Opinions de kokyou ramen Farmingdale
If you’re looking for a spot that hits the mark on both soul-warming bowls and killer starters, Kokyou Ramen is a must-visit. From the moment you walk in, the service is friendly and attentive, making the whole experience feel welcoming and easy. The Starters We kicked things off with a few appetizers, and they did not disappoint: • Fried Chicken: Perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It’s that addictive kind of crunch you hope for. • Dumplings in Chili Oil: These were a standout. The dumplings were tender, and the chili oil added a fantastic kick without being overwhelming. The Ramen The menu has an amazing variety of options, but we decided to step outside the traditional tonkotsu box: • Kalbi Ramen: A rich, savory experience. The tender, marinated short rib pairs beautifully with the broth, adding a deep, smoky sweetness. • Wild Pepper Ramen: For those who like a bit of an adventure, this bowl delivers a unique, tingly heat that keeps you coming back for another spoonful. Verdict: Great food, excellent service, and a menu diverse enough to keep you coming back to try everything else.
Just ate here and food was served warm and fresh out of the kitchen and I didn’t need to wait so much. Ordered Tonkotsu Ramen and Takoyaki with coke. The Ramen was hot and full of ingredients that hit right at my stomach and the Takoyaki was really good with the inside so tasty. The coke was ice cold which paired nicely with the meal. The place is so clean and the atmosphere has the quiet vibe to make your eating experience good as you wolf down that soul restoring bowl of flavor. Happily fulfilled and reasonably priced too.
New favorite spot has definitely been discovered! I just recently moved to the area, and have been trying different places. Went here once with my friends and food/atmosphere/service was all top tier. Ordered today for delivery on uber 30min before they closed, quality still ON POINT! Also definitely try their mocktails, SOOOOO yummy! Super impressed, with this place so far and will definitely be coming here all the time!
Ramen was very good. One of the better places around for pure taste. Could have used some padding on the seat but that’s a minor suggestion. Would recommend for a tasty bowl of ramen.
The ramen here is fantastic — rich broth, springy noodles, and all the toppings are spot on. We also tried the takoyaki, braised beef, and the spicy edamame with the chef’s special sauce — all were absolutely delicious. Their sparkling sodas are a must-try too, especially the yuzu flavor, super refreshing and perfect with the food. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and overall the best ramen spot in Long Island. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Ramen was really good. Also try their garlic edamame. The flavor was so good. They also had bubble tea. I tried the coconut and it became my favorite. Will definitely come back.
Very nice, super clean, great portions and decent pricing. We all liked the prison style metal cups.
My family and I went here and it was amazing! The staff here are kind and welcoming. The customer service was amazing as well as the food! The food was done quickly and well!! We all had ramen soup and an appetizer of wings. It was definitely worth it!!
New clean place, u love ramen this place is it! Steam buns are delicious and don't get me started on the wings, no sauce needed for these. Place is bright and welcoming, staff is friendly and on top of everything. Ask for things the way u like it and they'll make the adjustments, me everything extra spicy! Enjoy!
Food was very delicious. I ordered the Grilled Tofu Don and Beef Donburi. First time here and first time having donburi. You can tell they take pride in their food and the presentation as well. Would highly recommend. As it was our first time, we decided to dine in. Weren’t sure if we had to order the food at the counter or if they would come to us. We waited for a little bit at the table before the waitress made eye contact with us and asked if we would like to dine in. I would recommend you make contact with the waitress once you sit so there’s no awkward waiting around haha. Other than that, highly recommend.
Very nice and chill atmosphere. The staff was great and very quick service. The food was fantastic. Loved the starters and ramen. Would highly recommend.
We had ramen for take out. First of all, they have perfect serving style for take out, broth was separate from the noodles and other ingredients. You mix it yourself one you get to eat, that’s perfect. All food we got from here was very good💯
What a lovely restaurant, great decor and food. I had tonkotsu ramen, the broth was rich and flavorful and they were able to make it a little less salty for me. Takoyaki came steaming hot and they were better than usual. Portions were generous and everyone enjoyed their meal. Don't miss out on this hidden gem in Farmingdale.
Was passing by after getting gas one day. Then saw this place opened up gave it a try 20 minutes before closing so I ordered take out, I had the Kalbi ramen and the beef was as tender as cotton candy, spice level was right on target and packing was really good for ramen take out. Today I decided to go back and try the sit down experience, I ordered the pork buns to start off they were very simple and very good. My main course was the shoyu paitan ramen (chicken ramen) it was impressively great, Chicken was shaved just right and the broth was the winner in my opinion. The owner was super nice and stopped by to check to see if everything was good, it was nice having a conversation with her and hearing about her newly opened store of course I told her how great everything was. 9 times out of 10 most ramen places in Long Island aren’t worth going back to. Kokyou this place will do good as long as they can be consistent with their menu. I will be going back to try other items on their menu and also recommend this place to anyone that enjoys good ramen.

Stopped by here for a quick dinner. I gotta say the food is bombtastic. The chicken wings are sooo crispy and so tender on the inside. Paired with their sauce. 👌🏼👌🏼. I also got the lemon jasmine tea and it was really refreshing. Not too sweet like other tea places. For main course I got the curry chicken donburi. And of course, amazing as well! I’ll be coming back!
We stayed at the Hilton-Long Island in Melville and decided to try Kokyou Ramen's takeout menu for the first time. It was the most beautiful and wonderful Japanese dining experience on Long Island! The Gyuniku Ramen was seasoned perfectly with its broth and tender, braised beef. The Seafood Ramen was well-proportioned with its shrimp, scallops, and mussels. Clearly, the texture and ingredients of the actual ramen noodle is of high quality, very different than processed, instant ramen. The juicy eggs were perfectly cooked with a soft, creamy flavor. The Mango and Strawberry Milk Teas were exceptional and deliciously filled with tapioca pearls. But, most of all, I was impressed with the cleverly constructed takeout containers used for the ramen. The soup was separated from the rest of the ingredients which prevented the ingredients from being overcooked. Everything in my takeout bag was thoughtfully packed and organized. I look forward to trying their appetizers and Donburi on my next visit. Bravo!
Amazing food, the seafood ramen doesn’t have fish cake but that’s ok it has shrimp and muscle and oyster so I can’t complain. Looks beautiful inside and the staff are wholesome. The prices are decent and the drinks are nice. Would come again.
Best soup place I’ve ever been to! It’s soo good and I love everything that is added to it. The staff was also super friendly. I got my food pretty quickly too was perfect. Will definitely be coming back here again.
This is a nice Ramen shop located in a small strip of stores servicing Farmingdale, and the adjoining areas of Suffolk County. Not Japanese. The staff is nice. Prices are reasonable. Clean facilities. Cash discount given. And the food is good. If you’re going to compare this place to Ramen shops in New York City don’t come here then. But for Suffolk County it’s pretty good. Give this place a try if you’re in the area. We will definitely be going back. Thank you to the owner for responding. We look forward to patronizing your establishment again soon. ESJ
A clean, well-designed spot in Farmingdale - close to the airport. The fried chicken bao was really good. Tasted fresh and flavorful. I got the Kalbi Ramen, extra spicy. It came out quickly, nice and hot. Good portion size of soup and noodles. Half an egg and 3 pieces of kalbi meat left me wanting a bit more. Also, the flavor of the broth was mid. I'd go back and try the tonkotsu next time to see if it hits more. Service was kind, but they did not check on us enough after we got our food. I had to flag them down for the check. I really like the cleanliness and decor. It's a good spot and I'd definitely be back.
Very happy to discover a new ramen place In the Melville/farmingdale area right off of 110. It was nicely decorated and very clean. The service was amazing , they are very nice and friendly. The ramen was good , the broth had a lot of flavor , I will definitely come back to try other menu items.
Newly open Ramen shop. We ordered a take way dinner and they packed everything nicely. Especially the ramen. We ordered chicken Katsu Donburi, Curry Chiken Katsu Donburi, Wild Pepper Ramen, Kalbi Ramen and Strawberry Shake. Strawberry shake was fantastic and really really good. Kalbi Ramen was spicy but I preferred it more than wild pepper Ramen. Donburis were average. Nice and clean place.
My coworker told me about this place recently, so I decided to try it out today. I placed an order for pickup. I had the shoyu paitan ramen along with the strawberry matcha latte. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a lady with a smile. The place is immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. I think it's brilliant how they package my to-go beverage with a sealed lid to prevent leakage. Food was beautifully packaged as well; complete with napkins and chopsticks. The broth was separate from the noodles and veggies to avoid sogginess, which I appreciated. Overall, I like the food I wasn't blown away by it. I wasn't a fan of the salty rim/matcha portion of my drink, but it was an okay beverage. Next time, I will dine in to get a better feel for this establishment. Also, I am open to trying a different food item and beverage.

An affordable Ramen place in Farmingdale, right next to Adventureland. Food is fine all in all. My issue was with the server, and she's not the brightest out there. It's almost like she's is hearing impaired as I had to repeat everything like 3 times, or she didn't understand English. It took her 15 minutes to get our beers and had to ask multiple times. She didn't explain buy 1 get 1 free beer had to be for the same person. The owner brings the 2nd ones after we were done with dinner and ready to hit the road! Definitely avoid the waitress that wears 👓.
