Blu On The Water

Had a wonderful lunch here. Sat outside along the rail under an umbrella. It was quiet and easy to talk with a friend. Awesome fries and their lobster roll had a 20% discount for lunch.

We were traveling through RI and decided to stop by Blu during happy hour. Our waitress Riley was phenomenal. She was super sweet, always on top of everything! She offered refills before our drinks/apps were finished. Very knowledgeable about the food served as well. My husband and I had the "buck-for-shuck" oysters and clams, as well as the NE clam chowder for appetizers. For entrees, I ordered a lobster roll with fries for myself, which was amazing. My husband had the cod dish, which was served with broccoli and mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious! Great service! Great views of the harbor. We enjoyed watching the jellyfish from where we sat. We had the high-top table by the water outdoors. It was great.

Outstanding restaurant on a beautiful waterfront setting. Enjoyed a delicious cup of New England Clam Chowder, Sticky Calamari, Beet & Burrata Salad, and a Jalapeño Smash Burger. The drinks were fantastic. We ordered a red sangria, summer of ‘69, and a jugo verde. Everything from the service, vibe, and food was fantastic.

What’s not to love, great on the water atmosphere with down to earth friendly service. We didn’t have any cocktails, but we did order their famous lobster salad sandwich, traditional cold style. A huge portion, especially for their early lunch special price (between 11:30-12:30) of $23.99, crazy! Now my wife and I both prefer a dryer, less mayonnaise style, with celery, however, the size of the lobster chunks made up for the extra mayo and no celery, to the point when it’s definitely one of the top 3 lobster salad sandwiches I’ve ever had. Btw, the fries were excellent too. I also ordered their red manhattan clam chowder and it was stuffed with clams in a luscious, somewhat red potato broth, again here, one of the best red chowder variants I’ve ever had. We will definitely be returning for another early lunch special.

We dined here for the first time this past Sunday. We made a reservation and were seated right away. The view is fantastic, ambiance is lovely and the music, although not my style, was still enjoyable. Lyndsey was our server and she was great! She made suggestions and recommendations, she was always available when we needed anything and was very pleasant. We enjoyed crab cakes, lobster rolls and several creative cocktails. We are looking forward to returning soon!

This is a great seasonal summer restaurant . It’s located in the heart of East Greenwich , and is one of the best summer entertainment locations in the area. They have great food , and amazing dock side patio seating , outside bars , live entertainment , valet available , and a great staff . They also have boat access , so you can also use their dock to pull up on your boat and get food to go . Entertainment , well they usually get the best bands weekly to perform there . Nightlife on a weekend is amazing here , people can come low key off the boat , or you can dress to impress. They are pet friendly , I see dogs their all the time . But I imagine your pet had to be well behaved. It’s gets really crowded , so I’d recommend if your eating to always make a reservation well in advance. This is probably one of my fave places to go in the summer . If you haven’t been you should check it out . If your from the area , most likely you have been here lol.

Lovely dining experience on the deck overlooking the water. Excellent server! CT LOBSTER ROLL (served warm with butter) was perfect. I do not recommend the Mahi Tacos: very dry, overcooked tuna.

Had a seat outside and it was great. We had fried sticky calamari, shrimp cocktail, it was very delicious 😋. We also listened and dance to the band Smashbox. We had a great time....can't wait to go back.

Blu On The Water in East Greenwich is an excellent seafood restaurant with a great menu that includes some very unique and tasty dishes that you can’t find anywhere else in the area. We went for a late lunch and were promptly seated on the outside deck per our request. We started with a watermelon sangria, crisp, light and sweet. This was followed by a half dozen local oysters that were served on a bed of ice with all the traditional accompaniments. We also got the fruta picante which included watermelon, mango and cucumber lightly seasoned with tajin. The tanjin provided a unique and different flavor experience to the cucumber and fruit. The drinks and appetizers were superb and cleansed our palettes for the next course, lobster meat tacos. This dish was absolutely delicious. The meal included two tacos which was perfect since we shared everything. The tacos included a mango salsa and avocado blend that was both tasty and subtle which allowed the lobster flavor to break loose. This was followed by a house salad and the Crispy Shrimp Boa Buns. Again we were pleasantly surprised with an unexpected mix of crispy shrimp, sweet boa bun that also had a crunch, and more blend involving avocado and coleslaw and other delicious flavors. We capped off this exquisite lunch with the key lime pie, perfectly sized for sharing and slightly sweet with a tart flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant for 5 star dining in a delightful water view marina setting. Well done!

The bartenders this morning were absolutely wonderful - very sweet, personable, and patient. The 20% off Lobster Roll before 12:30 got me convinced to try my very first lobster roll and it was great! Also, love that the place was dog friendly :)

Everything about this place was perfect. Live music, great drinks, amazing food, spectacular service. 100% going again.

Ashley and Jenna are THEE BEST!!! My 3rd time here in 10 days and let me tell you, the hospitality, service, drinks and conversation are AMAZING! They are quick, easy going yet professional! I will definitely come here again and again and again to see these fabulous ladies!

Phenomenal choice in the marina. Great food and fantastic service. Bonus was the local guy with a pet duck that followed them around. The lobster roll was spot on. Having just eaten this at 4 other restaurants, this was the best of all. Not saturated in butter like so many rolls are. Perfectly done.

We loved it here. Our server always so nice and made great recommendations, she was also attentive. Food came out quick and the drinks were amazing!

Went for lunch today . It could not have been more pleasant ! I believe we had the best corner booth on the deck outside . Picture perfect weather . Had a few amazing creative drinks .. food was delicious !! But Our server Reilly was so sweet ! So attentive & spot on .!!!! She made the whole experience amazing !

I enjoyed my dinner at Blu on the water. Drinks were great, food was great. I definitely recommend the hot lobster roll. My waitress Madison was great. She made the evening enjoyable. My friends and I will be back!

We went there today to celebrate my sister's Birthday. Our server Jodi was phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal. She upsold without being pushy. And she read us and our needs perfectly. She was simply amazing. We had a great experience today. Thank you.

We ate there Saturday night and I had the surf and turf, my wife had the Mahi mahi and my mother had the crab cakes. The food was excellent! Abby was our waitress and she was very polite. The live music was a bonus and water front atmosphere was terrific. It was great night. Thank you

i came here with my family on a monday and had the best meal, and i also enjoyed the half off bottle of wine deal. The corn succotash that came with the crab cakes were delicious. My server, Michael was so attentive and friendly. I had a lot of questions about the menu and he answered each one with no hesitation. The experience was a 10/10!

A nice location on the water, with good seating outdoors. Food selection was decent and all tasted good. Not a ton of seating so get there early. Update: Food was great and the service was great as well. Definitely a must visit when in town. Plenty of parking with the lot across the street. Sit outdoors if you get a chance.

Live music was great and so was the whole vibe and water views. We ate outside around sunset. Service was a bit slow but not bad. My drink with blood orange was amazingly delicious!

The food and atmosphere here is good - especially if you get a spot by the water away from the bar. I came here twice, one with a large group where we initially got placed right by a live band and couldn’t hear any one. Not only that, we were surrounded by those at the bar and were constantly getting bumped into. Would definitely be picky about where you sit because that really determines if this place is worth it. The food is great otherwise.

So let me start by saying this was my first time to Rhode Island we travelled here with a team of young athletes and this place made us feel welcomed. We walked in to the amazing atmosphere and live music. Brie was our server and she did an incredible job with our large party. The food was absolutely incredible from the apps to the main I had the mahi and I didn’t want it to end it was incredible. The drinks were unique and very well done. If I could point out only 1 flaw and it seems to be many restaurants in the USA are the same is have a system that can split bills to the individual people in large parties. Other than that I give this place a 5/5 the location and food make this place a hidden gem.

The restaurant offers delicious fish tacos and fish and chips with generous portion sizes. They also have a creative cocktail menu, and the location on the water with live music is perfect. The only downside was the long wait times for drinks and ordering, which took close to 25 minutes. However, the servers' attitudes were great!

We had an amazing experience at Blu a few weeks back. The temperature changed quickly on us as we got there. We wanted to be under the tent as they were having a show but it got so cold that we had to be moved inside. Our waitress was very kind and respectfully obliged to our request to find us a table in. The atmosphere was pleasant and fun. We enjoyed our foods, the drinks and will be back during summer to be on the outside by the water. Very beautiful place.

The servers were wonderful and very knowledgeable about the menu. We sat at a table for 2, water's edge, on the deck. Lovely warm weather and Blu was very busy! Unfortunately, the food was not served hot, but rather only warm, so it cooled off very quickly and was cold before we finished eating. I tried their Crispy Shrimp Bao Buns - other than not being hot, they were very tasty!

Good service but cocktails take too long to bring it to the table. And the restaurant was not full. Only few tables 8-9. The food was good, the view is very beautiful 😍.

This was my second time going to BLU and it was slightly disappointing. My sister and I came last year and the food was great. This time it was only ok. My swordfish was over cooked and my sister’s swordfish had such a bad taste, she couldn’t even eat it. They took our drinks off the tab for the incident but it was still disappointing. The watermelon sangria was delicious. We got dessert to go and it was enjoyable and tasty once we got home. I still gave 4 stars because the service is always excellent. It’s questionable if we’ll go back though. It left a bad taste (literally) in my sister’s mouth and she’s the one that lives there. We’ll see.

The views and food was delicious. Great atmosphere and energy. This restaurant was pack and very busy. The packed house didn’t delay our drinks and meal 🥘 times. Fish and chips- delicious BBQ bacon 🥓 cheeseburger 🍔- good Buffalo 🦬 chicken 🐔 wrap- great sandwich Overall great 👍🏿 location.

At Blu On the Water, I found the food quality to surpass expectations, particularly with dishes like the Lobster and Slaw and the Seafood Tower, which boasted rich flavors and expert seasoning. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff catering to our needs seamlessly. While the ambiance may not evoke a high-end dining sensation, its cozy atmosphere contributes positively to the overall dining experience.

Atmosphere was superb. Waitress was very nice. Food was just ok to be honest for the price. I didn’t like my frozen drink at all. I would try it again though. Liked the music in the background & you definitely need to eat outside. We were also cold & they bring heaters which was nice.

The place is very nice with a great view. They had complimentary valet parking; so big bonus on that. The food was good. It wasn’t super amazing delicious but it was good food. I loved the band. They were playing great music and with a kick to it. The only con was the service. We were sat in the only table were the sun was hitting us straight on the face. We asked to be moved and every time a table got empty they will tell us that it was already call it. If we were first, I believe we should have been priority before any new guests. :( hence, if you go on a hot day and don’t want to get a tan, make sure you pick a shaded area before you sit.

Atmosphere is great, service was fine. Had the best Calamari I've ever had. Then I got my meal. Penne Vodka. Please take it off the menu. It was like I was chewing gum. If somebody blindfolded me and asked what I was eating I'd would have never come up with pasta. Also service was aloof. I sent the meal back barely touched and said no to a box and wasn't even asked if there was anything wrong with the meal. Not sure I'll be trying Blu again.

Its a tourist trap type of restaurant so as long as you know that going in, you'll have a great time. They have awesome bars out of the patio close to the water and quick service. In my opinion, its overpriced and nothing special when it comes to the food but great atmosphere with some live music.

Ordered a CT hot buttered lobster roll. Lobster was shredded, tough and not hot. Supposed to be "hot buttered", NOT! I had to ask for melted butter. Only ate 1/2 roll. Wanted ice tea, not homemade. Switch to ice coffee and it comes in a small "juice like box". Would not be eating there again.

Beautiful place, to bad our experience was bad. I ordered the most expensive dish on the menu because I love steak but after waiting over 15 minutes to get our food, my steak was cold and then after waiting over 12 additional minutes to re-heat it was overcooked and dry. I requested the manager and a young man came over and all he could do was apologize but did not offer a solution to make our experience right. I requested to pay for my drinks and my wife's meal and left. NOT GOING BACK

This place is awesome for views and atmosphere. I hadn’t been in a few years, simply because the food was usually not great. Someone gave me a gift card so I came to give it another try. Bartenders at the outside bar were nice. Specialty cocktail with ghost tequila, passion fruit and carrot was delicious. We ordered the wings for an appetizer. They came out looking a little weird, but we tried to bite into them. They were so hard crispy and fried to death that they were inedible. Even the bartender commented that she couldn’t believe how they looked and felt. We were bummed. We sent them back and asked if we could try the scallops instead. Some invisible manager was kind enough to comp both appetizers. But see the photo of what the scallops came out like. I called it bacon dust. Fried beyond recognition. We choked them down since we were starving. The last thing we ordered was a jalapeño smash burger with truffle fries. How can you mess that up? Well the fries were all cold and the burger was grossly sweet. We got it in a wrap and it was covered in grease. It was awful. Being in the restaurant industry for 20 years you can tell this place is poorly run. I wanted to go in the kitchen and tell them to turn the temp down on the fryer oil. That food made its way from a chef, through an expo and a food runner? No manager visit? No special care to make sure the next course came out perfectly? This place isn’t about quality it’s about volume. Drink here, but avoid the food at all costs.

Do NOT order the caesar salad (simplest thing to make) the salad dressing was runny and watery. I did not even eat more than 2 bites it was so bad I told the waitress and she still charged us for it. Awful food. Awful service. Also the band was setting up around us the entire time we were eating so would not even give atmosphere a good review. If you enjoy watery salad dressing, rude waitresses and looking at docked crowded boats then this place is for you!
