I love eating at Whataburger! Whataburger is my favorite fast-food hamburger joint! The day I ate here happened to be Earth Day! I almost always love their food, but today the burger & fries were just right! I don't dip my burger into the Creamy Pepper Sauce; I like it on my fries. I also asked for some Verde Salsa for my fries this time. Glad they have it. Sometimes I put it on my burger just not this time. I ordered a #1 meal with a Whataburger, medium fries, and a medium drink. I also ordered some grilled jalapeños on the burger. This Whataburger also had great customer service today! I always enjoy the music that's played in the restaurant as well! Great experience today! I will definitely be back! 🙂🍔🌎🖖
The food I ordered 😋 was tasty, hot &fresh along with the just fresh brewed coffee ☕️. I couldn't have asked for anything better than this! It was well worth the wait time.
Stopped by at 11 tonight after working 9 hour shift. For once the line was not long at all. I believe it was a manger working because he had a button up shirt on. Took my order perfectly and was very polite. Included picante salsa with my taquito which is usually forgotten. Included 2 extra sauces as well. Will probably be back tomorrow night! Really appreciate the upgraded service 👍

Rick is awesome! I went in today to buy a Buffalo Ranch Chicken Strip Sandwich and had a coupon, he was extremely friendly and you can tell he loves his job and loves going the extra mile for customers. Food was exactly as I ordered and he made sure I had my ketchups before handing me the bag. I hope he gets the recognition he deserves!
There is nothing to tell about Whataburger- a Texas tradition now in other states . It is the best hamburger ever . I caution everyone. Whataburger was sold a few years ago and time tell if they really stay great or if new company will cut corners and of course there goes the quality.
Rick took my payment and brought my food out to me. Friendly and courteous! I had one hiccup with my soft drink… the Dr. Pepper wasn’t sweet enough/flat and he gladly went and exchanged it for another soft drink. Well done sir! The food was perfect too!
Whataburger never fails but this location gets 5 stars! The service was extremely good, up at front there was a lady and young man in training I believe as she seemed to be teaching him some things in the screen patiently. I forgot to order bbq sauce and she brought it to my table, she told me not to get up and she would bring rite out. The guy brought my husband and I lids and straws since we did not get any. The food is always great! My favorite is the patty melt with lettuce tomatoes and bbq sauce. The fries were hot and freshly made!
This is hands down the best fast food restaurant I have ever eaten at. If your going to Texas you've gotta stop at Whataburger! The food is divine, the service was amazing, it was incredibly clean and honestly just all around amazing! The employees were welcoming and joked around with myself and my little siblings. Definitely recommend and definitely wanna go back! Gotta get myself some Whataburger merch! Oh and the food is affordable and filling!

Son raves about Whatabuger, so I tried it for the first time. The food was great, and the staff was awesome. It took me a mi use to figure out why, and then I realized it was the beef. It tasted like real meat, not that weird stuff you get at the Golden Arches. I think this place is underrated. Atmosphere seems like it would use a subtle makeover but was fine for what it was.
This is our once a week must have restaurants and sometimes twice. Consistent food preparation and overall service.
Place has really gone up with the new manager instead of whoever they had people. Cleaner. Food hasnt been in a warmer for hours. I will start going here more often

Chase is a exceptional employee and provided service with a smile! The food did take a little longer than expected to arrive, but everyone was hard at work. Loved the Christian music being played overhead. Great job to the staff and management team.
Service was just a little slow, but cashier was pleasant and helpful. Food was excellent. I always make sure to hit up Whataburger whenever I visit Texas! Just beats other fast food burger joints hands down! Also great value for your money.
Came here with my boyfriend and his kids. The young lady behind the counter was more than patient and accommodating to my boyfriend's kids. After visiting the museum, this was a great out of the way place to grab a bite and relax.

I usually not eat fast food I like my healthy options, but if I have to choose a fast food, this would definitely be the one because they’re burgers are fresh and it’s actually really good not packed with all those really bad ingredients like other chains because they’re make fresh
I have frequented this location several times for breakfast. Food is always on point, but they move kind of slow. Waitstaff seemed friendly enough, but there is no sense of urgency. I've waited up to 10-12 mins for one breakfast meal. The "can you pull forward" option is getting old. Plus, the drive-thru lanes are quite narrow.

I was in a rush ti take grandson to urgent care. The order was wrong twice. What child gets a childrens meal without sauce and ketchup. I had to park in front of the store go in and ask for condiments. Then, I was about to pull off. I notice I only got a biscuit. I know I asked for a full biscuit sausage sandwich. The cashier gives it ti me after having to wait. She, tells me I ordered just a biscuit and that's what I payed for. It was embarrassing. I would have paid the difference. I just left. By then, I was agitated. I plan to call the manager. Its mainly because it was busy and the order was doubled checked by the drive thru cashier. I couldnt enjoy my food. My onion rings was cold. However, the sandwich was fresh.
Sandwich 4/10. (ask for bun toasted on both sides, it was not. Fries 7/10 Shake 9/10 Service was good Want to like this location because it's close but they just can't seem to get it right.
Good place to come and eat on lunch, is what you will expect from a Whataburger which is nothing special (only their ketchup) another thing it could smell bad on the inside but thats more if you have homeless people going in, this happens nothing wrong with it they have to eat also. Just eat in your car or take home I would recommend.

The drive thru needs major improvement you pay then they ask you to pull up for a simple combo meal. Only had one vehicle behind me.
Its a hit or miss with Whataburger. But now that I have Shake Shack and Southwells I could never eat at Whataburger again. UPDATE 4/19/19: My friend went by today to get something quick. Her fries were full of salt and cold. The girl at the window was unprofessional. See why I say don't waste your money. My reviews are always honest and fair. I will give credit when credit is due.
I ordered for delivery for the first time. Pretty easy, just 4 burger meals with a drink - 2 cokes, 1 root beer, 1 lemonade. We recvd 2 sweet teas, 1 root beer, 1 lemonade. So 50% correct. Appears the burgers were at least correct. Got zero ketchup. Took an hour from the order time until it left the restaurant. Love Whataburger but this was a pretty disappointing experience. Note to self, no delivery orders.
This is one of the shadiest WB I have visited. If you come in with low expectations you might leave happy. The food is good employees are not good.
So disappointed with this Whataburger location. We went through the drive through with a very simple order. Just a honey butter chicken biscuit, a coffee and a coke. It took 25 minutes and the sandwich was the worst that I’ve ever had. It had a tiny burnt piece of chicken between the biscuit halfs. This is my favorite breakfast sandwich at other locations, but I’ll never go back to this one.
Worst one I have ever been in years, 1 cashier loud, me and another gentleman wait for over 15 minutes for orders to come out. Eggs were overcooked like dry eggs, coffee either was old or very strong. Screaming the orders back to the kitchen. Last time here

The staff here are incredibly slow moving. I sat in the drive through for over 10min waiting to pay after I placed my order. Then waiting about 5min for my food, a sausage biscuit and hashbrowns, to be brought to my car. The restaurant did not have many customers at the time and they appeared to be adequately staffed inside, from what I could see. This was at 10am on Sunday, all though this location is consistently slow regardless of time or day it seem.
I work in this area I have been to this whataburger several times and every time they get my order wrong. Today I had a 42 ounce drink poured my lap through the drive-through and all they said was sorry. would not recommend. the third time they’ve gotten my order wrong. Example asked for a hamburger with no mayonnaise and they put extra ask for no ice and they put extra. They do not listen..
I can’t believe I have to wait on my online order for 25 minutes on a quiet Saturday at 2:30pm while there were only like 4 customers inside, and the app says food is ready in 5 minutes. Never coming back in this location again.
Always have issues at this whatburger. Decided to give them one more try today and they forgot my fries when I picked up my mobile order. Never again.
Drove through after spending the day at the hospital and needed food... 20 minutes later although we did receive hot food, the service was less than desired. The manager was leaning on the counter and the girl helping us just tossed the bag at us and shut the window, no words exchanged. Come on whataburger we can do better.
I went to Whataburger on Holcombe, Houston, Texas at 1 am. When I got to my destination, I happened to notice my shake had a bug in it after digesting half of it. I really couldn’t enjoy my meal after that nor could my family member enjoy the 2nd shake after that. We disposed of our food. I called to let them know and brought back the shake the following day. I asked for a refund of my meal but the manager stated since I didn’t bring back the meal I couldn’t get a refund for the entire meal only for what I brought back the shake with their bug in it. I’m not a happy customer after spending $40 at this particular Whataburger. They have lost my trust and put a bad taste in my mouth “so to speak.” Look out for bugs in your shakes!

Very bad service from the employees. Before placing my order, I wanted to go to the bathroom and there was an employee who treated me badly while giving me the code. So I left and didn't buy anything.
They bump off your orders from their order screens in order to inflate their performance metrics and then get frustrated with customers when they don’t know what they ordered. Bad attitudes stemming from management seem to also make it difficult to have a good experience there, at least in my experience. Doing surveys in hopes of getting someone from their customer relations department at the corporate level is futile.

Temporarily living in Houston , receiving Chemo treatments for stage 3 cancer , craving and finally able to eat a meal ,ordered a Whataburger on a toasted bun and placed an order , this is what I got . A burnt bun on my burger .This is the second time my order has been messed up . Never received this kind of service from my Whataburger in McAllen.. Just lost a loyal customer
This location sucks. The staff are often rude, and they are always trying to rush customers through the drive through. I've had to ask multiple times for condiments. They are also extremely slow to complete orders at times go to the location at main and 610 if you want a better experience.
This Whataburger close by Texas children's hospital gave me very bad food poisoning. I was in the ER with my daughter for about 5 hours already. I was very hungry, so I ate my patty melt with ketchup as I wasn't suspecting anything wrong. Halfway through my burger I looked at the meat and it was very raw and without the ketchup it tasted absolutely horrendous. I was hoping it wouldn't get me sick but the next day I was very ill with a high fever and chills. The fever lasted 2 days and it was very painful. It's been 4 days and I am still currently sick to my stomach I can hardly keep any food down. Prior to me figuring out it was the Whataburger that got me sick, my mother in law got her refund from the raw patty melts. Be very careful with this location. My phone was dead so I wasn't able to take any pictures of my patty melt.
We ordered delivery through the app which never showed. We called and went to whata and they told us we had to take it Jo with the delivery service, BUT WOILDNT TELL US THE DELIVERY SERVICE. they said either favor, uber eats, or grub hub?????? Like how would they not know. Wishing them the worst
I don't like this place. They left the pickles off my burger, did not add mustard, gave me the wrong size drink, the fries were cold and l wasn't given any napkins. The waiter had to return to my car three times and l was still unhappy. Why, my burger was also cold so the cheese had not melted. Why do so many people like this place?

Such a poor experience today, whoever was running the drive thru had a terrible attitude. I had never been there before and tried to order taquitos and she was so rude "well which one, we have 3" with such an attitude, it only got worse when she seemingly couldn't hear my replies. I noticed the attitude and asked how her day was to try and be kind. She told me "I have a drive thru full of cars so I guess I'm not doing so well and I'm gonna need you to go ahead and pull around." I told her to cancel my order and I left, I hope they have recordings of orders placed and use it as a training opportunity. I understand getting stressed but being really rude when someone has never been there before did not leave me wanting to come back. Maybe they were overwhelmed but even so, not how you should treat a customer.
My husband and myself experienced the most unprofessional staff ever. First off my husband ordered his meal and myself a Cobb salad the drive thru employee/Manager asked did he want any chicken he told her yes grilled chicken she didn't even hear what he said nor did she re back the order to make sure. Then the workers that was there all looked under the influence and rude as hell. The whole establishment needs to re train on how customer service works.
We ordered online and drove to pick it up curbside/drivethrough. The drivethrough person asked us to walk in to pick up the order, so we did. After waiting like 10 minutes, they said they couldn't find the order, even though we should them the receipt on the App. Terrible, will not go back. Look forward to the day when all these terrible service workers are replaced by robots.

I’m not sure how NO ONE saw this but disgusted. I went to this WB yesterday around 9 pm., got home to eat my food and noticed my burger bun covered in THICK crusted white power/chalk like substance. Almost mold like . I was to tired to drive back and didn’t even get to eat… couldn’t after seeing this. How can I get a refund or something this is ridiculous and disgusting Update 01/19/24 submitted a claim to WB the day this happened still have not heard anything back. Wow
The place was empty but the staff was to busy talking and screaming at each other to take our order in a timely manner. Then it took 15-20minutes to get our food(again I would like to state the place was empty). The whole time my son and I waited they were constantly screaming at each other in the back, to the point I thought I might have to call the cops. I won’t be back to this location and recommend you stay away from it at all cost.
Don’t ever order here. The food can give you food poisoning. Each time I come the food is disgusting and undercooked.
June 21, 2025. Arrived at 11:17am order a sweat and spicy beacon burger meal large to go. Waited more than 25 minutes for my food, and by the time my food was ready, my lunch was over. They kept on telling me we will make up to you next time but just wanted my refund. The manager gave up after trying several times for me to take it.
Terrible experience today at this Whataburger. I ordered a simple patty melt without onions and they still put onions on it. The burger came out lukewarm and the cheese wasn’t even melted. They need to do better. I’ve had the patty melt at other locations and it’s usually hot and delicious, so it’s clearly an issue with this specific location (I came by at around 2pm so it was fully staffed).
The cashier in the drive thru female does not know what she is doing. I just went through the drive thru at the W. Holcombe location 15 minutes ago. The cashier is a female with very long eyelashes. My order was $7.78 and I gave her $10.00. She gave me $1.27 back in change instead of $2.22 back in change. When I asked for my other $1.00 back in change, she offered me free food instead of giving me my $1.00 back. I told her that I wasn’t interested in free food, and that I would like to have my $1.00 back that she owed me in change. After more than 5 minutes passes by, she comes out of the restaurant with my $1.00. Less than two minutes later, she comes back to me and asks me for the $2.00 back because she needs to ask the manager to do a refund for me. Keep in mind that this is not a refund, this is my change that she owed me back in the first place. I asked to speak to the manager at this point as this is ridiculous at this point. I explain the entire situation to the manager and ask for a full refund at this point, as this is ridiculous and I am unsure as to why I have to go through all of this drama to get my $2.22 change that I was owed in the first place. I do not want the food any longer, die to all of the confusion and drama. I just want my money back. The drive thru worker does not want to let me speak to the manager and tells me that I can’t speak to the manager. I waited in the drive thru line and the manager came out and I spoke with him. I explain that I would like a full refund at this point due to all of the drama that I have been put through at this point. The manager gives me a full refund and apologized for the employee’s behavior and for the issues that she caused.
Went through the drive through and ordered a chicken fajita taco and some fries. It took 20 minutes to get to the windows. I paid and then they asked me to pull up and park. Then another 15 minutes to get a taco. And the fries were cold. Pretty ridiculous!!
I don’t know if everyone’s EBT card got declined at once, but the staff at this location are the rudest, hostile and most unprofessional workers I have ever experienced. Corporate needs to intervene immediately, because this entire crew is just embarrassingly pitiful.
You know... something told me to take myself home and just eat what I had there. But no I decided to not listen and this was my karma. Imagine just getting out of a calm 90 minute massage, thank you Cloud 9, and ready to have some dinner. I pulled up to Whataburger. I go through the drive thru and get to the speaker. Guy greets me and says his name is Rick. Tells me to go ahead with my order. I begin and he says "What?" I repeat it again and he says with his full chest " You need to speak up!" Yeah I hit a full pause. I literally had to process what happened. Instantly come out of my post massage chill and say straight up. Also had to catch my tongue because it took all of my self control to legit no cuss this dude out. So I used to be a cheerleader in college so you want me to speak up, let's go. This guy has a real cocky attitude and just funky vibe. The entire interaction after that is just off putting. I've been doing this yelp thing for over 12 years and I can tell you this was one of the worst customer service experiences I've encountered in my life. After reading all of the other reviews while ruminating in the drive thru line (yeah I waited a good bit as usual at this spot), this seems right on point for how they operate. Avoid at all costs good Yelpers. You deserve to give your money to a business that cares. This one does not.
Jason (manager) needs to go. He closed the window as we were talking to him, while other employees were so kind and doing their best to help while also being so busy and working he sat in the dining room on his phone refusing to help anyone (not even his employees)
LONG WAIT TIME. Does not matter if you’re the only car or if there’s 10 cars you will wait the amount of time of 1000 cars. If you got during lunch time just go ahead and skip this location and go next door to McDonalds or Taco Bell. Too much time just waiting around. Management does not care either. Don’t waste your time.
Every time I had came to this location, I have had very rude customer service and I have walked out both times. If you can't make the number 8 sweet n spicey, you can say it nicely or find another job. Every location I have been to can make the number 8 sweet n spicy.
Got a bad vibe from the staff interactions. After I left I checked my burger. It looked nasty with old lettuce & rotten tomatoes. I don't trust eating it so that's $8 down the drain plus I'm visiting folks at the hospital so I'm out of luck getting anything to eat. Update 19 Jul 25 pathetic as always was going to just get drinks. Stood at register for 5 minutes. Multiple employees looked at us and kept walking. Went to Shepard location and got prompt service.
HOMOPHOBIC STAFF — DOES NOT SUPPORT LGBTQ+ — I want to be respected when I’m spending my hard earned cash!!! — I wanted a collectible cup for the road and saw it was $2 to upgrade. I asked if I could get the collectible cup on the side (since I was getting a meal). They said the cup is $5 if I wanted it on the side. I didn’t think it made sense because if I’m getting the meal, I’m paying for the fries and drink + $2 for the collectible but my drink of choice has to be in the collectible cup. The thing is, I wanted the collectible cup with nothing in it. Anyway, they told me I wasn’t understanding… but I did. That lead to a worker calling me out of my name (a gay slur). Then I called her out her name…but only because I felt attacked. I’ve been going to Whataburger all my life and never had these kind of issues. I wasn’t looking for a freebie — and I did not want a freebie.
Came here at 3am on 6/16/2025 and order a sweet and spicy and 2 honey butter biscuits. The tenders on the biscuit smelly like old grease and was dark. The burger was sloppy and wet all over. I called and the manager was really nasty the half way thru the call her just put the phone done and never came back. I could hear him having a conversation with someone. I hung up and called 8 times with no one answering the phone. There was no one in the line really and we couldn't get an explanation why we got old sloppy food. And the night manager should not have this job. He is really nasty and any manager that hangs up on a customer and then instructs for the phones not to be answered. He canceled my phone call over 9 times. A manager doesn't do that!!!
