Always a great experience since I was a child as a mom now in her 40s I would definitely recommend this place as a child friendly kids eat free under 3. The food is always hot and ready. The sopapilla's are still the best as I remember since I was a child. You can also buy these cool new magnets.
Just a blast from the past, I love eating here every now and then to get me back to roots. The food is alright and it’s all you can eat.
I haven’t been here in almost 20 years, but as a child my family would come to Pancho’s on sundays after church. It has never been a fine dining experience, but when you want to feed your whole family, this was the place to be. On this trip, I found the food to be hot, fresh and seasoned well. Service was great. Kind and attentive. Sopapillas were to die for and were fresh out of the fryer. More importantly to me was the cleanliness of the place. Floors were spotless, and the building seemed to be well maintained which was surprising due to how long they have been here. Great Job Panchos.
This place truly is a hidden gem. I celebrated my birthday here, and it was fantastic. The atmosphere felt very welcoming, and initially, I assumed it would be pricey. However, when the food arrived, I was blown away because the chicken was incredibly tasty, enough to finish my entire plate. When the bill came, I was like what; it was so very reasonable assuming how delicious the meal was. I left feeling really happy and would definitely recommend Pancho Restaurant to anyone seeking for best food at a great value.
Our running group visited here after doing the Cowtown half marathon and it was sooo good! We live north of Tulsa and used to have the same Pancho’s here but it shut down several years ago. My husband and I, as well as other family, have made several trips to Fort Worth just to eat here. It’s a real treasure and I hope it sticks around for a long time. This trip was probably the best one so far. The food was super fresh and delicious, the server we had was extremely attentive and helpful, and we had a great time. The salad bar and dessert bar were stocked with all kinds of goodies, and the sopapillas were amazing as always. We are all wanting to go back already! I can’t wait to raise the flag again!

Monday noonish Food is goodish, as always. The good: Easy to get to with plenty of parking. The place is clean though i didn't use the restroom, so can't comment on that. The food is pretty good to me. I get 2 tamales with chili, 1 flauta, 1 taquitos, rice and beans, a tostada, 3 tacos, with a refill of 2, 2 baskets of chips and salsa, and all delicious to me, thought probably wouldn't be for a discerning palette, Pico and jalapeños from the salad bar. Sopapillas are delicious, but I just don't eat them any more. I usually finish with an ice cream cone out the door but no cones the last 3 times. They have lots of yummy enchiladas as well, as well as a few more things, but not my thing. The bad: They've raised the price to 23 dollars a head, which is too much. I can go to taco casa and pig out for that price and still have money to spare. The server girl was not attentive, barely came back, and i was out of tea for 10 minutes 2 times. Some other server grabbed it once to refill it, since I looked desperate. I saw my server in the order line taking the money for a line of people. Why would my server be working the register while waiting on people? No ice cream cones again, which is one of my favorite endings. You can put it in a bowl, but I can't walk out the door with that and it's not as good. The salad bar seems to get smaller every time I go.
Pancho's is my favorite! I love the nostalgia of going there. My favorite is the sour cream enchiladas. Poncho's loses 1 star because they have changed the recipe a bit and they aren't quite as good. Please bring back the original recipe. However do NOT let this stop you from going! EVERY child needs the opportunity to raise the flag!! 🏴Over all food is still delicious! There are only 2 restaurants left so local people please continue to support them so I can continue to go when I'm in town. 🙂
The childhood memories of Panchos were great, the present day Panchos is still good. We always say it's the last time we go... The service was great! The chicken tacos are the best flavor so juicy. The place overall looked & was very clean. The bathrooms were interesting. The sopapillas were golden crispy and amazing. Will we go again? Probably will in a year! May God continue to give them favor.
I don't like going to buffets anymore since I had bariatric surgery. I can only eat 4 ounces at a time. I don't mind paying $8 for child's meal because they need to charge something. They can't do th…

Food was horrible. Service was without a smile. ambiance was like all of Fort Worth 's restaurants old and rundown
Green Chile stew was excellent. Chicken tacos were great with guac added. Chile rellenos were similar to the good ole years, but need softer melting cheese inside. Guacamole was excellent. Red chile stew was good but way too many potatoes and cumin. Sour cream enchiladas were kinda dismal, mainly tortilla. Salsa was horrible , considering how close to Mexico they are located. Letting the chefs change the formula to allow more Mexican influence on the menu would be great! I am from NM and took a multi hour detour from I-40 to go south just to visit. Loved the former NM version, but talking 20 years ago. Raise the flag !!!
This is an older place and you can see the age but it still looked pretty good. The employees were friendly and attentive. I don't care for their food or salsa. Everything is bland and the salsa reminds me of Pace. This was the first time since I was a kid going here and probably my last.
Look, Pancho's is a brand that has been slowly disappearing. It's worth visiting to keep something many people in this area grew up with - there's a lot of nostalgia to bank on here. The enchiladas a…

We should've known better than to make this our quick stop for a bite before heading back out of town based on the previous reviews and rating, but there seemed to be a decent amount of cars in the parking lot on Friday afternoon so we went in. The minimal variety of food available was extremely bland, barely warm, and a general mess of slop. Everything just seemed to mush together. The salad bar was a poor excuse of lettuce and tomato and the dessert cart was an arrangement of what seemed to be day (or 4) old brownies, store-bought cookies and pudding. There were 3 other people eating in the restaurant and at least 5 employees (from what we saw). Not a great sign on a Friday. The floor was sticky like it hadn't been mopped in weeks. My husband took our son to the bathroom and found that the men's bathroom had a broken soap dispenser so properly washing your hands is not an option, which begs to question how the workers do. None of us were able, or desired, to finish our food. The most flavorful item offered was the soda. We left a small tip for the friendly waitress and unfortunately plates still full of unfinished food. After leaving I had a feeling that the vehicles in the parking lot were entirely for the workers. Would generally not recommend, unless you like bland Mexican food and a possible case of E.coli poisoning.
Poncho's used to be my favorite restaurant, growing up. I don't believe that I am overreacting when I say that the food is horrible now. The service is good, the people are always good, the environment still has that poncho's feel to it, but they don't put any energy in their food like they use to. They need to go back to the drawing board with their cooks
I remember going to Pancho's as a kid, and I believe the last time I had eaten at one was about 20 years ago. Well, I went yesterday and wish I hadn't. They weren't busy, but the line staff slopped the food on the plates like they were being rushed. The sour cream chicken enchiladas were inedible to me. The beef wasn't horrible, but I could only get about half of one down. The chile rellenos had dried cream cheese in the middle, I'm certain were old. I had gotten a flautas, and they were different than I remember, they were puffy, and tasted like they were put into the fryer before the oil was hot enough, and soaked up all of the old grease. The sopapillas were flat, small, and they didn't have the cinnamon sugar I recall them having when I was younger. The wait staff was friendly and checked on us regularly, but I barely touched any of my food and was beyond dissapointed.
I have been going to Pancho's since 1966. They slowly started closing down after the Mr.Bowden sold the business. Then we moved to Colorado, and Utah. We recently moved back to Fort Worth and saw a Pancho's (Jacksboro Hwy.). We decided to stop in for an early dinner. It was not the same. It is now $13.00 for all you can eat ($5.99 when I was younger). The food was not nearly as good. Not as clean and not much service. I guess it is a good memory anyway.
Visiting from Oklahoma, grew up going to Panchos in OKC. It just wasn't the same. Sour cream enchilada use to be one of my favorites but it wasn't great. The chili relleno was still great and the rice was the same. I'd eat plates and plates of those 2 items. My husband was most disappointed that the ice cream machine was not working.

Bland food and not even remotely inspiring. Its ok of you are looking for a lower end buffet type place that caters to just Mexican style food but I would avoid this one

Servers refused or didn't acknowledge us in line. No-one else there. Me , my son, grandson. Stood in line with trays for almost 20 minutes. No-one else there I line. Embarrassing! We just left. Never go there again.
It used to be good. Now the taquitos were overcooked, the flautas were soggy, the enchiladas tasted like they had been on the line for days. The rice was dry... The sopapillas (or however you spell that) were the only thing that was good. I will never be back.
Food was old and cold and all the server could say was sorry didn’t act like she cared just gave an asinine grin. The chicken taste like tuna it was super dry. I love panchos been coming since I was a kid. I hate complaining about food but literally it was so bad we both got sick.🤢 So sad Panchos will unfortunately be a fond distant memory of the past. Thanks For Ruining My Experience. Oh and the way they were looking at my black goddaughter was disgusting . Do better at trying to hide your racism.
The last 2 times we went, the food just isn't edible anymore and both times it was so hot in there that it was making people sick. Used to be a great place. Unfortunately won't be going back. The staff is super friendly though!
