Visited the Pasta Bar today evening and had an amazing experience! Both pasta dishes we ordered were absolutely excellent – perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The service was warm and friendly throughout. The highlight was the birthday surprise at the end – the staff sang a birthday song and it truly was the icing on the cake. A lovely personal touch that made the evening extra special. Highly recommend this place for great food and a memorable dining experience!

From the décor to the food to the staff, everything was absolutely amazing! The pasta was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. My husband ordered the spaghetti with meatballs, and the tomato sauce was definitely the best I’ve ever tasted. The staff were super friendly, and the whole experience was just wonderful. I’m already planning to come back this weekend with some friends so they can try it too — and so I can taste more dishes (it was so hard to choose, haha!).

an amazing italian restaurant serving freshly made pasta and oven pizza with plenty of varieties, toppings and flavours to choose from on the menu! i have to recommend their crispy rice croquettes with nduja and cheese as a starter, as well as their truffle pasta and amalfi pizza. the pizza base was thin and the prawns were fresh. overall, the quality of the food and the service was top notch!

We celebrated a birthday at Un’Altra and it was fabulous! The service is amazing and friendly! The food is delicious, and there is a huge selection to choose from! The pizzas are Neapolitan style & the pasta is made in house! The prices are reasonable and the ambience is relaxed, very clean & welcoming!

The pasta here is on another level — especially the cheese wheel pasta, which is unbelievably rich and delicious. Their spaghetti prawn is fresh and full of flavour, and the carbonara is creamy, authentic, and absolutely amazing. If you’re looking for real Italian taste without leaving Dublin, this spot delivers every time!

Awesome place to eat some really good Italian food. We were a group of 4 and we got, as starters, arancini, meatballs, and focaccia. We then ordered a Milan cheese pizza for sharing and our mains were a Margherita Verace Pizza, pasta and chicken, fresh gnocchi amd the amazing tagliatelle prepared in the Parmigiano cheese wheel. The preparation was something I have never seen before, worth the money just for the show - and it tastes amazing. Great experience and the staff is amazing. Totally recommend!

I had an amazing experience trying the tagliatelle cooked in the cheese wheel — it was absolutely delicious! We were served by Isabela, who was incredibly attentive, friendly, and helpful from start to finish. It was truly a mega experience, and I can’t wait to go back!

The best Italian we’ve ever been to in Dublin. We visited with our 3 kids. Tough guests to impress :-) Kids menu is wonderful & very decent portion sizes. Adult portions are on the small side so starters needed! Absolutely delicious food, every single one of us loved it. We will be back!

We’ve been to Un Altra Pasta Bar in Blackrock twice now, and it has truly exceeded our expectations on both occasions. The first time, my wife and I sat at the bar, and watching them make pizzas all night was brilliant. As soon as you walk in, you can see the pizzas being made right in front of you, and they all look absolutely delicious—you just know they’re going to be amazing. Just a couple of days later, we returned with my mum and dad—simply because the food was that good! Finding great pasta in Ireland can be tough, but Un Altra Pasta Bar delivers. The pasta was really, really delicious and cooked perfectly, with flavors that were just fantastic. After reading the initial reviews, I thought there was no way it could be that good. However, from the moment we walked in and saw the pizzas coming out, with that proper Neapolitan-style crust, we knew we were in for something special. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the owner clearly takes great pride in the restaurant. It’s a welcoming and lively place, and we felt right at home. I had intended to leave a review after our first visit but forgot—after the second visit, I just had to! Without a doubt, Un Altra Pasta Bar is my favorite pizza and pasta spot in Dublin. The food is consistently fantastic, and it's easy to see why the place is always so busy. The pricing is very reasonable, and the quality of the olive oil, especially the chili-infused one, and the house red wine really stood out. We enjoyed a glass the first time and ended up getting a whole bottle on our second visit to share with the family—we were all raving about it the next day! This is THE BEST pizza place in Blackrock! I’ve tried all of the spots in the village that serve pizza, and this place is by far the standout. Now, I usually go for a super crispy base — that’s my personal preference — but honestly, I didn’t even care that the base here was more on the fluffy side. The dough was absolutely gorgeous, light yet satisfying, and the flavors were just top notch. Every bite was packed with quality ingredients and real care in preparation. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. My server, Eny, was simply the nicest — attentive, kind, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. I’m a very picky eater and had a couple of tweaks to my order, and they were more than happy to accommodate everything without any fuss. That kind of service really makes a difference and just added to how much I enjoyed the visit. I also had a Hugo spritz and it was simply fab — refreshing, perfectly balanced, and the ideal drink to go with the meal. My only regret is that I didn’t try this place sooner! Thank you so much to the team for the effort and care you clearly put into everything. I’ll definitely be back, I’ll bring friends, and I’ll recommend this place to absolutely everyone. 10/10. Oh we had an absolutely lovely time. Met a good friend for our Christmas meet up, and thus restaurant was the perfect venue. The food is delicious, the service was impeccable and it was lovely and busy but never appeared to be overly so. I will definitely be back

What made the experience even better was the outstanding service from Saujanya. They were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. We walked in without a reservation and were welcomed with a good table, something we truly appreciate, as we love the charm of just walking in and enjoying the moment. The place is spotless, the staff are very friendly, and the background music makes you feel like you’re in Italy. The pizza was outstanding, with some of the best dough I’ve ever tasted, and cutting it with very clean scissors was a lovely, authentic touch. We also enjoyed a very good pint of beer, or two, which paired perfectly with the meal. A truly authentic and memorable experience. Highly recommended!

I popped in last Friday at 4:30 as a solo diner and had a really great experience. The staff were unbelievably friendly and welcoming, making me feel completely at home. There was a lovely, relaxed atmosphere, and you could tell they genuinely cared about each other making sure everyone was looked after. The food was excellent really well cooked and full of flavor. If I had to nitpick, I’d say the lasagna had a bit too much pasta for my liking, but honestly, that’s just a small thing in what was an otherwise fantastic meal. Overall, a brilliant spot with topnotch service and great food. I’ll definitely be back!

Looking for authentic and refreshing Italian food then one should visit pasta bar at Blackrock. Pizza was fresh melting in the mouth. Pasta was delicious. Service was a added cherry on top. Soujanya the waitress, looked after us the whole time and surprised our 6yr old son on his birthday. Thank you 😊. Spread the word, it's indeed worth a try and I will be going back again.

We went here as a big group and the food was absolutely smashing! We all got different types of pastas and every single one of them was bursting with flavour. I went here for dinner with two colleagues recently. One was visiting from Spain, so I wanted somewhere local but special. I’d passed the restaurant before but had never been in, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It was a Wednesday night, and the place was absolutely buzzing. Busy but not loud, so we could chat easily. I had called ahead to check about gluten-free options (I’m coeliac), and when we arrived, our waitress, I think her name was Eni, immediately knew there was one gluten-free in the group, which really impressed me. She was so friendly and professional, and the service overall was brilliant. We all went for pasta (even though the pizzas looked incredible), and honestly, my gluten-free pasta was gorgeous. The food, the wine, the atmosphere — everything was just perfect. You could tell everyone working there really cared about the experience. Such a lovely surprise, my colleagues loved it too. I’ll definitely be back soon with my family.

Fantastic place — amazing food, super friendly staff, and most importantly… I checked the pizza menu and there’s NO Hawaiian pizza. Not even a suspicious pineapple lurking in the corner. I felt safe. Why does that matter? Well… once in Naples, I innocently asked a restaurant if they had Hawaiian pizza. Just curious. Not trying to start a war. But the manager burst out like a volcano, shouting “THIS IS ITALY! WE DO NOT DO HAWAIIAN PIZZA!” with the passion of someone defending the national flag. I thought I was about to be excommunicated by mozzarella. So when I saw this menu — full of proper Italian pizzas, no tropical fruit in sight — I knew I was in good hands. Delicious food, great vibes, and zero risk of being yelled at by a passionate Italian defending the honor of basil. Highly recommend. Especially if you, too, have pineapple-related culinary trauma. 🍝

Fantastic restaurant. The food is really good. I had the tartufo carbonara and wife had the world champion pizza. Both are very delicious. The staff was fantastic and services are great. It's just 4 mins walk from Balckrock public parking, go through the small alleyway beside the church.

I stopped in for a quick lunch between clients in the area and I really enjoyed it. The Spaghetti Carbonara was delicious & ready quickly, and I even received a complimentary portion of fresh garlic pizza bread which was great for enjoying the last bit of sauce of my carbonara. The staff were helpful and attentive. The restaurant was quiet as it was monday lunchtime but there were still a few other diners & the atmosphere was good for the time & day concerned. I’d imagine the restaurant is very popular during more popular times.

It was my mum's first day in Ireland and I took her for dinner here. My god, the best decision ever! We loved the food and the service was super friendly. The waitress was lovely and suggested the most appropriate dishes for us since we wanted vegetarian food. The atmosphere and vibe is perfectly elegant and overall we loved the place! I'll definitely come back here and would recommend this place for anyone who's looking for great Italian food!

truly one of the best italian places in dublin! considering it’s so far away from us, my partner and i are always willing to travel upwards to an hour just to go here for dinner! all of the pasta tastes so fresh and delicious, the pizza is perfect, the pesto is especially something you need to try. all the people working here are always so kind and make you feel very welcome. the atmosphere is perfect for a meal.

Ordered online, the pasta was okay, definitely fresh but not fantastic by any means. Service was somewhat slow, taking just over an hour to get from Blackrock to stillorgan. The bruschetta was poor though unfortunately. Very expensive for the quality of the product.

As much as I wanted to love it, there was just somethings that were off about this place. Because a few small changes would have made a world of a difference, I leave this review to be considered. We chocked it up to three areas for improvement - resource allocation, organization, and timeliness. Understandable, they were busy, but still it felt disorganized and unfriendly. When we did speak to people, they were nice enough but honestly, the food was overall okay. Pizza was quite soggy and doughy while the pasta special was underwhelming. Our server took quite a while before greeting us, we actually flagged down a different server just to ask questions and hear the specials. Our server was working with quite a few tables but I also noticed he was cleaning up and setting up other tables through there seemed to be more than enough other folks merely standing around looking busy. This excludes the pizza makers, pasta maker, and bartender who were all organized and methodical in attending to the work <3. We even noticed the pizza makers asking for food runners three times over to deliver a single batch of pizzas, who were met with attitude in response to the highly reasonable requests, very strange. Since we were passing through, it’s likely we won’t return but sincerely hope that something is done in these areas to allow for a more relaxed dining and work experience for everyone involved. 🫶🏽

Food was amazing and to be fair quite reasonably priced - staff were nice but there was just one thing that really bugged me - minor, yes, but still bugged the hell out of me! My partner ordered still water - the waiter didn’t ask her “bottle water or tap?” Instead just assumed and brought a bottle of water costing €6.50!!! Left a bad taste for a really nice restaurant - €6.50 for a bottle of water is criminal! Visited restaurant on 07th February 2026 @ 6.30pm €80 bill - Will visit again won’t make the same mistake!

I rarely leave reviews, and normally is five stars. But this time, I really felt I had to say something. My partner ordered two takeaway dishes from this restaurant: one lasagna and one prawns pasta. When we got home, I was genuinely shocked by the portion sizes. The price paid versus the amount of food received is simply unacceptable. The shrimp pasta, in particular, cost 21.90, and I am not exaggerating when I say you could literally count the prawns .There were five very small pieces. For that price, it felt ridiculous. This isn’t about unrealistic expectations it’s about basic fairness. When you order takeaway, you expect a portion that makes sense for what you’re paying. What we received felt more like a sample than a proper meal. It was extremely frustrating and, honestly, felt disrespectful to the customer. Quality matters, but quantity has to be reasonable too.packaging size below 👇🏻 Unfortunately, this experience was enough to make us think twice before ordering again.

Really disappointed with this and won't be back. I wanted to leave this review as soon as possible to be fair and transparent. This was our first time ordering from here on the back of solid reviews. We have arrived home 5mins ago and my pizza is luke warm and the cheese is barely melted as per images. The pizza was ordered at 5:30 and we collected at 5:52. My wife said the pizzas were sitting out on arrival. It looks to me like my pizza was simply not in the over for long enough. To be fair my wife's pizza looks good and she is enjoying it. We live about 800m from the restaurant. My cheese is completely unmelted and the base was cool to the lip. I don't have the energy or patience to pop back down nor should I have to, it's gone into the microwave to heat up which is really disappointing. The atmosphere inside looked good.

I had an experience that was not quite as pleasant as I had expected at this restaurant. My husband had made a reservation in advance, and we arrived on time. However, two walk-in guests were seated before us, and when it was finally our turn, we were given what seemed to be the least desirable table in the dining room …squeezed between the staff service station and the restroom. Not to mention the backless chair, which was extremely uncomfortable. I politely asked if we could move to another table, and the manager informed us that this would only be possible after one hour. On a positive note, the food was very good. I ordered the rigatoni all’amatriciana, and my husband had the ricotta and spinach cappellaccio. Both dishes were well served and flavorful. Unfortunately, the staff attending our area did not give any attention to our table. In summary, while the food was good, the service was disappointing enough that we would not choose to return. Great food for a lazy Friday night via Deliveroo but dining at the restaurant? Never again.
