Excellent place for dinner; I recommend sitting at the bar if your party is up to three people. I went here three different times, and highly recommend it especially for people who want to try Argentinian cuisine or, honestly, just want to have some good meat. I wish I took a picture of the entraña, it was my favorite dish I’ve had here. I recommend the avocado burrata grill for starters: it’s a good dish to share, fresh and very delicious. Comes with bread so you can use it as a dip for it. Empanada duos are also very good, I recommend the chicken and cheese flavor. For mains, I can’t help but recommend the entraña yet again: the meat is very tender and overall simply delicious. I paired it with the puré carbonara. If you don’t prefer meat or are vegetarian, I recommend the butternut squash ravioli. Lastly, for desserts I recommend the dulce de leche pancakes if you really feel like trying something Argentinian. They’re very sweet and the dulce de leche portions are very generous. I would share this one too. They have a bar with plenty of cocktails and can very much accommodate to whichever style you like even if it’s not in the menu. I also recommend for bigger parties, since the restaurant has plenty of space and the atmosphere is very nice and casual. You can easily chat with the people on your table and it’s not too noisy. Overall great, visited more than once and as an Argentinian myself would definitely go again.

We ventured to Decatur for the Candlelight concert nearby Belen Bistro and had the best experience. Every single person we interacted with at the restaurant was so friendly and helpful. The skirt steak, carrots & truffle fries were exactly what we wanted them to be, flavorful & fresh. We will definitely be back. Our server Chelsea was also wonderful.

We stayed in Decatur and ran across this little gem of a restaurant. We only stopped in to grab a drink but the food smelled delicious, so we ordered appetizers. Every thing about this place is legit. The drinks were craft and first class, the food was spectacular and the staff is SO nice and friendly! We enjoyed this place so much that we came again tonight!

Where can I start? The service (Alida B) was amazing and attentive. The food was spectacular; it took me back to the ravioli that my nonna used to make and the chicken that my dad used to grill. The wine and drinks were perfect, fancy, and delicious. We will be coming back with friends.

Nice little spot in Decatur Square. My wife and I loved everything from the service to the outstanding food. The menu is not large which is great because whatever they prepare, you can tell they pay attention to details in every course.

Service was top notch. We had the proveleta for our appetizer and it was amazing. The Entrada was one of the best steaks I have had. Great place all around. I will be back

A wonderful place that feels like home. Belen Bistro is one of those rare spots that combines authenticity, warmth, and quality. The food was excellent, true Argentine flavor, made with care and passion. The service was kind and attentive, and the atmosphere made everyone feel welcome. The event organized by the Consulate of Argentina in Georgia was very well executed and beautifully hosted here. It was great to see our community gathered in such a pleasant environment, enjoying good food, culture, and conversation. Belen and her team truly make you feel like family grateful for their hospitality and professionalism.

We had such a great dinner at Belen Bistro. Finally an authentic Argentine restaurant, made only better by the chic ambiance and perfect location. What a treat! The empanadas are perfectly fried and the dough is on point. The chorizo is genuine Argentine style (tip: eat it with the delicious, warm bread served at the table and the great chimichurri they serve). The entraña was so tender and perfectly salted. The milanesa napolitana was made with high quality, real tomatoes (no crappy commercial tomato sauce) and generous melted cheese, super tasty and flavorful. If you prefer thicker, crispy milanesa, though, either don't get it napolitana style or go for some other delicious main course, they all sounded amazing. The flan with dulce de leche was to die for. Probably one of the best I've had, definitely in the US, but possibly ever, including in Argentina. Perfect texture, so flavorful, and perfectly accompanied by that thick, decadent dulce de leche (which they also sell to go, grab a jar!!) Congrats to Belen and team for this gem of a place in Decatur and much needed addition to Atlanta. Will be back for more!

Food was amazing, the Entraña was cooked to perfection paired with the Malbec wine. Chefs kiss. And the ham and cheese empanadas were so good. The dulce de leche in their desserts is really really good. Please visit this place, the service was perfect and the prices are really good for the quality of the food. I’ll go back soon.

We were fortunate to give his new restaurant a try this evening! For our first visit, we were pleasantly surprised! We had high hopes for this restaurant when we first heard they had joined the Decatur square of restaurants! I am a big fan of Argentinian food and have had a hard time finding authentic Argentinian food for a long time. Tonight we tried the Corn Salad, Empanadas, and Choripan. For drinks we had the Pisco Sour, and I tried a Tannat red wine from Uruguay (Bodega Garzon), and a lovely Malbec (Altos Del Planta) as well. Both were delicious! I am a particular fan of the Tannat wine/grape and find it hard to find in the ATL scenes. I was very excited they had a good one on the list! All of the food was perfect. The salad was well seasoned and amazing. The Empanadas were also well seasoned and very juicy. The Choripan, though more of a lunch dish, was excellent! Choripan is something I have been craving for a long time. With most of these dishes, there was a side of Chimichurri. I am VERY picky with my chimichurri. Good Chimichurri can make or break a lot of dishes. I was very impressed with theirs! It was perfect. Everything from the atmosphere/ambience/music, to the service, and the food was wonderful. I can't wait to come back to explore more of the dinner menu! I feel like this might become one of my favorites in downtown Decatur! It is a cuisine of food I feel Atlanta in general is lacking and I am so excited they opened up in Decatur!

Excellent experience! The place is immaculate, the food is absolutely delicious and the service was great. I tried the ravioli and I loved it! And for dessert I ordered the Panqueque Dulce de Leche. If you are a Dulce de Leche lover like me, you have to try it.

Love this place! The food, bread, and drinks are excellent, particularly the mojito and the bread with the chimichurri butter. Their happy hour deals on drinks also can’t be beat.

I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Belén Bistro and WOW!!! what an incredible experience! I felt I was in the heart of Argentine at one of its top restaurants!! I tried the ravioli and they were out of this world, truly 5-star Michelin quality. Every bite was rich, comforting, and perfectly crafted. I also had the milanesa sandwich, which was flavorful, crispy, and so satisfying, and the panqueque de dulce de leche… just heavenly. Every dish was a sensory delight. The space itself is beautiful, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed, it strikes the perfect balance between cozy and elegant. The service was outstanding; you can tell every detail is handled with love, professionalism and great care. If you’re looking for a place that will delight your taste buds and feed your soul, Belén Bistro is it. I can’t wait to come back and try more. ¡Felicitaciones, Belén and all the team! 🇦🇷 GRACIAS por bringing a bit of our loved Argentina to our new chosen home ❤️

I needed a spot for a solo lunch and came across this place after work. Service was spectacular and I love that there is outdoor seating. I was not a fan of the milanesa sandwich but possibly just not the right thing for me. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I can’t wait to go back

What a pleasant surprise in the heart of Decatur. We had the butternut squash ravioli and the “entraña”, the Argentine version of the Hanger Steak. Both dishes were amazing. The Dulce de Leche desert was to die for. Great bar as well. We will be back!

We brought our two little girls here, who are quite picky, and were worried they might not find something they like. Quite the opposite. They (and we) scarfed down everything; the baked Brie, the Milanese, the house salad. Even the bread was incredible. And the chicken empanadas were so delicious they made me want to be a better person.

The food and drinks are amazing! We've been here many times. Beef empanadas, mojitos, spinach ravioli, and ojo de bife are our go-tos. So, so good. Service is always amazing!

An absolute delight from start to finish! Exceptional drinks and tapas, attentive staff (truly 1000/10), and a welcoming ambiance. The caipirinha and pisco were standouts, and the cauliflower dish was packed with flavor. A must-visit when in Decatur. Thank you Bamba for making our night!

Our dinner at Belen Bistro was nothing short of exceptional! Located in the heart of Decatur, this place boasts a prime location, a delightful atmosphere, and most importantly, incredible food. I had the milanesa, which was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor, followed by the flan for dessert—an absolute showstopper! Every bite was a treat, and the attention to detail in both the presentation and taste truly impressed me. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it the ideal spot for an enjoyable meal with friends. I loved our experience so much that I’m already planning to celebrate my wife’s birthday here. Highly recommend Belen Bistro for anyone seeking delicious food and a memorable dining experience. We’ll definitely be back very soon!

We finally have an Argentinian restaurant! We ordered the tenderloin carpaccio, chorizo, and skirt steak. We’re from Miami and been to many Argentinian restaurants. This skirt steak was the best we’ve had! The service was impeccable. Highly recommend and we will be back! Also, try the vacío cut steak. You’ll thank me.

I held my birthday dinner at Belen and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. The food was absolutely delicious. The warm bread with rosemary butter that is brought to your table is an indication that to settle in for a truly good meal. Comforting but not heavy. The ambiance, decor, staff…all compliments the meal. We never felt rushed and service was timed perfectly- dishes arriving as they should so no one was waiting to begin each course. There were five in my party, we ordered a variety of dishes and apps and shared. Portions are generous. Did I say the food is delicious? The Brie and the Carpaccio apps were a perfect way to begin our meal. We ordered the skirt steak, the butternut and the spinach raviolis, the chicken, the chorizo. We had creamed spinach and the Brussels sprouts along with the potato purée. 4 entrees, 5 people and still left with a bit of the meal to enjoy the next day. For desert, We shared the lemon merengue, chocolate mousse and the berry merengue bomb. DIVINE. Seriously, like angels from Heaven descend and prepared a dessert. Our server Ally is simply The Best. The owner, Belen, came over and spent time sharing a little of her story of how the restaurant came to be, how personal the photos are and is So gracious. As if she welcomed us into her home. This is a wonderful place. Get here. You will not be disappointed and will plan to return many, many times as I do!

What a gem! Since moving to Atlanta, I hadn’t found a great Argentinian restaurant—this is the closest I’ve felt to home so far. Moises and Belen were super attentive, and the place has such a cozy, welcoming vibe. We tried the provoleta, the entraña, and a couple of desserts—everything was delicious and truly authentic. They’re still new, so you can tell they’re figuring out traffic and organizing service, but overall the experience was perfect. I also just found out they’re the same owners of Belen Empanadas, which I love (I often grab them for breakfast at the location near my house—they’re awesome). Even though I had to commute a bit to get here, it was absolutely worth it. Fingers crossed they open one in the Roswell/Alpharetta area soon!

I’ve been there before, but. The last time I was there was great. This time was the best service I’ve ever had. Every corse we had the plates were taken away the table was cleaned. The food was amazing. He suggested everything for us. The empanadas were first, corn salad was second, steak OJO was great with the mash potatoes! Desert with the berries! 10/10 going back again. I think the waiters name was Mecca. It was busy and he just somehow made time for us. You have to check this place out!

The one thing Atlanta was missing was a good Argentinian restaurant. We finally have one! They even have the hard to find cut called vacío. The drinks were great and food was fantastic. It was the best skirt steak I’ve had. I will definitely be returning. Oh, and they sell the delicious empanadas for you to make at home. The staff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!

We had a great experience! My favorite was the beet salad and the entraña meat. Also tried the empanadas and the butternut squash raviolis. I would like to highlight the quality of the ingredients they use. Great service and attention to detail. I truly recommend this place!

Stopped by for a quick lunch and was surprised by the quality of the food and drinks! Enjoyed the entrana quite a bit as well as the pisco sour cocktail, will be coming back to try the dinner menu for sure. I was the only one in there when I came so I got to talk with the staff a little bit, bar tender was friendly. My server Chelsey was attentive and delightful! First time trying Argentine food was a success, Bravo!

We came here for cocktails and appetizers on a Friday night and were not disappointed! The burrata and carpaccio were delicious. Our bartenders were very knowledgeable about the cocktails and wine list. The atmosphere was fantastic and the service from managers to food runners was impeccable. We will definitely be back for a full meal, thank you for a great evening

Excellent Argentine restaurant giving true Argentine foods that I couldn’t find anywhere else in Atlanta (provoleta, entraña, milanesa napolitana!). The setting is beautiful and they have an excellent wine selection. The service was very attentive and gave us great recommendations. Will definitely come back!

We started with a few small plates—the cauliflower, the chicken empanadas, the beef empanadas, and the burrata. The cauliflower and both types of empanadas were the standouts—super flavorful and perfectly cooked. For mains, we had the OJO steak, the chicken, the weekend gnocchi special, and the butternut squash ravioli. Everything was very good—you really can’t go wrong with any of the dishes. That said, the butternut squash ravioli was the favorite at the table—rich, comforting, and really well balanced. We also shared a bottle of their house red wine, which paired nicely with everything and was surprisingly good. For dessert, we tried the pancake and the chocolate mousse—just a couple of spoonfuls each to taste, and both were delicious. With the amount and quality of food (plus the wine), the price felt very reasonable. We’ll definitely be back again soon!

Stopped in just to check out the menu, ordered empanadas to go. The best spinach empanada I've had in years! I will be going back when I have time to sit down and eat.

We went to Belen with a large group last night. They were all ready for us with a lovely, big table upstairs. It was a delightful evening, all aspects were wonderfully cared for… service, appetizers, food and desserts! We shared a lot of dishes but I particularly I loved the cauliflower, the skirt steak ( succulent and perfectly cooked) and the ravioli. The strawberry dessert mountain ( sorry I forgot the name!) was outstanding! Thank you for a perfect evening!

This is a small local restaurant with an Argentinian flair. The menu is on the smaller side. There's very little seating on the first floor so if you can't navigate stairs, it's better to go someplace else. When we arrived the manager informed us that they were short staffed, and it could be a longer wait for service. They had a nice wine selection but the cocktails were pretty standard for Spanish cocktails, and we skip those. We started with the buffalo cauliflower, which was a good size portion. Our main entrees included the skirt steak, which was a good size portion. The chimichurri sauce on the side was a little different and not my favorite. We also ordered the butternut squash ravioli with the cream sauce. This was also a good size portion and flavorful. We also ordered the spinach ravioli with the pomodoro sauce. Both ravioli entrees included 12 ravioli. The ravioli pasta itself was not cooked enough to be al dente and a little too chewy. At 7:55pm, the server came by to pick up our plates and asked if we wanted dessert. And when we asked for a few minutes to revise, the kitchen was closing in 5 minutes. The website indicated the restaurant closes at 10pm and there was no sign on the door stating it was closing early or with business hours, stating otherwise. The server led us put in the dessert order, which included the lemon tart and pan queue dulce. The lemon tart was large enough to share and had a good meringue. Note that several items on the menu were sold out even though we arrived at 7 PM.

It’s a cute little restaurant in the square. Despite its size, the seating wasn’t cramped, which for me is a gigantic plus, no elbow bumping, etc. The food was good - the vegetable dishes were the best. We had Milanesa, empanadas, ravioli, carrots, and cauliflower. All good; empanadas were a touch oily. The cauliflower was a standout: the portion size was nice, so it was good to share, or if you are eating light, it could be a small entree. Service was very friendly, if a touch slow. Friendly is a winner for me. Would recommend.

We’ve tried many Argentine restaurants in the U.S., and this one is by far the best. Truly authentic, Moises, the manager was very attentive. Great food and service.

To start, my partner and I went here for Valentine’s Day and they had a wine dinner with a set menu. The service was really slow, but I understand the servers are very much at the mercy of the kitchens when it comes to events like that. Tables I saw that were not doing the set menu had their dishes sooner, so I think it was just the event and not the servers themselves. I also think this may have been their first Valentine’s Day event since the restaurant is pretty new. Our server (I think her name was Ally) was really nice too and made sure we were taken care of. The food was delicious and the wines paired with them were good choices. My steak was originally undercooked, but came back perfect. The chimichurri and empanadas were also delicious. The portions were also perfect sizes, so I left full but not uncomfortable. I would like to come back for a regular dinner and try out some of their other dishes.

Came here for my birthday. Low quality, dramatically overpriced and poorly cooked food; nice atmosphere (however not very Argentinian) and decent service. This should be obvious to any chef, but you shouldn't serve expensive (but again, poor quality) steaks on ripping hot cast irons because it continues to cook them after they're served. 1/3 of the way through my mid-rare ribeye, it was almost well-done. Aesthetic considerations are important but let's use more common sense, guys. I could have done better at home with clearance meat from Kroger.

S
Samantha Chap

The drinks and appetizers were very good. I ordered the chicken entree and it was dry and not flavorful at all. My friends said the steak was under seasoned as well.

N
Nigel Hoffmann

The food was fine and the server was nice but not very proficient. The server was extremely unfamiliar with the menu. They were not helpful in deciding between meals and just asked which one we wanted to try more. We were also brought the incorrect wine and although offered we foolishly accepted. The white sparkling wine did not go well with the steak and also sadly was not comped. For the price we hoped for a much better dinning experience. Although it has a nice atmosphere and decent food, I cannot justify going again.

As a proud South American I was happy to see an Argentinean restaurant and not another Latin fusion of sorts. Upon walking in, the restaurant is set up nicely and inviting. Simple and unpretentious yet sophisticated pleasant decor. Nice ambiance volume and very kind staff. We ordered a duo of empanadas, an entraña medium rare and a milanesa napolitana both with fries. To drink a caipirinha and rose. Complimentary bread with butter along with the empanadas and chimichurri came out first. The first thing I noticed is the containers for the chimi are not conducive to eat it. In traditional Argentinean restaurants they bring it a little bowl — some much larger bowls than others— with a spoon to pile it on. This was more like a small device to pour out, so the first thing that comes out is oil leaving all the herbs and good stuff behind which is hard to scrape out. The empanadas were pleasant otherwise. I’m a fan of the traditional baked ones and these were fried. However, they were tasty so good there. The caipirinha was well made and the rose was crisp and balanced. Both the entraña and milanesa came out with fries. The fries portion are small so if you’re very hungry maybe think of getting another side. I found my entraña to be properly cooked and very tender. However, very little chimi comes out. Fortunately, the waiter was very attentive and noticed I was out of it almost right away. He brought me more without asking which was very sweet — although that didn’t last me very long either. So why three stars ? The Milanesa was really unpleasant to eat. I mean very. It was in the napolitana option— but sadly the crust coating of the milanesa was a mushy soggy mess. The bottom of the milanesa was practically disintegrated entirely. Between the cheese and how soggy it all was it just cause this very unenjoyable texture. We bypassed dessert as we were a little put off by the milanesa. Asked for an espresso instead but they didn’t have the right coffee for espresso… The menu is concise and well balanced, all the more reason to ensure all items are executed well. I know the restaurant is new so hopefully it will be working out its kinks soon, as Atlanta desperately needs more Latin American food options besides tacos.

It is a shame that such a beautiful restaurant delivered an underwhelming and disappointing experience. The only thing we liked was the Argentinian Malbec and the music. Having tried Belen’s empanadas before (we live close to one of her locations), it was a no-brainer for us to try her Bistro in Decatur. The menu looked promising. However, it was very disappointing and underwhelming. We ordered: empanadas, choripán and milanesa sandwich. The empanadas were fried and the ones we’ve tried at Belen de la Cruz have been always baked, so it was a surprise to see the ones at the bistro were fried. The plates where they came had oil which was not pleasant. Then the choripan was tasteless, Argentinian chorizo is very flavorful, but this one was not, it tasted like fake meat and the milanesa didn’t have any flavor either and it was smothered in balsamic glaze which made it sweet. The fries that came with the choripan and the sandwich were not hot enough, bland and not crispy. It was really disappointing, because we love Argentinian food. We didn’t even had the courage to try the dessert, didn’t want to be more disappointed. And the service was a bit slow, especially considering the restaurant was not busy at all. I don’t think I’ll go back. It was also overpriced for the quality of food we got.

mariana frech

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. They barely have anything from the menu. The customer service is terrible and slow. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. After asking if I could come in with my service dog and them telling me ‘YES,’ and after I had already ordered and they had served the food, they then came to tell me that I had to leave because of my dog??? I was about to eat and they had already confirmed I could bring her in. I honestly didn’t understand anything. And the person who told me yes completely denied ever saying it, and when I asked to see the cameras, they denied it again. Everything was awful 🤢
