Great service from the barman Murat. Friendly and professional, with a great sense of humour. He made us absolutely fabulous cocktails — delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommend!
Been here in the past at its “cousin” location. Right off the bat, the waiter was extremely nice and thoughtful, going as far as offering to let my dad sample the buffalo sauce for the wings in case it was too spicy. The chicken wings really are a signature here, perfect heat and spice. The beetroot goat cheese salad is rich and light. Would come back:)
We had a fabulous time at E&C - Love, love, love the decor - it makes you want to stay all night ~ oh those little grass skirts!! 😉The ambiance was perfect, the food was excellent and our server was top notch, can’t say enough good about Rebecca, she was sweet, thoughtful, efficient and funny!! We will def be back for more of all of this!! Hubby had the burger and loved it and I had the delicious ribs, next time I’m having the wings!! All the best!! 🎉☺️ PS love the little touch lights on the table, where can I buy one please?
Visited here on a Sunday evening about 2 weeks ago with a 3 year old and we were very impressed. Food was gorgeous and the service was excellent. Great buzz around the restaurant, definitely will return.
Went here for a pre show dinner. Arrived a bit early as Swedish house mafia were playing and a crowd was expected. The table wasn't ready but no harm we just popped next door for a beer while we waited. After about 15 mins the hostess came and found us to get us seated. Very impressed with that The usual few mins to decide in food. Between 2 we got the hot wings which were top notch really tasty and not just hot, dirty chicken- nachos chicken hot sace and aioli and garnish and vintage cheese and again smashed outta the park these were just great.we also got a bacon and cheese burger but I didn't have any but my wife said it was really good. Some cocktails and a desert, pecan pie and a chocolate delice I think it was called. The pie was 👍, the chocolate desert was great too but so rich I couldn't eat much smaller portion would have done me. Didn't get pics of these and we jumped straight in. Highly reccomed for pre show bites or any other time. Lovely place nice staff and great location for us
An outstanding experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is stylish yet welcoming, the drinks and food are perfectly crafted, (we had the classic vintage burgers) and the service is attentive without being intrusive and courteous. A place that truly stands out and is worth returning to. We had so much fun and a wonderful evening!
We recently had a wonderful dining experience enjoying both food and drinks with friends. To our surprise, the visit turned out to be exceptionally pleasant, exceeding our expectations. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive atmosphere of our outing. Between the three of us, we decided to indulge in burgers and chicken wings. Personally, I found their chicken wings to be absolutely delicious — definitely some of the best I've had. The flavors were just right, making it a memorable evening filled with good food and great company.
We came here for a team meal and had a really good experience. The restaurant itself is lovely — very cozy with a warm, inviting ambience, especially nice before the holidays. The food was genuinely delicious, and everyone at the table enjoyed their dishes. Overall, it was a great place for a team gathering, and we definitely plan to come back.
Lovely place to eat, a stones throw away from 3Arena. Made an online booking and we were about 15 mins early, but no harm the table was ready! Very friendly staff, nice food spot too. Wings are very nice, as well as the naan bread with hummus. The chicken burger was massive but very nice. The only downfall I would say is that our table wasn’t cleared from our starters when our main course arrived, very minor problem but timing is key and it was a bit rushed. However that can’t take away from a brilliant experience we had here, and we would definitely return.
The ambiance is warm and staff is friendly. The wings were well cooked and seasoned and complemented by their delicious sauce. The portion sizes were generous, making it a satisfying meal even though it is considered appetizers. It was about 20 wings. One thing that it is missing, it's a restaurant sign outside of the building indicating that the restaurant is actually there. It can be tricky to find it if you are not from the city.
Such a lovely place for a special day. Food portion are huge, I got a huge fish and chips and the guys got a huge burger with lots of chips. I also got a coffee cantata for dessert and that was huge and delicious. I got a Montepulciano D’Abruzzo wine and that was perfect. Staff were extremely kind and professional. It was worth every penny. Highly recommend this place.
The food here was really great! Menu was kinda hard to understand but all the food was delicious and our waiter was great. I think this is connected to a hotel.
Mine was a simple order; wings and chips. Both lived up to the hype and were delicious. I had a lovely glass of Trebbiano upstairs earlier in the day, and although on the menu, they didn't have it. Menus is smaller than advertised on the website also.
An absolute gem of a place, finest steak dinner I've had in a while, not too pricey considering it's Dublin. Well worth a visit
Chips were hot and fresh, perfectly fried and salted. The portions are HUGE! The order of wings came with at least 25-30 pieces.
We got the lime chicken- so good! The strawberry limeade tasted like a mocktail and was so tasty too.
A stunning, cosy restaurnt you could sit in for the whole day. The interior is spectacular. The wings were as expected - Perfection and service in a very large portion size for sharing. I loved that the staff kept me from over ordering due to the portion size, it was appreciated.
Top Location. Top Food nice view. Friendly stuff. Highly recommend. Have a look. Absolutely important is a reservation in advance
Really lovely place for birthday, will be back and good very tasty.
Burger with vintage cheddar and fries was very nice. Good value. Great service. Staff amazingly friendly and efficient. Outside area is very continental. Faults-none :)
It is a pleasure to dine in an establishment that prioritises customer needs. From the moment we were greeted at the door, the staff were attentive and friendly. The location is perfect for anyone attending an event at the 3 Arena, and the food is served quickly and piping hot. We were very impressed and would definitely recommend a visit. The staff were very accommodating to my wife's needs as a coeliac. Bravo to the management and staff! 👏👏
We had a great diner! The restaurant atmosphere is very nice and the food delicious.
Beautiful architecture, decor and lighting design, a very pleasant space in which to spend a couple of hours. The service was very attentive. The food is good, the portions are massive and you should take that into consideration when ordering - one could easily split a main between two adults and supplement with a starter or sides. The buffalo chicken and cauliflower wings are a specialty - you can order half portions even though the menu doesn’t show it, lives up to the hype. My only constructive feedback would be that the veggie burger is underwhelming-they should simply use a commercial plant based patty or come up with something that isn’t a mushy pile of lentil, bean and cauliflower.
Nice bar and restaurant within the Mayson Hotel. Great vibe and lovely decor. Went here especially on a recommendation on a Monday night with 2 colleagues. It was dissappointing that on a Monday evening (start of the week), my first choice dish of Chicken Schnitzel was not available. So I chose Chicken Burger. That too was unavailable. In the end I opted for Pasta. I wouldn't expect a busy restaurant to run out of items mid-evening on a Monday night. The pasta with Nduja meatballs I did have was delicious. We also shared a platter of Wings which were great also and a good sixed portion for all 3 of us.
Food was good, really nice atmosphere and the staff were great.
Lovely food and lovely place Daniellia from brazil was the outstanding Person we dealt with others not really interested but when she realised my daughter was graduating she was brillant An amazing young lady with great attitude.😀😀
Quite mixed feelings. We were staying at the hotel and liked the look of the restaurant as we were heading to a concert at the 3Arena that evening. Tried to book but advised only counter seats available, seemed comfortable enough so went ahead. When we returned 4 hours later the counter was full. The staff member advised that he'd seen a reservation but didn't know where.. seemed a bit odd.. then he offered us a small table in the lobby area with lounge seats which meant we would have been sat on the floor with the table level with our faces.. granted, might be a good position to just shuffle food into our faces, but neither I nor my partner are Labrador puppies so put digestives systems would not have thanked us. I advised the staff member that I wouldn't be able to sit there, he pointed at the busy counter area, huffed and then said he'd see what he could find. If we'd been able to eat somewhere else at this stage I would have walked out, but it's a concert night in an area next to the Arena, so I held firm. He returned less than a couple of minutes later and low and behold, two seats had opened up. The menus were left on the bar and he walked off without saying a word. Luckily, things got a lot better after that. The staff member behind the bar was great, so friendly and attentive. While we did initially get the wrong main, this was quickly changed and they comped one of our drinks as an apology. Food was lovely, very big portions which I struggled to finish, but rather too much than not enough. Had we not had any issues on arrival, I'd have awarded more stars as I felt uncomfortable throughout dinner because of this.
The kids portions are big so if you have kids that don't eat much I would suggest halving that portion. Chicken wings were tasty but everything else we had was far too salty and ruined the potential of the dish.
The sharing plate was nicely presented, crispy sourdough and room temperature meats this was by far the best part of the meal. We both had burgers, pretty average I'm afraid..cocktails were above average on a better note.
Chicken wings used to be great, but prices have gone way up and quality has gone down. €21 for tiny dry wings - not good at all. €26 for a salad is terrible value, considering the portion size. Average food at high prices. Staff are nice and the pre concert atmosphere is good.
Nice place, good service, food only ok for price. 70 euro for a couple of burgers a dirty chicken and 3 cokes.
Beautiful setting due to the great design. Great lively atmosphere. Mediocre food. The cold Aranciata beggged us not to call it Italian. The Mexican entre salad had stale tortilla chips and an inedible unripe avocado. The chicken on it was dry, tough and over seasoned. That chicken piece did not remember the time when it was raw. The plate of side chips came limp and soggy as if they were dredged from the bottom of the sea (see pic). The creamy seafood chowder was luke warm and not creamy at all. I considered calling the guards. It really should be an offense in Ireland to make a uncreamy seafood chowder with barely any seafood. How can you fail at this on an island that produces the best dairy in the world? When the waiter, who never smiled, never said a kind word and never acknowledged our thank yous brought in the course before the drinks I was a bit surprised and said oh, before the drinks. He said coldly: we are fast. In retrospect that should’ve been a harbinger of things to come. Speed is probably their only KPI. Again. Great ambiance. Go for the meh cocktails and the background cocophony of the drunken knowledge workers on the patio. But if you are keen to waste your hard earned money. Don’t order the food. I’ll send you my Revolut details. PS we were there at 8pm.
Beautiful setting. Service so so. Omelette over 12 Euro smaller than the appetizer/starter. Please note, they include 12.5% gratuity. Five star setting. 2 star... ordered coffee, never came. Bloody Marys and Daiquiris leave a lot to be desired.
Probably one of the worst (non fast food) burgers I've had. Greasy, unseasoned and just all round bland. No server came near to ask how our meal was so I assume they're used to complains. The chips were pretty good but, let's be honest. Who can mess them up? Waste of 50 quid, won't be back.
Staff were okay, fairly friendly in what little interaction we had. The food though, was awful. Burger was okay, tasted like it was cooked on open flame. The pasta however, was a mix of crunch and rubber, considering the price of.the dish was nearly €30, we were expecting a lot more for it, at the very least for it to be properly cooked. We were hoping for al dente, not al dentist.
My partner and I were staying in The Mayson and decided to go for lunch in Elephant & Castle. We both ordered chicken wings and chips. After eating about two or three wings each, we noticed they tasted strange. On closer inspection, we both bit into wings that were visibly bloody and clearly undercooked. We immediately brought this to the attention of a staff member and sent the food back to the kitchen, as we no longer wanted to eat it. We only ate the chips after that. Since then, we have both been experiencing stomach cramps and have not felt well. This is obviously very concerning and extremely disappointing, especially at this time of year. I have tried to find an email address to contact Elephant & Castle directly but haven’t been able to locate one, which is why I am raising this now.
I was the first lunch customer but waited an hour for my food, which arrived cold and underwhelming, while others who arrived later were served first. They mentioned the fryer was broken, so fries weren’t available. The waiter was kind, apologetic, and even offered tea, but I couldn’t help feeling the service I received wasn’t on par with the other tables possibly because I was not white?
By far the worst takeaway I've ever had. Rock hard and dry wings that couldn't even be taken apart with a knife. No hot sauce in sight. €7 for dressed fries which consisted of about 10 chips covered in cheap solid cheese. Went straight in the bin. Complete waste of money. Hopefully this place go out of business soon. They're an absolute disgrace to the E&C chain.
I was staying in the hotel and decided to have a bite in the adjoining restaurant. I ordered the steak sandwich- it had a bad smell and taste. I couldn’t eat it. The waitress offered me another meal. I choose the chicken burger. - It was very mediocre. I ate half of it. The fries were over-cooked. Needless to say I would not recommend coming here for food. I certainly won’t be back.
