Stopped in for a couple happy hour drinks and appetizers. I was not only pleased with the prices, but the drinks were great as well. I don’t remember the exact name, something “Horse” with bourbon. The staff was attentive and friendly.
I had the BEST experience at PF Chang’s thanks to our amazing server, Nick S.! He was absolutely spectacular—friendly, attentive, and full of personality. He made sure we loved our food, kept our drinks full the entire time, and made the whole dinner feel special. The food came out quickly, was hot and delicious, and the service was top-notch from start to finish. Nick truly went above and beyond—I’ll definitely be asking for him next time!
Our Server Raule was polite ,attentive and curtious. Anticipated our needs and asked if there was anything we needed before leaving our tableside. The food was excellent. We did special lunch menu with options for appetizers, options for base along with selections of entree choices. Raule was kind enough to mix sauces for us with his delicate touch. A great dining experience 👌 👏.
The hostess greeted us with attentiveness and great personality. Our server Josh was amazing, timing, and tempo was on point, and he was very charismatic. The ambiance , and atmosphere was very welcoming . The MOD Cody, was very accommodating, and hospitable.Overall, this experience at a different P.F. Changs was amazing. Food, presentation, and service is A1.
Had a wonderful dining experience at PF Chang's! The food was delicious and fresh, but what really made our visit special was our server, Remy. She was attentive, friendly, and made excellent recommendations from the menu. She checked on us regularly without being intrusive and made sure everything was to our liking. The kind of service that makes you want to come back. Definitely recommend asking for Remy's section if you go!
My friends and I were up there for a little friend vacation! Had a lovely server named Alyssa, she was absolutely amazing! Knew the menu and really helped us decide what we wanted! Loved her and I know when we come back we will be asking for her! Amazing stop for a great bite to eat!
We love the food at P.F. Chang’s, and today was exceptional, with a special “shout” out to John H at the La Jolla restaurant. His service was beyond exceptional. He greeted us warmly when we arrived. I requested a table outdoors, and he went to clean it first. He was prompt in taking our order, yet never rushed us. During our meal, he checked on us twice. During the time we were there he was also the bartender. We cannot say enough words of praise about him. I hope his value to P.F. Chang’s is noted and rewarded. Thank you John!!
The food was good, but what really made the experience special was the service. Nicholas, our waiter, was absolutely amazing — friendly, attentive, and professional. He made great recommendations and made us feel truly welcome. It’s rare to get such thoughtful service. I’ll definitely come back!
Mongolian beef and lettuce wraps are insane, elicianna did a great job and helped us get signed up for the loyalty program!
I have been to several PF changs location and this one by far is the best in San Diego. The service was truly superb! Our server - I belive her name was Marissa or Narissa - she went above and beyond to make sure my family (including 2 year old toddler) had the best time. Would definitely recommend
Had a great dinner Sunday night. Margaritas and lettuce wraps and orange chicken were yummy - as always. Our server Jade made the whole evening fun.
In our opinion, Maria at La Jolla is our best server, we'll come back and ask for her 👍👍👍
Our server Nick S. Was attentive, Observant, kind, thoughtful, friendly, and when he smiled, I could tell it was genuine. If I go back there, I will ask if he is working then ask for his table. He was also genuine. Nick S. Thank you.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at PF Chang’s, and Maria, our waitress, made the experience truly exceptional! From the moment we sat down, she greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. Maria was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and offered excellent recommendations that turned out to be delicious. She had a friendly demeanor and ensured our drinks were always refilled and our table was spotless. Her positive attitude and attention to detail elevated our evening. Thank you to Maria and the other members of the team for giving us a memorable dining experience.
Had a relaxing, delicious dinner with my family. Kieran served us with excellence. ^-^
Had lunch with my sons and daughter-in law. Great day beautiful day sitting out a idea. I started off eith a glass of wine. Very enjoyable We each ordered something different t ent. I JUST REALLY ENJOY THE BEEF AND BROCCOLI. &BROWN RICE. Our server Alex was excellent friendly, well groomed polite. The restaurant wasn't overcrowded so there wasn't the drama of noise people around us. It was a very pleasant warm day. Perfect place for outdoor seating.Iarrived early and got a disabled parking spot. One of 5 places. Parking is kinda shared with the Embassy Hotel next door. Changs has valet parking and there is a pa r king structure close by plus street parking. The staff is absolutely friendly and helpful. Restrooms are kept very clean. If disabled you will find this place friendly to those with disabilities. Right off of LaJolla Village Dr. Easy to locate Good tasty food, Excellent service ample parking. OH YES don't forget to order we r one of their desserts. I ordered the Great Wall cho c olate cake. Large portion. I ordered this dessert in a to go container. Eat a few bites a n d take the rest home. I'm enjoying cake and coffee in the evening at home!! ITS A GREAT LIFE ENJOY LIFE'S LITYLE PLEASURES ... P.F.CHANGS!!
I went there yesterday and Jade was the bartender. She is super friendly and definitely knows how to deliver attentive service, and made excellent drinks too! I have worked in the restaurant industry for 20 years and I know a professional when I interact with one.
Today is my Birthday and my parents and I came here for the first time.. we sat in the corner booth and the gentleman Preston serving our table was great! He was very accommodating to my food restrictions and went out of his was to make sure I knew what items I could have that were gluten free and dairy free. The food was fantastic. I had both the Chicken Pad Thai and the Chicken lettuce wraps. I must say I will most definitely go back for the great food and fantastic service that was provided. ^.=.^ Thanks a bunch! Lesley R.
The P.F. Chang’s in La Jolla always has amazing customer service, a welcoming atmosphere, and very clean. The food is always delicious and they are very cautious with allergies.
Jade your bartender is awesome! Give her a raise!! She saved the day from a bartender who we asked “what would recommend for bbque pork” and responded, “I am a vegan”, which I respect, but you could respond with since you work in a restaurant business with, “ I haven’t tried it yet, but I heard this is good…” What happened to the traditional Restaurants where their servers and bartenders have tried all foods and could provide suggestions?
Absolutely phenomenal service from Chu at P.F. Chang’s! If you’re lucky enough to sit at the bar when Chu is working, you’re in for a treat. His drinks are crafted with precision, creativity, and that extra touch of flair that makes you feel like you’re at a five-star cocktail lounge. But what really sets Chu apart is his personality — warm, engaging, and genuinely passionate about making every guest feel welcome. Whether you want the perfect recommendation, a drink tailored exactly to your taste, or just a great conversation, Chu delivers every time. He’s the kind of bartender who remembers your name, your favorite drink, and makes you feel like family. P.F. Chang’s is already a great place, but Chu takes it to the next level. If you’re visiting, do yourself a favor and ask for Chu at the bar — you won’t regret it.
Jade our server was excellent. She arrived promptly, was familiar with the menu, brought samples of signature drinks which helped me decide what to order, and brought us our tab right away when we were ready to go. 5 star service!
Jade was extremely nice helping us throughout the evening and answering every question I had it was a very important night for me and my youngest daughter hanging out on a staycation. She helped my daughter with her crystal ball drink from the freaky Friday menu she always kept our waters full. She was also very courteous. She’s an excellent server and very attentive. Servers like her are the reason people tip and continue to go back to restaurants.
We had Jade as our server and we went in because we were staying at the Embassy Suites. After a busy day of travel it was the easiest option. WE HAD THE BEST SERVICE! We went in with our family and 2 of us have gluten allergies. The menu was accommodating but also the manager came (on his own without being asked) and made sure we knew what had gluten and what didn't. Our server was so helpful and sweet the entire staff was incredible, the food was so good. I cannot say enough positive things about this PF Changs. They got it out of the park with quality and service. So impressed!
Back over to the US for a visit. Loved P.F.Chang's when I lived here xx years ago - first time I've seen a restaurant however. Utterly delicious food, polite and engaging staff, and lovely layout. Suitable for everything from a 'date night' down to being good for kids. Menu is lovely - there is a children's menu with some excellent options too. Main menu caters for pretty much all needs, with a lot of veggie options for mains. Starters cost on average $6, mains roughly €15-€20.
Our server Brian was fantastic and gave us amazing recommendations!! He’s a sweet heart!
Bry was our server, and she was amazing! Very cheerful and super attentive to all the requests we had!
Great time! My wife and I stopped in to hit the amazing happy hour. Our bartender, Jade, did a wonderful job taking care of us. The food is always so good here.
We just celebrated our daughter's birthday and the service was really great!!! Our Server Nicolas R. made extra sure that we had everything and even went above and beyond with getting the food out hot and fast. This establishment needs more hard workers like Mr. Nicolas and the hostess that seated us Alicia. Thank you PF Chang for ensuring that our daughter's birthday celebration was a major success.
PF Chang is not very authentic Chinese food but I believe it meets more people’s tastes in US. For me, I’m okay with that too. Today I ordered the wonton soup and Buddha’s feast which I was very satisfied with both. The only thing is what my husband ordered - the dumplings taste weird to me because they are lobster dumplings with miso butter. We never put butter with dumplings so it’s very strange to me, but my husband enjoyed it very much. He also enjoyed his dragon roll. We will come back, especially I wanna try their ma po tofu next time.
Nick was so sweet! He was very professional and took good care of us and helped us have a wonderful birthday celebration. Nick is the best!
Great first time experience! Loved the food! The recommendations our server Carlos gave us were all delicious. The drinks Carlos made for us were even better! 🍸The “ Winter in Beijing” cocktail melted sweet butter down my throat and the “Rising Dragon” was killer too! Thanks for the great recommendations Carlos! Will def be back again. Thhe cheese
Our server was Maria, she was so sweet and helpful! She was attentive and made sure my friends and I were having a good time. One of the best service workers I’ve ever encountered. She recommended the peach boba freeze and it was so tasty!! Fruity and refreshing for these upcoming summer days.
We had most amazing experience! Astrid and her team made our birthday dinner extra special. The food was delicious like it always is and we were were able to celebrate into the most special way because of the team here. Thank you, PF changes for a wonderful dinner experience!!
Just ate there after seeing a play at local La Jolla play house. Show called Heart. The show was amazing. Was very impressed with restaurant , the price of the lunch special after three was just right. For two two people $42. Portions were perfect. The taste amazing. Nick S. The server was big ten plus.you. You could tell he enjoyed working there. He never missed a beat serving us.
If you are going to P.F. Chang’s, make sure you go to the La Jolla UTC location and ask for Nick S. for your server. Nick S. did an amazing job serving us. He was so attentive annd friendly and made our evening so special. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We will only be coming to this location. Bravo P.F. Chang’s La Jolla UTC!!
We had a great experience with our server, JOJO. She was friendly, attentive, and had a great sense of style:) Even though we were a big group and she was handling other tables as well, she checked in on us often and made sure our drinks were always full. When it was time to leave, we had plenty of leftovers, and JOJO took care of packing everything up so it was ready to go. She made the entire experience feel easy and enjoyable, and her positive attitude really stood out! We also want to mention that the manager was very nice and professional, which added to the overall positive experience. 5 out of 5 service!
This restaurant is located right across from the Embassy Suites Hotel< and thus is very convenient for hotel guests. As with most PF Chang's locations, the food is decent in terms of portions and quality. I always love their varied gluten-free options. I had no problem finding a table on a Wednesday night. Service was rather slow but not too bad. Overall, I had a great experience and would visit again.
Amazing service thank you Cody!! Celebrated my friends birthday and we got a delicious warm vanilla ice cream butter cake! Would come back again! Happy birthday Andrey!
Perfectly lovely. I can't believe this place is still going strong. I hadn't been in here for 15 years .. but it's just like I remember , but with some fresh new recipes. We had a nice quiet unrushed dinner and drinks. Crispy green beans surprised us. Mongolian beef as perfect as always.
Kaley was the best server ever!! Great attitude and an awesome sense of humor and personality. It is servers like her that keep customers coming back!! The manager was super friendly and welcoming and even came back twice to make sure we had everything we needed. Awesome experience!!
BEST PF CHANG’S MEAL EVER!!! Seriously. New lobster dumplings heavenly delicious w/ perfect fresh sauce. “Half-sized” split appetizers generously sized, fresh & wonderful. New butter cake w/ generous vanilla ice cream— to die for. Hot & sour soup hot & full of veggies. Salad fresh & tasty. Server Brian excellent & attentive, as was manager.
Happy hour at PF Chang’s, enjoyed drinks + many appetizers and the full order of orange chicken (so good!). Sat at the bar and had unbelievable service and attention from Jade and Annabelle—observed Jade making a piña colada and had to order one as a dessert drink (they use ice cream in these drinks!) Will be back for another happy hour/bar visit soon. Great experience and fantastic bar service.
Lunch specials rock here. The food is good, the service is great, and the portions are huge. We definitely enjoyed our visit. Lunch at PF Changs in La Jolla California Friday 5/9/25 at 1:26pm. Auntie had Mongolian pork Lo Mein & a Pork Egg Roll (super flavorful) $15.99. The Wasabi sauce that came with the pork egg roll really clears your sinuses. K had Beef & Broccoli Lo Mein & a salad (she liked it, and I ate the salad. It was tasty) $15.99. I had the Orange Chicken Lo Mein (it could have used more sauce, but otherwise tasty) & Egg Drop Soup $14.99. K got dessert Chocolate Peanut Butter Cream Pie $6.29. Our check came out to $43.00. I didn't see what Ks check came out to. Everything minus dessert was on the lunch special.
Excellent food! Lettuce wraps are a must, and the dynamite shrimp are a fav. Fried rice is addicting. The pad thai is solid. It comes with fried tofu, even if you order chicken, which tastes fine - it's a texture thing with me. But they will accommodate to sub chicken for tofu. Service was super. The people very nice. Parking wasn't my favorite. Their lot fits about 5 cars, and others were making up their own spots.
What a wonderful experience. I'm so glad we stopped here for Lunch. We had the Lettuce Wraps, Crispy Honey Shrimp and Orange Chicken. All excellent. Our server Bree was outstanding and was on top of everything we needed. So refreshing to have great food and excellent service! Thank you!

Great place! The food was delicious and reasonable portions.
We ordered take out from the Embassy Suites. After a long day of exploring and shopping in Old Town San Diego wanted something delicious. The fried rice and egg rolls were done well, but for the kids orange chicken with the orange sauce on the side instead of on the chicken. It exposed how dry and over fried the chicken is. Not appetizing. Especially with only a few pieces of chicken.
Heard some great things about this restaurant, and I knew that I had to give it a try. I must say that besides the wide selection of menu items, the service was spectacular! Maria was very tentative and made sure my wife and I enjoyed a nice dinner. Would definitely come back :)
I came to dine for the first time at this establishment! My daughter and I went up to the reception, the employees were talking to each other, not paying attention to us! then we were still taken to a table in the corner, but I kindly asked us for a table by the window, the worker was not happy but still took us to this table, then she brought us a smelly, wet rag, wiped the table for us and threw us a menu, it was terrible because The establishment is not cheap and positions itself as high quality! The food was delicious, apparently they were lucky with the cook, but now I really don’t trust them after such service!
The restaurant is at a great location just opposite Westfield UTC. The service is really great, the food is also delicious. We ordered Hot and Sour chicken soup, it was alright. For the main course ordered P.F Chang's spicy chicken with Chicken lo mein noodles. The main course was good, the quantity was good for 2 people. We also ordered Singapore street noodles. It was good and savory. Their in-house ginger beer is amazing, if you like ginger flavour do try this. For dessert, we ordered The great wall of Chocolate, which came with fruits and fruit sauce.
I love Chinese Cuisine a lot and this restaurant serves a number of fine varieties.. Authentic taste of the food would drag you there again.. To look from outside it seemed to be a calm fine dining restaurant.. But actually, it’s no so.. It is in a bar set up.. The place will be agile.. But I promise, the food is great.. Better reserve a table and go.. It would be a long wait time, if you just drop in.. It was hard for us to find out the parking.. Space is limited and instructions are confusing.. Food Suggestions Singapore Chicken Sweet n Spicy Prawns Street Noodles Melon Walnut Prawns
Located right next to the Embassy Suites, this PF Chang's is a nice spot for a large group. The service is good and they're fully staffed, so you shouldn't have trouble getting someone's attention. The food is lacking in the taste department, but the drinks are good. My lunch bowl looked good, but the flavors were somewhat off. Your mileage may vary since their cooks rotate.
The music was too loud, more suitable for a disco vs a dinner. The manager, Natalie sat us on the patio and made us comfortable despite the cold weather and kept checking on us. On a previous occasion we visited she was also very helpful and made sure our soups were warmed up. In general the food and soups are not as hot as we would like but we still go back bc we like the food and the great service. Thank you!
What made PFChangs extra extra special and I have literally going there for decades was the extraordinary serves of a young server named Kieran. The services of Kieran were amazing, there were some elder people hard of hearing etc, it never phased him , he was patient polite informative respectful and consistently checking up on us. Kieran checked all the boxes and PF Changs were exceptionally represented by Kieran’s attention and Kieran deservedly need to be recognized
Had a nice dinner here, went there twice this week. First time had the Kung pow chicken, which I thought was good. They do a really good job at mix cocktails had an old-fashioned, which was very good, second time I had the chicken appetizer wrapped in lettuce sleeves this was excellent. I would definitely recommend reservations if you are dining here.
Ordered online for take out, the dynamite shrimp appetizer was about $18 and came with 6 tiny shrimps.\n\nIt tasted good but I just couldn't get over the $3 per shrimp .. Lol
I don't present my self as an expert on Asian food, but similar to many other Yelpers, I know what I like !\n\nAnd I like PF Chang's chicken Lettuce Wrap with Iceberg Lettuce ($16.59). Yes, the pri…
Service was excellent and the food was very good. Had a nice dinner with great atmosphere. I would go back to this location without hesitation.
Very good meal. service was good and quick. Fast turn around. Prices are very reasonable. More crowded on the weekends and in the evening.

This is a nice P.F. Chang’s (compared to the one in Thousand Oaks). Bar was clean and the bartenders were nice. P.F. Chang’s Mai Tai are a little odd. Not your typical Mai Tai and we cannot figur…
It's just not how I remember it. We came here an hour before closing and the food was okay. The soup was not hot and the famous lettuce wrap was just not as good as I remembered. The lettuce was fresh and crisp but the meat was just boring. I liked the sides the best; rice was super nice (thank GOD), lettuce, crispy white stringy thingies, and the sauce plate with the most flavorful thing on the table: the yellow horseradish sauce. We also ordered the coconut shrimp stir fry plate and it was like something from a frozen bag but guess what? I ate it and I liked it. The server was also super kind and hospitable, which is a requirement when serving this caliber of food. It's kinda depressing here. If you were looking to go to a place where nobody would recognize you or have a seedy meeting or take your mistress to ... This is the place.
Good food, decent customer service, a bit slow in service but pleasant servers. The food at PF Changs is very predictable and standard (not in a bad way. You know exactly the quality of the food). This place is very nice with nice views of the City. Please note they validate parking for the parking structure.
Lettuce wraps with chicken and butternut squash with dumplings are excellent Very delayed service. Noodles are somewhat hard, may be not cooked enough.
I remember when. P.F Chang's was the most poppin place in town with a lot of energy, fun music and an attractive crowd. We used to go here for happy hour and have a really great time. I hadn't been here for a while but one thing I noticed was it seemed very dirty. I sat at the bar and noticed that there were fingerprints and grime not only on the bar counter, but the stainless steel throughout the bar area was gross. Also, the windows in the restaurant were filthy and smeary. Bar staff was somewhat attentive and moved very slowly. They seem to find chit chatting a little more important than top notch service. BTW, I had to ask for everything including sauces, napkins, and silverware. Nothing was set up for us before our meals arrived. We also never got a fortune cookie so maybe they don't do those anymore. I'm sad to see the degradation of this restaurant and I won't be going back.
Rather than a 3 or a 4, I would rate this location a 3.5. The egg rolls are the best I've ever had, twice I've had the honey chicken, and the orange chicken, both the dinner specials with fried rice, which was also exceptional. The reason for the low rating, I had to go orders for each meal, I get back to the hotel and I noticed I had no silverware, which if you're staying in a hotel, you may not have ready access to silverware, so I had to go all the way back down to the lobby and request silverware to eat my food. Second reason for the lower rating, the dinner special fried rice serving portion was really small, even for a so called dinner special, so for the price, I do feel that the servings should have been slightly more. Again, the food itself was really excellent, but a few details made the score lower. Perhaps asking customers if they require silverware would be a good option, as to go items typically have what you need with the order.
First time here after hearing so much about it, but sad to say the food did not live up to expectations. The service was great, as well as the atmosphere. They have fun themed drinks for Freakier Friday however the food was rather bland. To start, we got the Dynamite shrimp which came with this fun textured puffed rice and the Rising Dragon Margarita. Those were by far my favorite things we got. For the entrees, we got the Crispy Honey Chicken & Mongolian Beef with fried rice. The chicken and rice weren't very flavorful, and the beef was kind of salty. A bit disappointing. Lastly, we got the key lime pie to share for dessert but were surprised by how small it is for the price! Overall food was a 3/5 and we most likely will not be returning.
It was ok. Great service but food was ok. Good lunch specials. Great ambiance/atmosphere.

I love PF Chang. I travel weekly PF Chang is great place for good quality affordable price N healthy meal. However a bit disappointed here. Beef & Broccoli is always my favorite However. THE Broccoli was not cooked and cold. Barely any sauce on the meat. It was good at all. From the reviews I hope management fixes the issues before it's to late.
I understand now why PF Chang's there is not that many of them out there The one where I live is pretty good always exceeds my expectations unfortunately this location does not from management a ship is best judged by the manager or the captain well the captain that I met today couldn't even handle a small little issue My suggestion go somewhere else there's no need to say anything else I get that people have bad days but the things that I noticed not good I don't want to talk about food inspector needing to show up and I also don't want to mention about portion sizes the list is far and long almost as big as an aircraft carrier San Diego PF Chang's well I can understand again why the chain hasn't done so well
La Jolla location I can't believe how much the quality of the food went down. The shrimp were barely an inch wide and nothing we ordered tasted remotely decent. ANY frozen box dinner would have tasted better than what was served. I'm not going to list what we ordered but it was basically their biggest hits. Even the lettuce chicken tacos were horrible. The service and establishment itself however was on point as expected. Dessert was good too but nobody goes to Changs for dessert. Supper sad
Before they changed recipes, especially the lettuce wraps, Changs was where my family would go to celebrate birthdays. Since the change we haven't been back. The sauce in the wraps took on a perfumey taste. If it isn't broke don't fix it. They WERE amazing. So now we go elsewhere.
We had the lunch special that started at $14.99. I ordered the veggie spring roll and Mongolian beef with white rice. My husband had the veggie spring roll with the sesame chicken. I didn't like the spring roll. The cabbage tastes weird. The Mongolian beef was just OK; it's too sweet for me. They also gave very little amount for rice. My husband likes his sesame chicken. Overall, I would not get the lunch special again.

Severely disappointed. This place was amazing 5 years ago but now the food is completely inedible. Tastes like literal garbage and I feel like it made me sick.
Just finished a meal at La Jolla village. The restaurant was half empty yet we had to wait to be seated. The food was pathetic. The buddhas feast was as if the frozen vegetables were boiled to death. They were like paste. The lo mein was no better. The garlic hreen beans were decent. My fav was steamed rice !!!!!
My girl and I ordered take out for our first time ever having PF Changs and it was the worst food we’ve ever had… I ordered honey shrimp and noodles and the shrimp was mushy and a watery like texture and the noodles felt almost stale had no flavor. I ordered crab wontons as an appetizer like I always do at every Asian/Chinese restaurant and these were disgusting, had a very dry texture like if it was old and been sitting for a long time. Right off the bat the presentation looked unappealing because the wontons are supposed to be creamy, the crab almost looks like it had a tuna like texture. I knew it was too good to be true from the beginning when the take out ready time was only 10 minutes. Never going here ever again.
We had dinner at PG Chang's on September 23rd and had a party of 4. It was the most dismal Chinese food we've ever had. Panda Express is still the better option. When people go out to eat, it's not pleasant to be disappointed and pay for it. Your management is responsible for fixing this.
Just kinda gross. Ordered the Korean fried chicken on the bone with dipping sauce. It came with unlabeled squeeze bottles of what tasted like sauces they just put on other things, none tasted good for chicken. Biting into the chicken itself was a nightmare. None of the three large pieces were identifiable parts of a chicken like you would get in a KFC bucket. It looked like someone took a cleaver to a chicken blindfolded. Over half of it was completely inedible fried gristle (the picture is what was LEFT. If I wasn’t at a big family dinner I would have refused to pay for it. The other food at the table was pretty mediocre. The carelessness of the pan-Asian decorations is laughable. In one picture I managed to capture a crappy, fake bonsai tree, a Thai Buddha head, a Chinese Taoist gong and two paintings designed by someone with no knowledge of the Japanese language using a translator app lazily (the “way of the Samurai isn’t 侍の道 it’s 武士道). Service was fine. The very existence of this restaurant is an affront to good taste, in both senses. I could only imagine going there if you were staying at the hotel next door. But even if you are, go somewhere else. If you want crappy Chinese food, save some money and door dash Panda Express.
My family and I are regular customers of PF Chang's, enjoying both dine-in and takeout experiences across various locations. However, our recent visit to the La Jolla Village, San Diego restaurant was unfortunately a significant letdown. We ordered our usual dishes: shrimp fried rice, honey chicken, and kids' orange chicken with fried rice. While my family's meals arrived without issue, the shrimp fried rice I received was concerning. The rice grains were excessively hard and dry, almost as if they were undercooked. When we brought this to the attention of our server, they promptly offered to remake the dish. However, the second serving was equally problematic, appearing excessively wet and soupy, almost as if it had been washed. Upon informing our server about this issue, we were told that both orders of rice were from the same batch. This seemed unlikely given that my family's rice was cooked correctly. The manager offered to remake the dish again, but at that point, our appetite had been completely diminished. We were disappointed with this experience, especially considering our consistent patronage of PF Chang's. We hope this feedback is taken seriously to improve the quality and consistency of your food preparation.
We got to our hotel next door pretty late, and after traveling we wanted a cocktail and a snack. We got to the restaurant around 10 because it said they close at 11. We sat at the bar to get some quick service. The bar, chairs and menus all needed to be wiped down. Everything was dirty. The bartender did not give us water and we had to ask multiple times. The food did come out quickly, and was tasty but the service was not great. There were only 2 tables with people and we were the only ones at the bar. I get that it was late and people wanted to go home, but they still had an hour before closing. It’s disappointing because I remember PF Changs being more attentive, but possibly it’s a management issue
I was honestly really disappointed in this location. I used to go to P.F Chang’s all the time growing up and it was a classy affair with the best Chinese food. We experienced far from this tonight. The service was extremely slow, and although staff were nice, they weren’t really attentive or doing what is typically expected at sit-down restaurants. We asked for water several times (to two different people) and only received a water refill when we asked for the check. The kitchen also brought out all our food at once (two appetizers and two entrees) and it really cluttered our tiny table. It’s typical etiquette for restaurants to bring out the appetizers first and then entrees instead of bringing everything out all at once. The cocktails we ordered came 15 minutes after all our food came out, which is in completely the wrong order and upsetting. I ordered the orange chicken entree, same exact entree as my husband, and I only received half the chicken he did. I felt so jipped and I was frustrated at their disproportionate portions. Overall, we felt ignored and not in a nice sit-down restaurant.
