Today we are here for the first time. It's been in the area for years but on a corner in a direction we seldom travel. The ambience of the environment was nicer than I expected with its Japanese theme and zen-like atmosphere. The waiter was attentive and memorized our order which made us uncomfortable given how much we ordered. The food came out exactly as ordered with large fresh pieces of fish. Seriously the portions are much larger than normal and tasted great. I am only sad that it took me so long to give it a try. We will be back.

They let the sushi ingredients speak for themselves here. Their roll sizes are very good. Cozy location, with some nice decoration touches. They also have a decent sized menu. Prices are fairly consistent with other DFW sushi locations too.

Our go to place for great sushi! Tried the Uptown roll this time and it is at the top of our favorites list along with the dragon roll and the caterpillar roll. The staff here is so very friendly and really make you feel welcome. They work hard and serve beautiful creations of fresh sushi. They do a great take out business and have pretty fast service for a sushi restaurant. We love it!!!

I got the sushi bento box as takeout from Tsunami and it was delicious!! Definitely great value for money, I could barely finish half the box. The cucumber salad was really crisp and refreshing, gyoza were yummy, and the rolls were all super fresh and delicious. My order was completed super fast and it was an easy pickup. I would definitely order from here again.

Tsunami is my local sushi spot. Portion is very generous and service is always good. I have been coming here since the new ownership and they always welcome us with warmth. My kid’s favorite place because the Mochi desert. I am not a big roll person so I love to order sashimi of my favorites. Always my go to spot if I want to stay around Flower Mound.

First time trying this place and it was absolutely amazing. I've had a hard time finding good sushi places (I live in California but my parents live here) and I was so pleasantly surprised. My mom isn't a sushi eater and had a full meal of appetizers (they do offer non sushi/sashimi entrées).

This place is my go to for sushi all the time. I will say that the photos don't do it justice. This is my to go order and the food is always AMAZING! I always get the Ahi Tower, highly recommend it. For newbies that are kicking the tires, start with the California Rolls. One order is about 12 pieces. Another starter that I enjoy is the Tuna Tatami. Its seared tuna with mango and cucumber slices. There are so many other awesome choices too. These 3 are my normal order and they always hit the spot. Guess next time I am in the restaurant I will get the better pictures uploaded. Highly recommend this place.

This is by far the best sushi place that gives you a bang for your buck. I recommend Tsunami to anyone looking for great sushi with generous portions comparable prices. The atmosphere is serene, calm and quite. The service has always been 5 star. Before writing this review we have been here at a family 4 times and have had impeccable service every-time. Looking forward to continuing to patron this restaurant.

Staff was friendly, and I thought that the little cushions on the benches were a nice touch. I had the combination poke, which had salmon, tuna, yellow tail, and one other fish. It was very delicious. There was a little salad in the bowl that was pretty good as well. I just had a water to drink and my total was $15.10. Very happy with the price. I'll be back!

Can not say enough good things about this place. The sushi was amazing and the staff was impressive! 45 minute drive for us but worth every mile! We will be back!! Also the prices are really great 7 people under 200 with a ton of food left over lol

My family and I absolutely love this place! The staff is always so welcoming and genuinely kind, which makes such a difference. The sushi is consistently fresh and delicious, and the whole restaurant has such a cozy, comfortable vibe. It’s definitely our go-to spot here in Flower Mound. We especially love the Long Prairie Roll and their bento boxes — so good every time. Service is always quick, and everything comes out fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend!

Some of the best and easily most generous cuts of sashimi I've ever had. Tender and expertly cut, well presented and very flavorful, and with real fresh wasabi, not just the tube horseradish you get at most places. And the service is incredible - we asked for some changes to menu items and they were extremely accommodating with only minimal cost differences. Tsunami is truly a gem in FM!

The service was great! A few concerns about the menu - you don't get to choose selections if you order a nigiri combo (it's chef's choice), and while they accommodated my avocado allergy with no fuss, there were other ingredients in the roll that were not listed on the menu, so if you have allergies please ask for specifics. The food was great. The seaweed salad was crisp and fresh. The service, again, was excellent, friendly, and timely. -- Oh and I forgot to mention, the sushi portions were enormous, both the nigiri and rolls were very large. Had to take half home for dinner.

I really enjoyed the sushi I had here. their spicy mayo is delicious as well. Everything was really fresh — Great vibes.

Excellent sushi and food taste great. The waiter very friendly and big warm smile. Down side my meat little bit over cook,other than that everything perfect.

Good food, mediocre service at best. Sushi was really good, nice presentation. There were only two other tables and it was the slowest service I’ve had. Server finally got around to us and we waited on our drinks for quite awhile. Our food came out all at random. As in the appetizers came out with the main food. They got a couple orders incorrect as well. Probably won’t go back, plenty of other places to try.

He was not super friendly but made up for that with his quickness, that was until he took a phone call that lasted forever and all service stopped. The food was good. Fresh but fast. However no one working besides the one waiter apparently could do anything in the dining area. All other groups has left and it was only us left. We were ready to leave for 20 minutes or so while he sat on the phone and everyone else stared at us. It was very frustrating, they were set to close in 30 minutes for their break time and we just wanted to go. I think we will try one of the other sushi places around the area so we don’t get in that awkward situation again.
