My girlfriend and I went in for $$$ oysters. They were delicious! The burger was amazing! The server was great… I think his name was Josh.. they even went out of their way to sing HB to me!!
Such a great spot, I truly can’t wait to go back! I enjoyed every dish we ordered. The wedge salad was crisp and fresh. My chicken was cooked perfectly and had so much flavor. The caprese was classically delicious. The heirloom tomatoes were just the perfect amount of sweet. Can’t forget to mention the pulled pork sandwich with ACTUAL fried onion rings. Incredible!!!!
The dozen Osters were so good. I'll be back with friends. Bar was friendly and the drinks were good. Price is right and well worth the stop.
The absolutely best roasted half chicken served over roasted brussel sprouts served with a side of au jous. We also shared the chicken parmesan and the garlic linguine that came with was like no other. I had two of their cocktails; blueberry vodka, lime and basil... so delicious. I can't wait to visit Boston again just to eat here!!! If I could give 100 stars 🌟!!!
So I ordered takeout tonight before the New Year ‘22 and I got the steak tip dinner w/ green beans & fries but I didn’t get the fries which I’m not gonna make a big complaint about🤷🏾♀️ , Mashed potatoes are really good anyways LOL. I also ordered the roasted brussels sprouts. All I have to say is that everything is very good the steak tips were cooked perfect(Medium) , greens beans everything. I have ate here before but it’s been years it was good then and still good now. Work Dinner !
Cute spot right outside the train station. Great service, great menu options. Open concept with concrete floors, trendy wall art and 3 t.vs. I got a side of the Yukon gold potatoes and the shrimp cocktail which we're both deloghtful. I will definitely be back for dinner or brunch!
My husband and I came here for brunch. Everyone was very inviting and friendly. Our waiter Sophie was awesome. The food is good but the drinks are great!
New in town. Went here alone for dinner and a drink at the bar. And wow! What a friendly bartender. He knew everyone by name and was fun and kind--even to me. Food was great. Good house-made veggie burger. Jalapeno aioli was super. Fries were decent, thick-ish and crisp but not too crisp. A little more seasoning or salt on them would have made them terrific, but they were still good as is. Oooh, and the seasonal sangria right now is the bomb: strawberry limoncello sangria. So. Freaking. Good. Will definitely be going back!
OMG! "This place is amazing! Every time I’m in the area, it’s an absolute must to stop and enjoy a meal here."
Great brunch options and delicious fancy Bloody Mary's.
We enjoyed it - the pesto chicken was delicious!
place is great. why do people vote on a restaurant because they watch a TV show. give it a try, you will be happy.
People really shouldn't be giving this restaurant bad reviews, because you dislike the owners! It only hurts the staff seriously!
Excellent dinner service by Crystal. Menu highlights include mango margarita, whiskey BBQ chicken tenders, soft crab sandwich, bang bang cauliflower, and pineapple & strawberry shortcake (delicious!). Table visit by Chef Duvy. Chill and intimate atmosphere late on a Friday ~8:30pm. Will be back!
Love this place. My friends and I have become regulars at the Tuesday trivia nights. The scene is great, the drinks are fairly priced, and the food is delicious although we usually just munch on apps. 10/10 could not recommend any higher!
This place was fantastic! The food and atmosphere were really great but the best part was the service. As I told him, Matt was an outstanding server. All the qualities we all look for when dining out. Amongst the best I've ever had, and I'm old! 😄 We had the Bang Bang Cauliflower, Buffalo Quesadilla and a pasta dish on special. I HIGHLY recommend SBK.
My boyfriend and I went on a Friday for dinner. We were immediately greeted by both the server and bartender who were very friendly and welcoming. The food was fantastic. We ordered mussels and gnocco fritto. The gnocco fritto was amazing! They also happened to have pizza as a special and it was fantastic. My boyfriend is from NY so think he’s a pizza connoisseur, and he really liked it. The food was brought to us by their chef, who was awesome. He explained the gnocco fritto to us as I’d never heard of it before. We really enjoyed our brief conversation with him. He let us know they have game nights on Wednesday’s, so we’ll definitely be back.
This is always my first stop in Dorchester. This restaurant is a hidden gem, the Risotto was cooked perfectly along with the grilled shrimp. There is Trivia on Tuesday nights and dollar oysters from 4-6pm. Friendly and family owned. Used to work here in 2017, miss the atmosphere.
Just watched the latest episode. For the sake of the restaurant, I really hope the clueless owners—who seem to contribute nothing in terms of knowledge or leadership—start appreciating their staff and hire the extra help that incredible chef and his girlfriend clearly need. I’ve never been so disappointed in two owners. Shame on them. The chef is a rockstar — with skills like his, he could thrive anywhere. I truly hope the owners wake up. Wishing the restaurant all the success in the world, but let's be real: only the owners can keep it alive. Support your chef. Support your staff. Don’t be donuts. 🍩
This is so sad. People watching a TV SHOW and come here to rate the place 1 star and you ain’t even in the same state! Yes the owners are smug so are many of the other owners in other episodes. You have no business rating this place without being a customer. Go sit down with that.
Absolutely amazing! Stopped in to get a bite while on a business trip. The Bolognese was out of this world! This is a hidden gem! Fabulous food!
Went here tonight with some friends for the pizza special. We ordered 2 pizzas (chicken parm, and sausage, pepper, and onions), and steak tips. Everything we had was delicious!
This place was a great spot for Brunch and I definitely will return for dinner one evening to see what dinner service is like for Brunch, at our table we had stuffed French toast with fresh berries, and side of corn beef hash made with real corn beef and a single serving size of chicken and biscuits with sausage gravy and side of fresh fruit and the Executive mimosas. You do need to download the menu on your phone.
Really amazing service. Brussel sprouts, small seafood plates + oysters were good. Falafel burger is dry. I would come here again.
Pretty good food, but a little pricier than other local options. We liked the variety of drinks on tap as well as in bottle format. A more relaxed and spacious option than other local bars, but more expensive as a result
Food was great. Not enough staff so a little slow but good overall
The chicken sandwich was really good and the potatoes were ok! Nice brunch
Congratulations on getting the staff more up beat to run the restaurant more smoothly and successfully after getting major Help from Chef Ramsey my prayers to you all that it'll continue to be awesome and should the day I come and vist that state I'll drop in for a delicious bite.
You're doing a good job, food was good, service was good. Shoot for 5 by making things look good when it comes out. A bit sloppy looking.
Good food but thought menu was limited. Place is fun and Boston bar type
A friend and I had Sunday brunch there recently. Our host was amazing and attentive and did not interrupt us too much. The food came out hot and fresh. We had fish and chips. The atmosphere was good. There were some small flies buzzing around our window seat (some light dusting needs to happen). Overall a friendly neighborhood gem that I recommend folks try on a Sunday afternoon.
Cute neighborhood place, great for quick dinner and drinks, intimate and cozy, tvs for sports , Drinks were mah very odd profiles and combos, giving speak easy type drinks, not as good though, we had the ararcini very bland needed at least salt and something else, the bang bang cauliflower was excellent!
Decent place to grab a bite The food and brews here are decent but the ambiance is a bit lacking. It is an easy walk from Malibu beach and a good place to come in after a day in the sun. It has bar seating, booths and tables. I highly recommend the rosemary chips and the ice cream sandwiches! The fried cauliflower and calamari are average. Also they have decent beers and cocktails on tap so if you just want a few drinks and some bar food this is a great option.
Decided to grab drinks and few appetizers recently. The service was very good and our waiter did a great job. The food was ok though. A little disappointed about the drumsticks we ordered. The flavors really didn’t hit. In the future, I would go back to check out brunch.
I came for brunch. The food was decent: the stuffed French toast was good, and the chicken & waffles was OK but rather basic/plain. I didn't like how there wasn't a physical menu; you had to use your phone to browse the menu. The table was uneven, which made dining less comfortable than it could be. Service was almost nonexistent.
Went for brunch! It was good. Wish they had more brunch options. Music can get loud. Parking is tough.
Great service, breakfast was...ok...a little cold, I like my food blazing hot 🔥 Mimosas were yummy.
I really wanted this place to be good. The food was only so-so and the restaurant was so cold no one had their heavy jackets off. The server was slow but cold fries and bloody burgers are just not my thing. The drinks were good.
Brunch is great at this restaurant I would highly recommend it. Also the waitstaff/bartenders are great. The dinner menu needs some major updating and changing. Except the chicken tenders they are some of my favorite ever. The drinks are generally strong too. My recommendation is come for brunch or late night drinks.
I have been visiting this restaurant for about 10-15 years. I have noticed a decline throughout but today was about service. I came for brunch today because I was craving their crab cake Benedict. When I got there it was about 11:30am and the music was bumping. There were a total of 5 tables seated in the restaurant. I’ve never done this before but asked if they could turn it down a little which they thankfully did. Server took about 10 minutes to greet us. He brought waters and took our drink order. I only asked if I could have a water with nothing floating in it :/. In about another 5-10 he brought the soda we ordered. We were ready to order but that took another 10 minutes as I looked over and another employee was playing with our servers bum. I get that they are having fun butt.. We ordered our meal and I asked if I could have some sort of greens instead of potatoes and English muffin. He offered fruit, I asked if there was a veggie option, any sort of greens and he said “not really, you can have pork” Um 🧐. So here is the thing.. if my crab cakes come on a bed of spinach why can’t I have extra spinach? A handful of lettuce?? Seems reasonable right?? We were served our meal and the server, no where in sight. Half way through we were hoping for a soda refill. So, bartender and server were both gone for about 10 minutes. I got up and asked the host for a soda because there was no one else in sight. Gold star for the host today, he was helpful. So I’m done eating and my boyfriend was just about done. The server came over and asked how we were doing. My boyfriend asked for a soda and the check. The server touched on 2-3 tables and took their order, no soda, at this point we are done and just want to leave. Its now 10 minutes after we asked for the soda so I glanced at the server as a reminder and he brought the soda and the check. Reminder, there were only 5 tables seated in the restaurant with a number of staff. Definitely a disappointing visit, not looking to return.
Went here the other night with 6 friends. We were excited to try the newly revamped space. We were nervous about getting a table, but then the place was empty, with a couple of people at the bar and 1 other table. What we got: - Gnocco fritto - Bruschetta - Arancini - Orecchiette - Bolognese - Sausage and lentils - Chicken parm - Skillet chicken - Radicchio salad We had high hopes, but besides the apps, everything was disappointing. How can you call yourself an Italian restaurant but not cook pasta correctly? The pasta for the Orecchiette, Chicken Parm, and Bolognese were all VERY overcooked. The pasta for the Bolognese was basically mush. We actually sent that dish back and came back just as overcooked. They need to figure out how to cook pasta. Service was also bad. Our apps and mains came out at different times. Water glasses went unfilled, and I had to go find salt and pepper on my own. Also, there were two employees, maybe a manager and kitchen staff, who were sitting at a table next to us doing event planning while talking on the phone on speakerphone. It really ruined the vibe. Slim chance we will go back. Very disappointing.
Waited for at least 15 minutes without being acknowledged at our table. Had to call out to someone walking by to ask who our server was. We were told they would go look. 10 minutes later she came, without introduction and took our order. 15 mins later our drinks came and were underwhelming, however to change them would’ve been a task so we settled. 10 minutes later our food came. I asked specifically for over medium eggs. As you can see in the picture, it’s pretty much egg soup. During our meal, we saw her only one other time to which we requested our check. DO NOT go here if they’re busy, because they aren’t able to provide adequate service. Food, other than egg soup, was good. Try the chicken and biscuits.
This place used to be great, but they've tried to yuppie-fy themselves and it's just weird. Their cocktails have gone so far downhill that some are seriously gross. I don't know if I'll go back here. The same management company also runs Ghost Pepper next door which is fantastic.
Cute little place, but the kitchen needs help. I ordered the short rib risotto - 1st of all, that wasn't short rib ... Maybe from a can? Very weird consistency and look, risotto was ok, onions definitely could've been cooked longer, even the Caesar salad was just mehhh, didn't think that could go wrong but 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️ that was my 1st time there, idk if I'll give it another shot - maybe?
I've been in a few times before the Gordon Ramsay show and once after and the food was mediocre at best. Was really hoping the "update" would have been better but now it's just a carbon copy of any tourist trap Italian place in the North End with worse decor.
Came here twice. Once for brunch, and it was absolutely delicious. Tonight I went for dinner and both dishes were very bad. We got pasta and it was not fresh and very very bland (we dumped a liter of salt on top so it was bearable). Server never asked how our food was. Tried to order the chicken but it was not available. For a limited menu it was upsetting something would be unavailable.
I always dine in/ order out from here but this time it was very very disappointing ! I always get the steak tip entree and it’s always a good portion for 30$ this time they cut almost 2/3 of the portion . And this time it did not come with the green sauce that it normally comes with. NEVER AGAIN WILL I COME BACK AND ORDER FROM HERE. A box for 30$ just for a hand full of food. Very sad.
Owners are an embarrassment. Hard to watch how brutal those guys are. The talented staff deserve so much better. Hope those guys sell the place ASAP
The food was alright and it was quick but there was hair in our drinks and in the food. When we told the lady she didn’t care she apologized and that was it. After seeing hair in my food and friends we had no appetite. I didn’t want to be rude or act “ghetto” but def wouldn’t eat there again and it was my first time 🤦🏽♀️
Glorifying the wrong things here. Mediocre food served by a poorly trained wait staff. Management is entirely out of touch with reality. This place is a master class in how to tank a restaurant.
