We loved our visit here. Most of the staff was great. Our waitress that day seemed a little distracted and forgot about us a couple times, but the hostess was fine and so was the person working on the dessert side. We ate in reverse and stayed with dessert because we passed that side first. I don't think we realized that the food and the dessert were apart of the same restaurant. We sat outside and had a clear view of all the action on the strip. It made for a great evening. Oh, and the calamari is the best I've had in quite some time. Great pizza, raviolis were good. the restaurant is really nice and they have outside sitting which is nice for covid protection. The restaunt didnt have that many people on a saturday afternoon paid an avarage of $37 per person.
I loved how open the restaurant feels and we sat to the side with the curtains. It felt cozy. Alot of large parties so I would recommend a reservation. Everything was yummy from beginning to end. Absolutely recommend the almond crusted salmon. It was moist and had the most delicious flavor. For dessert, the tiramisu is definitely worth a try. First time here and I would return.
Honestly? It was our best dinning experience around south Florida. Finally we felt back the European atmosphere. The whole staff is amazing, mostly from Italy but we meet with one Serbian guy. Our waiter was Nicolas. We had two bottle of wine, the wine was amazing one Chianti Classico Riserva 2015 from Banfi and one Nevio Montepulciano from 2016. Both was on offer if is under 50 buck u can get for 50% each bottle. We had a rib eye steak, calamaris, octopus, bruschetta, pizzas. The pizza wasn’t traditional Italian, but was much better than the frozen American stuff 😂 we definitely come back here even if we are living 1 hour a way. Highly recommend from as!
Food was phenomenal. Service was great. Went here with 8 people. Had a bottle of wine (pinot grigio) and a few sodas as drinks. Started with the cheese and meat board, sopressata, Asiago, etc. Had prosciutto and melon, the melon was perfectly ripe and prosciutto high quality. Also had rice balls, also amazing as the sauce was perfect. For entrees, had the ribeye added roasted potatoes instead of arugula; the chicken parmesan; 3 of them had the shrimp fettuccine alfredo (the shrimp was colossal); and seafood pasta. We literally had every dessert 🍨 on the menu including the tiramisu, the profiteroles, the hazlenut dessert, chocolate mousse and the torta ricotta. The desserts were so good!
Found my favorite new spot! From outside the place looks like any regular restaurant in Las Olas but the inside is really impressive. There are several different lounges and places to dine in. Drinks and food are amazing, very authentic and delicious. I felt like I’m back to Italy. The atmosphere brought me back to Europe. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. My friend and I like to explore new places but after experience like this I don’t think I’ll be looking for and experimenting with new places.
Great authentic Italian food. Very pricey but you should expect that since its on Las Olas. Great place to have a bridal shower, birthday party or any kinda celebration. We had a ladies brunch here for my best friend's 40th birthday.
We’re visiting from about an hour south of here. There are A LOT of Italian restaurants on Las Olas! We walked all up and down Las Olas trying to decide where to eat. After looking over the menu I liked the options that Piazza Italia has. We arrived about 6:30 without reservations. We were sat immediately at a high top. I ordered a glass of the New Zealand Sauvignon blanc. It was really good! My husband ordered a Blue Moon on tap. They brought a basket of warm bread with butter, parmesan cheese, crushed red peppers, and marinara sauce. It was delicious! Be careful to not fill up on the bread. We ordered some calamari fritta for an appetizer. It was good. Not the best I’ve ever had. It was mostly tender, but some was a bit chewy. Still better than most places. For dinner I ordered the Tortellini truffle. It was very good! The truffle taste was very strong. After the bread and calamari I could only eat about half of it. My husband ordered the Spaghetti Bogleñese. That’s his “go to” dish. He said it was really good. The best in it was very lean. Not too heavy. He ate all of the pasta. There was still quite a bit of sauce leftover. We were too full to try dessert. I recommend this place, but I would like to try some of the other places on LO, so I don’t know if I would go back. Altogether dinner was about $95 before tip.
You have to come to this incredible new restaurant, you will not be disappointed. The staff is incredibly customer service focused, polite , and extremely knowledgeable about all their food offerings, wine pairing , etc. My wife and I stopped in for a cocktail during happy hour and ended up coming back for dinner the next night and were blown away. The chicken marsala is the best we have every had in our life, you must try it, This is a restaurant you will make a destination stop and plan to stay near when traveling so you can eat here again. They have an romantic outdoor seating area out back which feels like an Itialian courtyard, complete with lime trees . There is also an upscale seperate dining room, with a different menu , exposed rock walls and flowing white curtains that feels like you are in a 300 year old itialian village restaurant but with a modern take including the one off custom chandelier of hand blown glass. The main dining room has a video display covering the entire ceiling with changing views all night. Its incredible. You will not be disappointed at this restaurant in any way, including the price , it was very reasonable. Hats off to the ownwers and designers of this restaurant , it is as close a perfect restaurant that I have ever had the pleasure of dining in. Well done! Plan on coming back this weekend.
Back & easily one of my favorites in Florida!!! What an unbelievably awesome italian on Las Olas. Already blessed with Luigi’s; the food, the service, the fresh quality homemade ingredients. Delightful!!! Coming back for sure! Back, kinda casual, food still excellent
I highly recommend the Piazza Italia. We came at the suggestion of someone who mentioned the ceiling had stars and it was true. The atmosphere is very nice and is great for a date. We were served by Mauro and he was amazing! He was always attentive of when we needed drink refills or additional plates. The food was delicious and the calamari was the best calamari I’ve ever had. Will be coming back again. If your server is Mauro, you will think he’s psychic with how he knows exactly when to appear. Never had a server as attentive. Not sure if the others are as good but if they are, you will have a great time. Oh, and the live music is so good.
Incredible location with incredible food with and incredible ambience!! Parking was quite simple and available right behind the restaurant (which is great, especially in that area) Everything about our dining experience was perfect We made dinner reservations (although not needed) and when we arrived everything was ready to go !! We were seated and drinking in no time 🤣 Located in downtown los olas in Fort Lauderdale with a little bit of everything for everyone! You can sit inside in the ac where the roof is lit up above you or go outside and walk into a vineyard inspired back patio with privacy !! The food was exquisite from the appetizers to the dessert. We even had or waiter pick out the bottle of wine for us which was perfect. It has a total family feel to it despite it being a large restaurant and I will definitely be coming back with whoever and whenever !! True jewel in the Fort Lauderdale A definite must go
Awesome food, great atmosphere, & excellent service! Lobster ravioli & margherita pizza, & bruschetta were delicious! My family also had 3 servings of bread w/ our meal. Our glasses were never empty & service was quick, well done Reinier! Tiramisu & strawberry gelato were great finishers!
This place is really awesome! Me and my boyfriend came to have our Anniversary Dinner, the food was amazing. Mauro, our server was really helpful and really great in getting our food ready! We recommend this place for anyone who wants to go out for a birthday, anniversary, etc!!
This is truly an Excellent Bar~Piano/Restaurant for a night out or for dinner. Patrick, our waiter, recited the specials and recommended his favorite. We woke up this morning excited to go back on Friday. The owner, Frank, was most welcoming and how he made sure everyone either sitting at the bar or at a table were enjoying themselves. I'm having a difficult time deciding on what's better, dinner or the service~ BOTH ARE JUST AMAZING~ A MUST GO!!!!!
Best Italian I’ve had in a long time. Went for their Saturday all-u-can-eat bottomless champagne brunch. Was amazing! Pasta is rolled and made in front of you and taken to the back to be cooked. Bread and cheese was also delicious. They put a bottle of champagne on our table Never wanted for anything. Our server, Patrick, kept us eating and drinking for 2 hours. Thanks Patrick! Highly recommend this place. Please keep them in business so we can go back next time we’re in town.
Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! My friends and I sat in the hidden gem in the back they call their“vineyard”. It’s such a cozy and beautiful area. Every dish we had was made perfect. I’m a finicky eater and every plate was delicious. The food reminded me of the food we ate while my husband and I were in Italy. Our waiters Julian and Mirko were so pleasant and always smiling. The whole staff made us feel welcomed, what a great time!!
Tranquil Escape Amidst the Spring Break Frenzy and a Taste of Italy at Piazza Italia. Amidst the chaos of a bustling Saturday night on Los Olas Blvd, a group of six close friends found ourselves seeking refuge from the spring break madness. As we strolled through the crowded streets, we stumbled upon a gem hidden in plain sight – Piazza Italia. Stepping inside, we were greeted by a beautifully decorated, quiet oasis. It was a stark contrast to the cacophony of chatter echoing through the streets. Our waiter, Mauro, welcomed us warmly, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening. The food was exquisite, the drinks impeccable. Mauro's attentive service made our "Italian Dinner Night" truly special. We highly recommend this place and can't wait to return. Thank you, Mauro, for whisking us away to the enchanting shores of Italy, if only for a night. 🇮🇹
Loved the food, they have projectors on the ceiling featuring different arts and if you celebrate a birthday it will say happy birthday and fireworks and I see him which is pretty cool. The servers are friendly and funny. You get a lot of food and also when ordering food I recommend the red sauce not the white.
Kristina and security staff made our night. After dinner someplace else, my wife wanted to celebrate her birthday with drinks here. We asked if we could get a table even though we only wanted drinks, Kristina welcomed us. I thanked her saying it was my wife's birthday and I appreciated her allowing us to sit and just drink. Sure enough, she brings out a happy birthday dessert and has the DJ mention her name with a sign on the digital ceiling. What turned into a few drinks lasted a few hours all because of Kristina. Our group of 9 was dancing and enjoying a night out like we haven't had in years. Kristina made our night and I cannot thank her enough. Our group closed out our check but kept deciding to stay longer, Kristina made us feel welcomed and the party was awesome. Additionally, the security staff was impeccable. I witnessed them break up a small argument, welcome guests with an inviting persona, and really made us feel the place was safe. I cant remember the last time I noticed a security team do such a good job, even asked a guy to leave who was taking photos of patrons. Overall, we will be back for dinner after the exceptional experience delivered by Kristina and the security staff. A huge thank you to you all.
I had a great time here and the food was great! I took a star off for service just because half of the time we couldn't tell if our server was being sarcastic/funny or if he was serious with an attitude. After dinner , I enjoyed dancing. The DJ was great.
Had our daughter's birthday party at the restaurant on Saturday night and it was fabulous. It felt like we were sitting in our living room with family all around us....they couldn't do enough to make us happy and comfortable. The food was delicious, service was outstanding. Our server Tony was out of this world - fantastic - and the party host Jillian was - terrific - not a detail was missed. We'll be going back for many meals!!! Thank you for an amazing evening.
Me and my family came here on a busy Friday night and we were so happy to get a table even though they were full of reservations. Carla the hostess accommodated us to a great table in the main piazza room and all the servers were ready to serve us drinks and food within seconds. Kristina greeted us with a friendly smile and out of this world service. Bread and meatballs were put on our table within minutes and when the pasta dishes hit the table, it took our experience here to the next level. Amazing atmosphere, music, authentic food, and service. I recommend this place to locals and tourists of ft Lauderdale. Me and my family love Piazza Italia!
Amazing place!!! The ceiling is incredible and provided such a unique experience. The food was beyond delicious. I had the Salmon with truffle, the flavors blended so well. Most importantly, the staff was so pleasant and friendly they really made the night special.
Informative and welcoming staff. Perfectly orchestrated service. Beautiful venue. Food was absolutely delicious. There are so many wonderful options in Las Olas and I am glad we chose to come here in invitation. I came for my Friend Rafael birthday and he would always recommend this place to us and we thought it was over hype but it stood out in comparison to all other restaurants on the strip . You must come see the LED presentation. This place would make you feel as if your in Vegas
Great atmosphere! Awesome food! The place is so well designed and has a really cool virtual reality ceiling! Best Italian food I found in Florida, coming from New York it’s hard to find. This was the most lively spot on Las Olas Blvd, it made our vacation! Owner was very welcoming and a great host.
We happen to be walking by and Antonella offered us 2 free drinks cards and assured us the food would be excellent. I am Italian and born in NJ so i know good Italian food. I ordered chicken parmigiana and it was absolutely delicious! It was the largest portion i have EVER had and the sauce was AMAZING!! My husband was also so pleased with his meal. Highly, highly recommend!!!! Staff was also amazing!
We had a wonderful dinner experience. We are from Fort Lauderdale and this was our first time here. My Aunt had come for lunch and said it was delicious and she just loved the atmosphere. Our meals were delicious, everything homemade and the desserts were to die for. We had five of us and ordered five different ones. All homemade. Truly delicious. We will definitely bring our company here. The restaurant is just beautiful and our service was just perfect.
Best experience we’ve EVER had at any restaurant I’ve been to in my Life! Tommy gave us the Best customer sever experience with his spunky cool personality & felt like being at home! We left happy and a full belly thanks to Tommy! He definitely made it feel like family & we will be back again soon!!!!!!!!!! Not to mention very handsome! Thanks again
A few evenings ago, I ate at Piazza Italia where I had THE best risotto ever. My husband had the lamb chops and they were excellent. Fantastic, attentive service, wonderful wine, and great music make Piazza Italia an amazing choice for a meal. Las Olas is pumping with energy and this establishment fits the vibe perfectly.
My wife and I have been several times. Each time we’ve tried different items on the menu from drinks to food. We have not been disappointed. The food is amazing. My wife is from a neighboring region in Italy. The sauce tastes just like her mom’s. The bread is excellent, just like you would get in Italy. The staff is great and very friendly and fun. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.
Danny made our evening. I asked about wine and he asked what we liked then he brought a bottle from off the menu and it was fantastic !! He paid a lot of attention to our needs with a smile and good conversation even though we could see he was very busy. We noticed other tables with Danny and they had a good experience too. The food was great, this is out 3rd visit but first time with this server. When we go back we will definately ask for him.
My team and I had a holiday lunch at Piazza Italia today and had a wonderful experience. The restaurant is beautiful. All spaces have a different energy but all are equally impressive. We had the Venetian Room for our group with Anthony and Dominic taking care of us. Their service was impeccable! The food was amazing! Everyone was happy and had a great time. Thank you Piazza Italia for a memorable afternoon!
Every time I go to Piazza it’s an exceptional time. The staff members always present and the food is amazing. It’s been one of my favorite places for a year. The highlight is Rey! He always takes care of us no mater the size of the party. Lately I’ve been bringing all my friends and business clients and they love the atmosphere and the food. I’m a patron at this point!
Excellent place! The new kid in town and rockstar of the block! Excellent choice of food and beer. From 10:30 am to 4:00 pm is bottomless mimosas and $3.00 Peroni. The ambience is superb, makes you feel like if you are in a restaurant located at the heart of Milan! The decorations on the roof, marvelous! And the chocolate gelato, the best I’ve had in the US. All of the food are made in house! Great place to celebrate your birthday, anniversary and even better your first date! Yo won’t be disappointed!
The atmosphere here is awesome. Great staff and service. Drinks were made perfect and served promptly! We had very good pizza for our group. Once guests were finished with dinner they moved tables from the dance floor & the dancing began! Such a fun night with our group of friends! Plenty of parking in the back. Including handicap.
I have been to this location several times, and I do not have a single con. The food and atmosphere are AMAZING. The DJ plays a good variety of music for everyone to enjoy. The Limoncello Spritz is my favorite cocktail. Nothing but perfect consistency on food, service and drinks every time I come. The manager Michael is great at communicating with his patrons, and working to accommodate everyone. Very excited to return soon!
This was only my second time here, but both times really had a great time! We just had some apps (truffle fries and grilled octopus) and it was very good. We sat at the bar, and all the bartenders were super nice and attentive. The atmosphere is really cool. The DJ didn't miss a beat. I personally thought the music was really good. The dance floor was packed after about 11. It seemed everyone was having a great time. This place is definitely worth your time and money!
An absolutely amazing venue with more than adequate wait staff and bartenders. The food is extremely good and arrives at the table within a reasonable time frame. I have dined here many times and have yet to be disappointed. Kristina is one of the best severs in the South Florida area and has always provided exceptional service to me and my guests. I highly recommend this restaurant to both families and singles looking for great food, excellent service in a beautifully designed restaurant.
We had such an amazing rehearsal dinner here last week. Everything was perfect! The communication with Michael the manager was tops from the time I called to set it up to the night of the event. He was always responsive with all my questions. Everyone was raving over the appetizers, the dinner and deserts! The wait staff was on point the entire evening and we never waited on anything. They were extremely professional and polite. They were very quick with cocktails as well. We had 36 people at the event and everyone was so impressed. I want to thank everyone who helped make this a memorable evening for us, especially Michael for all his help! I highly recommend this restaurant, the food and service are top notch!
Outstanding! Had a wonderful experience! We are Italian from Abruzzo and Veneto regions, love the food!! The sugo (sauce) is outstanding!!! We made reservations and had no idea we were going on ladies night with complimentary prosecco and a DJ. We planned to go elsewhere after dinner but stayed to dance the night away!! What fun!!! The pasta e fagioli soup was a meal, outstanding with orecchiette pasta. The panini just like Italia and pasta perfect!!! We look forward to coming again!! Grazie di tutto!!! Profiteroles Delish!!!
Don’t let the the old neighborhood Mango’s spot fool you, this new gem has been completely gutted and remodeled into a scene y’all must see! Not only is it absolutely gorgeous inside with an INDOOR LED FIREWORKS roof display (something I’ve never seen in my life), but this place has got authentic Italian family recipes to boot! I wandered in with another friend on a Friday night, and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and an incredible aroma. The restaurant was filling up quickly, but we managed to snag a table. This place is divided into 3 sections (casual dining, fine dining, and Italian dishes/salads and coffee TO-GO). We ordered the Margarita Americano, the Gnocchi, and the Broccoli Insalate to share. We also asked the waiter for two glasses of the House Cab which was perfect, I did notice on my quick tour of this new place an entire huge wine cellar in one of the rooms! When our pizza arrived, our expectations continued to be exceeded. The crust was crisp on the outside, flavorful, and chewy. The tomatoes must be imported from Italy or something because they sure don’t taste like the ones I buy! The gnocchi melted in my mouth, and the broccoli salad was delicious with a tangy dressing. By the end of the meal we were planning our next visit... I’m just not sure if the next time we will be as lucky to snag a prime spot on a Friday night!
If you're looking for amazing genuine Italian food, cooked by Italian chefs, this is the place for you. Service was impeccable and attentive (thanks Mauro!!) and the food was out of this world! The salomon was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. My wife loved the limenchello martini and the music was just right! We sat outside with a great view of hopping Las Olas. It felt like we were on vacation. Highly recommended!!
We were sharing with my family and MAURO was the one who attended our table. I want to highlight the great service, he is a friendly, friendly and very professional person.
Everything about this place is amazing! The food is worth the price, cocktails and wine are delicious. Live music added a textured touch. My most favorite was the LED ceiling which is in the main dining room. It changed moods throughout our dining experience. I took one star away because I wasn't a fan where we were seated. We were excited because it was right by the piano but we didnt realize we were so close to a dancing space. Not even sure if this place has a designated dance space but people were within our personal space. Besides that, I definitely see myself coming here again! This place is our new date night location.
Really enjoyed myself, Pizza was really good . We also had drinks too and our hostess was great . The DJ played a good mix of music and the decor on the roof was beautiful.
So, I feel like their menu is quite limited and very small portions however, the food is really good. The ambience was amazing, the drinks are good. It’s a little over priced for the same items you can get somewhere else for a lower price at the location. I feel like the ravioli were very good but very small. The meatballs were really good and filling. The sandwich was like super expensive for a piece of bread and cheese so don’t order that. Take nice pictures in the patio.
Food was outstanding. The server just didn't want to help with any questions about the food. She either didn't know anything or didn't want to be there. Luckily the manager Mike was great and helped us navigate the menu with our kids allergies.
I liked this place for the music, even if they have only classic drinks. I ordered a Mojito, the only cocktail they have I like, and they couldn't prepare because they finished the mint. How that is possible on Saturday night? Plus ...we are in South Florida everywhere you should be able to drink Dayquiri,Pina Colada etc.... I finished to drink a Sangria. Was good but not was I was looking for. Please introduce Frozen drinks and your place would jump up!
An italian restaurant in Las Olas Blvd with a very italian atmosphere that transforms into a kind of a night club late at night, so make sure to choose a table in the separate salon or next to the music, according to your taste. The food was just ok. The gnocchis were nice but the sauce was runny and a big nest of arugula was placed on the top. It lacked finesse. The rissotto was just ok. The prices are similat to other restaurants in the area. Our server was excellent.
Marco our waiter was amazing. Fun personality. We had a dish with green beans, potatoes, onions in olive oil with garlic, it was delicious. Entree was the branzino fish it was exceptional. Music was good but Thursday night was freaking awesome. Ambience was ok. Toilets were dirty and one was just a huge mess. Cheer up floor manager.
Customer service: 5 Location: 5 Food: 2 Drinks: 4 Cleanliness: 4 Our waitress Addely was amazing! Super sweet, attentive and quick. My boyfriend took our son to the rest room and she brought out an extra plate to put over his food so it would be so cold. I feel like she went the extra mile. The presentation of the food was nice but it lacked flavor. The shrimp Alfredo tasted like only heavy cream & the tortellini truffle tasted a little better but I assume it was because of all the Parmesan shavings & arugula. We didn’t try the pizza but my son kept chewing & spitting it out so I assume he didn’t like it. The drinks were good.
If you look at my reviews, there are many places that get 5 stars. Most Restaurants/Bars have good food or good drinks. In this place, that was not the case. We were a big group and ordered different items from the menu. One of my friends sed, it is hard to go wrong with pizza after eating some of it and did not finish the food . We ordered mixed drinks and ended up ordering beer and water for our next drinks. On the other hand, the music was good and the beer was cold. Would I return to this place, probably not.
The restaurant is beautiful! The staff is friendly but service slow lacking attention to costumer service! The food is ok. Nothing special. We ordered the calamari which was super salty. Our waiter brought another order of the calamari and it was chewy and fishy. I ordered a pasta with sausage that I did not care for at all. The flavors were not there, the pasta tasted like uncooked dough and the dish was floating on a broth that tasted like nothing. My friend had a chicken pesto sandwich and it was good! It’s a pity but I will not go back. There is a lot of great Italian restaurants on Las Olas and they have an opportunity to impress the costumer that goes there for the 1st time. They didn’t do it for me! The place is worth trying any way. I hope they improve their food!
FOOD Flavor: 3 Presentation: 3 Price: 3 Quality: 2 Temperature: 2 BEVERAGE Flavor: 2 Presentation: 3 Price: 3 Quality: 2 CUSTOMER SERVICE: Friendliness: 4 Speed of Service: 3 ENVIRONMENT Ambiance: 3 Cleanliness of Dining Area: 3 Cleanliness of Kitchen Area: Unknown Cleanliness of Restrooms: 1 Location: 4 Parking: 3 Overall, food was fine. Big mess in the bathrooms the night I visited — one was closed, the other was flooded. I hope they get it worked out.
Really a 3.4** Came here for a quick bite because I really wanted their gnocchi. I tried it once at a food and wine festival that they were apart of and it was amazing. My partner and I sat at the bar because we knew the service would be faster and drinks would come faster lol. For a drink I ordered mount gay rum with lime juice and agave, my partner had a Carona. For our meals with both had the filet sea bass, I sub out my veggies for the gnocchi. My food was great! I did add a little salt and pepper for my taste I felt like it needed a little more. I also added fresh parm to my gnocchi. I tried some of my partners spinach and it was drowned in salt, he didn’t eat the rest because it was so salty. The rest of the veggies weren’t as salty but it still was salty. Another downfall is that we had to ask for bread, this is an Italian restaurant there’s always bread so why did we have to ask. Just as I was going to ask for another drink, another bartender asked if I wanted a free glass of Prosecco for ladies night! So ladies come in Wednesday from 9-10 for free Prosecco or 50% of any other drink you order. Overall I had an okay experience and I’d be willing to give it another try to see if I can give a better rating.
Es un bar restaurante con un amplio salón , Muy Comodo , la atención es buena pero hay que ir con tiempo porque tardan en hacerlo . Solo tome café y probé el tartino de ricota , estaba bien pero con poco sabor , solo pasable .
Decent bar food, the calzone appetizer was pretty good but nothing fantastic. Also the plastic sauce cups are a little weird considering the price to eat here. There are a ton of other great places to eat around here for a similar price, probably wouldn’t dine again.
We ordered food at 8 but we didn't receive our meals or appetizers until 10. Every dish came out at different times and half of them were cold. It was also surprising to me that an Italian restaurant was out of chicken parm. Overall, our waitress was really sweet and the atmosphere was incredibly pretty. I just don't think we'll be going back anytime soon.
Waitress was not happy to serve our large group. Had an attitude. She never took orders the first time with food NOR drinks. Food came without seasoning (pasta). Lobster was overcooked (waffle topped with lobster). Alfredo sauce was as thin as water. There was ZERO cheese or substance. Thank God for the bartender that made amazing drinks and for our great company. Never again (for food).
We sat down and 4/9 of our plates were unwashed. Like food on them. We asked for some new ones but they were even worse so i genuinely ate the appetizers off the plate. Our waiter didn’t even show up to ask what we wanted for 30 minutes after we sat down. Our server brought our buratta. We ate it plain just the cheese and greens. Then 10 minutes later brought out the bread like are u serious u could’ve told us it was coming hello? Dinners not even out yet so wish us luck xoxo. Also the ceiling is so chaotic and childlike thought this was a nice italian resturaunt.
The 6 of us came out on a sat night for dinner. The ambiance was great- good music, dancing, club vibe. The service was TERRIBLE. It felt like it was our waitress, Mariahs, first day. Zero customer service- barely came by to take our orders, messed up our orders when we did, told us the mishaps on the bill was our problem, added items to the bill that weren’t received. We realized she DGAF because they already added a mandatory 20% tip to our bill. Good because if tips were actually based on service like they intended to be this place would get 0% for their customer service. The food sucked and was expensive. I got a bland fettuccine Alfredo ($22) and added chicken ($8). We’ll be coming back for the drinks and the vibe only. Eat dinner elsewhere.
Extremely disappointed! Thank you Mariah, you service was topnotch, but the food left a lot to be desired. Something to be said about a restaurant being completely empty at 6pm on a Friday afternoon. Once we walked in we found more than a handful of servers, bartenders and the hostess; however, we felt ignored. When we asked for a table, someone had to go look to see which table was available. Mind you, the establishment was empty 😂 Although they have a full bar, bartender didn’t have lychee martinis nor spicy margaritas (he claimed they ran out of jalapeños). Opted to get strawberry martinis which I can honestly say I had better. Food presentation was okay, unfortunately the food had no taste whatsoever. The vegetables that accompanied our dishes tasted as if they had been microwaved from a frozen package. We tried ordering a sea food pasta with pink sauce, but the chef wouldn’t accommodate our request. Only white or red. We also ordered a Calzone, again tasteless! No surprise there! I gotta say the restaurant decor is really nice, but the mural in the ceiling takes away the real color of the food. Everything looks like Oompa Loompa. Should have known better, to be done with the appetizers and just get up, pay and leave. Sorry, but this not an authentic Italian restaurant. Overpriced menu with no flavor. I really expected better!!
I really dont diss very often but this was Terrible. Calamari breading was soggy. After waiting way too long for my entree, Sea bass was overcooked while the accompanying vegetables were actually still frozen. WTF. The overhead lights I was so looking forward to were more distracting than breathtaking.
Interior of this restaurant, decoration, and ceilings is beyond phenomenal! I cant describe with pictures how beatiful it was! And that’s the 2 stars I gave for this review. So the reason I dropped 3 stars was food! It was really bad :( so tasteless ! Too bad such beatiful restaurant have a really below average food.
update: We sat down and was very hungry! We started ordering our food and the server comes back and says they ran out of dough, mozzarella, and bread. How do you run out of pizza, mozzarella, and bread? You're an Italian restaurant. I wish they told us before we ordered drinks. We paid our bill and left starving. Thankfully, El Camino doesn't run out of tortillas and tacos. old review: We usually come here once a month! Always great food and service. They were very accommodating to my wife who is pregnant, found a comfier chair for her. We really enjoy the vibes and outdoor seating area.
All the other restaurants on Las Olas were super busy. This restaurant was empty and that should have been our first clue. This place was truly the worst Italian restaurant I've ever been in in my life. I have no clue how this place can have a review in the fours. The food was not good at all. My chicken piccata, had no sear on it whatsoever which means the pan was too low and instead of frying it was actually boiled in its own juices and tasted like it. My daughter doesn't like a lot of sauce on her tortellinis and ask for it on the side and the chef refused to do that. The eggplant came out late because we were told it was freshly made but when it came out it was cold. In fact all the food was on the cold side. They have a whole section of paninis on the menu but when we order two of them we were told they didn't have any panini bread. Even the glass of water smelled like it came out of a fish tank. The only bright spot was that our waitress was super nice. Stay away from this place.
My recent visit to Piazza Italia was not only disappointing but also disturbing. The primary letdown was the service. Our waiter was hardly present, making it a struggle to get basic service like refills or placing our order. What compounded the issue was the automatic 20% service charge added to our bill. Given the poor service, I questioned this charge, only to be met with hostility. The waiter not only confronted me but also raised his voice in protest, displaying a complete lack of professionalism. The situation escalated when, after speaking to the manager about the issue, the same waiter confronted and yelled at me again for having lodged a complaint. This kind of aggressive behavior is unacceptable in any service industry. To add to the disappointment, the food was average at best, failing to lift the overall dismal experience. When dining out, one expects a combination of good food and service. Unfortunately, Piazza Italia failed to deliver on both fronts. It's a place I cannot recommend, and one I will certainly not be revisiting. The disregard for customer satisfaction and basic service standards was startling and completely marred our dining experience.
Food and service were awful. We had ask the waiter to take our food order he brought us drinks and disappeared. I ordered a crusted salmon that came smothered in syrup so sweet you couldn't taste the fish. My husband ordered a chicken with marinara and cheese sauce and the chicken was chewy. The restaurant keeps the door open so th humidity comes inside. Now we understand why the place was empty in comparison with the rest of the strip in Las Olas. Will NOT recommend.this place. Definitely not authentic Italian.
