Went here for our anniversary dinner. It was absolutely delicious, the food was 10/10. Best tiramisu I’ve had in my life. Service was wonderful as well our waitress was very nice.

We wanted a little classy on our vacation and decided to try Belliso's. I can say none of us were disappointed. The food was perfectly done and the flavor was spot on. We had the Chicken Marsala and the Shrimp and Lobster Linguine. Two of us splint the Linguine and they brought it out on two separate plates. We chose to sit outside on the little patio at night. The obiounce was perfect and you felt like a little like Italy. Our server was Josh and he was very attentive and friendly. He did an awesome job and we wanted to make sure he gets the recognition he earned! If you are hanging out in Canal Park looking for a good Italian spot this is your spot

Worth a splurge! The interior was very classy, and my husband and I worried we were underdressed, but the service was so friendly that our fears quickly passed. Every host and server greeted us with a smile, and our waiter, Josh, took great care of us. We started with the Artisan Cheese Platter (excellent), and I enjoyed the super flavorful Pappardelle Seafood Puttanesca and my husband had the Walleye Milanese. There were an overwhelming amount of wines to choose from, so if you’re a wine snob, this place is a must-visit (my husband and I just Googled what wines pair well with our entrees). For dessert, we enjoyed a great creme brulee that wasn’t too sweet. I took home plenty of leftovers.

We stumbled on this place during a roadtrip and wow! The best service we have had in our travels by far. Then the food was just amazing! The bolognese was fantastic as well as the seafood angel hair pasta dish. If you're in the mood for great Italian and amazing service, we highly recommend.

We stopped in one evening after hiking all day up the north shore. When we walked in, we felt we were not dressed up to the required level, but they assured us we were very welcome, regardless how we were dressed. The food was delicious and the service was superb. We will be coming here again, but this time we will shower and wear nicer clothes!

This location is a go to for many tourist and locals in the area. I was pleased at how large the dinner portion was. It was absolutely delightful. I could eat pasta daily if it wouldn't mess with NY waistline! Lol. But the best part of this location are the wine flights. UNBELIEVABLE prices with GENEROUS pours!!!! Don't forget to smile often, be grateful, and be kind, it's contagious!!!!!

It’s so nice to have such friendly, smiley staff. Makes the experience so good. Our waitress was sweet and prompt. Dinner and dessert was delicious. The seafood entrees are so good. And get the carrot cake to SHARE!

This restaurant certainly lived up to its reviews. The decor is fantastic. The service was excellent. And the food was incredible.

The food was just amazing. I ordered Lobster and Shrimp Linguini while my partner ordered Gnocchi. We ended our night with dessert of toffee cake(which was fantastic) and crème brulle. Definitely recommend it to try it out. The menu is bit pricey but totally worth it.

I was in Duluth by myself and walked in here and sat at the bar. I had the best service. The food was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and my drink was delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an upper scale Italian meal.

We ate on the patio. It was clean, quite and well served. The food was great! We had the walleye milanese and the beef tenderloin. The mixed drinks were perfect, and desert was so yummy!

A super restaurant. The wine list is large. If you move away from the national brands there are some excellent wines to pair with the food. The fresh catch was great. Salmon with asparagus and angel hair pasta with a wonderful cream sauce. Their Italian offerings are so tasty. The service is excellent. Very comfortable and warm atmosphere. Don't miss this restaurant if in Duluth.

Bellisio’s one of the best Italian restaurants in a Duluth area, always with good customer service. They will try to do everything to make sure that you won’t leave disappointed. In addition to their food options they have a large wine list and good martini.

Highly recommend the tenderloin and balsamic strawberry appetizer, rigatoni balsamico, and the lobster ravioli. That being said, I haven't tried anything there that I didn't like. They also allow dogs in the outdoor dining areas, so that was also a plus.

If you're booking a stay in Duluth's Canal Park area, or you know you will be there, I suggest making a reservation for Bellisio's because it was amazing. We went there on a Friday night for dinner and found out that the wait was going to be over 90 minutes and was suggested that reservations were the way to get in, so we made reservations for lunch the following day. Lunch time probably didn't need reservations however they did say they were booked out for Saturday night as well, so this is something to do in preparation so you know you can get in if you want to have dinner. The wait staff was well trained and what you could expect from a higher class restaurant, the building is beautiful and it's right in the heart of Canal Park. While not the place where I would think Italian food of this caliber would exist, Bellisio's was a knock out. The noodles were done to perfection and were a high-quality, the sauce was old-world style and the meatball on my spaghetti was a 10 out of 10 for sure. Lemon aid was not fountain and something I enjoy at as many places as I can get it and theirs was done very well. Prices were good for the quality of the food and the atmosphere. I'll be coming back to try the rest of the menu, and each time I book a room in Duluth, this will be the phone call right after my hotel reservation.

Get the gnocchi it’s handmade and better than anything I have ever had. Service was great, food came out quick and everything from the bread to the tiramisu was phenomenal.

Ordered the Tenderloin and Basalmic Strawberries Starter, Gnocchi, Italian Sausage Risotto, Fettuccine Alfredo, and Rigatoni. Friendly staff and the food was wonderful!

J

The food here is amazing! Prices are reasonable for fine dining, but would be considered high if you were feeding a family or comparing to a chain like Olive Garden. There is no comparison between Bellisio's and Olive Garden as far as food quality. The Lobster cream sauce is amazing!

Excellent, highly recommend! I've wanted to dine here for years, and my daughter treated me for my birthday. VERY busy for a Sunday evening, but our server, Peter, was very attentive. The walleye Milanese was outstanding! Can't wait to go back. Thanks for a great experience!

The lobscargo was so amazingly good. The grilled pineapple with the grilled shrimp was perfect. The carrot cake was everything promised and more. The service was excellent and we will be back!

I always try to visit this quaint Italian restaurant when I come to Duluth. Located on Lake Ave near the Lift Bridge. On this visit I had two of my best friends with me, and hoping they would love this place as much as I do. I've never been disappointed with a meal here. They have a great wine selection, and offer wine flights, which is always fun to sample different selections. I ordered their special which was a 3 course meal wih Caesar Salad, ( and yes, you can have the dressing on the side), 3 entrees to choose from and Tiramisu for dessert. I ordered the Chicken Milanese with capers and real mash potatoes. I surprised myself and ate the whole thing. Our waitress told us this was her first night going solo. She was more like a pro. Very attentive and personable to our table. Covid protocol still in place. Reservations are highly recommended. My friends enjoyed their meal and now have a new place to bring their friends the next time they're in Duluth.

Food and service was excellent. Shrimp and lobster linguini is a must!

Nice place. Large wine list. Good food, if you like Italian. I had the special (Italian Cantaloni) which is not on the menu (pictured). Lobster stuffed pasta smothered with cheese, lobster sauce and garnished with three grilled shrimp and red and yellow beets. I liked how the beet flavor complimented the pasta. The lobster was tasty and the grilled shrimp was wonderful. The dish was very rich and filling. The restaurant was clean and comfortable and the service was good. Prices were as expected for an upscale Italian restaurant.

delizioso! squisito! Monday nights are 50% off bottles of wine. They have a decadent menu. Including escargot on their menu, they are not served in their shells, but soaked in butter, garlic, and fresh Parmesan. Mucho delizioso!! Plus their service is top notch from the moment you walk in the door.

Best Italian restaurant! We go here every time we visit Duluth! Tonight was pretty busy but the service from Chelsea was still great and food came out timely and tasted amazing as always! 10/10 for the Tenderloin and balsamic strawberries, and shared the lobster capellini. Hats off to the chef!! Manager Emily did a great job making sure all customers were taken care of! Also their wine selection is top notch. Highly recommend the Sterling Vineyards blanc de blancs sparkling wine. I’ve tried to find it all over the twin cities but Bellisio’s is the only place that carries it.

Nine of us had a great meal. Everything was delicious. Big helpings. Great server. Classic Italian restaurant atmosphere. Definitely recommended. Pay parking lots nearby. Good accessibility. No steps to speak of. Fine for kids.

We had a great dinner at this gem of an Italian restaurant in our small city. Spaghetti and meatballs with marinara sauce was a blast for our 10yr old 😀 My wife and I had sockeye salmon dinner with pasta. It was deliciously fantastic! Highly recommend a visit, to have some great Italian food and Awesome time!

Everything you will expect from a high-end Italian experience. Two of us went and we shared entrees as we each wanted steak and alfredo, a glass of wine and dessert. Everything was lovely.

Having lived my life around excellent Italian and Italian-American cuisine in the Northeast U.S., I can confidently say that Bellisio's is an excellent Italian-American restaurant with great food, great service, and a lively atmosphere. Our server Molly was extraordinarily personable and attentive, clearly well-versed in the industry with ample knowledge and awareness of the restaurant itself. Dining out is undeniably elevated when the staff presents as fully on top of matters, and can confidently converse with customers in a pleasant manner as we witnessed here. It being my first time to Duluth in general, this set a fantastic tone for the trip as a whole. The Pasta Alla Arrabbiata with Italian Sausage was extremely flavorful and hearty, with an exciting, yet reasonable, spiciness to it. I ended up ordering the Crème Brulee for dessert, as recommended by the server, and having only ever had very traditional Crème Brulee previously, the chocolate drizzle they add was unexpectedly phenomenal, to the point where I am convinced that it should be the norm for all such desserts. My companions were also raving about the Gnocchi, and while I was unable to taste it for myself, I greatly trust that the execution of dishes here is a high standard across the board, and the portions were plentiful, which is always appreciated. The pricing was quite reasonable considering the quality of service received, and I would recommend Bellisio's to anyone looking for a fine quality, meal and experience.

The atmosphere is cozy and unpretentious. They are so welcoming and we never had empty glasses. Between the food and service, I can't tell which was better. Our waitress was knowledgeable and was able to give me pairings for my meal. The portions seem small but they are extremely filling. I had the Sea Pearl Sauvignon Blanc with the lobster and shrimp ravioli. It was amazing.

The atmosphere is always great! We love getting wine flights to try a little of everything before a glass of wine. Our most recent visit was for Valentine's Day and it was lovely. Rob was an excellent server.

I rarely leave reviews, but my family & I had an excellent dining experience last week! The ambience was wonderful, and though the restaurant was clearly busy, everything ran smoothly. The food was great, and the service was exceptional! Our server Josh did a fantastic job, went above & beyond to make our night special, & deserves recognition for his outstanding service. Thank you, Josh, for taking such great care of us!!! AND for encouraging me to try the escargot! 🤤 (My Dad is still teasing me for ever being squeamish. 😂) Thank you & we’ll be back!

We chose this for our date night! It was very elegant! The food was not rushed so we had time to connect. The atmosphere was not too loud (it was busy). The food was very flavorful, levels of tase in the dishes!

We were impressed with your food as always. The standout was our server, Josh. He made it fun. We're used to the robotic service there. He was great with our little ones. Had great wine pairings with our dinners and accommodating of our restricted diets. What a true pleasure. Thanks for a great night out.

Stopped in with my wife before a concert. We weren't really looking for anything special, but we certainly found something special at Bellisios! The atmosphere was very nice, and the food was nothing short of AMAZING!! I had the 12 oz. Fillet mignon, and I can honestly say it was the best steak I've had anywhere in the state. My wife was also very impressed with her seafood linguini. Is it a bit on the expensive side? Yes, but you most definitely get what you pay for. I seriously cannot recommend Bellisios highly enough. If you are looking for fine dining in Duluth, look no further.

Took my wife to Bellisio’s in Canal Park for a little weekend escape, and we couldn’t have asked for a better night. It was Halloween, so we weren’t sure what to expect, but it ended up being perfect—great atmosphere, cozy vibe, and incredible food. The wine was spot-on, and Josh, our server, really made the evening special with his friendly personality and thoughtful recommendations. It’s rare to have service that good these days. Thank you, Josh, for making our night memorable. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Duluth.

My husband and I came in this Sunday, the 14th. We liked the atmosphere, the food was good, and the service was above and beyond. Thank you, Josh. You are one of the greats in this industry. Thank you for the rememberable time. We'll be back!

Food was very good. Stopped in for dinner and has the risotto with sausage and pappardelle. Both were very good. The sausage was flavorful with a bit of heat. The pasta was perfect soft with a firm bite. The sauce was a perfect amount. Everything was coated without making it soggy.

Madison, our waitress, was spectacular. I just wanted to give her shout out at the beginning of the review. Her service was fantastic always around with a smile but never intrusive. Food was lovely. We had the petite filet cooked perfectly to the temp requested. Small quibble on the plate we both thought the mashed potatoes needed salt and we would have preferred an in-season green vegetable to the pencil asparagus. The rigatoni with the balsamico reduction was spot on. Pasta was al dente, seasoned perfectly, and piping hot. Madison had pecorino to grate over it. We also had a lovely Caesar salad to start and a bottle of Ripasso from their cellar. Wonderful time.

Was staying at a hotel nearby and decided to eat here after walking around the area looking for food. Staff seemed very confused that I was eating alone, and tried to put me at the bar when plenty of tables were empty. I wish they would have been less awkward about someone eating alone. Service was very professional, and my food came exceptionally quick. I ordered the Rigatoni Balsamico which cost $28 - delicious and a bit over-priced. Would recommend for a nice meal when in Duluth!

We picked this place because every other place we actually wanted to go to was booked. Anyways really didn’t care for the food at all. Had this samplers of olives which was decent. I ordered the Alfredo and the noodles were not cooked to my liking and it was just tasteless. My partner ordered the fish, Brussel sprouts and potatoes. She didn’t care for her food either. I had my entire bowl still filled when they clears the table. We also ordered carrot cake and that was ok I’m just not into ice cold cakes but my partner loved it. Our server is the only reason we are giving 3 stars he was truly kind and attentive. No we will not go back No I personally wouldn’t recommend to my friends But everyone taste is different so be you’re own judge.

J

Very loud. Very crowded. Great service. Sent food back because Alfredo sauce was separated, goopy, and cold. Neither of us could eat much of either of our dishes even after our cake back. Not good food. Not worth the cost.

I’ve had a good hand full of experiences here as I live in Duluth. Several bad experiences one really great experience and 1 mediocre experience. Today I came in for dessert and drinks with a girlfriend and the server seemed annoyed that we weren’t getting dinner. We were sat in the walkway near the kitchen which was loud and greasy/smokey when most of the restaurant was empty so we decided to politely ask if it was ok to sit anywhere else. The server did oblige and we were really grateful however when the desser and drinks came we were very dissatisfied. We both ordered espresso martinis (which the menu stated are made with Kahlua) they were the most bitter espresso martinis I’ve ever tasted it was only vodka and espresso we didn’t even finish them. The lava cake was over microwaved and became extremely dry and bitter. The butter toffee cake was quite good but we barely received service the entire time we were there. I wish I could say it rarely happens there but 7/10 experiences are disappointing :(. Also, it was $65 for two drinks and 2 desserts that were 2/3 unacceptable. I’m happy to pay these prices if the food is good mind you!

Some friends and I were visiting from out of town and called this restaurant to see if they had openings around 8 PM. They were really kind and had openings for a party of seven last minute.✨ There was nothing wrong with the service that we received. Our waiter was very kind and personable. She helped educate us on the wide selection and helped us select a wine. I am disappointed with the food. Their prices were very high, despite not having quality food. The shrimp was very gummy. There was barely any lobster in our pasta dish. The mashed potatoes was very small. The steak was cooked perfect, but the seasoning was very bland. I was very disappointed due to spending $140 not including tip. The dishes were surprisingly small for the amount of money I paid. I had to stop at another restaurant to pick up food because I was still hungry. Overall, they have a great wine selection, but for the food they should improve on the quality of their dishes. I will not be coming back to this restaurant.

N
Nicole Dillinger

Great drinks & Atmosphere, although the plates looked pretty, the rest did not match. Very overpriced. I don't recommend the shrimp fettuccine or walleye dinners. I don't think I'd return. Duluth has a lot of better options that are both better and more affordable.

S
Steven Reierson

The restaurant was very expensive for the amount of food you get. My wife and I paid $75.55 (not including tip) for 2 standard entrees (no seafood or expensive meats) and 2 nonalcoholic drinks. The drinks, mint hot chocolate and spiced cider, were small but very tasty. The pasta in the entrees tasted authentic, but the flavor was nothing special and my wife's entree, fettuccine alfredo, had a very strong taste and she was not able to finish her meal because of it. The bread served with the meal was over toasted. The server was nice and the food was okay but, overall, just not worth the value.

What an awful experience. This restaurant has consistently been awesome; food and service. New ownership? Definitely going downhill. We arrived per our reservation and were shown to back wall seats. I asked for a table in the dining area, the hostess said she had 3 and 4 guest parties arriving for those tables, yet she moved us to one of the tables. We ordered, I am not an asparagus fan, I asked if I could substitute mashed potatoes for the asparagus and server said absolutely. Asked about bread service, waitress said they stopped that but could pay $7.50 for bread. Ay yi yi. We got our meals, our bottle of wine, and a martini as well. Waitress never refilled our wine glasses, I ran out of water halfway through my meal. Bill was $217.00, including an additional $3.00 for potatoes (which were subbed in place of asparagus). Waitress NEVER said or hinted of an up charge. Bill was reduced to $210.00 if you paid cash. I saved $7.00 by paying cash. I reduced my tip another $3.00 cause the server charged me for something she failed to make me aware of (the mashed potatoes). I also will note that less than 10 minutes after we were seated another couple were seated next to our table, so the hostess lied. Perhaps now that wait staff now make the same as every other minimum wage worker they don't care about tips? What has happened to this restaurant? We spent 57 total minutes in the restaurant tonight, our bill was $210.00. Had we received good service and not been scammed on potatoes, the tip would have been $52.50 (25%) and that's a heck of a lot more than minimum wage for an hours work. Such a disappointing dinner. Food was very good, service was horrible. I think this restaurant has forgotten that the customer should be a priority opposed to treating us as a nuisance.

S
Steven Hatcher

Had to leave a review this time after some thought. Twice now frequently, the second time for our 7th wedding anniversary. Called in ahead of time to let them know about the occasion. We arrived and table wasn’t ready, needed another 6 mins of waiting. Upon getting to the table, we were placed near bathrooms between two large tables. Tried to move they couldn’t make it work. It was loud, and not romantic. My food was great, wife’s not so much. Our waitress is definitely here working her second job and it’s obvious she hates it lol. It was embarrassing, ended up at the Spirit Lounge, in Superior with the wife being much impressed. This place isn’t what it used to be.
