Quaint, delicious, and personable French restaurant that has everything right. The front of house lead is hilarious and cares very much that you enjoy your visit. The kitchen puts out amazing food, we had the escargot, tomato bouillabaisse, and charbroiled Salmon with Dill sauce. It was packed in there, given this the service was just about perfect. Had some small wait times to get extra things - but once flagged down the staff were very fast. We always visit when in Palm Desert!

We returned for the food and so happy we did. Amazing! Legitimately, everything we ordered was delicious, and my two boys (8yo and 5yo) that joined us are extremely picky and they devoured their dishes. The entire restaurant had such a fantastic vibe too. All the guests were even chatting with each other's tables. My husband and I have decided to make this this restaurant a must every time we come to our place here in the Desert!

I will definitely be going back next time I am in that area. And I will skip lunch next time. I really wanted to try the lamb or the coq au vin or the duck but just didn't think I could do it justice. The maître d' was delightful and so spiffy in his white tux jacket. A really great New Year's Eve.

Nice French place. We had lunch. My wife had a shrimp Louis salad which had an interesting presentation and was heavy on the shrimp. I had braised chicken in red wine dish which was tasty.

My fiancé and I drove 7 hours for the seafood feuillete and it was just as impeccable as the first time we had it 2 years ago. Great service. Great food. Great experience. 😊

A friend of ours introduced us to the Cafe and we were delighted. The ambience is quaint and comfortable. The service was friendly while also efficient. First and main courses were all delicious. I enjoyed a swordfish special while my partner ate every bit of his beef stroganoff.

We came here on an early Sunday afternoon (beg of October), staff was very friendly and attentive. And, the food was so so good. I’ve lived in the desert for over a decade and this was my first time here; LOVED EVERY BITE. We got the escargot which was amazing, and the shrimp Cesar salad was great, you could tell it was a house made dressing. Found a new favorite on El Paseo 🐌🥂🥗 Cant wait to come back for the beignets 😋

Had a wonderful lunch. The Moules Frittes were great, as was the chicken breast with linguine and the ravioli. I recommend the French Martini! Service was excellent, and the prices were surprisingly moderate. This was our 4th visit, and we are locals who look forward to returning.

There are places to dine and have a meal. Then there are rare places where you get a dining experience. Bill treats you special, and the service is always exceptional. The food selection was spot on, and the wine was a perfect match.

Hold on ,my mouth is full, let me swallow my coq au vin before I share with you how delicious the food tastes. Gulp. Yummy! This is a little side trip to Paris in Palm Desert. Attentive service and an explosion of deep flavors. I had the chicken coq au vin and French onion soup, which was spectacular. Everything on this menu is delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try the other delectable treats..

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner tonight. Tonight’s special was a white fish, perfectly grilled, moist on the inside with a light crust. The Crepe Suzette was perfect with a balance of orange, lemon, and brown sugar. One can taste the fragrance of the orange, the sweetness of the sugar, and the zest of lemon. Wonderful experience.

Accepting a subtle greeting from the usher, i took a table by the roadside (open) window. Had to ask for the table. The greeter can do a better job asking for preferences. From here on, the experience exceeded my expectations. The coffee! Awesome. I complemented the coffee and the attendant insisted i get as much coffee as i can drink :-). I ordered Mediterranean Frittata and a plate of plain crepe without powdered sugar. The food was tasty and hot. Using my hands to dip a rolled crepe in the syrup, i downed it with a sip of hot coffee. Yum. Had a leisurely breakfast, ate everything except the plates. Recommend this restaurant for a leisurely sumptuous experience. Avoid sitting at the bar (nothing against it) or the inside booths as the street side tables are more relaxing.

This restaurant is located at a perfect location on El Paseo shopping district in Palm Desert. You are within walking distance from world-class stores. As for the food, they have great quality food for a reasonable price. I had ordered the Eggs Benedict with Canadian Bacon - which you can substitute for Smoked Salmon - with Orange Juice, and the combination of the two was great. Family ordered the Frittata and simple crepes for breakfast and they enjoyed theirs as well. Definitely will go back!

Dinner was amazing!! The atmosphere reminds me of Paris and the shrimp crepe with a gluten free crepe was incredibly delicious!! Yum!! They even had a kid menu to color on with some easy activities too. Also had the Nutella and banana crepe for dessert with the gluten free crepe and that was tasty too. It wasn't nearly as amazing as the shrimp crepes, but maybe that's because the shrimp crepes were insanely good.

Best. French. Restaurant. EVER!!! I loved my ham and cheese crepe and the fruit on the side. The bread was DELICIOUS! The onion soup was 👌🏻perfect, the Nutella crêpe and the crème brûlée was the cherry on top! Best restaurant ever! Plus, the servers were very nice. You have to try this!

This was our first visit. Three had lunch which was very nice. I am not a huge fan of French food but the cafe has nice art, friendly and helpful servers, and they understood our dilemma about one of us getting lost and calling in to alert them. Savory crepe with shrimp was good as was the frittata with good vegetables. The chicken sandwich was nice. I really liked the atmosphere because the room appears like an outdoor cafe. I would come back again though the options for someone trying to avoid meats are limited. They lose a star for rushing you out if there are 4 bites left on your plate and the owner makes the servers swoop down like turkey vultures to grab thise plates. But of course- I just figured it out- they let you feel the authentic rudeness of being in Paris! Zut alors!! Je suis stupide!! Parking at the Paseo thank goodness is relatively easy.

It was good. I can’t say that it was the best thing I ate that weekend in Palm Springs but it was good. We went there for brunch on Mother’s Day. Didn’t care for the way they did the menu and I heard other tables griping about it also. Kind of pricey for the food that we received also. Really nice atmosphere though, and that is why it has a 4 star and not a 3 but overall... Good, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back to this location by any means.

A great place for breakfast. At the back of the cafe is a Parisienne style bar whilst the front seating area is spacious with wide windows. The service is fast and personable with delicious breakfast options.

We've been coming here for years. In search of French food and atmosphere. Found both...though other reviews may disagree This is not a Michlen star but more like a sidewalk cafe. Great for people watching too Price per person includes a bottle of wine for 2.

Delicious French Onion soup, and escargot for appetizers. Coq au vin very good as well as white fish with capers. The profiteroles were larger than I expected (a half order would have been enough). We had a nice table on the sidewalk which worked out well as the tables in the main area seemed closer than we would like.

Great patio area! Strawberry crepe was delicious. The coffee was more like diner coffee than what I would expect from a French cafe. Overall a good experience.

The restaurant has done it's best to distance people safely. We enjoyed our evening. The food was so-so. Not terribly authentic. We had heard that the french onion soup was excellent. I would say average. I had the duck and it was ok. Hoped for a richer sauce. If you want a nice evening out, this place is fine. But if you want an authentic french restaurant, I cant give it more than 3 stars

The service was excellent. Very friendly and generally attentive. The food was just OK. I had the octopus appetizer which wasn’t very flavorful with the exception of the chipotle sauce. So I basically drowned the entire dish in that sauce. I was a little surprised to have the octopus all cut up. In my experience, they usually serve it in bigger pieces and other restaurants. My boyfriend’s dish was OK, but he said it was nothing to write home about. I think he had the chicken. We also had a salad and similarly, while it was tasty, it was not memorable or something I would come back to. Overall, the prices weren’t too expensive considering… I would say the best thing this place has going for it is an atmosphere of old school restaurant with really good service.

My boyfriend picked out the spot. How cute is this restaurant! There is our on the wall and French breakfast and lunch options? It was nearing noon so I decided to get a salad. The tuna was a little bit dry, But with some added olive oil and dressing it was much better. It was really delicious salad and perfect for a hot summer day and Palm Desert ! My boyfriend ordered the creeper omelette and that was also just as good. They have these misters that line the outer rim of the restaurant so you can feel the mist while you’re sitting outside which is lovely.

Overall good but my French Onion soup had burnt onion pieces in it, so the taste was a bit off. I mentioned the issue to the waiter, and I still paid for the soup. The overall experience was tainted a bit but the rest of the food was good.

Mediocre at best! If the French would taste the kind of stale bread they are serving, they would run for the hills.

12/9/22. After a game of golf , we went here for a decent meal (been here before pandemic). We both had Calf livers for appetizer, pork chops for main and each came with a soup. Verdict - calf livers were cooked to very dry so they were very chewy. The two soups (one clam chowder, one French onion) both tasted nice. My friend’s pork chop was over cooked and chewy. She told our waiter who took the pork chop away. Then the manager came back with the same pork chop being cut into two pieces. He said thats the way they would cook their chops and he offered to make another dish of her choice. But my friend declined. We packed the chops home and asked for the bill. A lady brought the bill. I asked for the card machine and she said they don’t have it and told me to give her my credit card. I said “I don’t like my card to be out of my sight. Can I go to the machine”. She replied “we are not going to steal your card “. She turned and walked away. I went after her to the reception where she swiped my card at a big screen. She put the paper chits in a black folder, without saying anything, she chucked the black folder to me. Lucky I caught it, otherwise the black folder will fly to my face. I still give 15% tips on the bill and its for the waiters. I don’t know the position of this lady. Even if she owns the place, she still should not be rude to the customers. We were disappointed. I am angry because I suggested to eat here. One ⭐️ for the waiters and one ⭐️for the soup.

My Husband and I are regulars, however, last night was an embarrassment to this restaurant. We sit at the bar and I ordered the small plate chicken piccata w/linguini. The chicken was so dry and old and the sauce on the noodles was tasteless. This was on top of the smallest portion I have ever seen in my life. My husband ordered 1/2 ord of Liver and Onions which was all tendon. Needless to say I ate nothing. We should have returned the food, but I just wanted to go somewhere else!

We drove an hour because Google and the website said they were open. There is no voicemail so we assumed they were busy. Someone told us this spot closes all summer. Suggestion: a voicemail message would be helpful as well as updating your Google listing and website.

This is a very dated place... The food is not great.. Ordered salad Nicoise, which I could do 100x better at home. The poached salmon was also bland and nothing to rave about. The coq au vin was ok but nothing amazing for a French restaurant. The drinks are overpriced for the quality. The service is not great, staff can be rude (maybe the mostly latino staff prefer the white clientele). I would not be back... There are far better options in the area (Porto via always delivers)

Asked 3 times if they had mint jelly for lamb chops..staff could care we were there. Chops had 2 bites of meat and bone. Jelly was clear not green....poured it out of ramekin and it was black...truly sickened me..showed bartender. She said that's all we have ..lost customers of 20 years over $5.00 worth of mint jelly..me never ever going back

Underwhelming Salad Nicoise with UNDERWHELMING Seared Ahi, UNDERWHELMING-est 1 (ONE) Anchovy, most UNDERWHELMING Tomato and Very Tired Greens with stuff tossed in ☹️ Had to wait till the end of the salad for more bread: it was in the oven so long that had turned cracker hard. Seriously Guys? A $25 salad got to be better because there’s better options at the price. And no ApplePay so had to walk out in 91 degrees to get a card. Ripoff because of terrible attitude: if my help was so bad then I as owner would cook & serve myself!

We were warned about the food quality and service of this place yet, we still decided to give it a try. Went there with a few friends for dinner. The service was subpar. I ordered the Lake Superior White Fish which came in almost 5 minutes after everyone else’s and the fish was uncooked and slimy. Raw. They apologized but offered no option to rectify, no small gesture. They did take it off the bill but that was it. I ended up skipping dinner altogether as I felt disgusted for what I had eaten. It is safe to say that we will not be going there anymore. Not even our friends who’ve been long time customers.

Went for Mother’s Day. Was terrible as you can see in photo. Soggy fried potatoes, they been sitting in a heated container getting nice and moist and wet. The frittata was terrible, no flavor with crazy amount of melted cheese on top. Had a Caesar salad, it was just soaked in dressing because the lettuce was old. The best thing was the chocolate mousse and it was just OK. Came to $33 for one person 😳🤦🏻👎
