First time here, but my daughter had been before and recommended! Lots of great options, very fresh and good quality
Great place! The waiter Evelyn super nice and attentive super delicious! Very cozy definitely will come again.
Ramen at Mirin Café is always outstanding. I had the shoyu ramen and my son ordered the spicy Mirin ramen. Both packed with flavor, the noodles were cooked perfectly, with the yummy soft boiled egg broth. It is consistently one of our favorite spots in our hometown. Chili vibe and enough people to know it’s a great place but not too many to feel crowded.
Great ramen place in Escondido. It seems to be on the site of a former fast food restaurant since there's a drive through, but they've repurposed it well and use it now as a takeout for ramen :), very smart idea. The ramen is great, and the tempura is good. Waiters are very nice, and the food comes pretty quick. Would recommend!
Great music, great people all around, great atmosphere. Not a single person in sight without a smile. The staff truly make this place somewhere to remember, and I will always come back. Thank you Sandra for your incredible service, energy, and spontaneous personality. The food is so comfy and reminds me of home. It just sinks in your belly and you leave feeling not only happy but at peace.
First of all, it’s not expensive at all. I am in love with Asian food and have tried tons of Asian cuisine restaurants. Japanese is my favorite but I always think twice before going to a Japanese restaurant due to its expensiveness. One $ rate is rare for Japanese food and I was doubtful about its quality. But I was totally convinced since I first entered the door, the restaurant looked so clean, simple and modern designs with very impressive service and the food is definitely delicious and the price is very reasonable.
What a delightful surprise. I came here and ordered a salmon roll ... and my friends ordered 2 different items and I was able to taste those and oh my God black pepper salad was phenomenal and the chicken curry Katsu was delicious. The steamed gyoza were served in a deeeeeluscious sauce. Tempura was good. I will be back to try other items.. but I'm so so happy that we came here..
ONE word. ONE syllable. WOW! We did not expect the quality and flavor of the food served out of here. We are new to the neighborhood and landed here after asking Google for *Japanese food near me". A little leary because the sign outside had me seeing double, they have a drive thru and they serve tacos. I know right? Let's move on. Yelp Check In, FREE Gyoza. We ordered Brussel Sprouts Tempura (delicious), Chicken Teriyaki meal with Miso Soup, salad (the chicken is cooked perfectly), rice (amazing) and two pieces of Shrimp Tempura. Lemon Salmon Roll (needs nothing except to be put in your mouth) and the Spicy Tuna Roll. TRUST ME when I say, "EVERYTHING we had was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Our server was also excellent. This is truly a hidden gem in Escondido. Don't miss it. We are fans and will be back, again!
Really liked this place! Great food and friendly service here. Was a bit hard to find but that wasn't a big deal. The Mirin in the ramen was definitely brought some heat but wasn't off putting. The pork gyoza was so good we made two orders. Cucumber salad was great as well! Will definitely be back
They have vegetarian options. They now serve beer/sake. I've tried about half of the menu and it's all been solid. It's small and quaint. The staff is great. The service is good. They do take-out. Yes, they have a drive through window, but DO NOT USE THIS LIKE FAST FOOD. Use it for called-in take-out pick-up only. It takes 15-20m to prep your food, so don't drive up expecting a quick pick up. Also, do not come in here as a ramen snob. They are no "5-star" or "true" Japanese cuisine. But they are very good for location, price and what we have available in the area. If you want to be a stuck up "foodie" drive to Convoy.
Small place ,very good food recommend the salmon limón roll, fried rice. I alway go here and will continue to go
I love getting Ramen from this place it's delicious. I always get take out so I haven't gotten the chance to receive full service at this restaurant that's the only reason I gave them 4 stars. The people working them are always professional and attentive in case I need anything else when I pickup my food. It's a small restaurant with limited seating but I never seen it full. The location doesn't help much in putting this restaurant out there a lot, but it's gotten attention from word of mouth because the food tastes good. Taste the Ramen it's good.
I recently dined at this cozy spot in Escondido. The Mirin Ramen was exceptional—rich broth, tender noodles, and perfectly cooked pork. The staff was friendly and attentive, enhancing the dining experience. However, the limited seating made it a bit cramped during peak hours. Despite that, the quality of the food and the inviting atmosphere make it a place I'd recommend.
First time coming here since I been coming to this area quite often. The sushi rolls were great, but just not the edamame as they looked pretty dried and like they just sprinkled salt on the top part only. It is small in space and the tables/seats are so close to each other you hardly have space to back up or walk thru. It took me a while to find it as it was hidden and it looked like a drive thru which I never seen a sushi place have one either. The parking is open but you will need to go around the drive thru to get out because there’s only one entrance/exit. Also, there were flys inside even when the door was closed. I can’t complain about the service because the girl was great.
Its a tiny little place with pretty good food. We got some sushi rolls and tempura and will definitely be back for more of that. The parking was a little weird in the back but I think that was mostly cause people drive weird. Inexpensive and tasty, just the way we like it. Only issues were - it smelled a little like grease in there and we were just maybe a tad too close to people sitting next to us. Will just get it to go next time. Problem solved.
Delicious food!! It's a lovely little place, with a bonus drive through window if you don't want to go inside! I would give 5 stars but our waitress seemed irritated to be helping us. The rest of the staff seemed happy and eager to help. Maybe it was just a bad day for her...it didn't stop us from enjoying the meal and location. Good ramen and really fresh sushi.
Maybe I’m ordering the wrong things here but I’ve been here twice and have been pretty disappointed. Ordered takeout for miso soup, edamame and gyoza. The miso soup was so salty I couldn’t eat it, garlic edamame was undercooked and pretty raw so I could only eat a few, the gyoza were edible but probably were just made from frozen gyoza, or atleast that’s what the quality kind of reflected. Meal was cheap, so maybe that’s why 😂 idk maybe the ramen is better but I paid $27 and only pretty much was able to eat the gyoza. Bummer.
