I go to New Dumpling every single weekend without fail, and I look forward to my meal there throughout the entire week. Dumplings could not be fresher and more delicious. Service is kind and efficient. Decor is restrained and relaxing. This is the perfect quick lunch spot and one of my favourite restaurants in the Bay. Order the chive pockets and shrimp/chive dumplings.

Quick and great service.. this is definitely a gem in El Cerrito. We had the cucumber and black fungus salad, green chive pancake and green onion, shrimp and pork dumpling! All of them were very tasty and clean. The pancake was delicious but a bit too oily, paper napkin did the trick to take away some of the oil. We will definitely go back to try the other items on the menu!

Very satisfying quick bite before seeing a movie next door! We had wonton soup with rich broth and two types of dumplings. Despite the crowd, the service was quick (and friendly). The dumplings were freshly made and very tasty.

Great dumplings! I tried the pork and cabbage and the shrimp/zucchini/egg dumplings. I can’t believe I’ve gone this long without trying this place. Will definitely be back. This is a great way to grab a bite to eat before watching a movie or vice-versa.

A friend recommended this place and I've been like 5 times more in a month. Generous portions, good price and tasty dumplings. The green onion pancakes are way better than expected. This is a gem for sure. Perfect for both a quick meal or a proper one.

Great dumplings, on a Friday at 1 pm, we ordered takeout which you have to go in person to order (no phone orders yet). It wasn't that crowded,, but street parking was hard to find. the pork/cabbage and chive/shrimp/pork dumplings were very good. As some have said the green onion pancakes were a little greasy but very light and crispy. Service was prompt and 10-15 minute wait for freshly made food was worth it. I will go back to try the other menu items.

This food is just so good, you cannot go wrong with any of the dumplings. The wonton soup is also amazing.

Friendly and fast service. Everything we've tried has been top notch. The dumplings are plump and delicious. The beef noodle soup has a rich, slightly spicy broth and lots of nicely sized tender beef chunks. Try the green onion pancakes!

Fresh, tastes wonderful! If you are looking for something deep fried with a heavy sauce and typically American focused, this is either going to be a new experience or not for you. These are tasty dumplings that I could eat every day. It reminds me of something my great-grandmother would make. These are exactly what they claim to be, and are perfection in the simplest form. I was very happy with the meat/veg ratio and didn’t need soy or hot sauce to be in my happy place munching on these little goodies.

Top notch frozen dumplings and great selection. This is the only Asian place around East Bay that has pig ear salad which is a childhood favorite of mine. Marinated beef and bean curd salad is also excellent. If you want to try something new this place is a great choice! The people there are also really helpful if you have any questions.

I'm so happy this little place opened up. It's so nice that that you can find something outside to the Oakland/Berkeley area. I came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Parking was easy to find and we were seated right away. We got the mushroom and cucumber salad as our appetizer which as very tasty and fresh. The shrimp and pork dumplings were made on the spot and served hot and the last order of Beef noodle soup it is a bit spicy and will numb the inside of your mouth. Only thing I wish that they had more noodle items to choose from. It is a very simple menu, but hopefully it will grow to more items later on. I will be coming back for more!

I was craving soup and going New Dumpling! It is a hidden gem in my eyes. Great food that was fast, filling, and soothing to my soul. I ordered the Green Chive Pockets and they were filled with chives and eggs, so good, but a little greasy. Hot & Sour Soup and that was really tasty and warned me up. Green Chive with Shrimp & Pork Dumplings which were very good and I finished very quickly. Last but not least was the Beef Noodle Soup and the soup was very tasty in addition to the noodles and beef. Like I said, everything was really tasty and for the price and speed it is worth it. This is a very small restaurant with a maximum occupancy of 24. It's fairly quiet, so don't expect a lot of noise. I highly recommend this place and I'll be returning!

We ordered the Green Chive with shrimp and porl dumplings and Sweet corn with Chicken dumplings. Each order came with 14 dumplings, and all of them were delicious. The wrappers were cooked to the right texture, not too thick, but not too thin that they didn't break when picked up with chopsticks. The fillings were well seasoned and had a comforting, home-cooked feel, making them a great option for a quick meal. I even bought three bags of frozen dumplings to take home. Each bag comes with 18 dumplings, which is a really good value. Highly recommended!

What's unique about this dumpling place is that the food is clean and beautifully made. Not a fancy decorating or anything, but the food is properly treated so it looks beautiful: no grease, no tough pieces, no residues on top of the soup. Even the fried dishes are so light. Given the bib gourmand, this place is not busy and it is definitely approachable. I would love to eat here again.

New Dumping is my No.1 to go restaurant in the area. Besides absolutely good dumplings, I would also recommend the noodles. The noodles are “Al dente”, the sauces are the best in the area, comparable to my mom’s home cooking. Their flavor is stable and delicious.

Definitely enjoy their famous dumplings. All in-house made. Always hot & fresh. I make my own dip: Mix the vinegar, soy sauce, and chili sauce. You have a home run dipping sauce for your dumplings. 😋

If you're a Dumpling-holic, this place is a must try. Located on a busy street, it can be east to miss as it has a small storefront and the restaurant can seat about 30 people . There's ample street parking but it can get busy. The menu choices here are limited, in fact they only have four different dumpling choice. Each order of dumpling, you get 12. If you have to pick one type go for their shrimp and pork. There's really no marking on the plate so it was hard to tell the difference between the others (you can tell the shrimp and pork dumplings). The filling here taste very fresh. Their dumplings here are not steamed but boiled. The onion pancake was a bit of a disappointment as it was greasier than expected. One suggestion to the business is you should have a dumpling sampler option. Since you have four different types of dumpling and one order is 12, you can do 3 of each kind.

Nice dumplings, decent price, good quantity. The price peer order of dumplings is about $1 more then other dumpling restaurants but they give you about 14 dumplings peer order while other restaurants give about 8-10 dumplings peer order.

I ordered 3 items to go. The dumplings and beef noodle soup were okay. I got chicken and mushroom and the wrapper was thick while the filling wasn't very flavorful. However it's not expensive for the number of dumplings you get. You can also buy them frozen here. The beef noodle soup seemed like it had been sitting around all day, the cilantro and bok choy inside were pale and flavorless and mushy and there was a lot of oil in the broth, which wasn't good either. The green onion pancake was good but super oily, there was a pool of oil in the box. Service is quick but I don't recommend this place compared to the other affordable options in the area.

I feel like this spot is better for take out. There was no music just awkward silence of the people in the kitchen cooking. And the waiter host was the least enthusiastic person if your going to be in the service industry. The dumplings were good. But would rather just do take out next time.

My girlfriend has a shrimp allergy and has been breaking out into hives. We had a pregnant woman in our group who we're lucky didn't eat it. We called and the Owner claimed its supposed to be there. We've had Wonton Soup all of our lives, there should never be baby shrimp in the broth.
