This was an absolute great find. We were on our way to a different Thai location, however since they were such a long wait, we decided to venture out and find a different spot. Kans kitchen was near by so we went to check it out. When we arrived, there were still plenty of parking and many tables available however, as a time passed, tables got full pretty quickly and they also had a few tables reserved. This restaurant had very authentic vibes with some updated decoration. For starters we had the moo ping (pork skewers) and the pork dumplings. Both were very flavorful and arrived quickly. For main I had the crispy duck with basil sauce and came with white rice. The duck was indeed crispy, flavorful and juicy. The basil sauce I had it mild and it was super flavorful and not too spicy. The pineapple fried rice had shrimp and chicken and was also very good. Now we couldn’t leave without trying the sticky mango rice for dessert which was really delicious as well. I would definitely recommend
I love GOOD Thai food and I always order Pad Thai. Kan's Thai Kitchen had EXCELLENT Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. The chef must have a high BTU and a narrowly focused flame because the wok hei was real and so real that the food stayed hot for so long. We ordered MILD for both and just as the server said, mild has some heat and it was so good. Good vibe. Good service (the chef brought the dish to our table). Excellent food. We were so happy leaving there. The next time we are in the area (or even passing by), we are there. I wish we had Thai food like this in Tallahassee.
Excellent Thai cuisine - featuring northern Thai specialties like Khao Soi (with chicken leg, roasted duck or chicken breast). The entire menu including desserts (including sliced mango with coconut cream and sticky rice) is authentically prepared providing a depth and richness of flavors. The service is friendly - everyone smiles! So far we have been able to walk in with parties between 4 and 5 without a reservation but understandably it does seem to fill up after 7 pm. The atmosphere is comfortable and offers a range of seating options. Parking is free and convenient, as the establishment shares a small strip center with a Sub-way and Dunkin on either side. Our new go-to Thai establishment in Fort Lauderdale! Highly recommend.
Went for lunch first time there got take away ordered three things. Food was perfect. Edamame could used a little more salt , crab Rangoon was spot on. A pineapple fried rice With chicken. Only took about 10 minutes. I was very satisfied in the moment. I walked in being greeted at the door being able to order quick and easy at the counter, the cleanliness of the place. And of the seating area.
Everything was absolutely delicious. We came for lunch and wanted to try the Khao Soi. It was super flavorful and kept getting better every bite. We ordered mild and it still had a nice spice to it! We also ordered the Satay appetizer and it went so well with the peanut sauce. Service was friendly and fast! Overall had a great experience and would recommend!!!
This was the best tasting Thai food I have ever had. I ordered Massaman Curry. We enjoyed our meal and it was not too loud for conversation.
5/5 experience. Stellar service and atmosphere. We got here at 11:30 and had the most lovely experience. The servers were kind and we had the spring rolls, papaya salad, pana g grouper, and pad Thai with chicken and tofu. All of these things fresh with hints of basil, the correct amount of heat and freshness. The hit was the fried banana cheesecake roll. Will be back. Definitely the culinary highlight of our trip so far.
Fantastic food, everything was incredibly delicious. Best green papaya salad I’ve ever had. Marcel was also a great server to have. We will for sure be back soon.
This was former Bayshore Thai. New ownership. I was a big fan of Bayshore. Kan’s has been open just one year and this was our first try. I got the red curry chicken and my partner got the tide basil sauce with chicken. After spending time in Thailand on vacation, I think I’m a bit of a connoisseur of Thai food and they delivered. The food was excellent. The flavors were spot on. The service was friendly and fast. In the restaurant is clean new and tastefully done. I will be coming back again and again. Do not hesitate to try this place.
Very clean and inviting atmosphere. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the service is always impressive. There’s a lot of competition but feel safe with your choice here
Great place, enjoyed the coconut soup (one of the best in have tried) the ka prow was very good also but still i believe there's room for improvement on this one, the soup was perfect!
What a Gem! We popped into *Kan’s Thai Kitchen* after work on Saturday on a friend’s glowing recommendation—and wow, they weren’t kidding! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel right at home. Super friendly, genuinely helpful, and more than happy to walk us through the menu (which, let’s be honest, we wanted to order in its entirety). After some thoughtful suggestions from our server, we kicked things off with the Larb chicken , beef jerky, and papaya salad. Let me just say—flavor city. Perfectly shareable portions, and each bite was a party for the taste buds. For mains, I went with the *Khao Soi*—a personal favorite and a total knockout here. One friend ordered the *Red curry*, the other went classic with the *Pad Thai*. Every dish was bursting with bold, rich flavors that had us passing plates around so no one missed out. We also tried one of their signature iced teas and a bottle of unfiltered sake—because why not go all in? At this point, we were full... but not full enough to skip dessert. Naturally, we ordered the **mango sticky rice**, because ending on a sweet note is just good manners. The decor is nice, elegant but cozy—and while the music was a bit on the mellow side for my taste, it quickly faded into the happy buzz of a busy room as the place filled up. All in all? 10/10 would recommend. Amazing food, warm vibes, and service that makes you want to come back before you’ve even left. Go check them out—you won’t be disappointed!
This place is great! The food here is top notch. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxing.
I just loved everything in this place !! from the “sit wherever u like”, to the service, to the amazing and huge portions and flavors of the Food, to the beautiful atmosphere (and chill music) - just all of it ! i’ll go back there and try every menu option !! oh and the sakes 😱👌 I was so happy they have all my fav Sakes !
The greatest Thai restaurant quite possibly in America. I go to a lot of restaurants in a lot of places, and I will say that this one is special in many different ways. We had many dishes, and every single dish brought out was incredible, along with probably the best level of service I've ever experienced in a restaurant that may not appear like a super high end restaurant, but the passion of the workers here is excellent.
Best authentic Thai food I've ever had. Tom yum soup and the papaya salad were my favourite.. will definitely be back

Absolutely incredible Thai food! Every dish was bursting with fresh, authentic flavors - perfectly balanced and packed with spice. The ingredients were top-notch, and the presentation was beautiful. Hands down one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to. They recently opened, moved from the beach area. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you!
This is one of the best Thai restaurants in Fort Lauderdale. I really enjoyed my curry with chicken medium spice. The dumplings were great as well. I love the decor and all the staff were super friendly. I got to meet the owner (Kan) who was super nice and welcoming. I highly recommend this place.
Service was top notch- people over there were very kind , the atmosphere inside was nice and inviting. The food was also great. Absolutely recommend this place.

Delicious and great service! Curries were flavorful, recommend the jerky appetizers, and don’t miss out on the amazing flavored iced teas. Many vegetarian offerings as well!
Great find!!!!!! Food is fantastic! Service was excellent even though it was New Year’s Eve and every table was full. We will be back!
We have eaten at Kan's twice and everything we've ordered has been delicious. I highly recommend!
Great taste, great place. A complimentry spring roll and they will hold the fish paste for me, thank you.
After reading all the amazing reviews we wanted to try this Thai restaurant. First the place is really tasteful, cool and relaxing. We loved the decor and ceiling straw basket collection lamp shades! We were greeted very warmly and given useful but not pushy recommendations. But we had come specifically for the Kai Soi Soup. And boy was it amazing!!!! The Pad Thai to was deli as well. We will be coming back again and again and again…come early as it seems to fill up easily.
Decided to give this place a try on a Sunday night when I was having a fried rice craving and it did not disappoint. The food was piping hot and delicious. The service was great, everyone came to check in on us more than once. The restaurant is clean and well decorated. I snagged a takeout menu for future me. I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys authentic Thai spices.
So glad we found Kan’s Thai Kitchen! I had the fried grouper green curry and it was absolutely amazing. Fresh, authentic flavors with quality and portions that far exceed the price. We started with the sushi, which was super fresh, and the fried tofu, which was light with a perfectly balanced sauce. The special iced tea and lemonade were refreshing and delicious. Our servers were hilarious, super attentive, and knew exactly when to check in without hovering. Everyone at our table loved their food, and we even left with enough leftovers for another meal, which is always a win. Kans Thai Kitchen delivers incredible food, warm service, and great value. We will definitely be back soon.
The staff was exceptional from the time that we called and they seated us as though we have been customers forever to the excellent recommendations for each of of in our party. All of the staff had wonderful personalities and went above and beyond to make sure that we had a great dining experience! This is a hidden gem that you shouldn’t miss out on!
We had an incredible dining experience at this amazing Thai restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious with authentic flavors and perfectly balanced spice levels. We especially loved the beef jerky appetizer and the chicken with vegetables in a ginger sauce. The portions were generous, and everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. The owner Kan provided fantastic service that was outstanding-friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The cozy atmosphere added to the charm, perfect for both a casual meal or a special night out. Highly recommend this place if you want authentic Thai cuisine with excellent service and reasonable prices. We will definitely be returning!
Kan’s Thai Kitchen is nothing short of a hidden gem. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The space is cozy yet vibrant, with thoughtful decor that reflects the heart of Thai culture. The food is where this place truly shines. Every dish is bursting with flavor and authenticity, you can tell the ingredients are fresh, and each plate is prepared with care. Whether it’s a classic Pad Thai, green curry, or something more adventurous, everything I’ve tried has been consistently delicious. The service is exceptional. The staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. They take time to make recommendations and ensure you have a great experience. If you're in the area and looking for something memorable, Kan’s Thai Kitchen is an absolute must. It’s the kind of place you want to tell your friends about, but also secretly hope it stays your little secret.
Must-visit for thai food lovers! We were looking for a thai restaurant in the area and discovered Kan's. From outside it may be difficult to spot but you really wouldn't want to miss it! We were greeted by very friendly staff including the owner of the restaurant. It's a small family business that took over the restaurant and are trying to bring it back to the front page of good thai restaurants in FLL. The owner is in the service and her mother in the kitchen (both from Thailand). They have a decent selection of traditional thai dishes as well as street-foods, so you will find dishes that may not be on the menu of other restaurants. From salads, to noodle-soups, thai curries, stir-fries dishes, there's something for everyone. We ordered: • Thai Dumpling • Thai Green Curry • Khao Soi Beef • Thai Milk Tea I won't go into detail of each single dish, but what I can tell you is that they were all outstanding. Rich in flavour, fresh, spicey, sour and not too fishy (as some westerners may not like it). All the flavours were there, just like I have tasted them on my time in Thailand. The owner told us, that they adapted the flavours slightly in order to cater for western tastes but I can assure you that everything tasted very good and was well balanced. For sure the most authentic thai cuisine I've had the pleasure to taste in Florida until now! The thai milk tea was refreshing and tasty, but very large, so you better order it "to go" so you don't waste it if you're full. The staff were all very friendly and helpful with the dish selection and took time to explain what the dishes were. Even the owner's mother came to look after us and ask if the food was good. Truly lovely people working here who deserve to be rewarded for their hard work. Overall, truly a must-visit if you are in the area and looking for authentic thai cuisine!
Kan’s Thai Kitchen is excellent. I’ve visited many times and tried a different dish each time; every one was excellent. The service is very good. An excellent dining experience.
We had the most wonderful dinner experience. The food was absolutely amazing. The service was phenomenal and the ambience was cozy and adorable. We ordered the shrimp pad Thai, Panang curry chicken and a DB roll and a spicy tuna roll. All were fantastic. Owner came to our table to check on us and was so friendly. We will definitely return!
Love this place. Is definitely authentic Thai food!! Tried my favorite dishes and all were great 😃 Too bad is not 🥭 season... I miss the mango sticky rice
I had an incredible experience at this Thai restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious — full of authentic flavors, perfectly balanced spices, and beautifully presented. The service was warm, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome from the moment we walked in. The ambiance was cozy yet elegant, with a relaxing atmosphere that made the whole meal even more enjoyable. Best of all, the prices were very reasonable for the quality you get. Highly recommend this spot if you’re craving amazing Thai food! AUU WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL 🙏🏻
This place is incredible, surprised it’s not at the Larb (2 hour wait level) yet. And I plan to take advantage while it last, def go it’s amazing
I felt like having Thai for my birthday and picked Kan's due to its location and reviews. We've never been there before, but definitely will be returning. The staff was very friendly and efficient.... filled up our water multiple times without ever having to ask. For appetizer, we had fried calamari and fried dumplings..... absolutely delicious. The calamari was my favorite, I could tell it was super fresh. My husband had the drunken noodles with chicken, I had the Panang curry with chicken and my friend had sweet & sour chicken. All of the dishes were superb. Next time, I want to have the drunken noodles. I can't wait to try several new dishes. The restaurant itself was very clean. I loved the decor and basket lamps. Overall, amazing restaurant!
A 100% surprise find. One of the best Thai food I’ve had, really authentic. Decent table settings, quiet atmosphere, amazing services. It was my birthday and we were the only customers there so the owners were so kind that gave us candle on ice cream and sang the birthday song for me, very heart warming ❤️ will def come again
Superb Thai food, authentically spicy. Had a soft shell crab papaya salad which was outstanding. Friendly, welcoming service. First time, and will certainly come again…
The pineapple fried rice was excellent. Came with shrimp & chicken as a protein. The peanut sauce was the best of best with flavor & taste. The Thai Tea is super good. The spring rolls really great with sweet chili sauce, super good. We really enjoyed the experience & the food. Great reviews, one of the best Thai food places around
Cute place with friendly staff and amazing food. We got the pad se-ew, massaman curry, papaya salad, and spring roles. Loved it all.
Best Thai food in Florida. Owners are so nice and the staff is amazing. I would give it 10 stars if I could.
What a hidden gem! This is the best Thai restaurant in Fort Lauderdale and possibly all of South Florida. It has such a going-over- to-your-family's-house sort of feel. I'm so glad I stumbled across this place!
One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve ever went to here in South Florida. True authentic flavors and very hospital staff. Please come here and try for yourself. You won’t regret!
Kan's Thai Kitchen: Flavor Explosion on Federal Highway! So, let me tell ya, Kan's Thai Kitchen just gave my taste buds a VIP tour of Flavortown! I'm still dreaming about their Pad Thai—a symphony of flavors that just dances on your tongue! That wonton soup was so good I'm kicking myself for not capturing its beauty. My wife, the tofu lover, was swooning over her vegetarian dish. Meanwhile, I was having a serious moment with my Pad Thai. From the decor to the service, Kan's is serving up good vibes and great food. Can't wait to come back for more flavor-packed adventures. 📍 Kan’s Thai Kitchen 📍 4838 N Federal Hwy, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308
I had a craving for Thai and Kan's came up in my Google search. It is a hidden gem in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The ambience and service was great. I ordered a Thai Basil and the flavor was amazing. I would definitely recommend for authentic Thai food.
From the moment we walked in the service was beyond great. The food was amazing! We will definitely be back.
We’ve tried Thai restaurants all over the world — including in Thailand — and this one is truly one of the best! The Chicken Pad Thai was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and with the right level of spice. The Chicken Curry was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh, and the service was friendly and warm. A fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be back!
Excellent Thai across from Holy Cross Hospital. Pad woon sen was great (hard to find!) and dumplings were delicious. Would recommend for dine in (multiple other diners eating) or take out!
I stopped by Kan’s Thai Kitchen on the 25th, and I have to say—it was amazing! The food is truly authentic, just like eating in Thailand. Every dish is full of rich flavors, perfectly balanced, and made with great care. The highlight for me was the Som Tum (Papaya Salad)—so fresh, spicy, tangy, and absolutely delicious! It tasted just like home, making me feel a little less homesick. If you’re in FLL and craving real Thai food, Kan’s Thai Kitchen is the place to go. Highly recommend!
Finally made it here after reading reviews from other people. I’ll start off by saying the dishes we ordered were all excellent and well-prepared. Ingredients were all authentic and flavorful. Might be one of the best place serving Khao Soi noodle which is an authentic dish from Northern Thailand. Drumstick was tender and the broth was tasty. Spacious with a modern decor twist. Place looks to be well-managed. I highly recommend giving Kan’s a try if you’re looking for Thai food and let’s help support local businesses.
It is so easy to see why this place has 5 stars. From the moment you walk in, the staff is so nice! The place is decorated beautifully, but the food…just wow. I wanted to go simple and try the pad thai and fried rice - absolutely delicious. My boyfriend said it was some of the best he’s ever had. Again, cannot say enough good things about the food and the service.
Came here on recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint - cute locally owned and family operated by Kan and her Mother Food is delicious - great portion sizes and reasonably priced - very attentive service and Flavors of every dish was fantastic! Tried the Pad Woon Sen, the Khao Soi Beef and the Massaman Curry - can’t wait to come back and try the Pad Thai and Papaya Salad
We went here for dinner. It is a small and tastefully decorated place. We ordered the Green Papaya Salad and it was excellent. I then had the noodle soup and my friend the shrimp fried rice. Both amazing. The service is very friendly and speedy. Very nice team and the chef/owner came out to greet everyone. A very inviting place with great food. Highly recommendable.
Best Thai food of my life. I have been to Thailand 8 times. That should say something. This was so fresh authentic and delicious. I cannot wait to come back. The waitress was also extremely lovely excellent service and fast. :)
We had an absolutely fantastic meal and experience at Kan’s last night. Food was amazing. Highly recommend the Khao Soi noodle soup. One of the best Thai dishes I’ve ever had. Service was great and Kan and her husband are absolutely lovely. Highly recommend eating here.
After a long day we just wanted some really good Thai food. Not in our area but was so worth the drive! The host and server were super friendly and attentive. We waited a bit for the food to come out because everything was made fresh to order. I ordered shrimp pad Thai and can honestly say it was the best pad Thai I've ever had. I'm usually manic about taking photos of food, but it was so good that i completely forgot. We are both looking forward to going back and trying everything on the menu! Five stars.
This family owned authentic Thai Restaurant is 10/10!! This is one of the best Thai places I’ve ever been to. We ordered green papaya salad with salted crab and fermented fish sauce, crab rangoon, pineapple fried rice with shrimp and chicken as well as brown sugar boba. The service and food was excellent. We felt like we were being transported to their home and being served delicious home cooked meals. We highly highly recommend this place. It’s the best thai restaurant in FLL in my opinion 🇹🇭 The search for a go to Thai place has ended.
Really good (as in flavorful) dishes . We were in a large party and I had the opportunity to sample a large variety of dishes and the quality was uniformly high. I would definitely consider eating here again.
Great place! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is attentive without being intrusive. The food is absolutely outstanding — truly authentic Thai cuisine full of flavor. The Tom Kha soup 🍜is a must-try: rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. Every bite tastes fresh and genuine. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for real Thai food done right!
The atmosphere was very elegant and service was extremely welcoming and timely. My family also enjoyed the food and being vegetarian, they made all of the proper accommodations. Overall, we would definitely come back here again!
Just had the best Thai food tonight! The papaya salad was fresh, crunchy, and bursting with flavour, seriously one of the best I’ve ever had. The rest of the food was just as amazing, and the staff were so kind and welcoming. Can’t wait to go back!
This is the BEST Thai food in town. Kan and her husband are so accommodating. The menu has everything from traditional Thai street food, to absolutely delicious gyoza and dumplings, this visit I had the red curry. Brilliantly spiced, served with a heaping side of rice. You can choose white, Jasmine, or brown rice... one in our party had the grouper. It was a masterpiece. Beautifully presented and perfectly prepared. Very fresh and flavorful. Two in our group had kitchen specials. Both were noodle dishes the chicken drum, and stewed beef noodle soup (think pho)... amazing. They serve beer and wine as well. The setting is calm and relaxing and the service is top notch. There are many choices for Thai cuisine in Ft Lauderdale. Kan's is above and beyond... the best!!!
What a delightful find! We have passed by SO many times on the way to work or elsewhere and never tried Kan's Thai Kitchen until today and we are so pleased we did! The food is out of this world delicious, the decor is beautiful and the owners and staff could not have been friendlier, such a wonderful place. Our new local go to! Thank you! We will be back very soon! :)
We’ve eaten at Thai restaurants all over the world, including in Thailand, and this was one of the best! Delicious food, perfect spice balance, and great service. My only suggestion would be to dim the lights a little at night to make it feel cozier.
We had a great time here. The restaurant has been open only 5 weeks and we hope they are successful. We ordered edamame, it was just right and not overly steamed, chicken satay, and Thai dumplings which they make in-house. They were excellent with plenty of pork filling, flavorful, crispy garlic topping, and a thin dough. The Panang curry with chicken was hot and perfectly spiced. We ordered it medium spicy and it had the right kick. My only criticism is that the curry tasted fishy as if it had too much fish sauce in it and not enough coconut milk and it was noticeable. We loved that they offered Voga a Pinot Grigio by the bottle as we haven’t seen it in restaurants before and it is one of our favorites. Service was excellent. They also offer vegetarian options and a full sushi menu.
I always enjoy trying new (to me) Thai restaurants, and I’ve gotta say, this place is amazing. Run by a husband-and-wife duo and their accommodating staff, it serves up delicious Thai fare as well as really tasty sushi. Their fried banana cheesecake roll with ice cream is the perfect way to end a delightful gastronomic experience.
Kan’s restaurant is more than just a Thai restaurant, it’s somewhere you can unwind and enjoy your meal. The family restaurant brings back what it once meant to be in-sync mentally, emotionally, and physically. Their energy and warmth exudes throughout their approach to their customers and their interaction and banter among themselves. If you’re looking for somewhere to enjoy delicious authentic Thai food, pleasant energy, this is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the culture and experience the journey through their awesome cuisines. The cohesiveness
We had such a wonderful dinner here tonight! Every dish came out fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From the crispy soft-shell crab papaya salad, to the refreshing yum woon sen, to the rich and comforting khao soi — everything was so good we cleaned every plate. The flavors were authentic, bold, and perfectly balanced. Even the dessert — the mango with sticky rice — was sweet, creamy, and the perfect ending to the meal. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was cozy, and the whole experience felt like a real taste of Thailand. We will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend this spot if you love Thai food done right! 🙌❤️🇹🇭
I almost never write reviews, but this was too good not to! I ordered takeout for lunch and it was absolutely delicious, ready quickly, and steaming hot. I was surprised when I walked inside by the ambience and calm, clean environment. I’m a sucker for thai iced coffee, and it did not disappoint. Will definitely be ordering again!
I’ve eaten at a lot of restaurants in this area and this restaurant is by far my favorite of them all. Every single dish was delicious. We tried the dumplings, pad thai, beef jerky, Khao Soi Chicken Drum, and the fried cheesecake with ice cream and I highly recommend all of these things! The owners are also super friendly and attentive. Very glad we tried this place, will absolutely be back.
Delicious authentic Thai food. Table of six. Several different dishes ordered. All were amazing! I am sensitive to very spicy foods and appreciated that they were able to accommodate my need without compromising flavor. It was so good that we ate there again in our 8 day stay in the area!

We had such a wonderful dinner here tonight! Every dish came out fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. 9/5/25-We stopped into this cute little place that has free parking. We were greeted when we walked in. We were then taken into a table with menus, and then he brought a sour water as well. They have a nice lunch menu. I had the wonton soup which was very good. Had bean sprouts in it. I like that and then I had the steam shu Mei . G had the pad Thai. It looked as a nice size. We were checked on a few times wound up who greeted us and served us was the owner and his wife is in the kitchen and she was out delivering dishes too. Its nice to see a small family business doing well
Discovered this Thai restaurant on our way to the Hard Rock.... Saw the high reviews so decided to check it out (vs waiting over an hour at Lan Larb down the street). Family operated, the food was very tasty... Although the pad krapow dish was a little lacking compared with other contemporary Thai places.... Only basil and minced chicken; was expecting a little more color.... Diced red and green bell peppers, some fresh chopped, white onion. Prices very fair, and service was quick and courteous. The vibe here is a bit more serene is not as frenetic as Lan Larb.... Would recommend.

You have to check out this adorable Thai restaurant! One dish you absolutely can’t miss is the Khoa Soy Gai—it's so delicious! And my all-time favorite has to be the grilled pork on a stick, especially when you pair it with some sticky rice. The service is always warm and welcoming; they really treat you like one of the family! Enjoy!
I tried this new Thai spot last night with a friend, and unfortunately, despite the rave reviews, it fell below expectations. Starting with the food: as a Northeast transplant, I’ve quickly learned that in South Florida, reviews alone aren’t always a reliable indicator of quality. The red curry was runny and lacked depth of flavor, especially when compared to a nearby Thai restaurant I’ve visited recently. The tom yum was more tom “meh” than tom yum, the broth just didn’t deliver the punch or complexity you’d expect. The Chiang Mai noodle dish was also lackluster overall. For context, I’m inevitably comparing this to the Thai place in Pompano that doesn’t take reservations, and consistently delivers. Service was fine. Nothing to complain about. The staff checked in on us a few times, and everyone was friendly and pleasant. That said, the Pompano spot feels more authentic, the staff there bows, which adds a thoughtful, cultural touch. Atmosphere-wise, no complaints. Comfortable and enjoyable. Pricing, however, is where things really start to feel off. The soups and curries are about twice the price of what Larb charges, and in my opinion, the quality doesn’t justify the premium. I’ve had excellent Thai food outside of Thailand, in San Francisco, Toronto, NYC, and right here nearby in Pompano. Flavor-wise, this place just misses the mark for me.
The thai food is excellent, best in the area, however,I have only ever ordered for delivery. When ordering delivery BUYER BEWARE...the online order system can have issues. Order eta was 30-60 minutes. After an hour and 20 mins I call the restaurant and find out the food was ready for pick up and no driver showed up. Revised eta for delivery 8:20 pm. So I got to pay full price for food that has been sitting around for 2 hours. Not cool!
Food and drink were not good. Orders incorrect. Restaurant had a mixture of different Asain foods. Not authentic Thai food. Can not recomend this resterant at all. Restaurant needs lots of improvements in food and drink quality. It would be nice if customers received what they ordered and paid for.
