I had such a wonderful experience at Bellacosa! The food and drinks were a 10 out of 10 and the service was absolutely fantastic. Our server Marlo was the best! Definitely request him when you visit. Did I mention, they had live music. Can’t wait to go back.

Bellacosa is a unique experience. Great atmosphere. Delicious food. Ladies night on Thursday, weekends there is live music and the owner and the wife are a beautiful pair to see working together. An old school feel with the owner takes a personal interest going from table to table checking on the customers. The staff are more like family to one another than they are co-workers. If you have not eaten here, you’re missing out.

This little gem IMO is the best restaurant in Dobbs Ferry. From the intimate, warm atmosphere—to the delicious and I mean delicious food -to the service this place is the real deal. The owner, Frank is a super nice guy who goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and at “home.” The setting is intimate with approx 10-12 tables and seating at the bar. There are small plates, daily food specials, main courses, sides and desserts as well as happy hour drink specials, I’ve been a few times and planning to return soon. Everything I’ve ordered has been fantastic. The cheese board is delicious-a perfect selection of cheese- fruit and jam. My favorites so far include the mussels, eggplant “‘Meatballs”, Frank’s angry chicken, and the broccoli rabe. My boyfriend loves chicken parm and rated it as one of his top 3 of all time and #1 in all of Westchester! I love the quaint atmosphere, the decor, and the feeling like you are at home. I grew up in Dobbs, lived in NYC for 20 yrs and am back in Dobbs for a short stint. I definitely am picky and have high standards when it comes to food. I cannot say enough amazing things about Bellacosa, the food and Frank and his team.

There are not enough superlatives to describe the greatness of this dining experience. For starters, it was a wonderful ambience, with a small jazz band playing music while we dined. The cozy seating gave the feel of a NYC restaurant. The food was exquisite. We started with the rice balls and the straciatella soup. Both were tasty, fresh, and prepared perfectly. I had the veal milanese with a side of pasta for my main course. Portion was huge, was tender, and was delicious. Additionally, my pinot grigio was very good. Service was super friendly and attentive. I love this type of wine bar restaurant. What's particularly impressive is that you have the choice of a traditional 3 course meal, or you can choose tapas. Although family friendly, it really is a more mature dining experience. Overwhelmingly recommend.

My wife surprised me for my birthday for lunch after a massage. What a perfect way to continue to unwind. We did not have meals but as you can see we had the cheese, meat and Bruschetta which were all amazing. The wine selection was very nice and allowed us to sample wines we typically would not with the flights. Can't wait to go back on another date night!

Went last night (2 ppl) and we enjoyed our time greatly. Amazing ambience. The wait staff and bartender were extremely helpful and courteous. We tried the Bellacosa pizza and shared. It was freshly made and tasty (especially with truffle honey). We also had drinks that were expertly made (try the Sicilian martini). We ended the night with two deserts — the crème brûlée cheesecake and the blueberry peach cobbler. Fantastic tastes. The desert menu even comes with wine pairings included in the price. Great quality food and evenly priced.

Not one to post a so so review too often but 4.9 is quite misleading for this one. If someone is deciding between piccola, cookery or here I’d be sad to see them miss out on what Dobbs Ferry has to offer by coming here. Very average, which for the tri state area’s Italian game means subpar, Italian spot. Never had flavorless bread until I came here. Better red sauces out of a jar- like Michael’s of Brooklyn or il Mulino. Chicken Francese was thin so that was a pleasant surprise but watery sauce. Maybe it was an off day but not a single dish made me think to choose this over the above stated, Lombardos or other comparable menus in the area. Friendly people and looks like a good neighborhood hangout but you’re not coming here for excellent food like a 4.9 would make you believe.

Our server was spectacular and our food and wine was good, but a person I can only assume was a manager was quite brusque and rude. The physical atmosphere is nice. But the attitude was not necessary.
