Juniors is great for both brunch or dinner. Atmosphere is very cosy! :) The restaurant is small and can sometime be quite noisy when packed. There is a small seating area protected by glass walls right outside the restaurant. Great to catch some light on autumn/winter days. Staff is very friendly and will always be attentive to your needs. Completely forgot to take more pictures, but there is a wide variety of dishes. :)
The service was amazing. The waiting staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They answered questions, made suggestions and helped us as much as they could with a beaming smile on their faces. The food was also delicious. The menu is compatible with buying a range of small plates to share or a meal each. As if that wasn't enough it offers stunning wines and cocktails. Can't recommend strongly enough
I have falling in love with someone's else's breakfast, apart from my own of course. My god it's seriously good. The eggs with spinach, Benedict style are the best I have ever had. No oily spinach. Amazing fresh eggs. The pancakes are amazingly good. We got the last one. And I can see why they sell out so fast. Would love to try waffles from you. Next time perhaps. Small little cafe, our server kindly adjusted people and tables around me too get me comfortable. What a lovely touch. Long legs. Great great customer service. It's busy and only had to wait 15 mins. So book or go early. Called us back no issues. Style comfortable and casual perfect for Sunday food. Price is great. No complaints, my fav Sunday breakfast spot so far. Dublin hidden gems a must must place to visit and eat. You get my best raiting ever. I fricken adore your resturant. Clean and tidy. Can be a bit noisy. Clean bathrooms. Such a great positive experience. Would be best to go with someone special. I'm coming back soon. Well done juniors your at number 1 in my mind for best breakfast in Dublin.
The restaurant offers a well-balanced combination of a comfortable, private atmosphere and consistently high-quality cuisine. The dishes are thoughtfully prepared using fresh, carefully selected ingredients, resulting in a satisfying dining experience. The staff are professional, attentive, and approachable, contributing positively to the overall ambiance. I recommend this venue for intimate dinners, whether for couples or small groups, where a refined yet relaxed setting is desired.
Super cute spot amazing massive portions of food that taste amazing! I got the California Bagel, it was the nicest thing I'd had all weekend. Other with me had gotten the Croic Monsieur, Steak Sandwich and Breakfast of Champions the day before. They loved it so much they brought myself and other the next day. Someone else with us got the pancakes and they were super fluffy and delicious - only complaint our group had was with the pancakes the portion of maple syrup to pancakes wasn't great so he had to ask for more maple syrup only to be charged 2.50 for it; they should just have more syrup with the pancakes because it's a big stack.
Popped in here for brunch today and we were made so welcome from the moment we opened the door. Haven't been here in a year or so, as live too far away, but delighted they are still serving up the best brunch and as amazing as ever. Brought friends who were blown away by the quality of the food.Presentation and portions were 100% You can taste the fresh ingredients and the flavours are fabulous. Very happy to return and find it better than ever.
Had brunch here today and really enjoyed it. I have coeliac disease so the staff took great care preparing my meal to minimise the potential of cross contamination, really nice cappuccino too. Would definitely recommend 👌
Amazingly nice people and a great small place. Requires booking or easily you'll find it full. The portions sizes are quite good for a meal; from sweet to savoury there's little to go wrong with. Still the best for me is still those who work there and how positive and nice they are to everyone; they'll even remember your name! This lifts the mood of the whole place as you see/hear how they treat everyone, not just your table. The chicken burger is enormous and super tasty. The Mexican eggs are quite tasty if not too pepper heavy. They were a perfect sharing meal together with the berry pancakes so we were able to get the best of both worlds without going too heavy on any. The pancakes are a fluffy dream but quite sweet. Not only thinking of going there again, it's already booked!
Cannot go wrong with a Juniors brunch over the weekend. Lived in Dublin for over 7 years and brunch at Juniors was regular occurrence. They have a great regular brunch menu and each weekend they also do a special. The team at Juniors are super friendly and they will great you like family. If you are looking for a cozy, familiar and great brunch spot look no further!
Just had the best dinner at Juniors this evening. The space was lovely and even has a kind of outdoors space (safe for rainy days as it’s covered). We had the ribeye steak and it was the best meat I’ve had in Dublin so far. The meat was tender and the sides were quite generous. Special shout out to the salad which was very tasty! The staff is really really nice and energetic and put you in the mood to have an amazing meal. I cannot recommend this enough!! It’s amazing
Fantastic brunch. However, bookings could be improved - rang the first time and was left on hold (and forgotten). Rang again and reserved a table for three people but was told the booking was for just two people, which was awkward given how small the space was so we were tottering about for a bit. In fairness to the manager, he arranged to seat us at another spot quite fast thereafter. Would go back for the fab food in a heartbeat!
Food was delicious! A bit crowded but totally worth it! Ask for the chicken waffles! So good!
It used to be our usual brunch spot when we lived in Ballsbridge and it was the best spot in surrounding area. Their lunch sambos were also amazing. We've returned after a couple a years and had the most delicious brunch meal. The service is impecable and genuinely friendly as always and the full Irish and Rosti were superb.
A very cosy place with nice starters and dishes. Be warned, the kitchen is right by the dining area which ads to the livelihood of the place. The staff is really welcoming and friendly. The monkfish with chickpeas and chorizo cassoulet is an amazing dish, very filling and suitable for the colder months. We enjoyed the sunburnt red ale from their selection of craft beers. To avoid a wait on the weekend evenings, do consider booking a few hours ahead.
Delicious food !!!!! It was very busy when we went and the staff looked a bit stressed but the food was worth the wait . Will definitely come back .
Amazing food! The Juniors Brunch and Eggs Royally are just delicious 😋. The service is amazing as well 👏🏾👏🏾
The place is small and cozy. Ordered Eggs Royale, amazing dish! Prices are from November 2019.
Really great, small restaurant with hospitable staff. I opted for the special which was a pan roasted hake fish with pea puree. The dish both looked and tasted better than expected
As an American, I can confidently say this is one of the best diner breakfasts I've ever had. Run, don't walk, here for breakfast!
Amazing pancakes, generous portions & super friendly staff who served us even though the kitchen was just closing up. Will definitely be back!
Best brunch in Dublin. It gets fairly busy on a Sat morning so it's a good idea to book in advance. Lunch is superb too.
Had a 3 course dinner at Juniors and i gotta say their food is brilliant and the stuff lovely. Sure I’ll be going back.
Outstanding lunch, best in Dublin. The chargrilled chicken is excellent.
Arrived in time for breakfast. Local feel, delicious food and friendly staff. Would love to go back
Wife had the roast porchetta and I had the special (meatballs). Food is amazing here!! The quality of the ingredients really shone through, you can really tell the chefs put a lot of TLC in the preparation here also. My special was washed down with an alcoholic ginger beer, delicious! and the wife had soda. Highly, highly recommended this place..... can't wait to try the dinner menu......"I wish we had a place like Juniors in London (direct quote from wife)
A small unpretentious place in Dublin. We arrived 30 mins before lunch service but they were happy to accommodate. The Irish lass serving us was so lovely. The salad of the day was the bomb. There were 3 of us and we each had a sandwich. Super good all around. As they would say in Ireland - CLASS!
Nice place, very good service. Food is good but my eggs royale were overcooked so too dry. Breakfast of champions is a Win!
Had brunch here recently and got the Egg Chorizo Hash, which was extremely delicious. However, the price of it was a little expensive for what it was, especially compared to similar restaurants in Dublin.
I think we made the mistake of going here over the weekend. We had a booking but were asked to leave in about 70-75 minutes. The server's hair went into my friend's bagel while they were leaning over the table serving us. Their weekday sandwiches are pretty good usually but I probably wouldn't go back here for brunch.
Been in this place for brunch, dinner and my latest exploration was their lunch sandwiches. In my own ranking their dinner wins, brunch is a very strong contender and sandwiches come third. Their attention to detail in every dish makes this place a Dubliner favorite. I tried the soup and sandwich deal which was 10 Euros. Good price, great Thai potato soup but the coronation chicken was not the best I had in Dublin. Will go again to try different sambos.
Went for brunch on a rainy day. The location is cozy and the menu is quite varied. Plates are averagely priced but small in size; It's not the kind of place to go to if you're really hungry.
Lovely sandwiches but often burnt offerings when get for takeaway, really shouldn't be going out the door.
Update, it's now €10 for a sandwich and it's still burnt..... Good food and menu but time after time the sandwich, toast or bagel bread is burnt. Badly. And they serve it to you anyway. I need to start unpacking it when I get take away and checking it before I leave, because it's not worth €8.50 when it's burnt. It happens far too often.
Two sandwiches cost a whopping €36! That on its own should speak volumes but it's worth elaborating just how profoundly disappointing this place is. One might mistakenly think the price is warranted by some form of logic. Let me be clear: there is no form of business mental gymnastics that can provide a satisfactory answer. First, the positives, so you know that I do not troll. The space is beyond cute, it is adorable. Juniors has a simple but refined outdoor covered outdoor space that has quite an idyllic charm to it. It makes up in vibe and charm what it thoroughly lacks in real view (it really only looks onto the SPAR and pub across the road, quite grimly if you ask me). Service is middling. The waitresses are accommodating but they are dreadfully slow to prepare the food which also takes ages and comes colder than takeaway that needs to traverse the city. Considering these two criteria alone I would not rate Juniors higher than a 3. Harsh but abundantly fair. Once we tried the food and realized the price/value ratio (or lack thereof) that is unfortunately when it became apparent that a decent cratering of this otherwise bland and average outfit was required. First know that they specialize in sandwiches and brunch food and every item on the menu approaches €20 or is a few € over that threshold. The food itself is as generic as it can get. Juniors is not the first place, nor will it be the last, to make it's business model putting together very standard amalgamations of extremely cheap ingredients and passing them off as "gourmet". We were there at 1.15 (a very reasonable lunch hour) and they had already run out of their steak and chicken sandwiches (which frankly sounded the most appetizing). A pointed but not insurmountable disappointment. I ordered the Beef Brisket, kindly asking the kitchen to swap out the bagel for a ciabatta (the right choice IMO), while my partner settled on the California, also on a ciabatta instead of the bagel found on the menu. I'm fond of Beef Brisket especially considering its very humble history as an overlooked cut that would in fact often get binned. I was shocked to see Juniors pass it off as of similar value to a steak. Especially considering their Beef Brisket sandwich is 1 part brisket (very dry and overcooked), 4 parts coleslaw (another incredibly cheap to make concoction) and just a few leaves of rocket... The California similarly is nothing more than a BLT with avocado and arugula instead of the lettuce. Lazy and far from impressive if you ask me. Additional negative points would be warranted for just slapping the avocado in the sandwich with no form of treatment, adding to the total lack of flavour and enjoyability as you will often find yourself fighting against slippery motions of the single slice of avocado, trying to eat it before it has a chance to slide out. Both came with fries. I've been more impressed by frozen fries from Tesco. Overall an abysmal experience. This was also my first time visiting despite being in the area for 5 years. I will happily go another 5 years (and hopefully longer) without returning.
What a disappointing experience. Ordered my sandwich by email, very prompt reply. Cycled the 12k in to collect (WFH at the moment) and joined the queue. When I got to the window, which clearly indicates i was waiting for collection, I had to wait for about 5 or 6 groups in front to place their orders, queue behind me, then get called to collect. Waiting about 15 minutes at the front of the queue while everyone skipped me. Never asked why I was standing in line waiting. Only when I interrupted the staff member did she take any notice of me. She disappeared for a few minutes, came back and gave me my order that had been sitting there the whole time. What a complete waste of time and it not only left me frustrated but also a bit upset. What had I done to receive such treatment? My office is local as are many of my colleagues, I was thinking of doing an outdoor lunch with juniors sandwiches but not now. I really think this was a terrible treatment of a customer and I don't think I'll be back.
