Opinions de Cafe 1 Fort Bragg
Amazing breakfast place. When you walk in, it appears to be a traditional diner, but the food is an organic, delicious, healthy leap up. They still have the classics, but there are dressed-up options to choose from. We had the hippy scramble with cheddar cheese (they also have the option for tofu instead of eggs), the yogurt parfait, and Earl Grey tea. There were fresh vegetables in the scramble including among others, broccoli, mushrooms, cauliflower and snap peas. The granola in the parfait tasted like it was made in-house and the fruit (strawberries, blueberries) was flavorful and fresh. The service was attentive, for example checking if we needed hot water refills for the tea. Cafe 1 was a great experience and value all around.
Excellent food and service; Cafe One exceeded our expectations. The Club Sandwich was especially delicious as it was lightly toasted and served warm. Best if eaten immediately!!
We are from Indiana—Great home made food — right down to the home made bread and jam in house. Had breakfast and it was amazing. Kind of hard to impress me with breakfast but they did
Very attentive staff and good food. There are healthy menu options and they refill hot tea for free (where as many restaurants do not). I highly recommend
Clean tables and bathroom - super yummy food and nice people 🙌🏻
Vegan options were phenomenal!!. The Breakfast was cooked so amazingly. A simple looking menu, but the textures of perfectly roasted cauliflower and colorful cabbage, potatoes, tofu, with sauce and bell peppers. Simple menu but quality of preparation is at a high level. The Server was wonderful. The atmosphere looks simple at first glance, but there is more going on here! The spaciousness, the size and dimensions of the counter, the doors, everything contrasted to the giant spoon and fork on the wall... A great feeling in here. I was surprisingly impressed by all this. Highly recommended 👍🏼
Best Vegan options in Fort Bragg. The cashew gravy was amazing. Vegan Florentine and Hippie Scramble with tofu and no cheese A+. Vegetables tasted very fresh and were seasoned appropriately. Added some hot sauce and it was perfect. Portions were well worth the price and the staff was the right balance of nice and attentive. Will definitely come again on our next visit.
This was a gem of a find. Unpretentious looking place but with awesome, wholesome food. We had brunch and the omelette and the whole grain pancakes were beyond delicious. The orange juice was freshly made too. Decently priced and the service was pretty good too. Take cash or a debit card with you.
What an awesome place! We have both egg and gluten allergies and we were able to eat here. They do use dairy or egg in a lot of the gluten free items so just ask. Staff were so accommodating and the food was just awesome. AND it’s organic!!! I wish we had a cafe like this in the peninsula. Do not let the interior fool you. This place was epic and we came here every day we were in Fort Bragg and we love it. Thank you for your commitment to sustainability and clean food! They also had a gluten free pancake (not sure if it’s a staple but it was on their special board). My kids were over the moon to order a GF pancake!
My husband and I have been coming to this restaurant for a couple of years now. They serve mostly organic, local food and you can taste the freshness and quality. Hands down they have the best clam chowder! Today I tried the "Filled-Grilled Chicken Sandwich" and the flavor is unmatched. We are usually served by either Cynthia or Angel and they are super friendly and helpful. Make sure to stop by this gem of a restaurant when you visit Fort Bragg, but come early because they are only open from 8:00-2:30. I guess that would be my ONLY complaint is that they don't serve dinner!
Today was the first time we have been to Cafe 1 & I ABSOLUTELY woukd recommend this place. Great atmosphere & AMAZING food!! It’s also organic!! We are not from this area, but will make this our breakfast place whenever we are in town!! My husband had a crab omelette & I had a bacon & cheddar omelette. The home potatoes are cooked & seasoned to perfection!! Enjoy!!
This juevos rancheros is perfect. Attention to every aspect. Two corn tortillas beneath eggs beans salsa. The tortillas part easily with a fork but are al-dente to the bite. A perfect plate. I'd like to see them offer an upgrade to local made breads, the bakery here in Fort Btagg makes amazing breads. By and large this is the best breakfast I've had in the area.
Great service, good food and solid Covid protocols. Dinner food without the greasy heavy feel of diner foods. I had the Hippy Scramble, which was an excellent blend of fresh vegetables, eggs and umami. My partner had the corn beef hash which was small hand diced potatoes with similar sized corned beef and was surprisingly lite / not oily. They have their own hot sauce and a few other condiments made in house
Cute cafe with a classic diner vibe. Food was delicious, love that there were tons of options for vegetarians and vegans! Friendly service. Mocha wasn't overly sweet.
Family style place with very tasty food and great atmosphere. I love Aloha wafle, so good with coffee.
Great place for breakfast! We had mimosas, breakfast burrito, and the hippie scramble. I love that I could choose exactly which veggies to include (and more importantly, exclude). They make their own hot sauces - all are delicious
Café One-Fort Bragg, CA. In my opinion, Café One has the best breakfast menu and food in Fort Bragg. Their menu has your everyday eggs, bacon, and fried potatoes, but they offer so much more. Locals go to this place when looking for a healthy, filling breakfast. Vegetarian breakfast options are available. Delicious turkey bacon. A spectacular Breakfast Burrito with a homemade flour tortilla, eggs, potatoes, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and avocado—simply fabulous. Scrumptious omelets with fresh veggies, and your favorite cheese. You can choose potatoes, grains, beans, or my favorite, polenta. Vegetarian breakfast of Shiitake Mushroom Hash might be your style. Whole grain pancakes with real maple syrup and butter. How about the Aloha Waffle with macadamia nuts, coconut, homemade mango pineapple sauce, and whipped cream? Café One salads are my favorite for lunch. The Café 1 Vegetable salad is enormous, as are all their salads: Prawn Salad, warm Rosie Chicken Salad, Caesar salad, and Greek Salad. The restaurant also offers a tremendous variety of sandwiches. If you're craving a taste of Mexico, try the large selection of authentic quesadillas. The prawn quesadilla is a local favorite. The desserts are excellent and come from the owner's kitchen. The menu changes daily. Be sure to check the chalkboard when you enter for specials and the desserts of the day. Enjoy!
Cute little breakfast place with diverse menu items and fresh, organic and healthy ingredients! Friendly staff that take pride in their food, and they even have home made hot sauce for use and for sale!
A cute, tasty café. The food was good, very organic and clean. Vegetarian options available. It has been in Fort Bragg for many years, a local staple. Local art for sale also.
Reconnected with a friend this morning who took me to breakfast. I asked for CafeOne as I hadn’t been there in a minute and was excited to review. This Northside gem has a relaxed down home feel almost as if your grandmother was cooking. It’s bright and the tables are far enough apart for you to have a conversation and there is some great local art on the wall. We were promptly greeted and given a green light to pick an empty table. They make an amazing Dirty Chai, hot and full of flavor. The breakfast burrito is giant even without meat and almost big enough for two. I chose the mushroom hash with a poached egg and couldn’t be happier. The flavor of it was surprising as the mix melted in your mouth, I will get it again. This organic establishment should be on your rotation for breakfast choices if you are a local and one to compete with any of the more well known spots in Fort Bragg.
Great breakfast spot. High quality food, friendly staff and a well kept dining area. *And* they do an amazing line of in-house hot sauces - the Chipotle Habanero was fantastic.
We make it a point to enjoy breakfast at least once at Cafe 1 during our stay in Fort Bragg. The food is freshly prepared and everything I've tried has been delicious. They've got delicious coffee and a nice selection of teas available. The menu items are reasonably priced and the service is prompt and friendly. Try one of their custom hot sauces. They are all tasty (good taste plus a little spice) and go great on your eggs and omelettes!
This place is a great find along our way to San Francisco. It’s vegetarian friendly and taste just like homemade food that’s fresh and healthy. Try the grilled polenta is out of the world! The rancheros and coffee is great too! They accept debit card or cash only.

Seemed to be a family run affair, with great service and great food! Great value for price, also.
Quaint restaurant on the main road. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The menu had a wide variety of dishes, mostly organic, and even Mexican dishes. The food was delicious. The restaurant was very clean. The prices were very reasonable. My husband and I will CERTAINLY be frequenting Cafe One on our next visit.
Pleasantly surprised how delicious and fresh the food is! You can tell someone cares about the food they’re serving. Real maple syrup, homemade jam etc… The coffee was “ok” but we’re coffee snobs. Service exceptional! Attentive and friendly! The cafe itself has some charming parts, it’s a little tired but it’s the kind of place that as they make money they’ll invest in remodeling slowly. Definitely a gem! We’ll be back
Excellent quality. Everything is organic, and you can taste the difference. The salsa and preserves are all made in-house and are outstanding as well. Very reasonably priced for the quality. Make sure to leave a good tip. Thanks for a great breakfast on Highway One!
Traveling through the area and we decided to eat breakfast here. I had the waffle with fresh berries and whipped cream with a latte. My husband had the cinnamon raisin french toast with an iced mocha latte. Everything was great! We both cleaned our plates and practically licked them clean! Our server, Jeff, was so nice and attentive while also working a huge rush and running around to every table. If ever back in the area we will be coming back.
We came here for breakfast and had a great experience. Amazing food! And great service. The server was super kind and same with all the folks working there. 10/10 would recommend!

Café One is a great place to stop for breakfast or lunch, with plenty of hearty options like pancakes, scrambles and burritos. They offer a large variety to choose from! I've been here a few times and it's always really delicious and satisfying; the staff are all very friendly and the service is always very quick. The food is a bit pricey compared to other similar restaurants, but all their dishes are very tasty, and I believe everything is organic which is great.
Visiting Fort Bragg from Southern Cal, always looking for local cafes for a meal, enjoyed breakfast at Cafe One, family owned Cynthia the daughter my server friendly and courteous, food good tasting 😋 enjoyed the chorizo and eggs with beans and corn tortillas, worth a visit if in the area.
Had breakfast her during our trip. First I'd like to add that the owner is a lovely lady very nice and attentive, food was good no complain, service was good. It an organic restaurant.

We ordered 2 turkey sausage omelets. I asked to have the onions changed out for spinach and was told that would be extra...seriously??? For spinach? We were served 2 turkey BACON omelets which had bell peppers instead of tomato. What if someone had food sensitivities?? No one bothered to check on us until we were finally able to catch someones eye 15 min later and they confirmed that yes indeed they were turkey bacon omelets. "I made a mistake" that was it, the only acknowledgement. She completely screwed up not one but 2 orders. There was no offer to somehow remedy the situation. The omelets had no flavor whatsoever and the service was abysmal until it came time to pay and then they showed up right quick. Do yourself a favor and try the much better breakfast cafes in town with good service and better food!
We've been told by locals that this place is a local favorite and better than Eggheads. We come here for breakfast on the last day of our annual trip. Gravy was served luke warm on all 3 plates that ordered. Turkey sausage was bland and lacked flavor. Poached egg was cooked hard. Mushroom hash was amazing.
Cafe One is a cute restaurant in Fort Bragg, with hearty meals like pancakes, eggs, and burritos. We stopped by here on the way to the skunk train, and found that the ambience is very nice. They were also selling their homemade jams, which we loved, and mexican outfits. The store definitely gave us good vibes. The service was very nice. As the restaurant is family owned since 2006, the people were very kindhearted and welcoming. And last, the food. Everything is organic, from the eggs to the veggies, which was one of the main reasons we stopped by. Also, most items can be made vegan if you would prefer that. We ordered the breakfast burrito, mushroom omelette, and buttered bagles. Breakfast burrito was top notch, having cheese, eggs, mushrooms, and more. But, the rest was just mediocre. Overall, this is an average restaurant. Tip: They only take cash or debit. No credit cards

Not so great . Over priced. Organic whatever ,not. Atmosphere leaves more to be desired. Bathroom dirty, and horrible location. I’d leave no stars if possible.. immediately got diarrhea
Terrible place. Dirty, the food is mediocre, and there’s only one restroom for the entire restaurant — always occupied. They charge an extra fee for card payments and don’t accept American Express at all. Definitely do not recommend.
