We love this place from the first time we came. Recently heard that we changed business hours. Totally understandable but it’s harder for us to pop by whenever we want. Food is amazing always. Every time. They keep a good standard. The food took time not fast. Steak is cooked to the way we want and they taste wonderful. Big shoutout to the chef and all kitchen staffs. Service was great, we got everything we needed. No one with an attitude. Everyone is attentive and polite. Definitely can tell they short staffed. The place is nicely decorated. Definitely a day or night place when you want a good steak house food. Overall we like this place! Definitely come back and worth the price.
Michie, our waitress, and the bartender were absolutely amazing and incredibly accommodating with my husband’s strict diet. Michie is awesome—so friendly and attentive, we felt like we’d known her forever! Truly a wonderful experience on our wedding anniversary.
1609 Prime Cuts & Cocktails is an absolute gem. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, elegant, and inviting. The steaks were cooked to perfection — especially the bone-in ribeye, which was incredibly tender and flavorful. The sides and starters were just as impressive, and the cocktails? Next level. 1609 is a must-try. Service was top-tier — friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. You can tell they truly care about the guest experience. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just want a high-quality meal in a beautiful setting, this place delivers across the board. Highly recommend!
First time here, and it did not disappoint!! I got the ribeye and it was cooked perfectly medium with a delicious and flavorful char. My bf got the Filet and it was cooked perfectly; tender and melted in your mouth! Asparagus was amazing too. Server was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back again!
The food was good however a little bland. The drinks were good. Definitely will try again, even though the menu seems intimidating we actually didn't spend too much.
The food here is absolutely delicious! Our waiter A.B was phenomenal! He was patient, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the menu. He made my mom birthday dinner absolutely special. Jerry also was amazing and made a great salad! Will be coming back asap
Food was a 10/10. I was genuinely shocked at how good everything was. Didn't get to take pictures because we were taking in the experience. Crab cakes were tasty, nice size for the $. My wife ordered the ribeye with the brussels which was phenomenal. I had the short rib with the rissoto. We also shared the lobster but asked for it to be grilled. We've been to all of the local steakhouses in the dc region. This was right up there at the top!
Sorry we didn’t take any photos of our food. It was absolutely amazing. Hubby had the rib eye cooked perfectly taste was yummy yummy. I had the double lobster tails. Again yummy yummy. Now the wedge salad can feed three people lots of taste. The cream spinach was homemade. We had the nicest greetings from the hostess to the manager and everyone in between. Our waitress was amazing. We will definitely be back. Please give them a try.
Food and service was spectacular. Ordered a bone in ribeye and it was perfectly seasoned. My server Michie was amazing very attentive. Will definitely be coming back and most definitely recommend. My husband and I came in on a busy Saturday and the host Wendy gave us a heads up to make reservations on open table for next time since they get pretty busy on weekends .
Munchie was an excellent server with great personality and character. Very attentive and professional. Hats off to Chef James - the best lobster Mac and cheese ever!! Overall a great experience. We’ll definitely return!
This was our first time dining here. I will say, it was an experience over just a meal. I truly believe this place would be packed if it was a stand alone restaurant as opposed to a jewel nestled inside a casino. The service was amazing. The food created by Chef James was something to write home about. We will definitely be back. Thank you 1609!
Unbelievable. So so good. The baked potato is amazing. The steak was out of this world. Jensen was a super attentive server. We will definitely be back!
So let me say we got the tomahawk steak and it was delicious!! It could have used a tad more salt but overall it was a great experience. Chef James did an amazing job! The bartender Michie and Ebony serves the best drinks hands down! We love visiting and winning!!
First time here and had a wonderful experience. Food was awesome and Cierra is a pleasant and gracious server. Will be back!
I had the pleasure of having Michie as my server/bartender and to see how she worked purchase table, other tables, the bar, and attention to details was nothing short of magic. She was outstanding! My compliments to the Chef and his team on a well cooked, satisfying, and delicious meal. We will be back!
Wow ..what a difference. Our 1st visit was abysmal. What could go wrong did go wrong. We gave it another try and I'm so glad we did! The service was fantastic (Peria was our server). Peria was totally on the ball without hovering. Then the food happened! The head lettuce salad is big enough to share or eat as a meal. The crab cakes were top tier! And the bread...ooooh the bread *chef's kiss*. Dinner was bone in ribeye, asparagus, loaded baked potato (Chernobyl size). Everything was PERFECTLY cooked. Sous Chef James Richey even came out to see how we were enjoying our meal. We found out he wasn't there when we first went so I'm guessing he's the kitchen saviour for sure. Thank you Chrissy Trower for convincing us to give it another try! Summary: food is spectacular, portions are immense and staff is wonderful! Total 5 star! I've been to Emeril's in N.O., Morton's and the top notch restaurants in Vegas.....1609 is in my top 3! #1 around the DMV.
I had a fantastic meal this evening with my husband. Tamia was a fantastic server, very personable and attentive. We had calamari to start, which was crispy and tender. For dinner, my husband had 16 oz sirloin with a side of asparagus. It was one of the best cooked steaks he’s had. I had the braised short rib with Yukon mashed potatoes. The rib was tender and delicious. Huge shout out to Frankie for the cook on the steak! And Erica for stopping by the table. My husband and I have had the opportunity to visit a number of restaurants that specialize in steaks and this is now one of top favorites! We’re so happy to have one close to our house.
Angelica is the lead bartender/server. SHE IS AMAZING!!!! Angelica is so attentive to customers regarding food, drinks, care, everything orders. She people person and job knowledge goes above and beyond. BEST I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED! The Host Deborah is so amazing as well. She takes excellent care of us!!! Great hospitality above and beyond! Chef James! What can I say but nothing less than amazing! Chef James is above the bar! I've been here several times and everything he cooks is spectacular! Lamb chops and steaks are seasoned well and so tender! Thank you Angelica, Deborah and James for making my husband and I experience amazing! We will be back with friends and positive reviews
We came here on a Saturday night and had Angelica as our server. Angelica was fantastic, so nice and helpful (and had incredible nails 10/10). Deborah the front of house manager came by to check on our visit and she was very friendly as well. The restaurant opened up into the casino, so it was a little noisy but not overwhelming. The portions were BIG and for sure enough for 2 meals, and around $350 for 3 people apps/main/ drink. Would for sure recommend a visit even if just for the Brussels sprouts😂
Shaudine is awesome, she is very friendly. She has been my waitress several times and each time we receive the best level of service. Everytime I have came she has wonderful.
The steak was delicious and cooked perfectly; it was tender and the taste was 🥰. The butter was unique with its hint of sweetness and perfect complement to its delicate bread. Beware, the potato and the salad are huge - they could be stand alone entrees. They are delicious. The service is thoughtful and individual to each guest- at least this guest was made to feel special. Thank you 😊
Chef James runs an amazing kitchen and Cori our chef was spot on!! The steak was perfectly cooked and the shrimp stuffed crab was delicious! Our waitress Michie was amazing. Knew the menu and items like the back of her hand! Clean restaurant and great service! Will recommend and be back for sure. Thank you!
I finally got the chance to try 1609 Prime Cuts + Cocktails inside The Rose Casino in Dumfries, and wow—it lived up to the hype. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was elevated but not stuffy. The lighting was warm, the space felt modern and sleek, and the energy was just right for a night out. Our server was friendly, attentive, and really knew the menu. She gave honest recommendations without being pushy, which I appreciated. To start, we ordered the oysters and the crab cake. Both were fresh and flavorful—the crab cake was packed with crab and not just filler. For my main, I went with the ribeye, cooked perfectly medium-rare. It had that beautiful char on the outside but melted in my mouth. My friend ordered the filet, and I couldn’t resist stealing a bite—it was just as tender and buttery as promised. We shared a couple of sides, but the standout was the lobster mac & cheese—creamy, cheesy, and loaded with actual lobster chunks (not just a sprinkle for show). Definitely worth it. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but for the quality, service, and atmosphere, I felt like it was money well spent. This is the kind of place I’d come back to for special occasions or when I want to treat myself. What really impressed me was the creativity and care behind the menu. You can tell that Chef James Richey put thought into every detail, from presentation to flavor. His touch elevates the whole experience and makes it feel truly special. If you’re looking for an upscale dining experience in Northern Virginia, 1609 Prime Cuts is a gem.
All I can say is what a great experience!!!! My server Sierra was absolutely amazing her professionalism and her knowledge on everything on the menu was absolutely amazing!!!! I would definitely come back and hopefully I have her as a server again thank you so much Sierra and 1609 Prime!!!!
1609 Steakhouse offers a truly delightful dining experience. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for a special occasion or a memorable night out. The service is impeccable, with attentive staff who make you feel right at home. Now, let's talk about the food! The crab cakes are an absolute must-try – perfectly seasoned and cooked to flaky perfection. Each bite is a burst of flavor that will leave you wanting more. And the steaks? Cooked to your exact preference, juicy, and incredibly tender. The sides are equally impressive, with a variety of options to complement your meal. Whether you're a local or just passing through, 1609 Steakhouse is a culinary gem worth experiencing.
From the moment we were greeted by Raymond at the front desk it was first class all of the way. Jensen was our server and he was absolutely amazing with his friendly and professional service. I started off with the colossal shrimp cocktail, my wife had the Rose salad. For our main course we both had the 8 oz. petite filet (medium) they both were cooked and seasoned to perfection. My wife had the Crispy Brussel Sprouts to accompany her steak. My sides were the scallops, mashed potatoes, and carrots. They were all delicious. My compliments to the chef, everything was amazing. On our way out we spoke with the manager, sorry I don't remember his name, but he was friendly and courteous. We will definitely make a trip very soon in the future. Thank you
Absolutely fantastic experience! The food was fantastic! Calamari appetizer was very good and a large portion. I got a filet with scallops and everything was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. I would seriously say it was one of the best steaks I've ever had. My wife got salmon and it was great also! Price was very reasonable. We will definitely be returning!
Chef James has a menu of fine dining and creative entrees that are mouthwatering and pleasant to the eye as well. Our dining experience was definitely delightful. We were met by our server Michael, with a smile and a professional grace fit for a royal couple. Throughout our time there, he continued to exceed our expectations of service. We had a conversation with Chef James and from that, we understood why the food was so delicious. It's obvious that Chef James has poured his heart & soul into every aspect of the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant. We'll be back and will bring family and friends with us. We recommend that you do the same!
I’ll be honest and say I wasn’t expecting much from a steakhouse inside of a casino but 1609 exceeded every expectation I could have ever had!!!! As the kids say, “No cap” Everything was perfect. Miche, our server/bartender was the highlight of my night, she took great care of us—I’ve never been offered a palette cleanser until today. *sigh* I love her. For dinner, I had the ribeye and it was magnificent. My husband had the short rib over mushroom risotto— chef’s kiss! I say all this to say, I’ll be back & if you’re reading this review please check it out!
We've been to the steakhouse twice since it opened. The servers are really nice and want to make sure the food comes out to your liking. I was very pleased with them. The only thing I took away a star from service was because they rarely refilled water,.I had to ask for a steak knife for my food, and it took a long time for my wine to come after ordering. Regarding the food, I was very pleased with the lobster Mac and cheese, ribeye, lamb chops, and the crab cake is truly the best!! I wouldn't recommend the cream spinach because it's too creamy and more runny than thick base with spinach. The chef is very talented! He always make sure my Pittsburgh style is made perfect. I wish they would add a chocolate dessert. The atmosphere is lovely and peaceful. Highly recommend.
Absolute perfection. Our waitress was spectacular! Started with the best crab cakes I've ever had, steak was delicious andcooked perfectly, salmon special was delicious. The asparagus side was fantastic! I could rave about this restaurant forever. The chef was so nice and gave kudos to his team. I look forward to visiting soon. Great service and food 20/10!
Had an amazing experience tonight! The service was outstanding, the food was on point, and the wine? Chef’s kiss 🍷 We ordered the Lobster Mac—huge, rich, and absolutely delicious—and the Cheese & Braised Beef Short Ribs, which were incredibly tender and packed with flavor. Great wine selection at a very reasonable price; our favorite of the night was the St Kilda Cabernet Sauvignon. That said, what truly made the night special was Miss Akeara. If you go, make sure she’s the one taking care of you. Soft-spoken, full of grace, with a warm personality that elevates the entire experience—she made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Miss Akeara, gracias. You made a great night unforgettable. 👏✨
We were incredibly impressed by our first experience at 1609. Jensen, our server, truly made the evening, with his fantastic demeanor and excellent recommendations, notably the delicious bourbon chicken and spicy salmon in pomodoro sauce from the specials menu. I'd echo a previous comment about the side pairings feeling a bit off—the salmon, for example, would have shone even brighter with pasta or rice vs the mashed potatoes it was served on top of—but this minor point didn't detract from the salmon's incredible flavor. The tuna tartare was my favorite! Although the cocktails took a little longer to arrive than expected, their quality was excellent. We had a great time and are already looking forward to our next visit!
We ate there on a Wednesday night The food was absolutely amazing the ribeye steak and mushroom risotto were delicious. The only food complaint would be that we ordered the oysters and they were not detached from the shell. When you're paying this much for oysters on the half shell they should definitely be detached. I'm giving it four stars because the service was very slow. There were only two tables in the entire restaurant and we definitely felt like we were ignored by our server.
Not a destination steakhouse but it’ll get the job done. It’s better than Outback but inferior to Morton’s/Ruths Chris. Just keep in mind where you are when forming an opinion of this place. Couple of fun facts. I cut them some slack since they’re only a month old. Ordered a dirty gin martini and got a wedge of lime, no olive. They acknowledged that the lamb was small (on their own) and brought an extra rack. Water was never refilled but we were asked how the food was twice.
I had the catch of the day which was a snapper. Came out good, was a little over peppered but that didnt bother me, i love pepper. Also had the soup of the day, that was clam chowder and that was very good. Service was attentive except for the appetizer clam chowder came out about 1 min before the entree came out. Overall for first experience was good and I'll be coming back to try some steak.
Not bad, but not great either. The restaurant's ambience is truly modern and inviting. As someone who resides in Dumfries, this is a very welcome addition to upscale dining, and I was greatly surprised by the decor. I've visited many casinos locally and around the country, including Vegas, Atlantic City, Biloxi, Mississippi. When I arrived at the restaurant, it was not busy at all. In fact, there were only a few people at the bar and another couple who came in at the same time as us in the dining area. My server was excellent. The service was terrific, which I had heard was the most mixed part of the experience previously, due to staff turnover and inconsistent service levels for a fine-dining establishment. Akeara was fantastic, I mean, truly remarkable, and coupled with the excellent management and leadership of Veronica Keller, they made the dynamic duo who saved my dining experience. The food I really enjoyed the calamari. It was fried perfectly. The two dipping sauces were fantastic. The rose salad is absolutely a star on the appetizer menu. I was a little skeptical about the crabcake because the way she described it sounded more like a fried crabcake than a pan-seared one. I think had she mentioned pan-seared, I would have likely gone with a crab cake, but I am certainly not disappointed in the calamari, and again, the salad was phenomenal. The steaks were a different story. I think they marinate the steaks, although I got different answers from the server and the manager when I asked; however, the steaks were a great cut. I saw someone get the bone in Tomahawk, which is presented nicely, hanging from a hook, with the Chef coming out to torch butter over the steak and vegetables beneath. I got the New York strip. It was a very, very lovely piece of meat. The New York strip was severely underseasoned. In fact, I had to ask for steak sauce, which is a cardinal sin of any steak restaurant. I think had they used a little more salt, pepper, and garlic to finish the steak It would've been perfect. The cook was absolutely perfect, medium rare. The seasoning was just off. I also got the risotto and short ribs. The short rib was well seasoned, though so much gravy from the short rib almost covered the entire plate of mushroom risotto. Tasty but just a little disproportionate in presentation. The baked potato is by far one of the best values on the menu as a side item. The creamed spinach was a little more cream-cheese-forward, and it seemed like the spinach needed a little something else it was bland. The desserts were another story: the toffee cake I thought would look like something I would get at Hell's Kitchen looked more like a very crumbly cornbread with ice cream on top. The vanilla ice cream tasted great, but the cake was just OK. The crème brûlée was on another level. It was fantastic, creamy, full of vanilla, and had a great crunch from the Brulé sugar on top. What really made this meal so good was the service. I talked with my server about my dissatisfaction with the two lobster tails they were served cold and rubbery. The server immediately jumped into action, spoke with the manager, and had the lobster removed from the bill. Thank you so much. But what really impressed me was the time that both the manager and my server spent at the table. Veronica was truly a pleasure to meet. As a military officer who has commanded hundreds and been responsible for thousands, she really hit it out of the park with her ability to problem-solve and immediately address issues as they arose. She was very engaging and really a pleasure to be with. This dynamic duo, who've only worked at this location for less than 5 months combined, really made me say I will come back to the restaurant, assuming they may have had an off night with seasoning and timing in the kitchen. If there's anything to take away, the food is OK (3 stars), the service from this dynamic duo was fantastic, and that's why they got the four stars.
The Food here was excellent, service was immaculate. Location left a lot to be desired though, unfortunately. The casino floor noise is immense and makes what otherwise could be a romantic and beautiful restaurant into a noisy and annoying environment. The random call-outs over the loudspeaker are also interruptive to say the least.
1609 Prime Cuts & Cocktails is an absolute amazing. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was elegant, and inviting. The food was cooked to perfection especially the lambchops and pork chops which was incredibly flavorful. 1609 is a must-try. The server Michie was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
I rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to this time because this place has real potential, yet it seems to be missing the mark in some key areas. First, let me say that my dinner for two came to $220, plus a $40 tip. I don’t mind spending that kind of money, but with that price tag, certain expectations naturally follow. Our waitress was very kind, but the wait time for our food was longer than it should have been, and my water glass sat empty for most of the night. On the bright side, the calamari was excellent, and my wife’s crab cakes were good as well. However, the steak—my $90 steak—was where things fell apart. I ordered it medium well, but it came out overcooked and painfully dry. I typically avoid confrontation, so I don’t often send food back, but given the price, I felt I had to mention it. The waitress was gracious and had the kitchen remake it. Unfortunately, the second steak took even longer to arrive, so I asked for it to be boxed up. While it was still overcooked, it was much better than the first—flavorful and not as dry. Here’s my suggestion: the kitchen needs some fine-tuning. Consider lowering the prices while the staff and chef refine their skills and establish a rhythm. Once the quality of food and service aligns with the environment and pricing, you can justify the higher cost. The ambiance is lovely, and the potential is definitely there, but the place needs time to grow into what it aspires to be.
1609 Prime Cuts, a newly opened establishment with a promising ambiance, unfortunately fell short of expectations during our recent visit. Despite the restaurant being far from busy, the service was agonizingly slow. We waited an extended 45 minutes for our food, and even then, the butternut squash was undercooked. The lack of attention to detail was surprising, especially considering the price point. 6 meals were ordered which included Two $60 steaks, yet steak knives were only provided after we requested them. The blackened bass dinner was also a letdown, failing to deliver on flavor. The service issues extended beyond the meal itself. A margarita ordered at the end of dinner took an unreasonable 25 minutes to arrive, and only after we had already received the check. While the bartenders were friendly, their lack of knowledge about the drinks was noticeable. It's disheartening to experience such service in a restaurant that clearly aims for a higher-end dining experience. Given that 1609 Prime Cuts has only been open for three weeks, we sincerely hope these issues are merely teething problems. There's potential here, but significant improvements are needed to justify the premium prices. At least I can say the establishment was very nice.
Bartender sucks. Has no enthusiasm or check on you just act like one of those folks that hate her job and don't want to be there. Do not recommend sitting at the bar.
My husband and I were really looking forward to dining at 1609 Prime Cuts + Cocktails, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from start to finish. To begin, the bar was out of vermouth, not just temporarily, but apparently, the entire building didn’t have any, which made ordering a simple martini impossible. My husband also ordered a traditional bourbon-based drink, and it tasted like Kool-Aid. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all (only about four other tables were seated when we arrived), yet the service was very slow. Our server, Shaudine, seemed disengaged throughout the meal. She didn’t smile or make conversation until the very end, when she said, “I’m sorry your food was not good, but it looked like you had fun with your husband.” While the sentiment was appreciated, it came far too late. As for the food, the sides, mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach arrived cold. The lamb chops lacked flavor, and the Oysters Rockefeller were overly sweet due to the heavy breading. With such a limited menu, we expected the dishes to be of higher quality. On a positive note, my husband enjoyed his steak, risotto, and Brussels sprouts, all of which were served hot and prepared well. The chef did come to our table to apologize and kindly offered to make another dish, but by that time, we were ready to leave. Overall, despite the pleasant gesture from the chef, the overall dining experience fell far short of expectations. Between the slow service, lack of basic ingredients, and disappointing food, we would not recommend 1609 Prime Cuts + Cocktails and do not plan to return.
I’ve been here twice now. The food is great and the dinning service is excellent. I really only have a problem with their drinks. I expect a high end steak house to not give me crushed ice with my old fashion. Any good bourbon drink should have a single large cube. Bar service is extremely slow for being the busiest part of the restaurant.
Not sure the thinking of putting a high end restaurant right off the casino floor and next to a busy bar. It was so loud we couldn't have a normal conversation. The food was good but very expensive. The food court is a much better option
There was only 2 waiting staff, to include the bar. They were on top of things as best as could be. The kitchen was running behind a bit and seafood sat unattended for 6 minutes before being delivered to the table and then we had to wait an additional 4 minutes for a steak and fries. The prices were astronomical. If you want a fine dining experience for less of a cost, go to Hell's Kitchen.
As a foodie and home chef, my experience at 1609 was extremely disappointing. Understanding that this is a newly opened establishment, I still expected more. Especially when a brand-new restaurant might want at least to put on its best show in the early stages. Let's begin with the menu. It's poorly curated. Many of the plating options make no sense and they don't allow for substitutions. For example, we ordered the teriyaki salmon that was paired with the "not-so" crispy brussels sprouts and mash. Rice or risotto would have paired much better with seared salmon, maybe even the creamed spinach. The service was very poor, despite the restaurant being near-empty. Our order was placed at the bar and took about 45 minutes for the salmon entrée, a side of brussels, and mushroom risotto. The bartender, who actually works at the sports bar, was not attentive. We never saw her leave to check on the food during the 45-minute wait. Again, the bar and restaurant were nearly empty. Now, on to the food, the worst part of the entire experience. • Crispy Brussels Sprouts: was advertised as "charred brussels, pork belly, caramelized onions." There was no trace of pork belly in the dish. The supervisor claimed that they were cooked in pork belly and should have "chunks," but none were in the dish at all. They were very bland and did not have any hint of pork flavor or were even cooked in pork fat. • Mushroom Risotto: 95% mushrooms, 5% risotto. The mushrooms were slimy, which leads me to believe that they were not fresh and more likely came from a can. The risotto itself was stiff and clearly made from a store-bought product, think Zataran's. It's evident that the risotto was not made fresh and that the mushrooms were added after the fact. If they were fresh, the chef needs to be fired or retrained. Especially for a "sophisticated steakhouse." • Teriyaki Salmon: The salmon was not seasoned in any way, not even a taste of salt. The top was plastered with thick, salty teriyaki sauce. Despite this heavy sauce of top, the dish was still surprisingly bland. The dish was served barely lukewarm despite being overcooked and dry. The "mash" that accompanied the dish was awful. I'm unsure if this was supposed to be potato mash or the mashed potatoes from the sides section of the menu. The mash was essentially the inside of a baked potato smushed onto a plate. They had no flavor, were not creamy, and were stiff like uncooked pie crust. The second side of the entrée was the brussels sprouts mentioned above. It's also worth mentioning that the food was cold, with piping-hot plates. Understandably, this is a steakhouse in a casino. However, I've had better dining experiences at Texas Roadhouse or T.G.I. Friday's. For the prices of these dishes, I expected way more. I also expected more simply due to the fact that the grand opening was less than 2 weeks ago and the service is already lacking. I don't see this restaurant standing the test of time. The ambiance oversells the dining experience you will have. You will also have to step out to the casino floor for restrooms, as 1609 is not equipped with separate restrooms inside the restaurant. I will stick to just visiting 1609 for White Claws during my visit to the Rose.
Restaurant is in the middle of the Rose casino, we were unable to complete our dining experience, they will not allow children.
I took my wife here for our first date night in quite a while and it was a huge disappointment. The service was absolutely horrible. We saw our waitress only a handful of times and she did not check on the food, us, or even refill waters. It was so bad I had to flag down random waitresses to get water and ask for the check. The drinks while tasted good did not have a hint of alcohol in them. The apps were good but it’s also kind of hard to mess up shrimp cocktail. My steak had so much salt on it that I could not eat it. Overall the staff here is wildly inexperienced to be running this establishment. It was not a good experience and is definitely not worth the amount of money you will spend.
The biggest problem was that it took almost an hour from the time we ordered to get our food. We were a party of 2. Maybe 10% of the tables were occupied, so it was exceptionally slow in the restaurant. The wait staff was nice enough, but we didn't feel like we were much of a priority. No mention of the wait. No "hey, sorry it took a little longer, but you're going to love the food. Can I do anything else for you?" After about 45 minutes I asked our waiter for a time estimate. After he went to his other tables to refill their waters, it took him more than 10 minutes to return and just said "probably about 5 more minutes" and then just walked away. When we finally got our food, we asked for our check and boxes immediately. This got no reaction. Just a "sure" then handing us boxes and our check with no other expression or comment. There were a dozen opportunities for the staff to provide a "wow" experience and they missed all of them. They didn't ask if we had been there before. They didn't recommend anything. They didn't ask if we were there for an occasion. They weren't warm or inviting in any way. This is an experience I would have expected at Chilis or Olive Garden... if they were having a bad night. I'm sure everyone involved is nice enough. The food was fine. Not terrible, but nothing to write home about. There's zero chance I'd recommend this place to a friend. I'm definitely not returning.
