Friendly lady at the window helped us. Hamburger and milk shake were were both excellent

I enjoyed my Twister, plenty of "toppings" in it. On par w/ most options for that kind of desert out there.

This place reminds me of being 6 or 7 and having Grandma take me and my sisters to get a frosty freeze, Well that's what we called the single serve vanilla cone with that authentic vanilla taste. The onion rings we're good too by the way and the frosty freeze vanilla cone still taste just like it did many many moons ago !!

We are very lucky people. Our lunch is always served on our tray outside. Can't ask for more than that

Best Foster's Freeze I've ever been to! This is an independently owned and operated Foster's Freeze and I'm not sure if that made the difference, but the food and service here are above and beyond. The restaurant itself is small and on the older side. We had the spicy chicken sandwich, a lettuce wrapped burger, and a BLT, all served with perfectly done crinkle cut fries. We topped it off with a few chocolate dipped half and half cones and a chocolate shake. If you go, don't expect anything fancy or modern, this is an old school, crammed together, hard bench style booth, seriously delicious junk food kind of place.

Pretty much the only place in Danville that's primarily for ice cream and has lasted a long time. Good soft serve that can be served in many different sundaes or with candy mixed in, though prices are a little high. Service is generally fast.

Came late at night and was already cleaning up. Still very friendly and even asked his boss(I think owner) if we could fire the grill up so was able to get my meal and peanut butter Banana shake!! Amazing food and shakes as always and the service was superb!!

Personally, the food is decent and relatively better than your average fast food like McDonald's, service may be a bit slow depending on how busy it is but that's to be expected. But the icecream is delicious like it's supposed to and the presentation that goes into it is well done.

Top-notch burgers, fries, and shakes. I will choose this place over other fast-food joints without hesitation. I like to pit-stop here during long bike rides on the nearby Ironhorse trail.

Foster Freeze is not just for delicious ice cream. The burgers, and Grilled cheese is delicious as well. The owner Sue is so sweet and the employees there are always very kind and they remember you each time you come in.🙌

We love coming here during the summer. The burgers are made to order, the buns are soft and makes the burger super yummy. 🍔 Top it off with some soft serve with fun toppings. 🍦🍫🤤 this place has indoor seating and one table outside. you can order from a window outside or at the counter.

We suspect that it was due to the pandemic situation. No doubt they will quickly return to their flawless customer service. We plan to continue to enjoy the food and ice cream at this iconic eatery.

Not really my kind of food, but as retro experience it was great. The fries were hot, the ice cream cone properly sloppy and the service was too notch for this kind of establishment

This is one of the very last fosters around and it's in it's original condition ..it offered a very very large menu we went there for a dipped cone and after a 5 min wait we got our very lightly dipped cone ..they are very busy and very understaffed ..so for that iam giving them a 4 star if they had a few more workers and maybe a little smaller pricing of there menu it would be a 5

I've only come here for the soft serve cones, which is a nice deal. I can't recommend the food but the ice cream ain't half bad for the price.

So few fosters freeze locations left! It was great to find one and get all the tasty things I remember, ok well I didn't get them ALL... this time.

It took me back to my childhood when my parents took us to fosters and the food is still good and the milk shakes are amazing

Fosters freeze has a nostalgic feel to it. You have a walk up order window which is very well used on school days. The interior has traditional tables. The shakes ate rich and yummy. They burgers and chicken sandwiches as well. I o ly go here for dessert, so I can not discuss the food. however, do you really want anything but dessert?

This is the only place I go to get my pineapple strawberry milkshake also I know a few people love the food there I haven't really eaten it I've only had hamburgers from there and they've all been good stop Rocky stop

I told them I wanted the ice cream instead and they had me reorder and pay again. I was willing to since I wanted to get what I want! As someone who is in restaurant management myself, I would’ve just remade it for free but I understand. Other than that, I recommend this spot for a sweet treat!

I was a little disappointed in the soft serve ice cream. Not as vinella bean tasting as I was used to. We need a Carvel in the tri-valley area.

This is one place that still charges for refills on your soda! Other than that, the food was great!

There's nothing quite like a soft serve on a cone from Fosters: vanilla or chocolate with the most perfect creamy consistency. For an extra few cents, they'll even dip it in chocolate. Mmmmmm Location specific: Danville, CA ======================== It's gone off the rails. Cray cray. They have every frozen item from under the sun from Costco or Smart & Final: burgers to burritos to fries to fried zucchini, and a whole lot more. The whole ordering counter window is plastered with little pictured signs -- it's fugly if you ask me, and unappetizing.

This is a local place, lots of kids coming in after school for ice cream. The shop is tired, broken stools, etc, but the drinks and ice cream are good. They also make burgers and fries.

$10 for a burger and a cone might be worth it if it was good. I must have waited 20 minutes for my burger and it was no better than a dollar burger at any fast food joint.

Poor quality in the food. Food tasted old and it had been sitting on all day!!! Hot dog was really dried up and old. Fries tasted refried over.

Went for a fun lunch with my family and nobody was there. The sign posted said 11:00am for sunday, but instead we were bummed out. We had nowhere else to go to get the dipped cone experience. It actually made me sad, for my kids and myself. Missed memories....
