drive thur window person couldn’t understand me and got mad at me. After that I didn’t want to order because it made me so uncomfortable as if I did something wrong. I hardly come and I will not be returning.

Incompetent workers that give you incorrect items and attitude! I spoke with the owner and he had the nerve to still charge me for the incorrect order. Steer clear from this location by all means!

The lady at the drive through window... She doesn't understand or speak English well and she will get angry when you tell her she didn't put the correct item for your order. She tells you that you DID order the wrong thing she rang up. Even when you have your QR code open for her to scan so she can see what you really ordered. She still yells at you and will throw the bag at you when she brings your food. SUPER RUDE. Idk why they have her working here. Terrible customer service.

Carl’s is supposed to be famous for their charbroiled burgers. My patty tasted like it was pan fried several hours ago and kept warm in a drawer until ordered. I’m unsure if the low quality is particular to this restaurant branch or across all locations. I recommend Habit burger if you want that fresh charbroiled taste.
