Chaat Bhavan is always top notch from an atmosphere and delicious vegetarian food perspective. This last visit, our Punjabi waiter said that our saag had tarka before coming out - it was amazing and reminded me of home style cooking - how it should be 👌🏽❤️ The gol guppay with three flavour emulsions were fantastic - check out the pictures to see them.

A bit hidden in a shopping area, this is a gem of an Indian restaurant! The food is really high quality, tastefully presented and with rich flavor. The chaat appetizers are delicious, and the main courses are just spiced right. And don't forget to drink a sweet or mango lassi with dinner. The service was super friendly! Warmly recommended!

It was a little busy when I visited, but the wait was short. The staff was very efficient and attentive. The food was fantastic, my favorite was the vada pav, which is a battered and fried potato patty in a roll with a spicy spread and a fresh chili on the side. If you order the bhel, eat it first and fast so it maintains its texture.

Their allergy specs are confusing. Need their help to specify. Person taking order was not putting two and two together based on our questions to bring items with dairy mixed !! Their monthly specials are awesome, but no allergy specs:(

Update: Amazing place! Lovely food! Great service! This is one place that provides food of consistent quality everytime you eat there. The number of options is amazing and you get something to cater to your tastes. Their pani puri, and chaat items are definitely their best items. All of these are 5/5. Some of their monthly specials are terrific: Their soy chop was amazing! Their curries could be better. They basically use the same base for most curries so you really cant tell the difference between shahi paneer and paneer tikka masala. I could go to 5 star review if they fix that.

Our default restaurant when looking for good vegetarian dining options. Love their Bhindi Masala and almost every dish we have tried over the years has left us with a good taste. This place used be pretty good compared to it Fremont franchise. The service had declined considerably. However, the food is super yummy and that's the only reason we go here.

We went to Chaat Bhavan on Christmas Day, when every restaurant is closed, except a select few ones from different ethnicities. When we entered the restaurant, it was quite empty, and they quickly got our group of eight seated. To grade Indian restaurants, we try to be fair by getting the same thing; butter naan, paneer tikka masala, and a vegetable curry. We stuck with the naan, but changed from a 4-seam to a curveball by choosing the signature malai paneer, and kofta curry. We also got the thaali. The paneer gravy was not thick like usual, and the blocks of paneer were not fully grilled. But the grace was still good. The gravy for the kofta was a control c, control v situation , except the only change was the kofta balls, which were delicious. In the thaali, there was a minty curry that included the kofta balls as well. The thaali also included chole, a bread of your choice (we choose poori and roti), basmati rice, a pani puri, a chili cheese toast, and some subjis. The starter of pani puri and chili cheese toast came out of the starting blocks faster than Usain Bolt, while still being hot. And the subjis were delicious. All in all, the food was not that hot, and didn't contain much flavor, but the food was still enjoyable. My kids were describing this place as "mid", and I agreed, hence why this place deserves three stars. I definitely recommend to try once, but me personally, I don't think I will go their again.

We visited this establishment based on its highly positive reviews, but unfortunately, our experience was underwhelming. We sampled saag, chaat, and various curries, all of which were merely average. The most disappointing dish was the dal tadka, which lacked the traditional tadka and unexpectedly included spring onions. This unconventional choice was not to our liking. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Sad to see the taste changing, undhiyu puri used to be fantastic Surti style but is now gravy based. Daal Dhhokli was actually sweet and spicy but now both were missing (seem to be catering to a different demographic now). I used to enjoy the core gujrati style food but that seems to have changed. Really sad to see the change, may be the chef changed or maybe there are more folks who want less gujrati style food which has been incorporated. The food quality is still good but the taste has changed.

I wish Yelp had negative rating. The food was horrible and so was the service. They seem to not care, brought the wrong food and then made us wait for 25 minutes to bring the correct food. JUST HOR…

Ordered to go item Kadhai Paneer and Paneer Tikka Masala. Unfortunately, both dishes were extremely oily and had too much salt and too much color. The food felt heavy, and I didn’t feel good after eating it. Disappointed with the quality and balance of flavors.
