Really good barbeque.
Came here since 2010~ Still loving them Besides the BBQ, the handmade dumplings were great!
The service was very prompt and the staff were very welcoming. We ordered gun man doo, yuk gae jjang, and galbi. All of the food was well prepared and tasty. I will definently be returning.
This restaurant is hubby and my favorite place to eat..the food is so good and service too..you won't regret eating here!
This place is our go to place whenever were in Flushing. The thing to eat is dae pae ori gui - slivered duck barbecued on a quartz slab. It's just amazing!
Great and authentic food and service, good price considering how expensive things are now!
I have a high standard for naengmyun (cold noodle) and this is so far the best naengmyun i had in NY
Great pork belly and naengmyeon. Very no frills type of spot.
One of my favorite places to eat in NYC. Get the ori daepae and split a mul nengmyueng with a friend.
I loved this place! I felt welcomed, and the service was amazing. Loved the whole experience.
Scrumptious food and friendly waitresses. Definitely want to go again
Best duck grill with classic Korean recipes part of the service
Definitely give this place a try. It’s a nice place to hang out with family and friends without distractions.
Good food with family flair and a very reasonable price!
Mul Neng Myun on a hot day. 'nuff said. Good ingredients and flavor.
Great Korean pork. Nice cuts and portions!!!!
Feels and tastes like grandma's cooking!!
Hands down the best korean pork belly spot in ny that taste like food in South Korea. I been coming here since 20 years ago and quality never went down. Staff is also friendly and attentive.
Love it here! It's definitely my new kbbq spot. The prices are reasonable and the meats plus included side dishes are great. The crystal grill makes all the difference, trust me. It's a small place but comfortable. Really recommend it here.
All time favorite korean pork bbq restaurant in ktown, that is the real authentic ktown in flushing, not touristy and hyped up or wanna be hot and viral spot of ktown in Manhattan. I'm a long time patron of this fine, no frills and straightforward pork heaven that this establishment has to offer. I always go for the soy bean paste marinated pork belly on their crystal based grill cooked by lovely ladies who could be perceived curt and indifferent if you are not used to them , lol. It doesn't hurt that they always hook me up with a bottle of soju in pork heaven.
Delicious side dishes, bbq meat. Abundant of side dishes and kimchi, lettuce keep coming when we finish during meal. BBQ prepared before us so we don’t have to deal with it. Very polite and attentive to customers. Very pleasant place to come with family, friends or couples. Cozy enough to be romantic or family bonding.
Great value for the food. Very good service. Lots of banchan variety. Simple but well executed Staff is great! Good to spread out variety of meats. (we went heavy on pork haha, but have eaten more variety) The large pork is likely enough for 6 even though they said it was enough for 4. Ah, so the staff Cooks on the tabletop grill for you.
Amazing service and meat was fresh & thick. A new non-AYCE kbbq fave spot for me. Price is also super affordable compared to neighbors. Dog friendly while outdoor seating is still open!
I've been to many KBBQ spots but I always come back here. It's my go-to spot for guaranteed good food. They occasionally have a raw marinated crab ban-chan that my family is obsessed with 🤤. Service is always wonderful.
This place is known for its crystal grill, and specialises in duck and pork. The price is pretty low compared to other bbq restaurants in the area, but the food is amazing. Their bancham dishes are especially tasty and varied. Note that it's hard to tell apart the different pork flavours (garlic, green tea etc). I just usually get the thick pork belly and sliced duck and call it a day
Delicious! Best Korean bbq, especially for the pork and the amazing kimchi! The wonderful ladies there are so attentive and accommodating, it’s really a pleasure to go. They have valet parking which is helpful but parking could be found. The food is sublime— the delicious pork, always fantastic kimchi, endless sides, the best cold noodle soup and other awesome food, they never disappoint. I come here regularly and have never went home unhappy, thank you! 😊
Delicious!!! If you prefer the show of hibachi ( which is nowadays Chinese), go somewhere else. However, if you want amazing flavors, go Korean and Han Joo is up there!
I eat here a lot and it's always very good. Many traditional Korean dishes to choose from. In Winter, I get the LA Galbi + Sundubu combo. In warmer weather, I get the mul naeng myeon, possibly in a combo (mostly with the LA galbi). From time to time, I also get the sam gyeop sal. The staff is helpful and very nice. If you have questions, don't be afraid to ask.
Great naengmyeon and kimchi. The person I went with said the meat is high quality (I wouldn't know I don't eat meat). It's a humble place - nothing fancy - but delivers on great food.
Excellent Korean BBQ, friendly service. Their kimchi is different from most Korean restaurant, their kimchi has a more fermented sour taste, which I am addicted to it after my first bite. Highly recommended.
We had the duck and short ribs today. Everything came out fast and cook just right. The staff was friendly and told us was to put where as we were tasting the side dishes. The sauce was the added touch needed. Worth coming back to!
This place has one of the best Korean BBQ's in Murray Hill, and by extension, Queens. Traditional side dishes with every meal, great hospitality, and crystal grills make this place very special. Valet parking available.
We ordered one prok belly set and a fish soup which cost 59.99 and 12 for three persons. It is not only delicious but also let us full. Deserves to recommend.
I feel like finally found good local restaurant. Definitely will visit here again!!
The Original Crystal Stone Pork BBQ! The Pork is cooked on a crystal Slab imported from Korea ... its family owned and they have another location in the city ... Another Restaurant from the Michelin Guide only in Queens! This hidden gem in Flushing represents Real Korean Food. Foodies from all over wait for a table here ... The Kimchi is a Family recipe and it is cooked from the pork belly fat that makes it way down the slab over an open Fire. In the end ... you have chicharon like crispiness that wasn't deep fried and Kimchi that is so good ... only a Korean mother would be able to replicate. Don't miss out ... the prices are so good! The side dishes are great and the service, very cordial! A must for foodies! The real Bourdain
This place is the real deal. There are a lot of new places that do hot pot and claim to do Korean bbq, but they just don't have the quality that this place has. 1.they cool the food at your table for you so you can relax 2. They provide excellent and plentiful side dishes. 3. Their selections of meat are great, including duck! 4. Everyone there is so nice. 5.the tea is great. Barley tea 6.
Lovely servers. Our family of 8 were not very knowledgeable on korean bbq etiquette but the servers were so kind to help with it. Their small dishes [bonchon?] were all so yummy we asked for 2nd and 3rd rounds. No fuss. Price is quite reasonable too. We ordered the big pork combo and were surprised by the portions. The shop does the BBQ on a clear grill, not sure if it is a gimmick or it actually differs from the traditional metal frames we usually see. They do cook everything quite fast so it was a bit hard catching up once the meats were done. Would come back.
Iv tried many Korean BBQ but I always love coming back to this place. The quality of meat, stone plate, and cooked kimchi always leaves me with a such great taste. They also have great sides such as the thin sliced white radish that compliments very well with the heavy meat. The kimchi gets cooked and placed below the meat so as the meat gets cooked, the oil drips down to the kimchi. It seems like they are short on staff when it gets busy but they are very sweet and hardworking💛 Overall a great place and would recommend!
I brought my friends here for dinner to give them an authentic Korean BBQ experience. And I was very impressed! The place was very crowded (due to how great it is I'm sure) so we had to wait a few minutes to be seated, but it was well worth it. The meat was very fresh and our server took care of all of our grilling in a very efficient and friendly manner. I also ordered the seafood pancake and the crystal noodles, both of which were quite delicious. An excellent choice for Korean food in NY. Highly recommended!
Best kbbq in all of nyc by far The ajummas are so attentive and caring But more importantly the food is so good, the duck has the perfect meat to fat ratio and when the fat drips into the kimchi (add garlic and bean sprouts too) and it's perfect with the duck Banchan is amazing (esp the braised perilla leaves) and everything is super delicious no complaints
Meats are great but they have hands down the best Nengmyun. I crave this every summer and literally come eat this every chance I get because they dont deliver. Its that serious. They cook on cystal pan which is quite different than other places and the atmosphere is mediocre but if you know what youre going there for in regards to food then 10/10.
Probably my favorite korean bbq place in all of murray hill area, where they have like over 10 korean places. The go-to items are pork belly, duck breast, and flavored soju. I really wish that they brought the meat packages back cos it was such a bargain. The staff is really nice, and they help you cook when you have no idea what you're doing!
Let me just begin by saying this place is my go to spot whenever I visit Flushing. It's a hidden gem if I do say so myself that some locals don't even know about since it's off the main strip. I always get 2-3 servings of the duck meat that comes with kimchi cooked on a glass-like tray and it is to die for. There are many places that serve duck, but usually it smells funny or the meat is cut to thick and has a gamey aftertaste which makes it very old very quick. I must warn you in advance, the waiters are kind of inconsistent and occasionally they will treat you really nicely and other times they can be a bit slow or aggravated. Despite the inconsistency in the service, I think the food is well worth 5 stars so I didn't hold back. They have valet parking, but if you want to spare 2 bucks, you can probably find parking nearby. If you never tried it before, I highly recommend giving this place a visit and taste for yourself. Very good Korean pork BBQ.
Good ingredients and flavor.
I would definitely recommend the pork belly barbecue and the cold noodles!
Very small place, very attentive service. Waiters can speak English, Korean and Chinese. Wow! Love the thick cut pork belly. Recommended!
Had nengmyun.(cold arrowroot noodles). Broth was good, noodles chewy. Not much of a decor, but it's a dive and the food is good.
Come here at least once a week. Quality of meat speaks for itself. The best kimchi anywhere in Flushing
Good bbq spot. Prices are decent. No parking which is a pain.
I came here for dinner on a Sunday. It wasn't very crowded but parking in the area is difficult. There is valet parking in the lot across the street. We ordered the small combination pork platter (thick and thinly sliced pork belly) and beef brisket for 4 people. They grill it on a crystal plate that allows the oil drip off. The meat was high quality but the marinades were hardly distinguishable - garlic, bean paste, and green tea. They also grill the kimchi as well. The service was pretty good, very attentive and fast. They give you a yogurt drink when you they bring you the check which was nice.
Very nice and attentive staff. Naengmyun was good! Flavorful and noodles were chewy. LA galbi- for $30 (combo set with noodles), this was not worth it in amount or taste. The meat usually looks very glazed and charred at other places and when I make it at home. Here, the LA galbi lacked flavor. KBBQ- I’m a bit hesitant to say this is great kbbq. The Crystal grill doesn’t seem to do a great job. I asked the staff what distinguishes this crystal grill from others and she said when they clean up, it washes well with water whereas the other ones are hard to wash. I understand it’s convenient for them, but I feel like the meat didn’t have the same taste as it does from a charcoal grill or others. The fact that they had duck meat as kbbq was unique.
Han Joo Chik Naeng Myun & BBQ is one of our favorite Korea BBQ in Flushing. Parking is difficult around there but the wait wasn’t bad. Their decor was historical and authentic with narrow-spaced seats. 아줌마 (A-Jum-Ma) there who can also speak Chinese were super friendly, passionate and honest. My husband and I tried to order “no.1 Do Ya Ji(L)” which is for 4 people with all pork selection. A-Jim-Ma stopped us and recommended us to order “no.3 Mo Deum Sam Gyup Sai(S)” for 2 people instead. She was completely right and we ended up full but not feeling greasy. The quality of their pork was not the best but the way they served would let us feel satisfied. We highly recommend to have their green-tea-flavored pork belly which was delicious and light. We also tried their Seolleongtang which was cooked properly but not as great as other places which are famous with soup.
Tried this place out!! Meats are cooked over Crystal which seemed cool! But pricey!! Service was good in the beginning until a big table of 8 ppl came & there was NO Service!! We had to flag the waitress down several times for tea, to go container, napkins & the check!! Food was not bad, not worth over $200!!
Food is good waitress is good but the owner is kind of a bit lack of service.
So I'm a bit torn about the rating because one of the items that we ordered was way too salty and pretty inedible, while the other three were good, so I landed on a three star rating, but it could have been two stars. The culprit for the bad rating was the pork and kimchi dish (kimchi jeyook bokeum), which was inexplicably salty. I've had this dish at dozens of other Korean restaurants and this was the worst I've ever had. Meanwhile, we had dumplings and two types of cold noodles, which were all very good. The last thing I'll comment on was the service, which was very good overall. Yet, I don't think I'll go back to this place because there are so many other Korean restaurants in the area that are much better. It was definitely a mistake to eat here.
Crystal grill is cool and all but minimum bbq is two serving, I got too full to eat whaat I actually wanted. Soybean soup and corvina taste a bit old unfortunately. Beef brisket is okay. Cold noodle is okay. I visited for Korean hometown sentimental reasons but overall it made me feel 😑
We’ve been regulars at this Korean BBQ spot for a long time and have always appreciated the quality of the food and the generous, friendly service when dining as a couple. That’s why we were genuinely excited to bring our family here and share one of our favorite spots. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t live up to our past experiences. The server, who we've seen many times before and who had always been pleasant, seemed noticeably less welcoming this time. Because we weren’t feeling very hungry, we ordered our usual amount—but the vibe quickly shifted. There were subtle, passive comments implying that because we were a bigger group, we should have ordered more. It made us feel uncomfortable and somewhat judged, which was surprising and disappointing. The service overall felt less attentive than usual. Ban chan refills were given reluctantly, and we felt like we were being treated differently just for having more people at the table, even though our order was thoughtful and consistent with what we’ve enjoyed before. The food also didn’t seem quite as well-prepared—some of the side dishes felt rushed, and we had to handle all of the grilling ourselves with little staff support, which hadn’t been the case on previous visits. We left feeling let down, especially since we had looked forward to showing this place to our family. Sadly, the inconsistency in food and service means we won’t be returning. Consistency matters, and this visit didn’t meet the standard we’d come to expect.
Overpriced, and no flavor. But the service was good.
Although it seemed as though the waitress was trying to do her best she kept forgetting things and negatively affected the overall meal
It was average. Only thing I liked was the cold noodle here. They have mostly "pork" there, only 1 choice of beef "kalbi", and duck. Cheap with the banchan (not that great to beigin with), was hesitant to refill it even when I asked. The tables are small so whoever sits in the middle have no room to eat and gets oil splashed all over you. We ordered a combo order of kalbi with the tofu for my grandmother. Tofu soup sucks! Meat portion was small. I would probably only get cold noodle there when craving but not return for bbq. Didn't try other dishes so can't say.
We went here for galbi and naengmyun, and unfortunately, they did not impress. For the marinated ribs, at $35/order, they did not offer a lot of meat. Their thinly sliced brisket was chewy. Their naengmyun was good but not great. My biggest problem is actually with how they serve the meat. The grill is unfortunately situated a bit far from the serving end of the table. So the server has to reach in order to cook the meat. That in itself isn't bad, but it becomes a problem when the server periodically scrapes the grilling pan. I don't know why they don't simply switch the pan out. During our meal, the server literally cleaned pan in front of us, during our meal, while we're having conversations, with a bottle of water and a scraper 4 times. Each time, it took a few minutes. Besides the awkwardness, the server had no choice but to get rather invasive with her elbows in our faces while she strained to scrape the pan. To make the experience worse, the naengmyun that was supposed to come out with the meat, came very late when we were almost finished with the meat. We'll not return.
Very expensive plus there was hair in my food Very upset at this predicament
Food quality has changed. Great nengmyun, but pork belly tasted really weird. Wont return...
Used to go here 3-5 times a month because it was so good, always introduced my friends to it too. Last time i went, i politely told the waitress that the pork had a strong smell to it, a smell that usually appears if its not fresh. She apologized, and i said don’t be sorry at all it is understandable. I decided to not eat the meat, and ordered cold noodles instead. Friend decided to eat all the bbq by himself because he thought it would be a waste not to eat it. Then, the cook started yelling at his waitresses asking why we were still there eating if we said the food was bad. I was in shock. We paid, and left a big tip for the waitress for having to endure the nasty cook, and decided to never go back again.
Went on a hot day for some naeng myun(cold noodles). Went in and it was hot inside. Waiting to be served and didn’t even get a menu. Had to ask for to see a menu. Other patrons came in and ordered and got their side dish. We had to ask for our side dish when our meals came out!! Horrible service and no it wasn’t busy.
It’s pretty bad. Overpriced and meat portion is small. The food tastes bad. They serves a lot of side dishes, but something lacking on flavor. The worst Soft Tofu Soup, I ever had in my life. They charge $8 for a small beer, it’s not Manhattan. It will be out of business soon. I don’t recommend this place at all cost!
I would never recommend this place to anyone and I will never go back. I ate cold noodles here. 20 mins later when I got home, I got sick. I had diarrhea and a stomachache. The next day I found small pink dots on my chest and shoulder area. I paid to get sick and gave them tips!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Updated after reading "Response from the owner" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is ridiculous!! What kind of response is this? Did you think I made this up? Bring a medical certificate? Really? I'm sorry, but I don't have one because I didn't have to seek medical attention for these conditions. You are lucky that it was not that serious to see a doctor. I have my own medical certificate for you. Plz take a look at the picture I posted. You will see the rash, red dots on my skin which has gotten better now as well as the receipt from your restaurant. Too bad, I should have taken a picture of the watery poop too. You stated "the cold noodles are served immediately after boiling" What's the point? What about the broth ? Do you also cook/boil the broth in real time? I don't think so. How old is the broth? Do you maintain the broth at the proper temperature? It's my favorite food and I have enjoyed icy cold Korean cold noodles from many different restaurants without any issues. Your cold noodles weren't' icy cold. Oh and I don't have any food allergies.
