Food was good. Still annoyed that local business does not understand the importance of making change. Seems the cost of coins to make change is worth losing customers. There is also a cost to the business to use credit cards. Tell me where the disconnect is that a business does not understand the math here or the reputation they make in a small community.

I usually go there once a week or so to get some Nachos Supreme Carne Asada. Personally that is my go to food, and I never order anything else different unless my parents say so. It's gotten to the point where I would say "I'll take the usual" and the employees would know what I'm talking about. Being a loyal customer and spending money there consecutively for years, they have rarely messed up my order. Only thing that bummed me out was the fact that the company decided not to honor all the rewards you get, instead, only one of the selection. For example, before, depending on how much you spend, you earn points. At some point the employees will tell you that you're eligible for a Drink, Taco, and Burrito. Using those rewards, you can obtain all of them rightfully so. However, as of recently (like half a year ago maybe?) They decided that you can only gain one of thoselisted, not all of them. That's the only real complaint I have, otherwise the Employees are nice, the food is good, and overall the service is great!

The food here is much better than any fast food place I know of. The tamales were really good. Plenty of stuffing and steamed just right. Seating is plentiful and comfy enough. The green chilies at the condiment bar were really good. I had never been to a Sombreros before and didn't expect much but this place exceeded my expectations.

I’ve ordered catering several times and it’s always delicious! My guests always compliment on how good the food tastes! They enjoyed the carne asada and the quesadillas.

Girl at the till was very helpful, we weren't sure what to order and she explained and helped with choices. Both of us had the burrito deal..my husband withbeef, myself with chicken. Big portions, fast service and tasted fantastic.

I went almost 10 min before closing and staff was very attentive and took my order. I mention it cause it rare here in the valley to receive amazing service right before closing. Foos led was delicious.

I love this place. I typically don’t go to places like these because most Mexican restaurants in the US are inauthentic and I am unfortunately a picky eater. So believe me when I say that the food here is amazing. The food is always served hot and the salsas actually have taste and flavor, never watered down. This is my to go spot for Mexican food and served quickly. Even on days they are hectic and lines are long. The wait is worth it once you’ve gotten your order. The people here are always so nice and attentive. Never once a bad experience. 10/10 would eat here again. (Already ordered myself a chimichanga lol)

Always on point been living in EL CENTRO for 4-5 years now and before I moved here I used to live in Fontana Ca and I used to work in Corona Ca and me and my uncle used to eat at the Sombreros located in corona and the food has always been on point and soon I will be moving to San Diego and I know that’s where Sombreros is Originally is from so I look forward to getting the same great service and the same great food I have always gotten from years before and from years to come because with sombreros every swing is a base hit in never a strike nor a foul ball, So I will always be a number one customer when it comes to eating great Mexican food. Their food is always fresh and delicious. They have a wide variety of menu items to choose from. My personal favorites are the chicken enchilada plates and the breakfast burritos, which are huge. The staff provides courteous service and the food is prepared and served promptly. I've eaten there several times and every visit has been a 5 star experience.

Fast and friendly service. Cold AC in dining area. Fresh salsa bar. Burrito size was very generous; fajita burrito with steak had a lot of flavor in it as is, no need for added salsa. They also have a drive thru if you don't have time to sit inside and eat. Highly recommend.

New review - Have recently gone back to give it a try and was happy and satisfied with my order. I got the carne asada bowl. All ingredients were good. You have the option of adding extra protein which is awesome and a great price. Very filling meal and a healthier alternative. If you get the bowl deal it comes with tortilla chips and drink. Old review - I ordered carne asada fries for myself and my daughter. One with sour cream and guacamole and the sour cream was rancid 🤢 I could not eat it. It is pretty pricey for the valley and the quality of the food was not good. Fries were also unseasoned.

You'd pay a comparable price for more authentic and tasty carne asada fries elsewhere. We didn't have anything else on the menu. Give the rest a try!

The cashiers are standoffish and NEVER smile or make you feel welcomed. The cashiers with glasses made a mistake on my order. She missed what I said because she was distracted looking over at people that were picking up their order at the counter who had questions for the lady that gave them their food. Lady with the glasses goes on to tell me it was my fault because I ordered wrong and basically made me eat the wrong order. They were completely rude when I brought the plate back. I believe the lady in glasses is the supervisor. They need to be trained in customer service STAT as their food is already expensive enough.

Part of my order was missing , when arrive at home i called back to say some of my item were missing after driving 20 min. They wanted me to take the food back to check it. I didnt want money back i just wanted them to to acknowledge they mess up, manager was very rude she said rules are rules that i need to take the entire food back to check.i asked her to review the camara , right away she said they review the camara and everything was there. I didnt even get the salsas for the burrito.

The service was the most horrendous experience I have ever had. The server by the name of Alma had the audacity to argue with us about our order. She was not paying attention when the order was placed and when it came out it was wrong. When we kindly let her know she got extremely loud with us and argued that we got what we ordered. After asking to give us what we ordered she begun arguing again. The experience was so bad we asked for a refund. Do not waste your time at this place. This women was the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. Even the customers sitting in the dinning area could not believe how rude she was. If I could give it no stars I would! Because of this experience I will never walk in there again!

I went today and ordered Carne asada fries supreme with no cheese to go. I got home and there was at most like 9 pieces of Carne asada and no guacamole, I mostly ate fries with sour cream.

First place ive gone to where ive been treated rudely for having the meat in my food uncooked i told them nicely and they got mad like it was my fault they went as far as to tell that it wasnt that much when it was pink they offered another burrito i got it but couldnt finish it because of the bad taste that was left from the first one. The other person's food i was with was uncooked as well but she didnt want to say anything. They didnt even apologize i didnt even tell them in a bad way I even felt bad telling them about the incooked food. Not saying its like this always as i had not been there in years but if they treat there customers like this everyday your better off going to jack in the front if you plan to go eat out. I got some stomach pains hopefully I didnt get food poisoning. I mean they treated me like if i was trying to get another free burrito the only reason i told them was that when i noticed it was pink i had already taken some bites it did taste wierd to me when i started eating but i thought i was just my imagination until my friend told me her food was uncooked as well and i saw the uncooked meat. Just sharing my experience nothing else dont really write reviews but this one was a health safety hopefully they are more carefull in the future I wouldnt go there to eat anymore though.

Sunday afternoon about 1:00pm. Employees were laughing and talking very loud. Taking our order seemed to be an inconvenience. Food was cold, Luke warm at best. Enchiladas were a cold tortilla wrapped around some grated cheese, not melted. Absolutely horrible. Never again.

I treated my sister to this place and it was the worst! The hot sauce they gave us was spoiled! It ruined our meals. The health inspector needs to check this place out. I was sick for three days! I use to love coming here, but now I don't trust coming here and I tell my close friends and family to stay away. You don't want Fermented hot sauce on your food STAY AWAY. And the staff are incompetent, especially Johana the manager! She was rude!

Food presentation is pitiful Food quality and taste is less than horrible. Not recommended for those with a higher selective taste bud. If your standards are mediocre. This is the place to come!

On September 14, 2025 Sombrero Mexican food failed my family. Ordered 2 items both came back incorrect. One was a completely different item and the other didn’t have the condiments on the side. When we went to return the order they were refusing too because we didn’t have an order number, the staff did not provide a receipt when the order was first given. The Server Johnny kept on insisting we were in the wrong, was very persistent that he could not have gotten the order incorrect, and it was our negligence for not verifying the order before we left the store. We’ve had instances when this happened in the past, but the interactions were never this hostile. I hope other people do not have this happen to them when they visit this establishment.
