Second pop in… love the friendly, attentive and accuracy of all the team members!! Food has been very flavorful and generous portions. Excited to explore menu. Unfortunately we tried out sliders at our first visit so we scarfed down before taking photos… Sorry NOT sorry….. definitely order ‘em every visit!!!!

First time here since they moved from Duncanville. Had a couple of top shelf margaritas, lemon drops and shots at the table. Quesadilla came out fresh. Fries came out fresh. Wasn't crowded like I've had heard it would be on a Saturday night and I got there around 10pm. Didn't see a live band like I heard about as well. Maybe it would happen on another day. No issue for me. Vibe was cool.

The food was excellent. We had the truffle parm fries and they were cooked wonderfully, crispy on the outside and hot and soft in the middle. The Cali burger was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The side of brussel sprouts were great. The grilled pesto club was fresh and had a great balance of flavors. The service was okay, but we did not see our server from the time the food was delivered to the table until we had to wave her down to get the check. The biggest issue we had was the atmosphere. There was a good mixture of music but the bass was cranked up too much. It sounded like a kid pulling up next to you at a red light with their cheap speakers rattling the windows. It made it difficult to carry on a conversation at our little two top. Maybe the music would work later in the evening when the place transitioned from a restaurant to a bar but not for a dinner date.

Been here twice. The burgers are solid. The Old Fashioned latte with bourbon caramel sauce and orange peel is very good. I’ve had it hot and iced. Hot is better. The onion rings and sweet potato fries are good. On both of my visits, they forgot to add bacon to one of our burgers.

Met friends here for the Mudhook's relocation grand opening. It was not busy and is a cool spot. Good was tasteful and filling. Despite having a small space with only 3 customers in the restaurant, the welcome and seating were quick and welcoming. However, the drink order and food order were too long for the amount of customers. We had to ask for the bill from 3 different people over 20 mins to get the final bill which was another 20 mins after we finished our meal. We were in building for over 2 hours for a lunch. Despite all of the above, we would recommend for lunch or dinner event with friends. It is a cool little spot.

Our waitress was friendly and provided great customer service. The Lone Star Burger had a great flavor, and I appreciated the variety of cheese options available. While the potato wedges were a bit cold, they were well-seasoned and overall enjoyable. Although I didn’t order a drink, it’s nice to know they have a full bar available.

My daughter and I came here for the first time on a Sunday for brunch. It wasn’t busy so we were seated right away. My daughter ordered the chicken and waffles and found a hair in her food. So I call over the waitress, and just fyi this hair was in the food. She says ok let me tell the kitchen staff. I tell my daughter, 11, to look through her food and lo and behold another hair, which was almost kind of baked into waffle. I catch the waitress again, as tell her there was a second hair in the food, both blond or almost grey. She says well they all have dark hair but I’ll let them know. We were not offered to have the food remade, or to comp that particular plate. I felt there was no accountability. The food was ok, nothing that would make me return even without the hairs.

Live Life

Terrible cooking staff. My friend ordered two different flavored wings they gave her all one flavor, when she sent it back they fixed it by literally washing off the first flavor and added the second flavor and sent her back out wet wings. The drinks weren’t real liquor my tequila was cloudy not clear and management did nothing to accommodate the terrible service we received.

I've been here many times before and have never been disappointed with the food...until today. I ordered a cheese burger and was told it would be ready in 15-20 minutes...no problem... but the burger I got was not fresh and hot...it obviously had been prepared long before I ordered it...the bun was hard and cold...burger patty was dried out and lukewarm and it was served with onion and tomato "hunks" not slices...and my fries were old and cold...Come on Mudhook I know you can do better.

I wouldn’t know how the food was because the waitress brought me something that I didn’t ask for. After waiting for my food,..I didn’t want to wait for them to cook what I really wanted. I went away hungry and a little disgruntled. Being that it was my first time, and since first impressions are lasting…I won’t return. The waitress never came to check on me again. I had my granddaughter with me and we spent the whole day next door at the Kids Empire indoor playground. We were famished. I tried some of my granddaughter’s fries. They were awesome. I truly wish I could’ve tried the bone-in wings. Iris was my waitress. That’s all I have to say. Unfortunately, I WILL NOT RETURN. Also, no napkins were bought to table…I had to go to the bar for them.

Mudhook in Cedar hill - Disappointingly FIRST & LAST VISIT! When I entered I was standing in a very tight entryway with the bar in front of me and an empty host stand to my left. NO one greeted me. After a few minutes and still nothing, I stood directly in front bar, along the 6-8 seats, to see if I could get the female bartender's attention. A man came in behind me and was immediately greeted. WTH?! If my 78yo Mother had not asked for wings from Mudhook, I would have quickly LEFT - as it was, I reviewed the menu; ordered 2 pounds (32oz) of wings bone-in (1lb lemon pepper/1 lb naked/ BBQ sauce on side) for $23 and a $4.50 order of sweet potato fries. My total came to $30.87 because an additional $1.10 (4%) had been added for the to-go containers! I asked how long the wait would be and I was told about 15-17 minutes and went outside to wait in my car. In 15 minutes, the bartender waved to me; I went in; asked for a receipt; grabbed my food & left. Imagine my disappointment when I got home & saw that the $4.50 sweet potato fry order consisted of 14-15 BURNT fries and my lemon pepper wings were overcooked, dry & tough! YUCK! When I called to speak with a manager, the bartender (Samantha) told me there was NOT one onsite & she'd take my information for them to get back to me. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

NOPE!!!! I was really excited to dine here because we passed it one evening and they had a live band. The atmosphere was good and people looked like they was enjoying there drinks and food. We dined Wednesday September 24th, and the food and drink was HORRIFIC. I ordered a simple drink a freaking Shirley temple, with cherries. Seemed simple right? Cherries was spoiled, the waitress Alexis, had someone else try them even she said they bad. Strike 1. For appetizer we ordered fried green tomatoes. Nasty, hard, overcooked. The crumbs was scared to come out They was so hard I hit them up against the table. Sound like I was banging on the table with my fist. Strike 2. Entrée I order wings, can't go wrong with wings right? Wrong, the wings was old and when bite into them they tasted old. Sent them back. Strike 3. Then I thought let's keep it even simple fried chicken salad. That's comes out 20 minutes later and chicken tastes like they fried it in fish grease. Absolutely was done at this point. How can you mess up a salad?

I went in to the place today thinking okay let’s try it. I walked in nobody said anything to us, another customer said I think you can set anywhere. Okay fine we get the menu and we are looking over it. 2 other gentleman walk in and they get a wonderful greeting(note 1). They have a seat I look back they have water and everything nobody still has not said anything to us. In 2025 I will leave a review of your establishment and take my hard earned dollars to a different place. No I don’t want anything for free or an explanation. Do better for the next customer that comes in. I will never go back.
