Have eaten there a few times before. We had a little hiccup with one of our meals. The server and manager took care of the problem, explained what happened and provided a replacement more expensive meal for the same price. Excellent treatment, great food and atmosphere. We will be back

It had the most beautiful atmosphere and the bartender was the absolute best. We arrived late so we just missed the kitchen closing but had a delicious salad before we left. I'd def like to go back for dinner and enjoy the whole experience

One of our favorite places to eat for special occasions or meeting up with old friends! Service is always excellent and the menu has something for everyone. Scallops and Risotto one of my favorites. Tiramisu is on a whole other level! Best I've ever had! Atmosphere is just what you want in a cozy fine dining restaurant! Highly recommended! Kudos to the chef and staff at Nauvoo!

We just had my daughter’s bridal shower here and everything was wonderful. Staff were very accommodating, food was great (received a lot of compliments) and the room looked amazing. Working with Sophia was great. She’s so sweet and really knows her stuff. She helped guide me with everything as I had no idea what I was doing. If anyone is looking for that special place to have an event check out Nauvoo Grill. They are awesome.

We really enjoy our meals at Nauvoo! The atmosphere and service is great. The pan seared salmon is my wife's favorite! I don't like seafood and even I think it's great. The sushi was surprisingly amazing especially the shrimp tempura roll. Also really enjoyed the Frenched chicken. Very moist and delicious

My father took me here and he is a big fan of the restaurant. I went there off season and I liked the more quiet atmosphere and I like the vibe of the bar area. It has a really great vibe. The food was excellent and the its definitely a place where you want a good cocktail. The menu had perfect amount of selections and the addition of the sushi options is a plus. I will definitely be back again.

Went here for New Year’s Eve and had a great time. Good food, good service despite the crowd. There wasn’t an empty seat to be had. The fireplace room is very cozy, and the whole ambience was great. A little noisy, but it was New Year’s Eve and people were partying. Good selection of wines, reasonable prices. Cheryl, the hostess, seemed to have eight arms. Our server, Michele, was cheerful and attentive. We didn’t get a chance to visit the bar at the front of the house As it was also packed, but we will go back on a quieter night, maybe a Monday, which is burger night. I recently dined here and had an amazing experience! The tuna was absolutely fabulous—perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. The bar bites were also excellent, making for a delightful start to the meal. A special shoutout to the manager, Mike, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. His hospitality really made a difference. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more from their menu. Highly recommend!

Our go-to for special occasions and splurges. Food is excellent, service was great. Madison was a sweetheart. Just had our Thanksgiving meal there. Just delicious and delightful. Beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Excellent restaurant with cozy atmosphere, attentive staff and delicious food. Fish and Steaks were excellent - compliments to the chef! Good selection of wines to pair and very reasonable prices across. The manager, Robert was very friendly and stopped by to make sure everything was to our liking. Will definitely be back.

Our meal & service at the Nauvoo Grill was exceptional. Our server, Shaw, was happy to give us a recommendation when inquiring about the Herb Marinated Grilled Pork Chop with the Apple Gastrique, whipped sweet potatoes & grilled asparagus - the BEST & most tender chop ever. Shaw was personable & attentive. TY Shaw!

Had a fabulous dinner tonight. Sage is a great waitress -- she knows what you want before you do! Tried the coconut curry mussels. A new item and so delicious! And the fries are always so crispy! If you're looking for a great meal with a great vibe Nauvoo is the best. Make sure to ask for Sage's section -- you're welcome!

We went on a Monday evening, and we were fortunate enough to sit in the lounge with the piano player and singer. Other members of the staff also sang, and they were all quite amazing. The ambiance is lovely, a very special place indeed, especially for a Monday night. Will definitely go back for the entertainment!

This is a wonderful, comfortable, and beautifully appointed place to relax and dine. The food is excellent, and there are affordable entrees as well as higher priced offerings. I recommend it highly 👌

Our waitress sage was amazing! She was so sweet and accommodating to our young four-year-old daughter and was so professional with us. We will definitely come back again! Thank you Sage!

Had my nieces bridal shower here. Everything about the day was wonderful. I highly recommend for such an occasion. The room is beautiful. The servers were very attentive and the food was delicious. Made for a great memory.

Absolutely phenomenal dining experience from start to finish. Cheryl, the hostess, was incredibly sweet and welcoming, setting the tone right away. Our server, Michelle, was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the evening. The atmosphere was romantic, especially sitting near the fireplace—it made the night feel extra special. We started with the carrot ginger soup and the Autumn Harvest salad, both of which were outstanding. For our entrées, I ordered the ribeye steak with asparagus and roasted potatoes, and my fiancé had the chicken Tuscan rigatoni. Every bite was delicious and cooked to perfection. We paired our meal with a red sangria and a Meiomi Pinot Noir, which complemented everything beautifully. Truly the best dining experience we have ever had. We can’t wait to come back!

Extremely helpful and attentive service, especially Glenn! Absolutely delicious food, I enjoyed the filet mingon cooked medium rare by the chef with whipped potatoes and it was perfection! Chicken Francaise was delicious as well and others dining with us stated that the salmon was also wonderful. Can't wait to return!

Friday nights are the best! Even the bartender was singing with the piano man! So sweet! Vinnie is the best! We loved our server! He made sure my spritz was done well! The food was excellent! Best French onion soup ever!

We, Randee and Donnie, had an absolutely fantastic dinner at Nauvoo Grill Club in Fair Haven, New Jersey! Established in a charming setting, this restaurant specializes in American cuisine with a creative twist, making it a must-visit spot. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting. Our waitress, Laura, provided exceptional service—she truly deserves a five-star rating for her attentiveness and friendly demeanor! Now, let’s talk about the food. We started with the Butternut Squash Soup, which was rich and creamy, topped with crispy sage and pumpkin seeds—simply delightful! The Crispy Brussels Sprouts were another highlight, featuring marcona almonds, golden raisins, and crispy prosciutto, all drizzled with a squash rum glaze. Each bite was bursting with flavor! For our main course, we indulged in the Filet Bites, consisting of tender beef tips, ginger, garlic, hot cherry peppers, and cheese ponzu sauce over sweet potato puree. It was a perfect combination of savory and sweet, and the presentation was just as impressive. We also enjoyed a refreshing Butternut Squash Salad, which complemented our meal perfectly. Overall, Nauvoo Grill Club exceeded our expectations with its delicious food and outstanding service. Beautiful venue. Friendly staff. Great food. Good place to host a baby/bridal shower, brunch, or afternoon with the girls. The salads, pasta dishes and cocktails were all very tasty.

There were twenty of us dining together! Most of us wanted burgers and fries and salads. I don't think anyone had something on the dinner menu. Unfortunately, only two servers had to do everything.... This young fellow went back to the kitchen over and over again with drinks and menus...finally another person did try to help him.... Giving 5 stars with the food because the burgers were good. I gave 4 stars because the food took a long time and some dishes were given the wrong thing...but I can see why that happened. The atmosphere was okay....not many people at all.... restaurant is clean. FYI we gave him a good tip!

The restaurant is very unusual, incredibly inviting and appealing. A quiet place to eat is important to us and this fit the bill with all the carpeting to absorb the sound. The decor is like Frank Lloyd Wright and a bit like a lodge with warm browns and orange colors. I wish I could give Nauvoo a better rating but the food was awful. The chicken skewers were overcooked and the menu choices do not reflect a classy restaurant. The paper menus were all crinkly and reused many times. The food was the biggest disappointment. We really wanted to like this place. So sad!

We had a family party (11 of us) here about 3 weeks ago. It took 3 hours to complete the dinner. They are severely under staffed so I in no way fault the waitress. She had a room of approximately 10 tables to handle herself. The food was good but it took at least 45 minutes between each course. I would come back once they are able to staff up some, but for now I'd hold off.

Ate with a large party. First, the good. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and classy (fireplaces, leather chairs, lots of wood & stone). The service was attentive and friendly. The entrees are slightly expensive, but reasonable for the area. The biggest part of a restaurant experience was the lowest scoring. The food was mediocre. Multiple people in my party were disappointed with their entrees, especially at the given price points ($38 for 5 scallops?). We have eaten here many times in the past but likely will not return soon.

We dined at this restaurant. First impression is it is a very nice atmosphere, warm and inviting. However, the waitstaff are all young kids who greet you with “hey guys”, what can i get you guys? Would you like dessert guys? Everything was “guys”. Very irritating and very much something you would see in a TGI Fridays or similar. It was a turn off. The food was mediocre, ceasar salad was your romaine with what seemed to taste like mayonnaise. Not tasty, no offer of cracked pepper. Then to finish this review off, the busboy comes at the end when we asked to pay the check, puts the bus pan on our table and asks if he can take any of our plates away. Unheard of and very uncouth. We will not be going back and would not recommend.

Update Nov 2025 While we enjoy the ambiance of the bar, the dinner service in the dining room is very disappointing. Dining there for the first time a month or two ago, the service was horrible...waited 30 minutes at our table before we had to beg for menus. Server "forgot" our drinks, and our meals took forever to get to the table. No bread was offered, and the food was just ok. Wanting to give them a second chance, we returned recently, and again, service was abysmal. Wait staff is pleasant enough, but sorely needs better training. Forgetting the details (feta cheese on the side please, can we have more water, forgetting our drink order, where is my coffee, etc). Our rigatoni with chicken...while the rigatoni was good, we had to search the dish for the chicken. Again, we weren't offered any bread/butter/olive oil. Strike two...we'll return to the bar, but won't give the dining room another chance...too disappointing. We were here last night during the storm...at the bar. Cozy warm vibe...nice quiet laid back atmosphere with Sinatra playing in the background. Drinks are generous and well constructed. Our bartender, Glen, was friendly and attentive. Beet salad was phenomenal, as was the turkey burger. Really nice establishment...adding it to my regular haunts.

Believe every review about the service .......I didn't but found out for myself !!! It's a shame because we frequented this restaurant in the 70' s & 80's ...you couldn't get in the place . It was packed, but not now ! Met friends in the bar on a Saturday night . Took at least 15 minutes for 1 of the 3 bartenders to actually look up & pay attention to us sitting at the bar . Even if busy they should at least acknowledge your presence . The restaurant was not even half full.Finally got some drinks . We had a dinner reservation and the table was ready . It took my husband another 10 min to get a bar tab & close out . The hostess was very nice & sat us in front of their beautiful fireplace. After another 10 min or so ,someone came to pour water but spilled it all over because the edge of the pitcher was broken . Finally cleaned that up & the waitress came . We ordered apps and dinner at the same time , we were afraid to wait to order dinner due to the slow service . Waited a while , ordered a bottle of wine which was reasonable. Then no apps or lobster bisque soup as we ordered but dinner came out first . The waitress said she would take them back but who wants food sitting under a lamp for 1/2 hour . Were the apps even made ?! So we cancelled our apps , except the spring rolls. Everyone liked their dinner . A pork chop , Shrimp with linguini ( large portion ..lots of shrimp ) , chicken piccata, I had maji mahi . My portion of fish was very very small. The side of rice and avocado was delicious. So the food was tasty . It's a shame because the service is terrible & the ambiance is the best . This restaurant should be packed & it isn't due to some sort of mismanaged staff. It was not a dining experience I would order a dinner & apps at . Maybe a burger & drink at the bar if you could get their attention . The place looks like a beautiful ski lodge in the heart of Fair Haven . I didn't believe the reviews about service and apps coming out after or with dinner , but apparently it's true . We didn't stay for dessert !

Absolute disaster. If I could give zero I would. 1 bartender, 40 minutes to get a drink, hour 45 minutes and couldn't get an appetizer. Manager mishandled the situation miserably. Was going to comp the drinks as we were leaving but realized we had a bottle of wine because we couldn't get a drink because they ran out of martini glasses and hit me for $75 as I walked out without a stich of food. 2nd time we've have horrible service at this place. There won't be a 3rd.

Potentially the worst service we’ve experienced in the area. Everyone is friendly but we were consistently forgotten about. We should have known when it took over fifteen minutes for someone to come to our table that it would be a rough night. Busboy was useless and nonexistent. Food was ok but that didn’t help the extremely long waits between each course. Empty plates, glasses and wine just sat on the table for extremely long periods. Took over a half hour from when dessert was ordered till it arrived. It’s a shame we had high hopes and the food was ok, but we won’t be returning.

Wow, had dinner on 2/14/25 and a tooth with a metal spike (artificial) was found in the scampi salmon risotto for which my friend tasted and it was in her mouth. YUCK. Reported it to manager, made an incident report and asked for the owner to call me. No call from the owner and today is 2/16/25. Time to alert the public and health department

I did not have a pleasant experience at Nauvoo Grill Club. Because I have a swallowing issue, the only thing I could eat on the menu was lobster bisque, which was quite tasty. However, we were a group of 10 and were told we would get one bill for the table and only 5 credit cards could be used. Well, I was a single person, not a couple. My friends all had large meals. So the bill was divided by 10 and I had to "work it out" with my friends It was very embarrassing. It put me in a very awkward position, but I did not want to pay $55 for my $9.00 soup! The waiter was quite gruff and not accommodating at all. Also the waiter took one of the guest's wine glass before it was empty. He insisted it was empty and was quite rude! It was not empty. When he took it I saw that it was not empty but assumed my friend had told him she was finished. She was involved in a conversation so did not notice it gone until it was too late.! Finally, when the bill came we were told you do not accept Discover cards. I will to be coming back to Nauvoo Grill Club. Please know that I have NEVER written a bad review for a restaurant in my 77 years. '

If I could give negative stars for this restaurant I would. NEVER go here with a larger party or if you don’t want to wait 3-5 business days for your meal. First, we started off with a 7 pm reservation, and did not sit down until 7:30, on a MONDAY night. Then, it took another hour to even get our drinks (which were majority just sodas). We thought our waiter was afraid of us because he never came to the table to check on us. Our food then arrived but not all at one time, so majority of our party finished their meals before the last three entrees were delivered. Two of those entrees were surf and turf, the lobster was undercooked and rubbery, and the steak was so raw we had to send it back. For the most expensive meal on the menu, this is ridiculous. My sister, whose birthday we were celebrating, was so upset she was crying. And after all that, they comped only a round of drinks and brought out dessert, that we were not even going to order because the service was so bad. We had to ask for more off our bill because our experience was truly ridiculous. The staff is run by children, the kitchen and bar clearly get overwhelmed, and the food is not up to the price. Avoid at all costs.

We were a group of 10 on a Monday evening to celebrate a special occasion. Very disappointing. It took forever to get drinks, no bread was offered, food was just OK, but you can sense that there is a big issue with the management as well as the kitchen. Dinners were not timed well, vegetables were cold, and two people in our party waited 20 minutes to get their meal after the rest of us received ours. We were actually done eating before the last people in our party received their dinner. I will say that the room with the fireplace was very pretty, perhaps if you go there for drinks it’s fine. But there is clearly an issue with everything else. My family members have been here prior and the experience was nice. Perhaps it was a bad night.

Absolutely horrible experience on Christmas Eve. It was obvious that the restaurant had accepted more reservations and they could ever possibly handle. The parking lot was jammed. We waited over two hours for our food. Each course took at least 45 minutes to come to us many times we spoke to our server who just reminded us that it was a holiday and that they had a full staff in the kitchen, and it would just be a few more minutes. It was never a few more minutes! On top of that because we were a party of seven they added the gratuity in which in no way was deserved once we received our food. It was average too good but there’s no way we will ever return until they get management in there. That knows what to do not once where we offered bread not once were we offered a dessert for our inconvenience not once were we offered anything other than shaking their head telling us well you know it’s a holiday. Save yourself at the trouble find a different restaurant to go to.
