This is my favorite Indian restaurant — I could honestly eat here every day! The food is absolutely amazing. If I could make one small request, though, it would be to change the music videos playing in the dining area. The loud, fast-paced videos can be a bit overwhelming, and they take away from the dining experience. Something more traditional or calming would make the experience so much more enjoyable. Right now, it's actually starting to affect how often I want to eat in. 😔

We had ordered mutton chops, mutton kadai and garlic naan. The mutton kadai was all capsicum in onion paste gravy, this is not right when they charge almost 18$ . The garlic naan had uncooked raw garlic on top and the chips had a weird masala flavor. We though to try it and may be never again. Updating my review to 4 stars after I had tried ordering in again, the mutton biriyani, chicken lollipop and rasmalai - the food tasted amazing not sure what magic changes happen but kudos to Ista Indian cuisine. Loved the flavors. Keep on, surely a 'will visit again' place now.

August 2022 Visited this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon for lunch with friends. There is ample parking, the seating area was nice and spacious, the Buffett section was very well laid out and the price was reasonable given the selection of food. I often try to search for places that offer lunch Buffett to get a glimpse of the quality of the food offered and this place didn’t disappoint, apart from a few things that I’ll touch upon later. The food options (both for vegetarian and meat eaters) was good and they offer complementary naan bread (not Garlic Naan). As far as drinks were concerned, there was lemonade and masala chai. I tried almost everything that was on display, from chili chicken (which was a must try), tandoori chicken (which was colder than a beer kept in a refrigerator, unfortunately), andhra chicken curry coupled with puri (YES, you read this right, they had puri!!!) and Naan along with methi paneer curry and veg jalfrezi. There were also fried pakoras and deserts (rice pudding and carrot halwa). Let’s talk about the pricing, we paid $15/ person excluding taxes and tip. For the price, the Buffett was a steal. My only regret was that the food was cold, maybe we went a little too early for lunch that they didn’t have the time to heat everything. Also, I was expecting some kind of shrikhand or amraas to pair with the puri (all the desi crowd would definitely agree with me on this :D), maybe I’m overreaching here with that puri shrikhand, but the pros far out way the cons here. This was one delightful meal and I’d highly recommend anyone to try this lunch Buffett.

Careful if you order anything from here for pickup. If uber says 30 mins to pickup, add an additional 30 mins because the order will never be ready and you'll have to wait. Writing this review after 3 failed delayed small orders. Ended up canceling my order. Only order here if you're willing to wait over one hour.

I recently visited Ista Indian Cuisine for their buffet on Weekend and I have to say the experience was very disappointing. The soup was the worst I have ever tasted—watery, bland, and completely lacking any real flavor. For a restaurant that claims to serve authentic Indian cuisine, this was extremely underwhelming. They didn’t even kept the Veg Biryanis for the Vegetarian people Just the white rice and Lemon rice which was not expected. The Poori is like for kids I believe because the size of the poori is very very small they made like 8 slices like Pizza on the whole round poori. Overall it was worst experience I went on weekend because the staff mentioned they’ll have 35+ items during Friday, Saturday and Sunday but it’s not worth going

Prices gone up, quality of food down. Service great. Atmosphere great. For the prices of vegetarian menu currently served here, the food quality is not good at all anymore. ($18 for Kadai paneer but the gravy has no spices at all, only a smooth paste, paneer and a cube of capsicum). It used to be a good restaurant around but quality of food has degraded way too much. Probably not great for vegetarians anymore.

We ordered food for a party of 6 people and was highly disappointed. It was a pickup order and I sadly say the highlight of the entire food order was the samosas that were the only decent thing. The chicken kabab were so dry definitely not fresh The curry was spicy even for a mild order. The veg Biryani again was just filled with spices which does not mean flavor. Vegetable were all overcooked and stale The naans had raw garlic on it that was so pungent that I could not get my breath clean even after 24 hrs. I had wanted my office to enjoy some authentic Indian food and this place failed in every aspect If u want simple and flavorful food I would rather recommend Flavors of India in lewisville

I’ve had this restaurant on my list to visit for a long time and finally had the opportunity to. I was instantly disappointed. The buffet spread looked good but the food itself was disappointing. The food was too bland. They had chole bhatura and the bhaturas were crispy, and chole was bland. I had to add onions and lime on the side and it still didn’t do justice. They had sort of aloo gobi that looked so watery and again - bland. The aloo gobi tasted nothing like aloo gobi and it was more of a mush, even serving it on to the plate mushed it up. The paneer butter masala was sweet. Kids actually liked that, but not the adults. The Gajjar ka halwa was very good and that’s the reason why I gave the restaurant 2 stars. The Biriyani was dry, but the only item that had any taste or spice in it. It was more of a pulav than Biriyani but still tasted okayish. The rice was dried off and when eating it was getting dried pieces. They had some sort of beans fry and it looked too unappetizing to try it. I’m not sure about the meat options, but I think they might have been better as people were going back for seconds. If you are a vegetarian and a die hard Indian food fan this place isn’t for you. Loved the tables decor at the restaurant and the songs coming from the television. Not sure if I’ll be back though.

I ordered Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Biryani from this restaurant last night. After placing my order, I even called to request mild spice, and the person on the phone assured me she would inform the chef. The Tandoori Chicken was okay, but the Biryani was absolutely terrible -- honestly, the worst I've ever had. It wasn't even real biryani; it was just a container full of chicken and thick sauce with barely any rice. You could literally count the grains of rice in it! On top of that, it was extremely spicy despite my clear request for mild. I only took one bite of the chicken and ended up with a stomach ache. Very disappointed with the quality and preparation. Be aware of this place -- especially if you're ordering their biryani.

We had been to this restaurant this weekend . Ambience is good staff is good but food quality is very bad. Not even a single thing in a buffet seemed to be prepared fresh. My son is having a food poison after having the food from this restaurant. Please improve on the quality of food served .

I ordered a tandoori chicken and cauliflower fried rice on an offer of buy 1 get 1 offer , tandoori chicken was good but the cauliflower fried rice was too salty , and also the packing part was very worse , tandoori chicken was packed in brown cardboard boxes and then all the food was placed in the brown cover , the oil and the moisture content from the food was all over the packings , and the base of the cover was torn , I was disappointed with the cauliflower fried rice and packing

VERY DISAPPOINTED with my recent visit to this Indian restaurant. I went for the buffet today, and it was clear that most of the food was NOT FRESH. The dishes tasted and even smelled OLD, as if they had been cooked days ago rather than today. Unfortunately, nothing on the buffet tasted fresh, and several items even had an unpleasant smell. For a buffet priced at $15.99, I expected BETTER QUALITY and FRESH FOOD. Serving food that seems this old is not only unacceptable but also dangerous for customers’ HEALTH. If someone gets SICK from eating here, they could SUE the restaurant for serving unsafe food. Also, be aware that the restaurant is ASKING FOR REVIEWS and OFFERING 10% OFF in exchange. That is why you see many 5-star reviews, but PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THEM — they do not reflect the real quality of the food being served. I strongly urge the management to focus on preparing FRESH FOOD DAILY, even if that means offering fewer items. Customers deserve SAFE, FRESH, and GOOD-QUALITY meals, especially at this price. Until then, I CANNOT RECOMMEND this buffet to anyone.
