Hartz Chicken Buffet

I absolutely love this location so much. They're SO kind and have wonderful customer service. I frequently pick up doordash orders here and it always smells soooo good and I've been so excited to finally try it this evening for myself. I showed up at about 8:40pm thinking they would be out of chicken(strips) since they were about to close, and since they're a buffet I figured they would only have what was left over and not be taking any more orders, but I was wrong! I placed my order and it was 100% made fresh and to order! The roll was super soft and yummy, the potatoes were delicious and the chicken is absolutely to die for. I frequently go to KFC, but I think Hartz Chicken Dickinson location has stolen my heart for good.

Great tasting cheap food like normal. Everything you would want on a buffet. Fried Chicken, Grilled Chicken, great fried Catfish. Prefer this place over KFC, Popeyes, or another chicken place.

Love the chicken at Hertz. Nice vegetable and salad options plus dessert and drinks. Great price for what you get.

This is the second time I placed a order. It was a very big order. And again everything was fresh and hot. The food was really good and I love the price of the chicken compared to other chicken places. This is my place I will order from when my family just wants chicken. Everyone inside is so nice and all smiles, thank you again for a amazing dinner for my family.

Love their chicken tenders, rolls and okra, yummy, not salty, crispy on the outside and so tender inside. My only suggestion is for their lady staff at the counter to speak a little clearer and louder for the customer to hear and understand. I have to try their lunch buffet next time, their prices is reasonable.

This is a very nice buffet restaurant that had a good selection. Of course, I enjoyed the catfish even more than the chicken. After my meal I asked for ice cream and they took it out from the back and gave it to me. It was a nice experience at $16 per person with a drink.

The food is tasty and the staff is friendly. The restaurant is very clean and I enjoy the variety of food items that are hard to find in many other fast food establishments.

When it comes to hartz buffets this one is middle of the road. I always get drive thru takeout. The chicken is OK but tastes like it's cooked in dirty oil maybe. And I ordered the chicken livers on a couple of occasions and while they seemed to be fried to order and fried well bland is an over statement absolutely zero seasoning on the liver and batter very disappointing. The customer service however is always top notch

I have been coming here for several years. The chicken and service are normally pretty good. The last 2 visits were not. Not sure what happened to this place. I was told it would be 15 minutes until the fresh chicken was done, would I like to wait? I said sure. 30 minutes later I finally received my food. There was 1 car in front of me and 1 behind. They both got served before me. I saw 2 customers walk in while waiting. They were not busy. I asked the guy that finally brought my food what was up? He said they were busy. I only saw 2 people actively working. The others were not. I hope this place improves soon or I will have to take my business elsewhere. They have two strikes in a row now. 1 more and they are done.

The food is pretty good. The fish is excellent. The incense they burn in this place is disgusting. I want to smell food while Im eating...Im not meditating and dont like the smell of burning deodorant. I know they work here and are sick of the chicken smell but this is about customers with money. That does not mix. Burn that crap at home. Im sticking to Texas City Hartz which has more options and cheaper without the weird smell. Also the employees need to be wearing gloves when handling food btw. Im sure the health inspector would agree.

It look like the food have been out since noon the only thing fresh that they put out within the hour that I was there mind you it was dinner time so I expected most of the things to be already changed Because it’s dinner time and the only thing they had put out was the fish me and my friend did not eat but my children had to eat because I had already paid $48 so I was letting them eat whatever they have the rest on their plate I told the manager kindly, and that I did not appreciate we came to buffet, and it was extremely not fresh All he had to say was sorry and that I should have told him why I was sitting there. I said to him I should not have to tell you to put out fresh food for a buffet that should’ve already been out because it is dinner time? I asked him for a refund and he said he’s not gonna sit here and argue with me And was going to give me one buffet back. I said no this is ridiculous. It’s the second time that I’ve been there and I’ve had shitty service. I will always recommend the Texas City location.

I used to like coming here but not after today. My family and I saw the mop bucket by the rack of rolls they had visually open towards the back close by the back door. The rolls were cooked on the rack and the mop bucket right next to it.

I ordered 2 dinners at the drive thru. Got it home and chicken must have been cooked yesterday. So dry and disgusting. I'm done with your establishment. I've been a customer for years when you were on 518. Can't get half dozen chicken livers anymore either. I'm out.
