One does not expect much from a chain restaurant in a shopping center, but stoicism teaches us to set our expectations low and our gratitude high. I ordered the Roasted Garlic Cauliflower—a limited-time offering, much like the fleeting seasons of life. I pondered the impermanence of all things as I added spicy Chipotle sauce, an act of boldness akin to seasoning the mundane with a bit of adventure. The cauliflower, roasted to a tender crisp and infused with the subtle warmth of garlic, was more than a side—it was a humble reminder that even the simplest things can be elevated. Paired with the fiery embrace of the Chipotle sauce, it was an experience both grounded and exhilarating. In the end, I left The Habit with a sense of fulfillment, not because the meal was extraordinary, but because I was content with what was offered. As Seneca might say, the good life is not about great things, but the small things well appreciated. And that, my friends, is what The Habit has achieved with their Roasted Garlic Cauliflower. We as a family love Habit. Chicken sandwich is our go-to with raw onions and sweet potato fries. Char Burger is also yummy. The best part is the service, they are quick and friendly. Always fresh and high quality food.

Burgers, fries, and pricing are better than In-N-Out. No drive-thru is a bit less convenient and they don't have as much customization but you get more food for the price and the charbroil flavor if you just want their standard burgers. They have peppers too, and mushroom is an option. I did have an order that omitted a paid extra (portobello on a portobello mushroom burger) in all of the many visits. Also, they have Dr. Pepper if you're a fan.

Food was good served hot and was plentiful. Service is fast , check to make sure all is good and they keep water and beverage full. Yes I would return.

First time at this location. Food was pretty good, served hot. We ordered no salt, so it took a little longer perhaps, which was understandable, but portion was smaller than what we receive at other locations. A few tables needed to be wiped down, so we opted for take out. Lemonade is always tasty, a bit too sweet for our family at every location we've been to, but we dilute it with iced tea or water. We really like the peppers & sauces available - standard at every Habit, but hate having to use so many little plastic containers, as it's so bad for the environment. Not this location's fault, that's a corporate decision that we hope will change. Counter employee was pleasant. Bathroom was ok, needed overflowing paper towel waste basket emptied. Free parking lot on site. This location conveniently located not far from 680 freeway.

I will give 5 stars when they stop burning my onion rings. I don't know what it is. But every time i go, my onions are burnt. Other than that, the service is great, and the atmosphere is great. Food is good besides my onion rings.

Char burger, was nicely put together, fries were luke warm and on the mushy side, too hungry to return and ask for a re-make. Combo @ $12+ dollars should be on point! Tables could have been bussed more, went in close to 2 PM, not that busy.

One of the best flavored burgers. 5 star on food, service and cleanliness. My only complaint is the booths are to compact and tables aren't moveable. I'm 6'5 and football weight, was not comfortable in a booth.

Quick pick up experience. Food was solid. But my kids’ meals were missing the burger gummies.

I went here for a quick lunch. Nice and clean store which was expected. Everything was good as usual except they way over cooked my onion rings. To be fair I did ask for extra crispy but some of them were on the edge of burnt.

They have the fresh tuna sandwich, a tri-tip beef sandwich and they have many versions of the hamburger. Service is excellent and the prices are reasonable. Staff is always on the ball. Their onion rings are as good as any sit down and serve restaurant.

Habits Burger Grill is very different from in and out because you can get a lot more than just a hamburger. They have the fresh tuna sandwich, a tri-tip beef sandwich and they have many versions of the hamburger. Service is excellent and the prices are reasonable. Staff is always on the ball. Good Teriyaki burger comes with small meat burger and small piece of pineapple. Tastes good and cooked well. Ordered at the kiosk and the service was quick. Store is clean and staff were good.

Customer service wasn't bad. I had never been to a habit burger and when my son said he wanted to go there to eat I got excited and was looking forward to trying it out. I had been wanting to for a while. And it doesn't live up to the hype. I was way disappointed not only by the price which I thought was hi for the food we got.

Ordering digitally was not a good experience - no instructions provided, just keep punching keys and options til you get it right. )(Note: I worked in tecchnology / mgmnt.... I'm not adverse using machines nor phones to order.) Only two workers during the dinner hour, food prep was annoyingly SLOW. You won't like it if you go there hungry - it'll annoy the heck out of you how slow they are, plus you will feel like you're starving. We waited 20 minutes for our food for 'fast food', I almost walked out even though we'd paid for the food. The food was finally ready just as I stood up to leave, not kidding!. Diners are faster than this! They fill you up with huge buns, average sized overcooked meat patties, deep fried sides/ carbs and sugary drinks, not exactly healthy food. Lots of carbs. Lots of deep fried, lots of sugar. You'll feel like a kid again, the next day my stomach felt like it was full of grease. Would I eat here again? If feeling desparately hungry and not wanting to spend much....plus if several years passed and I've forgotten about the long, long wait for food and my queasy stomach the next day....LOL

Food is good, but service is awful. Employees are rude and would rather chat amongst themselves than help customers. Prices also love to increase sporadically. Not a fan of the employees at all, wish they got an attitude adjustment.

We stopped here on Monday evening. After I ordered I noticed how dirty it was behind the counter. If I hadn’t already paid I would have left. The floor where the workers were was littered with garbage. One worker just walked over everything and kicked the trash out of the way. Made no effort to clean up anything. Instead of standing around doing nothing in between customers staff need to be trained to maintain a clean workspace. The food was fine but I doubt that we’ll be back to this Habit. We’ve never been to one this sloppy.

I am a huge Habit Teri Burger fan. I really enjoy eating Habit burgers now better than eating at In-n-Out. I have had many at the Dublin Amador Valley location. Today was my first and last visit to the San Ramon location. This burger was cooked well-done. It was dry-to-bone. The bun was overall stale, not fresh. The bottom bun was cool to the touch although the top of it was grilled, assuming this bun came straight from the refrigerator, the top bun was chard, but the top of the bun was cool to the touch. The french fries were lukewarm, and slightly dried on the edges. Service was mediocre compared to the Dublin staff. Music was LOUD and blasting inside. We sat outside and had to find a clean table. There is no music at Dublin's. I will take my business back to Dublin.

Not sure what happened here but one of their $10 burgers would fill my wife and I up. Tonight we ordered our usual and were sadly disappointed. I had to look for a minute to see if we were at McDonald’s. Looked like 1/8 pound burger in the bun. Honestly, for the money, we would have happier at the golden arches tonight.

I have been to other Habit burgers and my review is no reflection on the other locations. In this pandemic era , this particular location seem to be clueless.I have been there four times. Once the burgers were cold when I picked them up. Twice they had the order wrong and the fourth time, there were something like a blood stain on one of the burger wrappings. No more Habit in San Ramon. In & Out Burger it is!

Horrible customer service, I ordered a double char on sourdough. And only had one patty, then the cook claimed cause it's sourdough it only gets one patty? That doesn't add up. Make it right the first time

Very bad customer service. The manager was very rude to the other coworkers and to the customers also. He was telling people to go outside for picking up orders and wouldn’t let people explain themselves. I was picking up an online order and before I could say that, he said “oh DoorDash, go outside and wait”

The food quality was really bad, my wife and I both had severe diarrhea after eating the food, the hygiene was really bad, the toilets were dirty, the customer service was really bad, especially the gentleman who took the food order was upset and rude.

I always order the same thing from the Habit (Cobb Salad with extra blue cheese); the Dublin location always gets it right, this location ALWAYS gets it wrong. Today's order from there had no bacon and almost no cheese. I've had interactions with "Habit Corporate" and they've claimed the District Manager has talked to this location about it - yet nothing changes and in fact has gotten worse. I like the Habit overall, but this specific location should be avoided. If you do order from this location, make sure to check your order before leaving to make sure its right and don't bother paying extra to customize your order as that is a waste of time and money.

Let me start by saying the habit is one of the only fast food places that have menu items I can actually eat. I usually have a good experience at any other location, but after moving to the area last year I have had the misfortune of this being the closest location to my house. Not once has my order been correct. I have tried ordering in person, over the phone, and using the mobile app. It doesn't matter, something will be wrong or just plain missing. I understand mistakes happen, and that's not why this place gets one star. Did you know if you order your food via the phone or their app you cannot get a refund in-store? You are told to call customer service. Now, Go and try to find that number anywhere online or in the store. Go ahead, I'll wait..... I asked the manager if she could get me the phone number. 15 minutes later, she told me to go online. RUDE STAFF, poor food quality, and dirty location. I mean honestly, just avoid this place and save yourself some time and frustration. I have reached out on the habits website by filling out their customer contact form, but have never gotten a callback. They don't care. I did get an automated email to get some free charbuger coupons.. Followed the link, entered my info, and was greeted with an error stating my address had already been used before. You know, the last time this happened.... Looks like you only get one "refund" with the habit. EVER.

Laziest ran establishment I've ever encountered. They don't even have employees here to take your order, you have to use a stupid electronic machine. Robots will replace all you useless workers in a few years anyways. Absolutely pathetic excuse for a restaurant even by fast food standards.

This location has made it a “habit,” of getting take-out orders wrong. You have been warned. Today I paid extra for bacon. No bacon found on my burger…. At home eating a bacon-less burger while writing this review. The burger is also super dry.

I don’t recommend them for substitutions or custom orders. If you are customizing for an allergy or sensitivity, go somewhere else. Their food is yummy and sanitary but they don’t follow customizations. I’ve been lucky once. That was it.

This specific Habit isn’t very good at consistently getting your order right. 50% of the time we are missing food from our order. Most recently we didn’t get an entire kids meal we ordered. —- Another order… Again this place screws up my order. WHERE ARE MY MILKSHAKES!!! And you forgot ranch with the kids nugget meals! Also, no, I don’t want to send emails about my experience. JUST GET THE ORDER RIGHT! ——- ANOTHER ORDER… YOU FORGOT A WHOLE F%#*ING SALAD THIS TIME!!!!! WHY ARE YOU GUYS SO BAD AT GETTING ORDERS RIGHT! ————- Another order… No fries this time. No 10pc chicken bites. You didn’t even bother to send the ranch for the kids chicken bite meals. And you left out straws for the drinks. Seriously….terrible. Hopefully DoorDash makes you refund them when they have to refund me. ————— Another order… You forgot the milkshakes again. Can you imagine how disappointed kids are when they don’t get the milkshakes they wanted? Thanks for disappointing my kids. If anyone orders from here you absolutely must use a service like DoorDash. Each time this place screws up I simply get a refund from DoorDash. This isn’t such an easy task if you order directly from their app, which I learned the hard way.

I would personally have to say as a guide of all things food and this being my first time to a the habit burger grill place, i was disappointed because I was excited to try there famous burger and i got it lettuce wrapped but I did not get the avocado or the extra patty i asked and payed for, so by the time I got back to work i noticed i was missing a few items. As a heads up i would say to make sure to check or even ask them if everything is correct on your order. I'll stick to burger king from now on and they never disappoint.
