A hidden gem of Depew and it is one of my favorite place in buffalo for sushi! They have never disappoint me with all my orders. sushi are always fresh, their cook foods don’t have an old oil smell like other asian restaurants. my family of 4 always order sushi and sashimi for 3 that come with 2 special chef rolls. They allow me to substitute the chef rolls to 2 of my favorite rolls for an extra charge which i don’t mind one bit. I rather get a roll that i like versus something i don’t. everyone must try this 2 rolls, “out of this world“ and “sexy girlfriend “ Not sexy girl. trust me “sexy girl is a total different roll, it’s not bad but i don’t care for shrimp tempura lol.

Kept trying to get here but it’s always busy for dinner crowd . I decided that lunch would be the best start. Had (1 ) 2 roll lunch special that’s came w soup , edamame and 1 standard roll and. Special of the day called the Big Mama. Our server was incredibly friendly, the sushi came out quick, I liked the decor and I felt I paid a fair price for my lunch with my wife. I will return with the entire family or maybe just me for a lunch for sure.

This place is the best. The sushi menu has very interesting mixture of flavors and the raw fish is always very fresh and tender. my friends are not into raw fish so they can also enjoy Kumo's nice sushi with variety of cooked options. I've had many items of they're menu and non of them had let me down! the hot and sour soup is good too.

Amazing dining experience for our party. I highly recommend the Angry Dragon Roll. Visual is on point and the roll itself tastes great. The stir fry udon is also recommended, slightly sweet and salty, the king oyster mushrooms in the udon really enhances the flavor.

This is my favorite sushi place. I have some bias because it's very close to my home. I like to go out to eat on my own, and the staff at Jump have taken to me kindly lol. They remember me, and my favorite spot, the sushi bar ☺️.. The food is fresh, well prepared and tastes great! My new favorite roll is autumn of New York ☺️.

I discovered this Japanese restaurant on a business trip. They have an outstanding selection of Sashimi and Sushi rolls. Service is excellent and quick. Some nights are very busy, and a reservation is recommended.

One of the best dinners I have had in a very long time! I am so happy we went here for our anniversary!! The sushi is amazing the staff was attentive the sushi was amazing the bathrooms were very clean the sushi was amazing the atmosphere was very relaxing and did I mention the sushi was amazing! They clearly made their own soy sauce in house, you expect this blast of saltiness from the soy sauce only to be met with a subtle flavor that does only one thing! Make the sushi better than it already was enhancing the flavor creating an almost heaven like experience in your mouth!!! I will be going here again and again!!!

I gave this a 4 (realistically 4.5) stars only because it's not traditional hibachi as I thought. You had to dig to see that hibachi dinners were cooked in the kitchen not a tableside show. When I made the reservations, I re-iterated that I wanted table top hibachi for 11. They never stated it was not tableside show. Aside from that the food and service was awesome. We got the Angry Dragon sushi (among a lot of other dishes) and it was displayed on the plate as a dragon with a flaming liquid (probably vodka). The food arrived quick, good, and correct. My FIL ordered a dish with shrimp, the kitchen messed up and put in chicken. The waitress offered to add shrimp to the dish and keep the chicken no extra charge. He was thrilled as that's what he already wanted but didn't order. We had a party of 11 and it cost under $300 including tip. It was my daughter's birthday and they brought out 2 trays of tempura banana and sang to her. Everyone left full and happy. I'll definitely go back. I would recommend making a reservation as the line was out the door.

We love it here. We've recommended Kumo to a lot of friends and now they come here all the time, too. The food is always good and the service is friendly. Be warned that it gets super busy here (duh, because their food is delicious), so be prepared to wait, and be patient. We've ordered almost everything from the menu and it's all great.

Nice place. My meal wasn't great so I would go with something else next time but my wife and son enjoyed there's. Server was like a robot.

I gave 4 stars because I believe Kumo does a good job, puts effort into their atmosphere and menu, and my order was correct and on time, but the experience left the fifth star on the table when the food hit mine. My wife very much enjoyed her cucumber avocado rolls and she rated them 5 stars compared to Saika and Dao which we eat with some regularity. I myself tried the angry dragon and unlike house specialty rolls I've had from aforementioned establishments such as the volcano roll and spicy Santa, the angry dragon had me tasting around, waiting for something to happen that never did. I also accompanied my roll with their chicken pad Thai, and I would have to say I would choose to get Asian star pad Thai every time over what I had tonight. Similar to the angry dragon, this dish really lacked life. I was hoping to experience a surprising blend of flavor and texture and unfortunately just had a dish that I would say was alright.

This place is busy for a reason. First time visit for dinner. We ordered sushi and sashimi pieces. The raw fish and seafood was top notch. Beautiful presentation and priced relatively well. The Jalapeño yellow fin app was amazing; we ordered a second one! Downsides were, the waitress seemed to not know the drink menu well. I asked for the sparkling sake and she questioned it several times until finally saying we dont have it. We also waited for a long time for a meal to come out. I would still visit again despite these setbacks.

Been here twice for take out. First visit was good. Food was pretty good. Second visit was great! Sushi was on point, same with my hibachi lunch special. However, price was not as advertised on their website. But I will be back. Have never sat in, but atmosphere seems nice and cozy.

Fantastic options on sushi with tons to choose from. They have special daily made rolls and also their regular menu options. Absolutely give the spicy, tuna, avocado appetizer a try. They are crispy little bites that you and your table mates will be fighting over. They also have hibachi and regular dinners, but just a few. Not tons of seating, so if you don’t feel like waiting, come at an off time. We went at dinner time and we waited maybe five to ten minutes.

Food is incredible, easily the best sushi around, but their service is horrendous. If you’re planning to get sushi on a Friday or Saturday night, expect your order to take at least 20 to 30 minutes longer than they stated. Multiple times I have been told my order is ready only to show up and be told that it’s going to be another 15 to 20 minutes. food is incredible but definitely a better option for middle of the week because they cannot handle busy evenings
