Stopped here on a Tuesday which was happy hour all night (and only happy hour menu for Mon/Tues). It was quiet with a few people at the bar and a game playing in the background. I was surprised at the drink menu quality and the $10 prices for cocktails. These weren't your typical HH pre-batched mai tais or sugary margaritas. They had plenty of variety. I got a mezcal focused cantarito- think alcoholic sparkling grapefruit jaritos served in a nice goblet. I also got the bandito which was more straight. Both drinks were legit. For food I got the lamb chops and black onion rings. The onion rings have an activated charcoal breading that made them look burnt and definitely turned some heads up it was still very good, especially with the chipotle aioli. The chops were good through a little small. I know it is happy hour as my neighbor reminded me but I regretted not ordering something a little more substantial.
Eldo’s Restaurant has become our favorite spot for dinner after work while charging our car at the Tesla Supercharger nearby. The food is always amazing and beautifully prepared. We especially love their Hamachi Shooters, Lobster Rolls, and Yiayia’s Green Garden Salad topped with Ribeye Steak. For entrées, the Scallops, Cod, Shrimp, and Ribeye are all spot on — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. A special shoutout to Celeste and Adam for always being so friendly, attentive, and welcoming — they truly make every visit feel special. The atmosphere is perfect for winding down after a long day. Highly recommend!
Party of 9....excellent drinks 🍸 try the old fashion....excellent appetizers......lamb chops, sushi bites, lobster rolls. Dinner-miso cod very tasty, steak platter worth every penny for large party. Food was great, atmosphere was great, prices were great, service was fantastic. I agree with what others say, its a hidden gem. Finally a fun vibe place to hit in the hills
As a local El Dorado Hills I highly recommend Eldo. I bring my clients when they're visiting from out of town to showcase the local food scene. People should know that the local Sacramento region has a lot of great restaurants and this is one of them! This is a great local find for anyone in El Dorado Hills or surrounding cities such as Folsom, Sacramento, Roseville, Granite Bay, Fair Oak,... The menu is so well thought out and has great options for any type of person with any particular allergies or dietary restrictions. I highly recommend going there has great menu plus great service and great ambience combined with high caliber food.
We had an incredible dinner at ELDO Chophouse! Our server, Adam, was fantastic — attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. We ordered the ribeye, miso cod, scallops, and shrimp, and every single dish was absolute perfection. The ribeye was cooked exactly to temperature and bursting with flavor, the miso cod melted in your mouth, and the scallops and shrimp were some of the freshest and most flavorful we’ve ever had. Hands down the best meal you’ll find in El Dorado Hills. We can’t wait to come back!
It was our 2nd time at Eldo and this time, I celebrated my bday and brought in my family who were visiting from the Bay Area. We enjoyed our food and we all had a great time! Looking forward to many more celebrations at Eldo!
A Casino in El Dorado Hills? Yep. And It’s Amazing. When we heard a casino was coming to El Dorado Hills, we weren’t sure what to expect. But let me tell you—Eldo Chop House is here, and it’s a game-changer (pun intended). This place is more high-end dining experience than card room, with a gorgeous atmosphere, top-notch service, and some seriously impressive food and drinks. Our server, Erika, was absolutely fantastic—attentive, professional, and made our visit even better. And if you haven’t tried the Kiss the Bubble cocktail yet, do yourself a favor and order one. It’s like a delicious science experiment, complete with a smoky bubble that bursts in the most dramatic way. Their craft cocktails are next level, and the whole experience is just fun. So yes, there’s a casino attached, but trust me—this is no dingy, neon-lit, smoky backroom. Eldo Chop House is an upscale, well-executed addition to the area, and we’ll definitely be back. Don’t knock it ‘til you try it!

We left Lake Tahoe and searched Google for a nice restaurant to celebrate my birthday. Eldo was a GEM! I had the cod and my husband had the chicken parmegan. We had appetizers, shared a salad and our entrees. The food was delicious, our drinks always replenished, and servers constantly checking on us. We also had dessert. Excellent find, Google scored, we will be back! Great date night restaurant!!!!!
3 of us walked in on a Friday night. Shared hamachi shooters, lobster rolls, and a bottle of sparkling wine. Stayed a few hours and had a wonderful time. Great app suggestions by Emily. She's really funny!!
I was excited to try Eldo, located in the same spot where Siena used to be, and it did not disappoint! The ambiance is warm and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. Our server was attentive, kind, and made the experience even better. I really appreciated how flexible the menu was—they happily split dishes for us in the kitchen at no extra charge. My friend and I shared the corn pasta and the chicken Parmesan, and both were outstanding. The corn pasta was rich, flavorful, and truly one-of-a-kind, while the chicken Parmesan was presented in a creative way that made it extra memorable. We loved every bite and can’t wait to go back!
I had such an amazing experience at Eldo Restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the ambience was absolutely gorgeous — classy, warm, and beautifully put together. It truly feels like a place you can relax, celebrate, and enjoy a special night out. Our server, Emily, was absolutely amazing and so attentive. She made sure we were taken care of the entire time without ever feeling intrusive. You can tell she genuinely cares about providing great service, and it made the whole experience even better. And the food… WOW. Every dish was incredible — beautifully presented, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly. You can really taste the quality and attention to detail in every bite. Between the stunning atmosphere, exceptional service from Emily, and outstanding food, Eldo is definitely a place I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend!
My husband and I went in for dinner tonight and sat in the bar area. The place was packed. Our server, Emily, was seriously hustling and working her section (with what seemed like little to no help from any bussers or food runners) like a pro. Job well done. Emily was amazing and the food was great. We will be back, but maybe next time on a weeknight instead!
What a hidden gem! As a chef I'm not the easiest to please. We where greeted as we walked into the door, had great drinks, wine we ate a little of everything. As I like to lol happy hour choices are fantastic so good job on that. Wine list is pretty good always room for improvement. Bar tender was super sweet. Great personality made for what she does. Over all we had a fantastic experience and will be bringing our family
Date night done right! My boyfriend and I grabbed seats at the bar at Eldo and had the best time. The vibe is classy but still sexy and fun, the drinks were perfect, and the food was absolutely amazing. It’s officially one of our favorite little date night spots
Visiting for a birthday and it’s my second time at Eldo. I’m a foodie and somewhat picky. Every single dish we ordered was delicious. Favorites were fried chicken and cornbread, steak, lobster rolls(!), and the CAESAR salad with fried capers and marinated anchovies. And wait, you have never had a chicken Parmesan like this. They put fresh pasta on top then pour melted cheese and marinara on that! I had a bite of the burger and it melts in your mouth. The cocktails are excellent and the wine menu is top notch with fair prices. Bravo!

The ambiance is cozy yet lively, perfect for groups or date nights. Overall, Eldo stands out for its quality food, great drinks, and welcoming vibe.

The restaurant has a great atmosphere, with calming neutral décor and warm, relaxing lighting. Our server was not only friendly and knowledgeable but also happily catered to my preferences. The food was outstanding — from the delicately flavored soft, fresh nigiri paired with crispy rice cake to the unexpectedly delightful fried chicken and cornbread topped with candied bacon...There's way more but I won't make it an essay. Long story short: this is the perfect spot for a special occasion.

Great food, excellent table service, sassy and funny hostess. Does it better than this? Yeah - no corkage fee and close-in parking. This is living large. My filet was cooked perfectly and even though I hate asparagus, I tried it (forgot to tell them to substitute) and it was pretty good. I've got a new favorite restaurant in EDH. But avoid this place on Fridays - it gets really loud in there with the nouveau riche of El Dorado Hills showing up.
Very fast knowledgeable staff with a Menu to stretch your palate. 5 people in our party, all ordered different entrees and Shares. Excellent taste, presentation and value form all. Atmosphere was upscale yet comfortable. Will definitely come back!
My husband and daughter (2 year old) came with a reservation at 6pm to enjoy a lovely dinner for my birthday. Parking was easy and the space has outdoor seating, too but it was a bit cold that day for that. We were able to get a high chair for my daughter and the service was attentive and accommodating. We asked for the cornbread from a dish only and they were able to accommodate just the bread — and we loved it! So good! We had the following too: - Mexicano shaved corn: so flavorful and limey - loved it! - crab cakes: great but least memorable of all dishes - brioche parker house rolls: love my bread and especially when warm. The truffle butter was also delicious with it but the bread can totally be amazing on its own already - yiayia’s green garden salad: love the pine nuts and citrusy taste - grilled octopus: my daughters favorite and we enjoyed it too - braveheart fillet: decent but not as memorable as I’d hope - bolognese pasta: too salty and the noodles were too hard - least favorite dish. - two tickets to paradise mocktail: delicious drink with and without alcohol (husband had the alcohol) Overall, really enjoyed the experience and space. Seating is a bit close to other tables as it was hard to slip in and out of our chairs when the chairs behind us both sides were already at its max spacing too. Also wished they had dishware and utensils that were safer for little ones - I was worried my daughter would mess up their ceramic plates. Food was good but some improvements could be made.
This is a great upscale place for fine dining and cocktails. It has a great happy hour offering $10 drinks. The food looks really good as well.
I highly recommend the lamb chops, definitely the best thing we had on the menu. The scallops were overcooked and tough, which was too bad because the rest of the dish was delicious, particularly the green curry sauce. Service was polite and professional.

Drinks were excellent. The Eldo Old Fashioned was well-made but a bit light on the pour. My wife loved the Taylor Made, with Kiwi Do You Love Me close behind. Both appetizers—the crispy nigiri bites and fried chicken & cornbread bites—were great. For entrees, my wife’s cod was good, but my steak was poorly cooked. The New York cut was thick and of decent quality, but the execution was terrible: minimal sear and a thick gray band on my medium-rare order. However, the scalloped potatoes were rich and delicious. The restaurant should consider better tempering or even reverse searing for a more even cook on thick steaks. Unfortunately, our final bill included a mysterious $26 charge that our otherwise good waiter struggled to explain. When I first received the check, the total was $200.57, but the final charge was $226.31—before adding a tip. The restaurant doesn’t impose mandatory gratuity/service charge for parties of two, so I asked about the discrepancy. The waiter claimed that “two Modelos” from another table were mistakenly added and that the charge would fall off the next day. However, this explanation didn’t add up: the beers weren’t listed on my itemized bill, and at $10 each, even with tax, they wouldn’t total nearly $26. It seemed suspicious. So, check your bill closely. If a manager sees this, I’d be happy to discuss it further. Overall, despite the shenanigans, we might return—but likely just for cocktails and appetizers at the bar, which is easily the most beautiful in EDH. Update: have been back several times since and haven’t encountered this same issue again.
Just wasn't that impressed with this place compared to El Dorado Hills's other offerings. Happy hour prices range up to $34 for pieces of steak and fries which is ridiculous. Very limited range of cocktails as well. The old-fashioned is made with a cheapo inferior version of four roses bourbon. The cocktails are just terribly unimaginative for a high-end place. Plus they think that gummy worms from new glory is an IPA. For your information, it is a pale ale and that is not the same. Going to stick to Milestone or South Fork Grill
