Service was a plus. They offered a variety of things. Staff was friendly. Offering a variety of non carbonated drinks. Cash only establishment. Your order will be taken. You will receive a page When your order is done and ready to pick up at the window. I got the hamburger and onion rings. Everything was on point. I thought the portion size was small BUT........ That was a lie! It was more than I bargained for. Very reasonable prices. Clean establishment. Grounds are kept clean. They definitely get the thumbs up. Be sure to like and share, and follow.

I just moved to the DFW area a month ago, i have been all over trying to find good food! No matter what it was it would not have the taste of SOUL in it. I got a double bacon cheese burger and it was everything I wanted in a burger. Meaty, flavorful, and filling. I will definitely be back when in the area. Wish they had indoor seating since I live 20min out, but on a less hot day they have outdoor seating.

I will be going out of my way to eat here again! Was in FW for work and needed lunch. Googled "hamburger" and saw H&J was nearby and well rated. Honestly when I pulled up I thought it was closed, and while waiting in the heat of summer for my food I was nervous if it would be worth it. I opened the box and was pleasently surprised to see THIS. Toasty bun. Seasoned fries. Bright green lettuce and ruby red tomato?! It sounds small... but when the toppings are this high quality and fresh, the effort goes a long way. Just look at the number of pickles! That would be "extra extra" at a regular fast food place. The burger was thin and well seasoned. Yum!

I’m thinking of getting their burger soon when I saw lots of people mention their burgers 🍔 it looks good with fresh veggies and bigger than the average burger like McDonald’s burgers aren’t bigger so I would give up McDonald’s burgers for this place!! They get pretty busy around lunchtime so I recommend calling ahead to order to get the foods faster! ☺️

This place is wonderful, service, the food and the sauce. I’ve been to this place several times, back to back. Today, I got an order of onions rings with my shrimp meal. Wow, they very wonderful as well. I’ve not tasted one thing from there that I didn’t like. The shrimp was battered and cooked to perfection. Fries crispy and seasoned well. The service was good — they were a bit busy, so we did have about a 10-minute wait, but that’s honestly expected when the food hitting like that. And the burger? Worth every single minute. I’ve been looking for a burger like this since I was a kid. It reminded me of this spot in Oak Cliff where I used to get burgers when I was about 6 or 7. I haven’t found one that tastes like that since I moved… until now. It was nostalgic in the best way. I also tried a piece of fish just for the hell of it. I don’t even like cornmeal fish like that, but this was easily top 3 fish I’ve ever had. Crispy, seasoned right, not greasy. I was shocked in a good way. I’m pregnant, so my taste buds have been VERY specific and picky lately. When I say this place checked every single box? It CHECKED THEM. Cravings satisfied immediately. And to top it all off… it’s AFFORDABLE. Definitely coming back. 💛

1st time here. Used the drive through. Was handed a beeper to park and wait; which signified potential opportunity for a quality burger… I wanted a burger 🍔 and ordered the double meat burger with cheese, jalapeño, bacon, and vegetables plus with the combo came a drink and fries. The fries were ok but nothing to write home about… but the burger was absolutely delicious and I definitely would recommend the burger… they have a lot more on the menu but I can’t speak to that… I’d definitely come back for that burger though. To improve the experience I’d like an option for super clean RO reverse osmosis water and RO ice as an optional drink. Not tap water or subpar filtered water. Also to improve I’d want a real fresh lemonade option made with only real lemons, and Organic Cane Sugar… Also to improve ditch the fries unless willing to make a solid fresh and seasoned fry option.

Had an amazing bacon jalapeño cheeseburger on a grilled bun. Everything was right on. The flavor was outstanding. For dessert had their tasty poundcake. This is a must stop if you’re in the area. I’ve been to H&J a couple times now and my experience each time has been great. The customer service is on point and the food is delicious and made in a timely manner. I had a double cheese hamburger with bacon and cheese and it was delicious. A good idea is to combine the kool-aid and lemonade. This is a cash only spot so go prepared. They also take cash app or Apple Pay for this who use that.

Food was ok. Could use more seasoning. My burger had everything on it but no seasoning. My husband's wings were the same. Needs seasoning. The young lady who took our order was very pleasant & the young man who came out to bring in the wash station was pleasant as well. The wash station didn't have water, but then too, it was the end of the day, so we didn't hold it against them

Be careful who you hire to work your business because they don’t care about ruining your business it’s not their business . She should not be working with the public it’s clear she doesn’t like her job or people. If your business starts to slow down just know she’s the reason. This is really said people like her work around someone’s food after my encounter with her I didn’t eat the food or drink the drink 17.00 down the drain the phone number on the site is out of order.

I got a great burger 🍔 1day and came back for the catfish plate the next 😋 both were hella good👍🏾 But the catfish plate didn't come with a drink. Oh be sure to order ahead there's a bit of wait time if your on an hour lunch

Don't believe the prices you find online. We were VERY surprised when we got there and the prices were much higher then what we swa online. The burgers are good, a little dry for my liking. You don't get many fries in the combo. This is a recent photo of the menu board.

The burgers here were very salty — at least the ones we had. Not sure if it was just an off day or if they’re always seasoned that heavily, but it really overpowered the flavor. It’s an outdoor burger joint located in a rougher part of town, so I went in with modest expectations. That said, the woman at the counter was incredibly respectful and friendly — easily the highlight of the visit. Her attitude made the place feel a lot more welcoming, and honestly, she’s the reason I’d even think about coming back to give it another try.

My first time trying the place after a Google search for a homemade burger. The burger was put together the way I like with tomatoes and leaf lettuce instead of shredded but the patties tasted like its made with lean meat and was overcooked and that made it dry. The fries could've been cooked just a little bit longer also. But this won't discourage me from going back. The lady at the window was nice and the outside eating area was nice and clean. I'll give the catfish a try next time.
