Good brisket, amazing sides, friendly staff and a great space. A huge bonus (for me at least) is that they are just across the parking lot from one of my favorite spots, ODD Muse Brewing, so I'll definitely be back. Can't wait to explore more of their huge menu!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Norma was absolutely amazing! She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. Her service was fast, professional, and always with a smile. She truly made our experience at Crossbuck BBQ even better. Thank you, Norma!
I wanted to let you all know how much my family enjoyed our Holiday Dinner you provided. It was cooked to perfection, ordering and pickup were seamless. I have already recommended you to friends. Thanks again and Happy New Year!
Norma was such a sweetheart. My first time here I stumbled upon it and I fell in love. The rolls are sooooo good and loved the bread pudding. The ribs are delicious. My least favorite was the potato salad and that is just because I am not so much of a vinegar girl for my potato salad. 4.5 out of 5
I love me some good barbecue and this is truly a hidden gem. They put a nice twist in classic Texas barbecue flavors by adding a hint of Asian fusion in their dishes. My party and I ordered plenty to try a little bit of everything, and I'm glad we did. Tender meats with a strong kick from unique yet familiar Asian flavors, and you will fall in love with their homemade dill pickle. Definitely will be returning.
Food was amazing. My daughter and I decided to drive over at opening because the time before they were sold out. Welp so glad we did, we had the brisket , pork ribs, sausage and loaded potato. Everything was so tender and good. Damien assisted us and was absolutely amazing customer service. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and gave a great recommendations and portion size so we didn't over or under order. I can't wait to come back and try some other items.
I’ve been a fan of CrossBucks since day one they opened! Yes the BBQ is delicious here if thats the answer you’re looking for. Of course there are so many choices and opinions of BBQ places in the DFW, but you will never find more passionate, friendlier, and hardworking guys than the owners Tim and Damian! They’re always smiling and adding flavor and variety to BBQ world! My new favorite is this Brisket Baked Potato! Excellent Mac and definitely get a few links of the sausage with a kick! If you need real drinks they got those covered as well! They are also excellent at throwing large party events as my fitness studio recently had a great event here! Get in here and prepare to be happy and full!
Tried this place on a whim. It was really really good. I know there is lots of BBQ places here in town but this was excellent. Their coleslaw is outstanding! But the meat was awesome! Pork with Hoisen sauce( not normal but excellent!). Sausage, Brisket and burnt ends—- all great. Just come here
Over this past 4th of July weekend, I hosted a large baby shower at Crossbuck BBQ and my experience was amazing!! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. I worked alongside Beth, Tim and Damien through catering, party planning details and set up. They gave top notch service and were eager to help with all of my questions! We had over 60 people on the patio and it was a great party! So thankful to have been able to host at such a great venue with great barbecue!!! Thank you, Beth and Tim for allowing us to celebrate at Crossbuck!
We had friends and family gather here yesterday for a sprinkle shower. My husband and I had been here a couple of times before and really enjoyed the atmosphere so we knew this was the place to gather for a special moment. We had friends come from Austin and even Miami as well, everyone enjoyed the food! The staff was AMAZING, everyone was so helpful and the assistant manager made sure to check in on our group, which was nice. They have options for everyone, even a vegetarian. Recommend Crossbuck BBQ 100%!
This is a great little gem! The service was super friendly, the food was solid! The spicy Mac and Cheese was a little too much, however the ribs and the brisket was wonderful. They serve $3 frozen margaritas everyday! They have a little outdoor setting, big screens to watch the games. Overall solid place. We got 2 plates (came with 2 sides and 1/2 of 2 meats that you want) with 2 drinks for $50 after tip.
If you are looking for some amazing and innovative bbq, I highly recommend going here. We loved everything we had and enjoyed the creativity with the recipes! The brisket was so moist and tender, melted in my mouth! The sausage was so flavorful and they are constantly coming up with new recipes such as Al Pastor and a cheesy hot Cheetos recipe! The turkey breast was so juicy and not a speck of dryness! One of my favorite things were the brisket burnt ends. They were incredible. Loved how they mix a sweet rub with Shiner to create this masterpiece! My other favorite was the pulled pork! This had an Asian flare to it to create a spicy and sweet recipe! We had so many sides such as the Mac n cheese that every member could have probably drank! I really loved the creamy hominy too which you don’t find at many places! And let me suggest a frozen margarita to complement your amazing meal! It was so good! We cannot wait to come back and you should make sure to go!
We were one of the lucky one who got to try this new BBQ place within a week’s opening. Yes, they have sweet and unsweetened tea. The process is to get two proteins and two sides. There were four of us, plus my baby granddaughter. It was fun seeing what we all picked out. I got pulled pork and the smoked salmon…the whole piece, because my husband knows me very well…and my sides were yummy beans and white macaroni and cheese. I enjoyed every bit. Another plate was ribs, sausage, hominy, and steamed veggies. And the final plate included ribs, smoked salmon, coleslaw, and beans. The beans had delicious pieces of meat in it…I’m guessing ham hocks. I didn’t get a picture of the fourth plate, but there wasn’t anything on it that I haven’t covered. After lunch we went across the way to get an ice cold craft beer.
OMG!!! Awesome BBQ!! You have to try this place. Just opened and the Ribs are top notch! Everything was great… brisket, sausage, but the ribs stole the show! Brand new place, staff is super friendly, TVs everywhere no matter where you sit, lots of seating without being crowded, good parking. This will easily be THE BBQ spot in Dallas. Try it out… you will be surprised how good it really is!!! Highly recommended!
1.mac and cheese- very watery but cheesy flavor is good. 2/5 2.baked beans- a bit salty and not as sweet as other bbq spots almost like a smoked ranch style cook/flavor. 3/5 3.brisket- not too tough but overcooked, 3/5 4.sausage - best so far, good grind on the insides, a crunchy casing and tender inside with a ton of flavor, 5/5 5. Roasted Potatoes - odd flavor for bbq pairing jut didn't seem to fit 2/5 6.burnt ends- Large chunks and over cooked. Some parts were tough. 2/5 Sauces Sweet 5/5 Spicy 5/5
I’ve driven by crossbuck barbecue multiple times and decided to stop in for a late lunch today. There is only one other patron when I arrived, you walk up and order your food, very casual. They have a variety of meat options as well as sides. They also had beer options. Interior is rustic with some hand painted logos throughout. There is ample seating inside, and a patio outside. Even though it was a tad chilly I enjoyed lunch on the patio. The prices were a bit high in my opinion, but you are served an ample amount of food. I opted to have the brisket and turkey, vegetables, which included squash and broccoli, and the black-eyed peas, since it was New Year’s Day. The brisket and turkey had a really nice smoky flavor. The turkey was moist but the brisket was a tad dry. Black Eyed Peas had a really nice flavor. Food was also served with a roll. They had a sweet and spicy barbecue options, I tried the spicy, had a nice flavor and kick. There were pickles, and a type of relish, that really was tasty. It was an overall good experience, I would definitely come back to give them another try. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A very pleasant place to enjoy BBQ. They have a limited menu but it's a strong point as they focus on key plates such as the brisket, ribs or pulled pork. I had the brisket and it was good, with the burnt edges like I wanted. The low point were the veggies and bread as I felt they lacked flavor. The decor is modern industrial, it makes you feel comfortable. I wasn't sure about the tip as it's not a full dine in restaurant, my suggestion would be to leave 10% to 15%.
WARNING… A long review Food: We had the pork ribs, jalapeño sausage, brisket, and potatoes. We were given the option of small, medium or the large option, so we chose the medium option to share between my wife and myself. Pork ribs - The pork ribs were on the over cooked side. They were served with a spicy sauce over them which made it not so easy to enjoy. Lots of seasoning and pretty good smoke on them. 4 total pork ribs given. 2 out of 5 Jalapeño sausage - The sausage did not have any smoke flavor to them and didn’t taste fresh or recently cooked. The portion size was good. 1.8 out of 5 Brisket - The brisket was dry and lacked flavor. There was a faint taste of smoke and the seasoning was barely there. The portion size was good. 1. 5 out of 5 Potatoes - We bought the large portion. The potatoes didn’t seem fresh. They were greasy. I did enjoy the curry flavor however. We ended up eating very little of them and took them home as leftovers. The portion size was good. 3 out of 5 Overall food review, was not good. I read the website before coming and was excited to try them out. However, when I arrived at noon 6/15/24, I noticed only a few people sitting in the restaurant which was shocking for a bbq spot. I understand now. The ambition to do something different in the bbq space in Dallas could be good if the basics in bbq are followed. Not wrapping your brisket is a missed opportunity. The very basics in bbq are being ignored here and it’s a shame. Service: The service was just okay. We stood at the counter for a few minutes without any acknowledgement. We finally figured out what we wanted and the lady told us to hold on even though we were the only people in line. She apparently needed to collect money from a person who was already sitting down eating for some reason. The lady did come by after we received our order and asked if everything was okay which was good. 3 out of 5 Atmosphere: The place was clean, the restroom was clean and the place was well decorated. 4 out of 5 Price: It was a touch on the expensive side but, Texas bbq isn’t cheap so I understand. We spent $49 I believe . 3 out of 5 To conclude my review, this place has potential. I would recommend sticking to the basics in smoking meat. If the goal is to please a variety of people, the meat has to stand alone, the sides can be inspired by different cultural tastes but the meat has to be good. If you like Dickeys bbq, this place is a step above that in my opinion.
