This is a lovely Greek restaurant with authentic Greek food served excellently and with a pleasant and enjoyable staff. If you have the opportunity and can get a reservation, it is highly recommended to enjoy their cuisine.

Mike and his team have been so accommodating every time I come here. I decided to take a chance and have El Greco host a dinner for St John Bosco Schools when we were recognized as a model school for Classical education. We brought a large group from 20 states and Canada. Mike and his staff were friendly, professional, and the food was out of this world. We received a ton of compliments after that meal! The atmosphere is inviting, the wine is amazing, and the food is fantastic. My highest recommendation!

First time at El Greco and it won’t be the last. The remodeling turned out beautifully. The ambiance and vibe is very nice. The wine selection is wide enough for everyone’s preference. The menu is authentic as it comes. I’m very happy for Mike and his family to embark on this new journey and for East Rochester to have this gem added to the town!

I went for dinner with two other elderly women. The service was very pleasant. The menu is limited....but we had no trouble finding something we'd enjoy eating. We had appetizer dips which were served with pita. Tzatsiki and a roasted red pepper dip. I've always been a fan of tzatsiki. It was good and tasted very fresh. The other dip was new for me. I love it and have been searching to find a recipe as tasty. The piece de resistance was an amazingly delicious baklava. Thank you for a delightful meal.

The owner came over multiple times to check in and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. Cannot recommend this place enough. The food is simply unforgettable; I’ve been thinking about it ever since I left! The gyro plate is a standout, with perfectly seasoned meat, deliciously rich tzatziki, and warm, soft pita bread. Make sure to start with the chef’s bread – it’s the ideal appetizer to set the tone for an incredible meal. Came across this on a search, saw the solid 5 stars, with 60+ reviews, and decided I had to see if the rating was justified. The answer? YES!! Best Greek food I've had in this area, and maybe anywhere (haven't been to Greece, though). Everything was fresh and delicious, obviously prepared with care and fresh ingredients. We got the village meat platter, and it was wonderful, with the most tender lambchops imaginable. The roasted potatoes are a "don't miss" item, as well as the gyro meat, which was tender and perfectly cooked. The spanakopita and kopanisti were perfect appetizers. Even the pita was just right. We shared a tiramisu - sort of deconstructed - and baklava, and both were outstanding. Our server Dimitri was excellent. We will definitely be going back!

Amazing, delicious clean authentic Greek food!

My fiancé and I came tonight for the first time and couldn't stop talking about it. We are already planning on coming back. The food was so good, fresh and flavorful, with generous portion sizes. We sat outside and it was lovely, the music gave a wonderful ambiance. The owner personally came to our table and checked in on us. I am a pescatarian so I was a bit worried at first that there wouldn't be many options for me, but thankfully the specials were seafood and and so delicious. The host and wait staff were kind and professional, yet not overbearing, a good balance. Definitely try the whipped feta dip and the baklava, both so good! Also, the drinks are half off M- F 4-6, which was a pleasant surprise. We can't wait to return!

We were looking for a new place and came across El Greco on a Thursday night. All I can say is wow!! The atmosphere, the service and the food were out of this world! The owner greeted us as we walked in and was very pleasant. I had the Greek salad with chicken and it was delicious; from the dressing, to the peppers and olives, to the slice of fresh feta on top. My husband had the chicken Souvlaki and potatoes, and everything was cooked to perfection. We shared a piece of Baklava for dessert and it was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend El Greco and I really hope they get the business they deserve. I’m so excited to have a great restaurant close to home. We will definitely be visiting again soon!

El Greco is a gift to Rochester! We just enjoyed a fabulous dinner there. The servers (Noah & Zoe) were attentive & friendly. The owner (Mike) graciously greeted us & checked in a couple of times. The atmosphere was beautiful. We loved the grilled octopus, chicken souvlaki, Greek salad & kopanisti (whipped feta dip). The dinner took us back to Greece! We will return! It’s a must try!!

We had such a wonderful experience at El Greco! The waitress was fantastic, very attentive and offered great suggestions. My husband was sad he had to share the chicken souvlaki with our 6 year old. This was also our child’s first experience with Greek food and he LOVED it. We shared a few entrees and he enjoyed the pita and tzakiki as well as the lamb and tyropita. We’ll definitely be back and recommend to others!!

We had an incredible experience at El Greco. The meal was creative, authentic and amazing. The broiled feta appetizer—absolutely crazy good! The gyro plate and soutzoukakia were both packed with flavor. Mike took the time to explain his menu and food, and it was clear how much heart and soul he puts into every dish. My husband and I had the pleasure of dining last night at El Greco for the first time. I was really craving Greek food and did a random internet search for it and this restaurant came up. I had never heard of the restaurant before. The atmosphere in the restaurant is beautiful and authentically Greek! Lot’s of blue and white decor. 🇬🇷 The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered spanakopita and a couple dips for appetizers and both were amazing. Our entrees were delicious too! Our server Noah was very polite and nice and took good care of us. The restaurant staff clearly all works together because if Noah was busy, then the woman from the bar came and cleared our plates and the owner also came and checked on our meals as well. All in all it was a great dinner and I will definitely go back again and I highly recommend it to others. If I had to give any tidbits of feedback it would be the following…The music was great because I love Greek music but at times it seemed loud so maybe just be conscious of that. I did notice at one point the bartender changed the music because it was becoming more electronic and she wanted something more peaceful as did I, so I thought that was great that she noticed that. I thought the appetizers and the meals were appropriately priced for the amount of food you get, but the salads were too small for the $8.00 price. So maybe adjust the price or increase the size of salad. Also, I would love to see saganaki, and moussaka added to the menu as those are two of my favorite dishes! Please know that there is a service charge to use a credit card at this restaurant so going with cash will save you money. We did not know that but know now for future times. All in all a great experience and we will be back!

If you’re looking for authentic Greek food, this is your place! We started with the Greek dips and pita — everything was fresh and full of flavor. The beet salad was delicious and a great balance to the meal. We also had the gyro pita and chicken souvlaki, both were cooked perfectly and packed with great taste. The Greek lemon dill potatoes were a fantastic side and a great addition — so flavorful! We ended with the baklava made in-house — it was nut-forward, perfectly flavored with just the right balance of cinnamon and honey. Absolutely delicious! We ate at the bar and the bartender was personable and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Portions were perfect, the service was great, and the quality was excellent. We will definitely be back!

Definitely 5 stars , when I saw it , I needed to check it out. Was able to be seated out & has sunshine too. I had the classic geek stable gyro & they severed with homemade roasted slice potatoes slices , with a signature style. Check it out homemade / chief entrées, and dinners made fresh!

My lady ordered the special which was a spaghetti with a vodka sauce with Greek meatballs in an olive oil sauce with tomato es, green peppers and onions. Excellent! I had lamb chops with potatoes and pita bread with tzatziki dip. Delicious. The owner/chef came out to speak with us near the end of our meal. He explained how he learned to grill the octopus appetizer ( it isn’t fried like calamari normally is ). Service, atmosphere and food were all great. Highly recommended.

The dolma appetizer came with freshly made pita, their "chef's bread" and a dipping sauce. Amazing... And the lamb chops? Well worth it. A portion of 6 lamb chops grilled to perfection served over potatoes with homemade tzatziki sauce and pita. The food, service, and atmosphere at El Greco exceeded our expectations in every way: it was fantastic. We started our dinner with the fried calamari and Greek Bites Platter with chicken. The platter was amazing: extremely tender, tasty chicken, olives, cheeses, veggies: it was like the sneak preview of what was to come! We ended up doing a family style share, ordering the Village Meat Platter, Loukaniko (sausage), and a chicken-spinach special. After watching two people close their eyes as they bit into a lamb chop, I decided I would try it even though I don't care for lamb at all. Well - I THOUGHT I didn't like lamb. It was mouth watering savory awesome. We were hard-pressed to identify our favorite dish: sausage maybe won? But no, the lamb? No wait, the chicken? The prices were great given the quality, quantity, and presentation. The waitress was delightful, helping with wine and menu choices. We ended the dinner with baklava, another food that I THOUGHT I disliked... but even that was divine! I also loved the ambience of the restaurant: it was smaller than I expected, cozy warmth! Highly recommended!

One of the best Greek restaurants in the USA, by far the best in the area. Everything was exceptional; a very pleasant surprise and overall experience. It’s clear that the owner puts extra care into the menu, the ingredients, and the atmosphere. 10/10 well deserved!

My husband and I came here for our anniversary, and it was fantastic!! Our selections won’t be that helpful since they were all specials, but we had a delicious grilled tomato with oil, herbs and feta as an appetizer. I had haddock that was prepared with tomatoes onions and peppers, lemon potatoes on the side and their amazing pita. My husband had a gyro plate that was similar but different from the menu option. Incredible tiramisu and baklava for dessert. I love that they were playing Greek music as well, it adds to the ambiance. We will definitely go back!

It is so rare for a place to have a full 5 stars on Google that I was admittedly skeptical, but was glad to find that El Greco lived up to those five stars when I dined there tonight! We enjoyed Greek wine and beer, absolutely delicious bread to start, and some great dishes including spanikopita, lamb souvlaki, and the sausage dish (can't remember the name). Everything was fresh, flavorful, and carefully prepared. Service was attentive and friendly. Overall, it was polished and sophisticated without being pretentious. Note that there is a slight cash discount. We will be back!

The dishes are made with the freshest ingredients, and you can truly taste the high quality in every bite. The food, service, and atmosphere at El Greco exceeded our expectations in every way: it was fantastic. We started our dinner with the fried calamari and Greek Bites Platter with chicken. The platter was amazing: extremely tender, tasty chicken, olives, cheeses, veggies: it was like the sneak preview of what was to come! We ended up doing a family style share, ordering the Village Meat Platter, Loukaniko (sausage), and a chicken-spinach special. After watching two people close their eyes as they bit into a lamb chop, I decided I would try it even though I don't care for lamb at all. Well - I THOUGHT I didn't like lamb. It was mouth watering savory awesome. We were hard-pressed to identify our favorite dish: sausage maybe won? But no, the lamb? No wait, the chicken? The prices were great given the quality, quantity, and presentation. The waitress was delightful, helping with wine and menu choices. We ended the dinner with baklava, another food that I THOUGHT I disliked... but even that was divine! I also loved the ambience of the restaurant: it was smaller than I expected, cozy warmth! Highly recommended!

El Greco is a gift to Rochester! We just enjoyed a fabulous dinner there. The servers (Noah & Zoe) were attentive & friendly. The owner (Mike) graciously greeted us & checked in a couple of times. The atmosphere was beautiful. We loved the grilled octopus, chicken souvlaki, Greek salad & kopanisti (whipped feta dip). The dinner took us back to Greece! We will return! It’s a must try!!
