I went to dinner here last night and it was really fun. I had the mojo chicken chop and the special app which was bruscetta with burrata. They make their own Balsamic glaze its wonderful. The manager Drew was so attentive to us and also the assistant Mgr Steven. We sat at a booth in the bar and both bartenders took great care of us. The environment was relaxed and casual. They both made us laugh. Food The chicken alone was delicious then dipping it in their homemade chimmichuri sauce was like wow in your mouth. I loved the bruscetta and my family had lobster bisque, encrusted halibut and the dinner special veal bolganaise. I tried both their entrees and they both were good. I don't eat veal or fish but if I did like the flavors. The paperdale pasta was perfect. My martinis were excellent. I had the strawberry basil martini and with dessert the chocolate dream. For dessert we tried the flourless chocolate cake. It was like fudge and the homemade Whipped cream so soft. If you're looking for good food and a very happy staff that keeps things light, then this place is worth trying out.
Large. Interesting menu. Very attentive and helpful staff.
The food was excellent. Loved my pecan crusted trout and my sisters mahi looked awsome. Wedge salads are large and delicious. My husband got chefs burger which he loved. Brad was our server, everything went well timed and he was very cordial and helpful. The only miss was forgetting my cake 🎂 😉 it was ok. I guess I didn't need it anyway! We loved everything and would definitely recommend. Be back again for sure.
Outstanding ambiance with delicious food and wonderful service - not to mention ample portions. The quinoa salad with salmon was outstanding. They close at 2:30 pm then open again for dinner; however, if you arrive before 2:30 and order, you can stay as long as you want.
Really liked the food! Was worth the wait…like everyone else they are understaffed, but pulled it off and brought us really flavorful food and big portions!
I made my friend a 75th birthday and it was great!! Food was delicious and our server Patti was fantastic!!! Cindy the Manager was wonderful and so easy to work with!! Would definitely come back to Henry's!!
Went around 5pm, a little bit early but had their early bird menu....surprised. Good service, and good quality food. Will be back.
First time at Henry's. Loved it! The pot roast is my new favorite dish. There's the proof! 🙃 Great service too!
Henry’s- Came to Henry’s for the first time to celebrate my husband’s birthday. From the moment we entered we were impressed with the clean, open decor and the very welcoming manager, Cindy. We requested a booth, which we received in Hannah’s section. Her service was superb and the food was outrageously good. It was definitely a birthday to remember, thanks to the staff. We will be returning for other special occasions! Thanks, Cindy and Hannah (and Chef) for a night to remember. Update for Chez Henry’s: Overall, it was a rushed experience, despite the fact that I requested to have time between courses. It wasn’t like there was a line waiting; there were three other tables. It took longer to get drinks than the food. The pea soup was delicious. I had the Thanksgiving special, which was not so good. There was no stuffing, just mashed and sweet potatoes. I expected sliced fresh turkey; instead, it was turkey roast sliced very thickly. It was the same type turkey I threw away last Thanksgiving because it didn’t taste like turkey. Service by Tim K. was good, but the kitchen was over zealous in bringing out the food so fast. What was supposed to be a leisurely birthday dinner turned out to be a food race. And it wasn’t just me, as I saw others get their food within a minute of ordering. Varied menu, service and a full bar were definite positives.
We had the worst experience last night! Soup was cold, I had the duck which was dry, my husband had the meatloaf which was uneatable, the spinach Maria was dry like wood. We had a manager come over who offered my husband another meal or a free dessert. He denied the meal because everyone else was almost done eating. When we came in he ordered a slice of cake for my birthday which never appeared. The server was rude and was shaking her head when she walked away. We used to eat there with the prior owners but never again! The free dessert, we were charged for!!! Unacceptable experience. This restaurant is being run by 20 somethings that don't know what to do.
The food is always consistent and it’s always very good. They give you large portions and atmosphere is wonderful. The waitresses and waiters are always hospitable and they can’t do enough for you.
Last Thursday, I had the most pleasant lunch at Henry’s. I walked in at noon, and as soon as I entered, I was greeted by Cindy at the front. Cindy has worked there for years and is always so kind and welcoming, making the start of my visit delightful. I always request Denise as our server since her service is exceptional, so we dined in her section. I had the salmon burger and my mother had the sesame seared tuna. Both dishes were beautifully presented and tasted amazing. As expected, Denise was great like always. She provided attentive and friendly service, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Denise has a warm and personable manner that makes us feel right at home, adding a personal touch to an already wonderful dining experience. Overall, it was another fantastic visit to Henry’s, thanks to the incredible food and outstanding service.
We went to Henry’s for a party . We were 20 people . We ordered lots of lunch items including mediterranean salad , mahi mahi tacos , roasted vegetable salad , chicken salad sandwich and split pea soup . We were all very satisfied with our meal choices and will definitely return ! Our servers were Cherie and Jason, and they brought the food out quickly and were super friendly . Fyi - they are renovating soon ( although I thought the inside was pretty , as is ,)
My friend and I went for the first Seder night. Our expectations were vastly exceeded by the quality of the delicious food plus the ambiance. We chatted amongst neighboring tables. It was memorable and wonderful. Thank you.
Calamari is done differently from other places...its just fantastic. Duck confit is very good. Good attention to service. Could use some refurbishing as its kind of run down looking. Ive eaten there several times and not had a bad meal. Its the old "Fifth Ave Grill" on US1 replacement. Same clientele.
Loved having lunch at Henry's! There's nothing like having a Spinach Goat Cheese Sandwich & a Jalepeno Margarita to wash it down! My fiance and I tried this place for the 1st time, and we will definitely be back :-) It was such a laid-back, relaxed, but still upscale environment & I loved it! So excited to come back again. Thanks, Denise, for the wonderful service!
What a lovely restaurant. We were looking for a place to rake my father for his birthday and found this on Google. We had no idea how great the service and food were. I highly recommend this place. They offer a variety of foods, and all we had was great. Our server was amazing and made our experience awesome. I highly recommend this awesome restaurant.
This has been our Go-To place for years. Since the new owners arrived, Service, Food and Atmosphere has Improved significantly! This is our favorite spot to go when we don't feel like cooking... Which is quite often!
Excellence at its best; Henry’s was such a great lunch pick for today. I enjoyed the company of my mother in such a beautiful restaurant with amazing food. I loved the Ceaser Salad with grilled chicken. This restaurant is top notch! Can’t wait to return.
Henry's is our most visited restaurant. The new owners are outstanding and go out of there way to make your meal a pleasure. The food has been upgraded and the staff is so accommodating. With the season underway its so nice to find a place that isn't a madhouse. We love it.
I was concerned about new owners but I have come several times and each time food was good. The group I was with enjoyed everything. I recommend it to others. Wait staff excellent.
Congratulations to the Anfray family for creating a refreshing new atmosphere in the new Chez Henry’s and adding new selections to their menu with some wonderful French flavor. I highly recommend coming in to meet the family and dine in their new and improved restaurant.
Henry’s has recently come under new ownership, now run by a talented family team—a father and son alongside the mother and daughter-in-law. Their passion and expertise shine through in the food, which is absolutely delicious. As an established institution that has seen a few ownership changes in recent years, Henry’s is making a fresh, remarkable impression under this new chapter. The staff are all so personable, warm and inviting.
It was my first time at the restaurant. John our waiter was very friendly, attentive, knowledgeable. He made us feel as if we were the only ones in the Restaurant...great service. I had the Walnut crusted salmon to die for! With Cinnamon sweet potatoes and Maria Spinach. John said I would love it and he was right. I had your house chardonnay that John said I would enjoy. Again he was right. Look forward to returning soon!
Food was excellent and our server, Lia, is the best! She was attentive, sweet and funny. We had a great evening and I look forward to my next visit! I will definitely request Lia again next time
My go-to dinner space with a specific couple I visit. We are always pleased. Food is delicious, service is attentive and appropriate (understanding of confidentiality when it comes to business meetings) and clean. Branzino and scallops are SO good!
I’ve been to Henrys several times. It was just OK. I enjoyed my meal and the atmosphere is always nice but this time today I ordered quiche. It must’ve been reheated 10 times. It was like eating burnt egg.
Excellent meal. Frank was so helpful and cheery. From the warm bread to the fresh fish and superb french onion soup. A great meal all the way around. Thank you.
Wonderful experience, food was amazing! Dessert was even better. Waitress was absolutely amazing, fast service and positive interactions with every customer.
Great meal, and they were very accommodating of my food restrictions. The Sous Chef even came out to check my restrictions and what I could eat to prepare my meal. I definitely recommend Chez Henry’s.
Went for a birthday lunch and thought the menu was great and had so many choices. We both had the quiche with a salad that was delicious. Our waiter Tim was wonderful.
Since Chez Henry's has a new owner it is truly a local gem. I've been there for dinner and lunch and the food is delicious. Last night all 4 of us ordered different entrees and we all thoroughly enjoyed our dinners. Highly recommend Chez Henry's.
Surely the best food I have had in Florida since I moved there. The dishes are very delicious and generous in portions. The steak frites dish was cooked to perfection, and the rest of my family enjoyed the food and desserts that were absolutely exquisite. Staff was lovely as well. Overall, I could only recommend to people to try Henry's, both for the food and the owners/staff whom we've met and were very passionate about what they do .
We've been to Henry's several times. This evening my daughter and I were there for the Prime Rib. As always, it was perfectly prepared. The wine list is incredible and service is flawless. I highly recommend Henry's! You will be glad you tried them, on repeat.
Great service, food was hit or miss with fantastic burger, yummy scallops, delicious deck confit but tasteless pecan trout.
First time dining here, what a pleasure to experience a perfectly seasoned meal where the flavors are allowed to shine through. I did not feel like I inhaled a whole bottle of salt and stick of butter. The burrata tomatoes appetizer was creamy, rich and fresh with a drizzle of good olive oil. It was served too cold but became the correct temperature as I ate so I could appreciate the flavor of the cheese. The mussels were plentiful and the wine sauce enhanced without overpowering. The fries were crisp, not greasy, perfect for dipping in the sauce. I wish there was another bread option besides the light brown bread which I find too sweet. My mother enjoyed it! The freshly brewed decaf was very robust and the house made chocolate mousse was a real mousse not a pudding, excellent texture. We enjoyed the lovely ambiance and I had a nice chat with Karin the owner. I look forward to trying more menu items soon.
Yum. Yum. Split pea soup as good as advertised. Wait staff super friendly. Definitely recommended.
Always a nice time here. The bar & bartender are amazing so we usually move from the bar to a table in the same area. The only downfall for us is that they’re very few vegetarian meals. If they served a vegetarian burger, we’d be there a lot more often.
We had been coming here for years. The food and service are consistently very good. basically comfort food. My wife tried the Turkey Meatloaf with Sage Gravy and Cranberry Relish, comes with a chose of 2 sides; Broccoli, French Fries, Vegetable of the Day, Jasmine Rice, Mashed Potatoes, Sautéed Spinach with Garlic and Oil, Sweet Mash, or Wild Rice. very good and she really enjoyed it. I opted for the Seared Sesame Tuna with Sesame Ginger Soy, Wasabi Cream, Served over Vegetable Fried Rice. Great choice, tuna was excellent and a large portion. For dessert, we ordered the Frozen Turtle Cake, coffee ice cream on a chocolate chip brownie with a Heath bar crunch on top. Also a very choice.
First time we have been here since it changed ownership several months ago. You wouldn't notice any difference, same menu and same staff. They have a summer special, order an entrée and you get a choice of soup or salad and a dessert for free. I started with the house salad, or you can have a Caesar salad. My wife ordered the soup du jour, chicken & corn chowder. Both were very good. For mains, my wife loves their Chicken Milano with butternut squash ravioli, spinach, and a maple Dijon mustard cream sauce. It was off the menu for a while. She took half of it home. I ordered the Bronzini a la Plancha with jasmine rice, house vegetables, and a very nice lemon pan sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed it. For dessert, you get a choice of key lime pie or carrot cake. We ordered 1 of each. Gratifying to see Henry's remain the standard that it has always been.
Use to dine in before Covid, but will occasionally order take now days. Veried menu with some Daily Specials. Consistent food quality. Especially like their Lamb Chops, my husband the Salmon.. been dining at this location since it originally opened..
Good lunch spot in Delray. Decent food and fast service.
Excellent wait staff. Attractive restaurant both indoors and outdoors. We especially like dining out of doors in the evening surrounded by exit landscaping. Dishes range from excellent to ho hum. Early bird dinners are good values in the 25 to $35 range, and drinks are half price then. Vegetables and salad served with the dinner were out of this world. We especially light the sweet potatoes sweet potatoes which were wonderfully presented and very tasteful
Nice place but friends did not like there trout and management refused to take meal of bill instead they only took off the cost of the fish ($15)which i never heard of before so friends still had to pay for the two sides that came with fish …
We had Christmas Eve dinner here. Our waiter was a young, unfocused guy who seemingly had no experience or training. The gentleman who brought our food out didn't smile or speak or even respond to "thank you." We all chose the prix fixe menu. The pea soup and crab cake were good. The fillet was bland and a bit tough. The sides tasted like microwaved frozen vegetables.
Our food was delicious. However we had an issue with fruit flies hovering over our food. One large insect crawled across our table. This place used to be packed then it changed hands in a sale. It was more than half empty so that’s not a good sign.
We recently ordered two take-out salads from Henry’s—a Mediterranean salad and a Cobb salad, both with added chicken. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The portion sizes were shockingly small, and the chicken (which was placed on the side) was barely enough for a toddler, let alone for a main entrée salad. The salads themselves were weak at best, lacking the substance and quality we expected. We haven’t ordered from Henry’s in a while, and I heard there’s new ownership. If this is their new standard, we’re very unimpressed. We were hoping for a satisfying meal but instead got something that felt skimpy and not worth the price. Definitely not the experience we were expecting.
I recently visited Henry’s in Delray Beach to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing due to a combination of poor service and subpar food. **Service**: From the moment we arrived, the service was lacking. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed and inattentive and completely rude. Despite being there for a special occasion, my mother-in-law was not offered any complimentary dessert, which was disappointing, especially when we noticed other tables celebrating similar occasions receiving special treatment. **Food**: The food further contributed to our dissatisfaction. 1. **Appetizers**: We started with the fried calamari, but what arrived was far from what we expected. It resembled small pieces of flat fried fish rather than calamari, and the portion was disappointingly small given the price. To top it all off, this was not squid. 2. **Salads**: My husband ordered a Caesar salad with shrimp for $24, which included only four pieces of shrimp. Considering that the shrimp alone cost $11, this felt exorbitant for the quantity served. 3. **Main Course**: I ordered the classic burger cooked medium rare with bacon and well-done fries. To my dismay, the burger was served cold, the fries were rubbery and also cold, and the bacon was nearly raw. When I requested a remake, the burger returned well done and still cut in half from when I initially cut it when I first received it, and my fries had simply been refried—something I believe no restaurant should do. It's standard practice to serve freshly prepared food, not reheat items that had already been served. I gave it back to the server and told them to take it off my bill. **Overall Impression**: The combination of unacceptable service, lackluster food quality, and a failure to acknowledge a special occasion led to a very disappointing experience. I hope the management takes these issues seriously, as they certainly detracted from what should have been a joyful celebration. I cannot recommend Henry’s based on this experience. Lastly, if your table has a minimum of 5 guests a 25% gratuity is automatically added to your check. Unfortunately, this is not noted anywhere on the menu or in the restaurant. We made the server take it off our bill as well as trying to charge me for a burger I didn’t even eat. People beware of this place. They will scam you. Check your bill when you get it.
I’m doing a review on one of your employees! I don’t know her name but she had on a Henry’s shirt( heavy set, longer brownish hair pulled back in a pony tail. She was very rude!! My 2 friends were sitting at the bar at Applebee’s when me & another friend surprised them, so I proceeded to sit in seat #3 & my friend was going to sit in seat #4 but it had a set of keys there which my friend thought someone had left them, but the bar tender said the “lady” had gone to the bathroom. My friend moved the keys to seat #5, seats 6,7,& 8 were vacant also. Well when the”lady” came back, she rudely grabbed the keys and says “ If I wanted to sit here I would have put my keys down there & she moved to the other side of the bar where no one was sitting she was joined my another Henry’s employee. This event turned all of us off to Henry’s! She was a bad example for your establishment.
I typically don’t leave negative reviews, but the service at Henry’s yesterday (August 25, 2025) was unacceptable. My mother had spoken so highly of this restaurant, and I was excited to try it for the first time. Unfortunately, the experience completely changed my perception and I will not be returning. While the host was warm and welcoming, our server in the bar area was shockingly rude and unprofessional. From the start, he ignored my mother’s polite request for very little ice in her cocktail due to health reasons. When reminded and suggested of what he could do he dismissively said, “this isn’t that kind of drink.” That is not how guests should be spoken to. When she asked for her French onion soup to be packed up immediately because she was in a rush, his response was, “I’m not going to put the tab in until you’re ready to leave,” which made no sense and was completely uncalled for. Later, when we asked for a plastic cup to take a drink to-go, he insisted the restaurant had “absolutely no plastic cups” yet our food came in plastic containers. Not to mention, my mother is currently in a wheelchair, unable to walk, and has been going through a difficult and depressive time. For a server to see her in that condition and still show such a dismissive and condescending attitude is absolutely disgusting and inhumane. The lack of professionalism and basic hospitality was so bad that my mother became hesitant to even make simple requests. No guest should ever feel uncomfortable or disrespected in an establishment of this caliber. The food itself was good, but no quality of food makes up for service this heartless. Considering the way my mother had praised Henry’s, it’s deeply disappointing to say I will never come back again unless this behavior is addressed immediately
