⭐⭐⭐⭐ The food was good — not quite great — but overall a solid experience. Our waiter Jackie was awesome, had a great sense of humor, and recommended some great menu items. Mozzarella sticks: great execution, though the cheese tasted a bit old. Caesar salad: tasty but could’ve used a little more dressing. Tomato bisque: absolute slam dunk. 18 oz ribeye with garlic mash & vegetable medley: steak was good, but the demi-glaze really made the dish. Broccoli rabe: watery , no sear or garlic pieces , needed salt , don’t recommend The atmosphere is fantastic, and having John Buccheri singing live made the night even better. I’ll definitely give this place another try.
Had the best night at The Squire in West Long Branch! The Frank Sinatra & Dean Martin impersonator night was such a fun experience—great energy, packed house, and a perfect mix of dinner and show. The food was excellent from start to finish, and everything came out perfectly. Huge shoutout to our server Jackie, who gave us outstanding service all night—friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Can’t wait to come back for another one of these nights!
Was in the area and wanted to try something new, so glad we ended up at The Squire. Jackie, our server, was so kind and provided us with excellent service. We were lucky enough to catch “The Crooner” performing, he was amazing and truly added to the experience! Everything we ordered was amazing and the drinks were great as well. The atmosphere alone was beautiful and was decorated so nicely for the season. Glad we stumbled upon this hidden gem and can’t wait to go back for some of the fun events they offer throughout the month. Thanks again to Jackie and the kind hostess, such a wonderful spot with a kind and hardworking staff.
Went here for Valentine's Day for their beautiful, festive decorations they do for each holiday. We had Marisa as our server who was great! There was a pre-fix 4 course menu which she delivered timely as well as with offering any refills. There was also live music/djing that was not too loud and had a great variety of music for everyone. It was the perfect place for a special night ❤️
A wonderful establishment, quiet, beautiful ambiance and the staff are absolutely fantastic!! Thank you Kristen, you were terrific. • French fries 9/10 (not pictured) underrated!!! They were great, my son loved it • Ricotta Gnocci 8.5/10 buttery and melt-in-your-mouth •Pan seared Salmon 6.5/10 • Potatoes au gratin 9/10 underrated!!! Honestly made my salmon so much better, great combo • Mac and cheese 8/10 creamy and rich • Caesar salad 9/10 exceptionally fresh and crisp (not pictured) • Brownie Sundae 7.5/10
I haven’t been here in a few years but decided to stop in. I was immediately warmly greeted by the two hostesses. Kristen our waitress was kind, friendly and attentive. Jared the busier couldn’t have been any better. The manager Faye stopped at our table and greeted us. We were definitely treated like family. The food was delicious and absolutely will return again.
Sat at the bar had a great experience! Food was great! The bartender Charlie waa excellent super friendly, and the restaurant was decorated perfectly for the holiday season! Will definitely go back and bring friends and family!
Just dined at the Squire and the food was exceptional and the service was exquisite. Cory was our server and paid such close attention to detail and gave great food recommendations. Will definitely be returning.
To celebrate my 96th birthday, my family surprised me with a delicious dinner at the Squire. I remember when this establishment was once the Squires Pub, and I must say, the restaurant has certainly evolved to become an elegant establishment that features amazing meals that are skillfully crafted and beautifully executed. I was so excited when the entire dining room sang “happy birthday” to me, it was a lovely surprise and the sparkler candle was certainly something special! I can’t say enough about the great staff, the wonderful food, and the fantastic atmosphere. Can’t wait to return, especially to celebrate birthday number 97! Thank you, your restaurant is something to be very proud of. -Stella
Cory had such a welcoming presence. He was friendly and informative. He was funny and served us well. Definitely go see Cory! Food was fabulous! Drinks on point!
The bartender by the name of Charles was outstanding. The hostess greeted us with a very friendly hello and experience. Food was outstanding.
We celebrated our anniversary at The Squire, and it was an exceptional experience. The ambiance was cozy and festive, with beautiful Christmas decorations that added a magical touch to the evening. We enjoyed the appetizers and cocktails; as a main course, the filet mignon and prime rib, both were superb. The filet mignon was tender and full of flavor, while the prime rib was perfectly seasoned and juicy. And to close the dessert with the anniversary touch was incredible. The service was outstanding. Our waiter Cory was attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed to make our evening special. Overall, The Branches provided a memorable dining experience that made our anniversary celebration truly special. Highly recommended for any special occasion, especially during the holiday season.
Awesome night! Great service! Will for sure be coming back. The food, atmosphere, again, the service! All fantastic. Can’t wait for future events here.
My husband & I love to visit the Squire for date nights. The restaurant delivers both culinary creativity and a consistently welcoming environment. Personally, the pan seared salmon is my favorite dish, it never disappoints. The special touches such as the candle lit tables and the music by local artists is perfect when enjoying a night out. The Squire’s elegant decor strikes a perfect balance between seasonal charm and timeless style. So glad we found this gem of a restaurant.
We had an outstanding experience thanks to our waiter, Cory. From the moment we were seated, he was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, offered great recommendations, and checked in at just the right times without ever being intrusive. Our drinks were always full, the timing of the meal was perfect, and he made sure every detail was taken care of. His positive attitude and exceptional service truly elevated our dining experience. We will absolutely be asking for him again and highly recommend him to anyone dining here.
Immediately upon entering I fell in love with The Squire! Absolutely LOVE the decor (always a great 1st impression). And then I tasted my first cocktail, and then the food... and fell in LOVE alll over again!! Each time I'm there I make sure to not order the same thing so I can try how amazing everything else is!! (I still dream of their delicious burger!!! Haha) Be sure to order an Old Fashioned cocktail... the table-side experience is impressive!! Faye and the team are great!! Add in the regular music entertainment and events... and you've got a little something for everyone! This is a MUST VISIT restaurant!!
The Squire is one of my favorite places to go. The atmosphere is beautiful and inviting, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. Their skinny margaritas are hands down some of the best around, and the mezze plate and shrimp cocktail are perfect to start the meal. I’ve also had the surf and turf and the spicy rigatoni, and both were outstanding. Everything is consistently delicious, and the overall experience always feels special.
One of my favorite go to spots. The Squire has one of the best happy hours around with great music and such a fun vibe. The food is always delicious especially the bar pie and the place is always beautifully decorated. The staff truly makes it special. Bartenders Charlie T and Danielle are always so friendly and welcoming, and the manager Faye is an absolute sweetheart. Always a great experience!
Dined at The Squire on Monmouth Road last night - pure MAGIC! Their steaks are melt-in-your-mouth perfection, seared just right with a rich, buttery flavor that lingers. The atmosphere? Unbeatable. Its like stepping into a warm, jazzy embrace with Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin vibes on their special nights. Loved the music bingo - such a fun twist, had me laughing and singing along with the whole crowd. The staffs warmth, the lively chatter and that cozy Monmouth charm make it the go-to spot for an unforgettable evening. Highly recommend!
Love coming to The Squire. Love the beautiful decorations. Food is always good. Servers are the best, We had Jackie tonight. Cory is always quick to assist. Thanks for another solid night of good food and good times!
The Squire is one of our go to places for a night out. The food is consistently good. Drinks are great, lots of special seasonal options. Cory our waiter is always so nice and helpful. Plus on weekends they have music! Definitely recommend!
I am a frequent flyer at this establishment. With that said, the food never disappoints & I have tried many of the apps, soups, entrees & desserts. The atmosphere is super cozy and it is beautifully decorated throughout the restaurant and the event ballrooms. There are various types of live entertainment that is suitable for all age groups, and the best is the monthly Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin nite. See you soon! :)
Cory was phenomenal! I surprised my mom for her birthday with a large party of friends and he went above and beyond to make her feel special! The food, the service and the atmosphere was just incredible! I highly recommend and we will be back!
This place is decked out for Christmas. It is absolutely so beautiful. The staff is so friendly and the food is phenomenal. I have had the pleasure of eating here several times and I have never had a bad dish. My personal favorites are the halibut and the Squire Burger. I highly recommend making a reservation—you won't be disappointed!
The Squire at the Branches is a must-visit! The staff is super friendly and attentive, making you feel relaxed and right at home. The food? Absolutely delicious, with each dish packed with flavor. I especially enjoy visiting on nights with live music, it creates the perfect vibe for a fantastic night out. Highly recommend, it’s a great addition to our town.
We came to squires for my father’s birthday party. Out server Jackie was amazing, quick with the drinks and very friendly. Food, atmosphere and hospitality was aces!
We go to Squires often. Food is great. The manager Faye is so nice. The staff is amazing. Shoutout to Danielle, Tallita, Cory, Marisa, Jackie, Charlie, and Jared!! They treat you like family!
This place hits all the right notes! The staff is super friendly, the food and service exceeds expectations, and the whole experience goes above and beyond. Highly recommend! I took part in a celebration for my grandfathers 85th Birthday and the staff went over the top to make it a special night, especially with the amazing cake and sparkler candles they added for fun!
My wife and I had dinner here last night and we were both extremely impressed. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the food was even better. I had the halibut, which was the best I have ever had, and my wife had the pork chop, which was even better. If you have not been to the Squire, I absolutely recommend!
Love this place, everyone is very friendly, and the service was perfect. I have been there for lunch and for happy hour and both times did not disappoint. I cannot wait to go to one of their events that they host. The atmosphere was very clean and decorated beautifully. I cannot say enough about the Squire. 10 out of 10. It is a must go to spot for any occasion!
Faye and team are outstanding. Thank you for creating such a beautiful setting for our family event today. Beautifully decorated for the holiday, it was like a winter wonderland. We’ve held many special affairs there, as well as it being our go to for dinner and they never disappoint. From the moment you’re greeted at reception, to their incredible wait staff and fantastic food offerings - it’s always on point.
Ashley was great. She thought it was awesome that I was sharing my birthday dinner with my pup when I went home. Prompt service never having to wait for anything. Refills utensils cleaning plates. I'm not sure who the one busser was but she mentioned a lot of thought went into my birthday dessert plating and I thought that was cool. We love this place and hope we get a server with such high standards as Ashley again.
This was our first time here. We came to attend a holiday party. The establishment looked very appealing as we arrived. We received a friendly greeting at the door and were directed to a lovely room for our party. The attentiveness and food was not your typical catering hall experience. We were treated as though we were special guests and had the chef preparing a special meal just for us. My braised short ribs and my wife’s shrimp dinner were outstanding. This was the case from our appetizers to our desserts. We enjoy dining out very regularly. The Squire at Branches is an hour and twenty minutes from our home. It was well worth the trip and I look forward to our next visit to experience the restaurant and it’s comfortable atmosphere. Thank you for a nice night. Wayne & Debbie Miller Monmouth Junction, NJ
Jackie was fabulous as our server. She was very pleasant and attentive. You can tell she enjoys what she is doing. The restaurant is so beautiful and always decorated for all the holidays. The food & drinks are amazing. We love it there. Everyone treats you like family. Highly recommend everyone to try it. You will love it too!
This place was gorgeous inside! Holiday decor was still up even 3 weeks after New Year’s, but I loved it. There was a love performer which usually isn’t my thing, but it wasn’t too loud and it didn’t distract from the atmosphere or my dinner. The drinks were superb. The service was top notch! Cory was our waiter and he was so friendly and attentive. The food was good as well.
This was our first time here. Our waitress, Jackie, was very friendly and helpful. We were having dinner before a show and pressed for time. She made sure we were done in time without rushing us. The atmosphere was so cheery and beautiful. My drink was festive and delicious. The food, especially their specialty bread was both eye pleasing and very tasty. We will definitely be coming back. I hear the happy hour is wonderful.
We had the most amazing dinner at The Squire last night! Three of us who have been friends for life had our Christmas celebration and loved every minute. We tend to be tough critics…and good cooks…and had no complaints at all. The food was fabulous…we each had prime rib…the cocktails were unique and delicious…we had martinis and blackberry cosmos (wow!)…Our server, Jackie, went out of her way to accommodate us on menu choices, offered great suggestions, and felt like a friend by the time we left. As people who dine out often, we were truly impressed! And on a Wednesday night! The only other restaurant in Monmouth County I’ve enjoyed this much is Butcher Block…and Squire’s might have me with the blackberry cosmo! Prices were fair, ambiance is roomy yet warm and cozy, and every aspect was welcoming! Jackie is an asset to your business…and we also met the manager, Faye, who was lovely and we hear did all the decorating…Nicely done!!! We’ll be back!
I’ve been going to the Squire and have attended a few events at Branches over the past few years and have always had wonderful experiences! The staff here is like family. They always welcome you with a smile and have exceptional service. One of the bartenders, Charlie, is the best bartender in Monmouth county! Hands down the best espresso martini you can get !!🍸 Hes also great conversation. If you haven’t tried yet, you should definitely check it out :)
We absolutely love The Squire! Every visit is a great experience from start to finish. The squire burger and the pepperoni with hot honey pizza are both incredible- full of flavor and perfectly prepared. The espresso martini quickly became a favorite drink for my girlfriend. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff is always polite and attentive, and the live music adds such a fun and vibrant touch to the evening. This has quickly become one of our favorite spots, and we always look forward to coming back. If you have not been yet, you are missing out!!!
I dont usually leave reviews but The Squire needs to be recognized for the gem that it is! From the second you walk in the double doors, you're greeted by friendly faces who will escort you to your table to begin a killer culinary experience. Every chair is the best seat in the house! The decor is always beautiful and meticulous while the fireplace gives you that warm, cozy feeling - especially in these winter months. Go for lunch and stay for Happy Hour! Meet friends for football on Sunday! Or reserve a table for dinner and enjoy the popular Frank & Dean show! The cocktails are always delicious with a variety of seasonal/festive choices to get you in the holiday spirit but if thats not your thing, the beer list is long and they are nice & cold. The bartenders, waiters & waitresses are just so good....friendly and attentive. And OMG the food!!!! The food is in a league all its own and the presentation is always perfect. You literally can NOT miss! Everything is to die for! Give it a try & say hello to Steven & Amy Meyer while you're there! They've created a pretty amazing place!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 — A Hidden Gem Worth Discovering! I recently dined at The Squires and was absolutely blown away by the entire experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and full of charm — the perfect blend of classic elegance and modern comfort. The staff were exceptional — friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Our server took the time to recommend a few dishes and even shared a bit about the local ingredients they use, which made us feel truly cared for. Now, let’s talk about the food. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The starters were fresh and inventive, while the main course was cooked to perfection — tender, expertly seasoned, and paired with just the right sides. The dessert was a showstopper; the kind that makes you slow down to savor every bite. The Squires clearly takes pride in every detail, from the quality of their ingredients to the way they treat their guests. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just want an unforgettable meal, this restaurant is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be returning soon — my only regret is not finding The Squires sooner!
Cory was awesome! Super friendly, easy to talk to, and really on top of everything the whole time. He knew the menu well, had great recommendations, and made sure we were taken care of without hovering. Our food and drinks came out perfectly and the whole experience just felt smooth and relaxed. He definitely made our night better, would 100% ask for Cory again!
Went for Valentine’s Day with my fiancé and had such a great experience ! Cute ambiance and vibes. Great service and delicious food. Our waitress was very nice and attentive to our table. We really enjoyed our night and will go back for dinner soon!
The Squire is truly one of our favorite places to go for dinner, especially as a family. The martinis are amazing, especially the espresso martini, and the homemade desserts and ice cream from Ryan's are such a special touch. I had the charred octopus which was honestly the best I ever had, along with the French onion soup and ricotta gnocchi, everything was outstanding!!!! The pizza and homemade mozzarella sticks are a huge hit with the kids. Our server, Corey, was so pleasant and attentive, and the live music made the whole experience even more fun for everyone. It's rare to find a place with food this good that's also affordable and welcoming for families and kids.
The Squire is hands down my favorite restaurant. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels like classic elegance without ever being stuffy, which is why I love stopping in for happy hour just as much as dinner. It is impossible to choose between Poppy’s Chocolate Martini and the espresso martini. They are both truly the best around. The homemade French onion dip is an absolute must have and something I order every time. The Chicken Milanese is always perfectly done, the scalloped potatoes are rich and comforting, and the crème brûlée is the perfect dessert. Everything is consistently fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. The Squire never disappoints!
We stopped in for Valentine’s Day Eve. Jackie was a great server - kept us laughing the whole night. Food was excellent! My husband and I ordered the calamari, the clams, the mozzarella sticks, a salad, and the rigatoni with meatballs, all to be shared with each other. All delicious. Ate and left no crumbs. Restaurant is a vibe, totally decked out to the nines for Valentine’s Day photo ops galore for all of my MoCo girly pops.
Stopped by The Squire for a dinner with some family. Our server Jackie did an amazing job. She provided excellent service with a smile, and even remembered us from the previous time we’ve had dinner there. Although the atmosphere, spacious seating arrangement, and beautiful bar are all top notch, it’s people like Jackie that really sell the experience.
Aesthetically pleasing restaurant and a really friendly server. However, that’s where the good ends. Drinks and appetizers took nearly 1 hour after being seated and ordering. This included our kids food as well. We saw other tables who came much later than us being served before us. Our calamari was lukewarm. My wife’s cosmo was poorly made. The cornbread that came with my entree was cold. Do not recommend.
We made a 7pm reservation for Valentines dinner weeks in advance and requested a larger table for the two of us. When we checked in we were told we would have to wait until a table became available and was instructed to wait at the bar, What is a reservation for if not for your table to be ready but we did what they asked, the drinks I ordered from the bar were wrong, had to be made twice and were so strong I couldn’t even drink them, we waited 15 minutes for our table and when seated the table was a small compact wobbly fold up table at the edge of the dining room, I informed them this is not the table we requested and they made us go back to the bar for a different table after 15 more minutes they bring us to the exact same table in another spot, so I explain my unhappiness and they made us go back to the bar again. We waited an hour before finally getting seated. We ordered our meals, the first two courses were very good but the portions were small. Then came the big problems, My Partner ordered the Orecchiette, he asked the server if it was spicy because he did not like anything remotely spicy, she explained it had black pepper but would have it removed and said it was not spicy at all. I ordered the filet mignon medium rare with a lobster tail, when the food arrived and my partner tasted his it was so spicy he couldn't even swallow it. My Filet was cooked the wrong temperature and was well done, the server apologized and took both dishes back and my partner ordered the parmesan crusted Halibut instead, when she returned she only brought my meal and the Filet was still cooked wrong and the lobster tail was cold and I couldn't believe they expected me to eat alone and stare at my partner with no food on valentine’s day and when they brought the Halibut he didn't even like it and barely ate it. The couple sitting at a table next to us leaned over and said your food it terrible to huh and explained how unhappy they were with everything. Finally came the desserts, the cheese cake was so dry you couldn't even swallow it and the red velvet cake was a mouth full of sugar. We truly had great expectations but the entire night was not good and ruined our entire Valentine’s Day. I requested to speak to the manager, we explained the entire situation to her. Her answer was to offer us a free drink and to not let this experience tarnish their stellar service on regular nights, I declined the drink and she took the lobster tail off the bill instead of comping the meal my partner didn't even get to eat, when we got the bill we were double booked and charged for three meals. After they corrected it, I paid over $325 and we immediately left unhappy and angry, it was by far the worst evening, food and experience I have ever had. The next day I went back in person to speak to someone due to not feeling it was handled well and we were unhappy with the outcome. I was told I can either speak to the same manager again or can contact the owner, knowing the manager did nothing to rectify our the dinner I chose to call the owner and left him a message and requested a call back to discuss what took place and never received a return call, I guess only people who had good things to say get responses and unhappy customers are just ignored I just can't believe how bad from beginning to end the experience was and even more how it was brushed off as not a big deal... Thank you Squire for ruining what should have been a beautiful intimate Valentines dinner. Disgraceful.
Was very excited to eat at this restaurant. My daughter and I had 6:30 dinner reservations on Friday February 13, 2026 then a concert. We were sat promptly at a very small table which was close to bar which was loud. We sat at the table with no acknowledgment and watch the waiter’s and waitress’s run around like a Chicken with their heads cut off. I would have normally gotten up and left but the location of restaurant was near theater where show was. So I complained to hostess and then got service. Due to timing issues we had to forgo the Appetizers and Dessert. Main dishes were disappointing- Salmon overcooked and dry. Asked for lemon to moisten fish instead I get 2 halves of a lemon grilled which doesn’t help my overcooked and dried fish. The food overall lacked taste. I was very disappointed because this restaurant was listed as one of the best restaurants in Monmouth County. Base on my personal experience it is far from the best. I cannot recommend this restaurant but you have to make your own choice. Very disappointed and I will not be back.
