Very good authentic Chinese Restaurant. Nice cosy place. Tasty food with friendly service. Need to reserve a table before you go as it is always full. Have few public parking spaces around. The toilets are very clean, compared to other restaurants, I am very pleased about this. Recommend for families

Never been , it was our first time . We were pleasantly surprised to find a good Chinese Resturant with west end food. Food was delicious and they had a really good wine list . The service was excellent and very friendly . Would highly recommend it to people looking for good Chinese food locally.

Staff were very friendly, professional & delivered great service. The place was packed but that did not stop the owners being highly attentive to their customers. The house champagne was super. Lovely atmosphere. Fabulous food. The best Chinese food I have ever tasted despite their being no prawn crackers 😂

Fantastic dinner at The Mira. Authentic, deep flavours, top quality with a focused menu. The Sichuan chicken was a good amount of numbing hot - no skimping on the peppercorns and I appreciate that as someone who loves chili! The staff were kind and helpful - giving us pointers for a couple of things off the menu (the greens) - yum! Everyone throughly enjoyed their meal, can’t wait to be back!

Food was delicious and so clean. So glad they cook without msg. Feel full but not unpleasantly full like at most Chinese restaurants. Will definitely be going back and will highly recommend to friends and family.

Mira Restaurant is an absolute must visit . The moment I entered, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor was elegant and sophisticated, and the staff were friendly and professional. The food was simply outstanding. The chef's culinary skills were on full display in every dish, and I was thoroughly impressed with the unique flavor combinations and presentation. Each bite was a delight to the senses, and I savored every moment of my meal. The service was exceptional, and the waitstaff were attentive and accommodating. My wine glass was never empty. Overall, Mira Restaurant is one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The food, service, and atmosphere are truly exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable culinary experience. It's no surprise that Mira Restaurant has become one of my new favorites.

Lovely staff, great food - but a bit pricey

Wow.. the Peeking duck is amazing. If you ever visit just one restaurant in your life, the Mira has to be high up on the list. From the super friendly staff to the mouth watering food. This is one of my favourite places to go now.

Lovely new restaurant, decor fresh and clean. Warmly welcomed despite the fact I had booked a table for 2 in error instead of 4, but no fuss was made. Noted they turned other people away who didn’t have bookings so this place has become popular very quickly, it probably has only 30 covers (?) so seems booking essential. The food was superb, it was expensive but everything was super tasty, nothing greasy or unpleasant-their website claim no MSG used in their cooking and I certainly didn’t feel uncomfortable and thirsty after this meal like I might with other Chinese restaurants. The waitresses were very friendly and shared a joke when one us asked for coffee after the meal, which they do not serve, but she talked him into a pot of Chinese tea to aid his digestion. A lovely touch was a complimentary platter of fresh sliced fruits after the meal, everything was cleared away quickly and we did not feel rushed. We will definitely return.

The Mira restaurant is outstanding fine dining Chinese cuisine. Last night five of us enjoyed a wonderful feast including superb dim sum, soft shell crab, the best prawn toast ever, real Peking Duck (carved by Tony at the table) and the mouthwatering beef tenderloin and Sichuan chilli chicken (not for the faint hearted) and sauteed seafood. So much better when a small group which allows you to try all the flavours. Thanks again to Tony and all the lovely friendly team. Terry

Had a fantastic dinner here. The highlight was without a doubt the duck, perfectly crisp skin and rich, tender meat. Service was just as memorable, with Philip taking great care of us throughout the evening. Even going as far as to offer medical advice for a burn our friend had gotten the day before! :-) Highly recommend this central London quality restaurant found in quaint Egham.

Possibly the nicest Chinese restuarant I've been to for a long time. Staff were super friendly and accomodating and the DUCK!!! OMG it was amazing. Big shout out to Philip who was our waiter who was lovely and was very helpful. I'm definitely coming back here with the rest of my family. Its a rare find.

This place is a real gem. We've lived in Hong Kong, Singapore and Taipei and since moving to the London two years ago I can say that our dinner at The Mira was the best Chinese food that we've had in the UK. The service was excellent and every dish was delicious. I recommend the dim sum, mapo tofu and beef hofun (very tender). My only complaint is that this restaurant is not in London.

Truly excellent. Recommended by a friend and not disappointed. Every dish had a different twist and all were superb. Insights from the owner on the dishes really welcome and interesting. Can’t recommend the Mira enough. Returning as soon as possible.

Great food, super nice staff, great Place to go. We had sweet and sour pork and steamed Sea bass + egg fried Rice. We started with vegetable dumplings. Prosecco and Pinot grigio.

Love the Peking duck: crispy and delicious ! The Char Siu is not as salty as other restaurant’s but really tender. We ordered the Teriyaki beef , which is my son’s favorite. I think this is the best Peking duck I’ve had in the UK.

Excellent food and service. We prebooked a whole duck which was a great experience and fabulously tasty. The dim sum and everything else was excellent. This all happens in a fairly unassuming looking restaurant.

A beautiful restaurant, very tastefully decorated, immaculate toilets. The quality of the food was outstanding. Not your everyday take away food. Every dish was served hot, tasty and incredibly fresh. The service was impeccable, nothing was too much effort. This has now become our favourite Chinese restaurant by far.

It was my daughters 18th birthday dinner. No restaurant can beat The Mira. Better than any Michelin star restaurant out there. Fantastic hot fresh food !! There is no compromise in quality with their food! It’s better than China tang the Dorchester ! Better than Park chinos Mayfair ! Better than hakkassan ! Better than Kai Mayfair And the list is endless as I have tried absolutely everywhere. This is by far the best restaurant and I hope they never ever change anything about their food and service . The Peking Duck is one of the best and the prawns are absolutely fantastically cooked and the quality 10/10 we do order nearly everything on the menu and each dish is uniquely Devine ! Thanks for a lovely meal Tony and tonight’s team !

Fresh flavours, seafood also very fresh and that is a rarity. The food is a great step up from most chinesr restaurants and the staff are friendly and attentive. One point that is not often mentioned is that it's a small restaurant with not many tables but they don't cram you in. So many small restaurants cram in extra tables and at the Mira they allow space and comfort. I can't wait to go again

Fabulous meals I went to the Mira for the first time on July 7th. The food was incredible. The second best Chinese meal (and I've had hundreds) I've ever had. The best meal ever? That was when I went back the next day, July 8th, my birthday. I can only describe my visits as culinary experiences. The food, the staff, the welcome ... all superb. Words fail me. I can unreservedly recommend this restaurant. Go there, and you're in for a treat.

First time here last night…. It was fabulous. I have never eaten Chinese food that was delicious. All freshly cooked and wow, so so tasty. The dim sum is truly a taste sensation and I could happily have nothing but these pockets of delight all evening. We will be back for sure. Everyone was so pleasant and friendly.

A stunning and memorable experience at the Mira restaurant tonight. The peking duck was my personal favourite and all the appetisers recommended by our hostess complimented it well! We had a table for 3 at the Mira restaurant last night. It was wonderful. The food was excellent and the service was first class and a particular shout out to Phil who looked after our every need throughout our meal.. If you are looking for very special Chinese food with great service then you need to get to the Mira. We will be going back there again very soon

A warm welcome, and fantastic food - loved eating here, and look forward to returning. As others have said, this isn't the standard "takeaway" level of food... this is in a different league. The crispy duck was incredible

Considering what you can get in the surrounding areas, this restaurant provides better than average food. Service is good. Of course it is on the high side of the price range.

Food is similar to most Chinese takeaway restaurants but beautifully presented (apart from the duck, which is decent but you need to preorder). The service and atmosphere is excellent. Overall a decent experience.

We were disappointed by our business dinner at The Mira last night, despite having wonderful experiences dining there with family in the past. The food is incredible, but also expensive. At those prices, you expect perfection in both taste and service - which simply wasn't the case. Our reservation was for 8pm, yet one of our party didn't arrive until 10 minutes later. Even so, we felt rushed through our set menu the entire evening. The service lacked any warmth or friendliness too. Despite being the last table there, we got the distinct impression they wanted us out. The music was turned off promptly at 10pm and the bill brought over. Within 10 minutes, a staff member was jangling a set of keys - clearly a not-so-subtle hint that we'd overstayed our welcome. I get that it was a midweek night and the restaurant probably wanted to close up by a certain time once we were the only table left. But when you're paying £245 for a business dinner with 4 people, you don't expect to be hurried out the door like that. It made us feel pretty embarrassed in front of our professional guests. It's a real shame as we live locally and want to support neighbourhood restaurants. But after last night's poor experience, The Mira is one we'll be avoiding for a while. A disappointing evening all round.

Restaurant with fairly authentic chinese fare. We had Peking duck which was very good. Rest of the food was what you would expect for the prices, which are higher than any other chinese in the region. The low score on service is because the staff are inert in their behaviour, lack warmth, service feels rushed. We had three kids in our party and were told off by the senior lady (perhaps the owner) because they were 'loud'. No body was compalining or even bothered, so seemed uncalled for. So, if you have kids and like a good banter and laugh...this may not be the place for you.

The food is not good , I order fried rice ,too hard! Why hot water is also charge me £5? Why ?! Service fee is £10

Went here yesterday… really regretted it. The door was ridiculously hard to open. Definitely not disable/handicap friendly. My friend and I walked in and the atmosphere was so humid and congested. Extremely limited on any vegetarian or vegan options. Ended up getting some fried veggies that were ehhhh basic and could have just made something better at home. My friend got a pork roast and said it was okay but nothing to rage about. And! Everything was way way overpriced. One of the male waiters was pretty rude. He refused to let my friend eat rice off a specific plate. Very odd to tell someone how to eat when they are supposed to be serving the guest. Definitely not a sustainable conscious business. The other Chinese and Asian restaurants in town are a better choice.

Not impressed. I tried to book a table for a birthday and they wanted me to add my credit card details in case I don't show up. The restaurant want £25 per person if I don't show up. They tried to take the money out of my account. This is outrageous!! They are really full of themselves or greedy. There are so many amazing restaurants out there. Mira just missed out on a customer and I will tell friends about this ridiculousness.
