We recently moved to Escondido and were looking for a local pho restaurant when we discovered Pho Saigon Express. This was hands down one of the best pho soups I’ve had in the San Diego area. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. I had the spicy beef pho, my wife had the chicken pho, and we ordered egg rolls as an appetizer—everything was delicious. Highly recommend this place, and we will definitely be back.
Their pho broth here is delicious!! We ordered the P12 that came with the rare steak and fatty brisket - we were fans of the rare steak but not so much the brisket. But the broth was the best broth I’ve had so far in San Diego and I’ve lived here my whole life; it’s so rich and flavorful. Only other place I’ve had good, rich broth was in San Jose. We also ordered the A2 spring rolls, taro boba, and halo halo. Spring rolls were good. Taro boba was great. For the halo halo, I wish they put Ube ice cream, or any type of ice cream, to make it more creamy. All in all, food was delicious and service was fantastic. We’ll def be back! 😊
Amazing pho, and the staff is very friendly. The wait time is non-existent. And it smells delightful in a clean and inviting atmosphere.
Pho Saigon Express sits on the corner of Broadway and Washington in a little shopping plaza with a great view of KFC. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant seems to be large enough to handle a decent crowd. It was 12:30 and there must have been 25 people in the restaurant. Service is excellent as water was brought, orders taken and food started coming out a few moments after our order. We being creatures of habit order Shrimp Spring Rolls and large bowls of Chicken Pho. Spring Rolls came out with Peanut Sauce and we both thought the sauce was delicious. The Spring Rolls were in need of a tighter swaddle as they started to come apart as we dipped. Good nonetheless, we are warriors so we prevailed. Next came the Chicken Pho. OMG Becky, that soup was awesome. I kid you not! That was some of the best broth we have had since moving back to Southern California in 2022. The Pho had mounds of chicken and a truckload of noodles. It might have just qualified for the Mount Rushmore of Pho's. Price was on point with other places with the Spring Rolls ringing the register at 10.99 and large chicken pho at 15.99. This visit earned an easy 5 stars and a return visit in the future. A must try for lovers of Pho!
Saw this was a really solidly review restaurant so we went to check it out. We started off ordering the BBQ Pork Banh Mi. The pork meat was super flavorful. Tons of Pickled Daikon and Carrots, amazing blend with the meat. We also ordered the Combo Beef Pho which has rice noodle, pho soup and 5 types of meat: rare, flank, fatty brisket, tendon, tripe. Finally I ordered the Com Bi Cha Thit which has BBQ teriyaki combo shredded pork rind, steamed egg meat loaf, pork served with steamed rice, fresh salad & fish sauce. Amazing food, everything we ordered was great and would definitely recommend going here again.
This place offers a simple and authentic PHO experience. The food is amazing, perfect for enjoying with family and friends, or for takeout. The beer selection is decent, and the soups are truly comforting choice of food!
Arguably the best Phở, in the North County! Great family owned restaurant, with great people and awesome food! You will often find the owners running the register, and the kitchen. They treat the regulars like family, and treat customers with kindness and smiles! You'll find the menu diverse, and pricing competitive. Dining in you have spacious accommodations. Parking can be a little hard, because they're always busy. Take out is an option.
Everyone working there was nice we just waited a bit for more water/check. Not the end of the world. The food was great. Bahn mi was so good I saved half for lunch today. My boyfriend finished his fried rice and the crab rangoon were crunchy and tasty. Good stuff! Will be back
Great location, easy parking. The food came out within 5min. We ordered Pho Special #P1 and Special vermicelli, both were very good. Pho broth was good flavor, not too salty. The staff was friendly and helpful. $58 for 3 orders and 3 drinks, reasonable prices. Will come back when we're in the area next time.
Came to have lunch with my sister for the first time and I loved it. The staff was really nice and made sure we were comfortable especially since they have seating outside due to the covid. If your looking for a yummy place with amazing staff to eat at this is your place. I will definitely be coming back again
This place is such a gem! The food is amazing. I'm a fan of the Lo mien and all of their Pho. I usually order extra noodles so I can keep eating the Pho it's that good. The service is absolutely wonderful. Priscilla remembers peoples names, like and orders. She's amazing
One of our go-to local spots when we are craving good Vietnamese food! The staff is friendly and ready to serve you their delicious cuisine. They’re to-go meals are packed FULL in boxes, with all the usual fixings. We are happy to support this local family owned business now more than ever during these times of economic struggles, and encourage everyone to do the same!!
Great food and great staff! Priscilla is always so friendly and happy to see her customers. She remembers all their names and favorite dishes, she really makes it a please to eat there. Can’t wait for them to be fully open again. I used to go there at least once a month for lunch before the shutdown, so I was delighted to see that they are STILL OPEN FOR TAKE OUT AND DELIVERY. They have a great contactless order and pickup service… and of course, the food is still amazingly good. Tried this place after a nice little hike and it didn’t disappoint. Ordered some Pho with a rice combo meal, and it was delicious. This place was so go! I ordered the combo beef soup with meatballs, salt and pepper chicken wings, salt and pepper crispy calamari and a Thai boba tea. The soup was so hot and delicious but there was a lot of tripe which I don’t normally mind but it was amor more than I’d like. Also the boba was good but I would’ve loved whipped cream on top lol. And the chicken wings were so so good! Can’t miss them! Oh he calamari taste a little fishy but it had good flavor.

Nothing beats pho on a rainy day. Pho Saigon did not disappoint with their beef pho my wife absolutely devoured her veggie pho. Only gripe is the add on prices seemed a little outrageous to me.

First time here. Was seated in a timely manner, no wait. I ordered calamari which was a little to salty for my taste. The accompanying sauce was good though. The Well-done pho was okay as well. My cousin and I got served one plate of the toppings to share. We're used to having one plate each, which this is different. The lemonade tasted artificial, but it was still okay. Overall, the staff was friendly and the actual food was okay.
We used to frequently visit here but its been a few years. We had a group of 15 and it was ok. The waitress was sneezing and coughing while taking our order. ( a few were sick with a cold about 3 days later). The food came out pretty quickly, it was hot but we didn't know they us MSG. Our stomachs were not doing well after. 😕 We wont be qoing back again.
This restaurant is far too expand tonight for what they offer. Food was all right. I also know prices have gone up all over and I am understanding of that. I have got better food other places for same prices. All and all, I give it a 3. 2 for Google.
#update # Back to give it a try. Its just okay. Fried calamari not like it. To dry and hard. Different from japanese restaurant. Well every restaurant have they own style. Lemongrass Fish Fillet is good. Pho is average. Place is clean but service is not too good. #oldest #No social distance!!! Around san diego and try this place but when go there, place is line up with people want to dine in, pick up & order to go. And for dine in is almost full too. They dont skip one table. I just leave.
