Opinions de Pappadeaux Seafood kitchen Fort Worth
Great food and service. Even the wait outside is enjoyable as the patio area is so nice. Drinks from the bar were good as well. Lunch specials are reasonable and you can get fried seafood or other food for under $20. However, the features are between $20 and $40 and is worth every penny. Also, my father-in-law swears that they have the best steak… I guess I’ll have to take home to Pappas Steak House in Dallas since he likes this one so much :)
Let's just say my recent Pappadeaux's experience in Dallas left me craving some serious seafood satisfaction. Luckily, I knew exactly where to go: my tried-and-true Pappadeaux's in Fort Worth! This location has always been a reliable favorite, and this visit was no exception. First up, the grilled oysters. These beauties were cooked to perfection, boasting a plump texture and a flavor that had me reaching for more. But the real star of the show was the baked potato. Honestly, it was unlike any I'd ever had before. The secret? I suspect it was the hint of sweetness in the bacon that took it over the top. Every bite was a delicious combination of creamy potato, crispy bacon, and a touch of unexpected sugary goodness. This Fort Worth Pappadeaux's completely redeemed my seafood craving and reminded me why I love this location so much. Friendly service, perfectly cooked dishes, and a surprising yet delightful twist on a classic side - that's what keeps me coming back for more!
Ok first our server DONALD FREAKING AMAZING!!! so friendly and welcoming! This was our first time here for half the group and we will be back and hopefully Donald will still be here because he was awesome. Gave us details about the plates we were interested in. Made jokes. Kept our drinks full. The food was great but Donald was the reason the experience was great! I hope management sees this review and recognizes him because we were a big group and he still managed to keep us happy and serve us all at the same time even though the restaurant was jammed pack!
Marrisol was the best waitress I've ever been served by in a pappadeauxs! She was so attentive and made extra efforts! She made the visit worth it!
Such a delicious place to eat. This place is great for making memories! I ordered the ginger glazed salmon with green beans and dirty rice. SO GOOD! Hubs ordered the Seabass Lobster with Brussel sprouts. It cost almost twice as much as my plate, but he gave me a bite, and it was VERY worth the price! The seabass melted in the mouth and had incredible flavor! We also shared the praline bread pudding. I've got to say it, wasn't my favorite dessert, but I have nothing negative to say about it either. Maybe I was just too full to really enjoy it. Either way, it's a great place to enjoy a nice meal.
Update Review- I always have a great time when I dine-in, the food and service is exceptional. The restaurant does not require anyone to wear a mask but the server's do. I went on a Sunday evening and the place was packed. I made a reservation for my birthday and received a call/text a few minutes before my reservation time. Previous Review-Always great customer service when I dine here. Food is very good. They're really professional, can handle a large party, and no mistakes were made on my dad's birthday. His experience was all I cared about on his special day. He was more than happy and smiled the whole time.
We were a table full of old men and we recieved excellent service. Food was very good and I did drop a star off of atmosphere because it was a bit noisy.....but then we were probably the loudest table in the place....so they lost a star for letting the likes of us in...bunch of half deaf old men yelling at each other and laughing loudest at our own jokes. If you can't do a review with a bit of fun and irony, then what's the point? As the kids say...6 7.
This is my favorite restaurant of all time. The food is always fresh and cooked to perfection. Everything on the menu is absolutely top notch! I highly recommend to anyone wanting excellent seafood!
Absolutely amazing!! Food was large portions! Cooked perfectly! Grady our server was absolutely amazing!!! He interacted with our children and made great conversation with all of us!!!
Very good food, however we hadn't been there in a while and the server that we had acted like he was annoyed to have to serve us.....he tried to rush us, didn't give us a list of Specialty items (guess they still do this) and when we asked, he just threw out some names of fish....so unprofessional as a waiter..... so, we will not be returning any time soon.... UPDATE: returned in May 23rd, (surprise birthday party), the food was delicious, service was great and the drinks were delicious! Going back this weekend!
I love pappadeaux’s and I eat here fairly regularly. Yesterday I got a Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail as an appetizer, my cousin got the fried gator appetizer, and I got the Steak. My steak was a filet. It was good, but definitely not as good as some nearby steakhouse. However, it is a seafood spot. My go to is the blackened grouper here as it’s phenomenal. I will say I hope they bring back the spaghetti squash as a side as that’s super delicious and you can’t get it many places.
Our server was Mike, he was on point. He was attentive without being overbearing. Let us know our options and he made recommendations that we took and were very pleased with. I would say that Mike is in the upper echelon of servers, and Pappadeaux‘s is very fortunate to have him. I had the salmon and shrimp and it was cooked to perfection. It had a garlic butter sauce, that was not too strong in the garlic, slippered pieces of garlic that have either been marinated or salted. An Asian or Chinese broccoli that was absolute perfection, whisper of the Mesquite oven after blanching. We had the garlic cheese bread has suggested by our server, it was toasted, but soft inside, garlic butter, some slivers of garlic – it was perfection. This was my first visit to this Pappadeaux‘s, I had not been to Pappadeaux‘s in about four years. I would not hesitate to recommend this location and of course our server Mike and I think you will leave as a very happy diner.
Papadeaux Seafood was Ahhmazing. As a family, due to everyone's busy schedules, we don't get a chance to have family dinner together as much. The staff was great from the start. We started at the bar and were seated pretty quickly. Even as it was very busy. The bartender was great she made our drinks (I had the Martini Expresso), and then we were told our table was ready. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the many different meals and preparations of them. I had tge Shrimp Alfredo. My son and daughter in law had the honey glazed salmon. 😋 need I really say more. I hadn't been to this locator in about 10 years but i guarantee you it won't be that long again. So if your ever in the Fort Worth Tx. Area make sure to stop in. I promise you won't regret it.
Wonderful food ... wonderful experience ... great waiter. The gulf coast oysters were amazing! The giant shrimp and grits... see pic... oh my goodness. I have only had grits a couple times and was unimpressed... but these... I couldnt stop eating them Update ate here again 5 stars again Great job
Just wanted to give a huge shoutout to our waitress Anahi!!! We came to Pappadeaux tonight to celebrate mine and my dad’s birthday and the food was good as always but Anahi was exceptional! She was very attentive to our needs and went above and beyond for us, we will definitely be back because of her.
We've been here twice, once just the hubs and I, and once with friends. Hubs and I loved the food both times. When we went with our friends, one of them called later and said there was too much butter on her food (I will admit there was quite a bit), and they were nice enough to give them a gift card to account for their meal. Great customer satisfaction move! We got clams on the half shell both times and being from the North East (PA), we're serious about them. They did not disappoint! The seafood here is fresh and well-seasoned, and the portions are just right. The drinks are fabulous as well. The brownie I took to go was so good! It comes with ice cream that I ate on the way home so it wouldn't melt 😉We will be back for sure when we want a special indulgent dinner. Pics included from both visits. I included a pic of the receipt as well. Keep in mind there are drinks in there.
Where do I begin the food was amazing, the service was exceptional and the atmosphere was great! Celebrated my birthday with my husband and daughter. I chose this restaurant because they have a kids menu and not just selected options they had a variety of healthy options to choose from. She ate everything! Simon, our server was excellent! From beginning to end. He was so down to earth and even conversed with us a few times. He was very professional and took care of us very well. Awesome job, Simon! The food was cooked to perfection! Everything was so flavorful and delicious! A great family spot for any occasion. We reserved a table online and were seated promptly. It was busy but the wait was not long for those who were walking in. Pictured: Grilled talipia with shrimp in a lemon butter sauce and green beans with almonds Kids plate: white rice with grilled chicken. She had green beans as well Fried catfish and fried shrimp with a loaded bake potatoe. Dessert: chocolate turtle bownie with vanilla ice cream.
We had a great experience! Even though it was Saturday night and we showed up 30 mins earlier than our reservation, we were seated immediately. The service was great, but the food was fantastic! I would highly recommend the grouper with shrimp and crab. The seafood fondue was also fabulous. All in all, chef's kiss!
Visiting this Pappadeaux was my first time experiencing eating here at this restaurant. Cameron was our server and she was absolutely phenomenal! She helped make my first experience here such an incredibly warm and welcoming atmosphere ! From the moment we walked through the door, the front hostess staff, and especially Kim, made me feel super welcome to walk into their doors! The food is absolutely outstanding also! Thank you Cameron for how amazing you are! I will definitely be back !
My wife and I had an incredible experience here. We celebrated our 5th anniversary there and it couldn't have been any better. Our server took excellent care of us ,no issues with our orders in addition to our modifications made to them as well. The team overall worked so well together, cleaning and clearing tables with a positive attitude, the hosts area worked extremely efficient getting everyone a table in a timely manner, and the food was out of this world. I can't wait to return and see how they wow us again next time!
I absolutely love the Greek salad! Their food is always great. The atmosphere is wonderful as well. Great place to take your family if you like seafood or Cajun cuisine. If you have not had the Greek salad, it is literally life-changing! We also love the redfish. However, you can never go wrong with the fried sampler or whatever their weekly special is. Never had a bad experience with the weight staff. They are always wonderful. We had Lexi wait on us today and she was amazing. Kids love the lobster tank at the front entrance next to the hostess. Also, they make an amazing spicy bloody Mary.
One of my favorite places to visit in Texas. The food is always good and fresh. My husband was in between 2 dishes and asked the server to help choose and she didn't disappoint with her suggestion. Both of our dishes were good. There was a hair in on one of our appetizers but the manager quickly got it replaced when brought to her attention apologizing and taking it off the bill. Great food and even better customer service.
Another perfect experience at Pappadeaux. Excellent service, friendly, prompt and helpful. The grouper with shrimp and crab was delicious and just spicy enough. Carrots were very good with a unique spicy seasoning that had hints of cardamom. Seafood pasta was the star. Great variety, from octopus to alligator. Amazing good dish with all the components perfectly cooked.
Grady, our server, was absolutely phenomenal! We've been to Pappadeaux many times, but this was easily an unforgettable experience thanks to him. His service was amazing, professional, and genuinely exceptional from start to finish. We need more servers like Grady—he truly made our day!
Had Logan as our waitress a few days back. Truly top tear! She took care of our 5 top so efficiently and pre bussed while we ate in a very kind way. She highlighted the menu, and hit everything she needed to. It made my waitress heart happy, and flowers must be thrown to her.
Man, this is my favorite spots to visit while I'm in town. Great food, drinks, and service. No complaints. Food: I had the seafood and sausage gumbo. It was very flavorful. The only thing I didn't care for were the big pieces of celery. Other than that, delish. 9 out of 10. The crawfish and shrimp fondeaux were ok. I'll give it a 6 of 10. I'm not sure if they changed the recipe, but it reminded me of cream of shrimp or something like that. Drinks: I had the Grand Hennessey, and it was delicious. The Peach sidecar martini is strong and delicious. Both drinks receive a 10 of 10. Service: Very good. 10 of 10
This was my first Pappadeauxs experience, and it was just lovely! Our waiter Mike was very attentive, accommodating, and highly knowledgeable about the menu and quality. The food was delicious, efficient, and even the fried food was very light and well seasoned. The ceaser salad is also a great way start to the meal. Thank you for a lovely experience, would love to return soon. 👍🏻
Stopped by around 6:15 PM for a quick dinner. This location is pretty crowded in the evenings but we were seated as soon as we arrived. This will not be possible during the weekend and you’d probably have to wait 30 minutes plus. This location has both indoor and outdoor seating. Thank you Shauna for great service. See you next time! The food at Pappadeaux is always good. We had Caesar salad, broccolini, oysters and the seafood Tagliatelle. Food was on point, service and ambiance were top notch. Free freshly baked bread was served hot with a side of room temperature butter.
We had a fantastic dinner tonight, and Tanner made the experience truly special. From the moment we were seated, he was welcoming, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He timed our courses perfectly and checked in just the right amount of times. It’s rare to find service this genuine. Tanner really went above and beyond to ensure we had a great night. We’ll definitely be asking for his section next time we visit!
Great atmosphere and good food. The service however was incredible. Ken gave our large party fantastic service amidst a busy Saturday night. Haven’t had service like that in years and it made the entire experience more than worth it. I’ll be back to see Ken for sure.
I haven't been here in years. Had a friend visit for New Years and she wanted seafood. This was the first place I thought of. I'm pretty sure you can get anything on the menu and not be disappointed. It's a little pricey, but worth it. Our waiter was great. My beer mug never went dry. I'm going to start coming here more often. I crave seafood often.
Had dinner with my daughter for her 22nd Birthday. My waiter was amazing. Food was great. The hostess not so much but she could have been having a bad day. Overall great experience!
Our dinner visit was very good on our Anniversary December 5. The service was good. The food was good. We travel around the US because we live on our motorhome. We have a hard time finding good seafood other than our home town area of Virginia Norfolk/Chesapeake/Virginia Beach which most of the time comes from Chesapeake Bay area. Our food here was good. They also gave us a free desert. I chose the Bread Pudding. It was ok. I was raised in the Eastern side of NC in Gates Co which was country cooking so the bread pudding didn't cto match it, but the food itself was very hood. I had fried shrimp & catfish with fries, my husband had oysters on half shell and fried oysters. And my brother had fried oysters & loaded baked potato. Also alligator bites for appetizer. $200 with tip
Ran into an issue with setting a reservation. Leo the General Manager was notified and quickly resolved the situation and got us taken care of with such grace. Been coming here 15+ years and will continue to always come here. Thank you Pappadeaux!
Me and my fiancé stopped in to grab a bite to eat before a business meeting we were in town for and let me tell you the food was amazing!!! We got the spinach and crab dib, something crusted salmon lol and the seafood platter, raw oysters (so good and fresh) the passion fruit martini, blood orange mule, pineapple margarita and finished with bread pudding and Crème brûlée! We couldn’t stop ordering because everything was so good!! The only thing that was better than the food was the hospitality of the wait staff who cater and took care of me and my needy fiancé 😂😂 THANK YOU so much to Tristan, Gerardo, Marco, && Julian you guys really made our experience the best! We will be back soon to see y’all and maybe y’all can catch a Cal Presley Band show while we are there!! ❤️
Always a treat to come here. One of my top 5 places to have a nice dinner. Thanks for not disappointing. Staff was great as always. Had a guy training and we really enjoyed making that fun and not awkward. Trainer was fun and helpful and his trainee was a rockstar. Couldn't make a choice on what I wanted for dessert so the servers brought me tiny samples! Never had that before but really helpful. Can't wait to come back! Hopefully soon!
This was our first time visiting Pappadeaux, and it definitely won’t be our last! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was exceptional—super friendly and attentive. The portions were huge, especially for the price, and everything we tried was delicious. Took my wife here, and we both absolutely loved it. Honestly, I can’t believe it took me this long to check it out. Highly recommend!
I visited Pappadeaux Fort Worth for a work lunch-meeting. I had grilled salmon with tiger shrimps, broccoli 🥦 and mushroom sauce glazed spinach. Like a gold standard of Pappadeaux, the food was freshly made and super delicious. Thats one reason, pappadeaux is one of my favorite choice for lunch and dinner when it comes to sea food.
If anyone has been following "any" reviews I myself have written, you've probably noticed a pattern ... I don't, and will not, write a negative review. Why?? Good question. It's because the realm of restaurant reviews are literally saturated with negative stuff already, so I don't feel the need to go there. That said, here's yet another positive 5 stars + kinda review. This one goes out to Poppadeaux Restaurant in Ft. Worth along I-30 / Forest Park area & our server Gus! This fine fellow was sooo totally on top of everything. Didn't have to ask much of him in getting something, like drink refills, napkins, etc.. Ok ... to be fair, we didn't need any additional napkins 😁, but you get the idea. He was pleasant, outgoing, alert, observant, bringing his top A game to the table ... pun intended 😁!! When dining out, whether alone or with the missus (as was the case here) this is the type thing we both look for in a server. Then, there's the food. What can I say?? This is Poppadeaux ... classy restaurant with classy food! And today, it did not disappoint. The missus got a fish plate, I had a soup and salad. Sizeable portions done right on all fronts, with a 5 star rating on the food presentation. In restaurants such as Poppadeaux ... yeah, I look at stuff like that (lol). Yes, this is a higher priced restaurant. This is no Long John Silver's type thing. As they say, you get what you pay for, and for the awesome service we got, for the quality of food brought to the table ... so freakin' worth it! I did actually got a pic of the fish plate (lol)... the fish looked soooo delicious, I couldn't resist taking a pic of it!! As we finished our meal, I requested for the manager ... so Rylan came over & we conveyed our appreciation for a job well done by Gus ... that fellow rocks ... but also in praise of the food that was sooo good. Seriously good food done right! So if you're in a "fishy mood", I highly recommend you give Poppadeaux a go if you haven't already. But again, get ready to drop a few extra bux, 'cause it's not cheap. That said, I feel for the price point, given the quality of both food & service ... definitely worth it. Great for a first impression kinda thing on a date, or a celebration ... or just anything really! So whether you're with family, friends, or just yourself even ... get up and go! You will not regret going! And be sure to ask for Gus. He will give you the 5 star service you're looking for! Thank you Poppadeaux ... and thank you Gus for a delightful dining experience! Will definitely be returning!
We visited before a concert at Dickey’s Arena. We were greeted and seated right away. The Burst of Paradise cocktail was delicious. Our food came out quickly and was very good. I would rate it four stars, however, our server, Simon, was incredible. He was polite, courteous, knowledgable, helpful and prompt. Excellent service and we will definitely return.
You can’t go wrong with Pappadeaux! It’s always good, but last night (09/01/25) was truly exceptionally exquisite! I dined here with my Dad & we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. For starters, we had the crab cake & it was HUGE, full of tender, jumbo lump crab meat; best I’ve ever had honestly. Moreover, I highly recommend the blackened trout & he had the fried catfish & shrimp. The food was so fresh & seasoned to perfection! Also, the service was genuine & with a smile all around. Pappadeaux patron for life!!!
If it’s seafood I’m there!!!! If it’s Pappadeaux!!!!! I’m in the house!!! Look I will just say if you know, YOU KNOW!!!!!!! Those lump crab cakes took the show and those oysters were kissed by Zeus!!!!!! That’s why I have never found another crab cake like it!!!!! Y’all have him bound somehow in the back making a profit off his work!!! I am left speechless and that’s hard for me.
Pappadeaux‘s was excellent as usual. I’ve been eating here for about 30+ years I originally was eating at the Houston Pappas locations. My friend had beautiful naked trout with lemon butter sauce today I tried the étouffée. It was tasty little spicy. My favorite dish. Here is the red fish ponchatrain that is my go to with the dirty rice.
A Truly Memorable Dining Experience! From the moment we walked in, the warmth and attentiveness of our server Genna and other staff set the tone for an incredible evening. Every team member we interacted with was genuinely kind, welcoming, and made us feel like more than just customers, we felt like guests. The service was exceptional!! Genna was knowledgeable, friendly, and checked in often enough to be helpful without ever being intrusive. By far the best server we’ve had!! And the food? Absolutely delicious. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. Highly recommend the crab cakes!! We’ll definitely be back!
Every time I've come to this establishment, I'm NEVER let down. My wife and I have eaten here 2-3 times now. Here are a few of our dishes. We also tried the strawberry margarita, the peach sidecar(SUPER STRONG EVEN FOR A DRINKER), and a couple other drinks I can't remember but were tasty and worth the price. We had the seafood fondue, the pasta, the catfish with shrimp and oysters, the gators bites and stuffed 🍤🤤🤤🤤. Our server was the most polite and professional server we've had and his name RAY CHARLES!. ASK FOR RAY and your night shall be enjoyed seamlessly. But yeah, sage to say we'll be regulars!
It was super busy and the wait was 30 mn to be seated for a Saturday. Had to settle for the bar which was very convenient. I had the glazed salmon and oven baked crab cakes. The glazed salmon was pretty good 🥴 and I did the fully cook, and the Crab cake was a bit oily 😱 and well season. I wasn't a fan of the bread and butter...😑 The bread was a bit hard.
If only the waitress would have been more friendly- would have totally been 5 stars across the board. Food was excellent! Had the crispy catfish beignets for appetizer. They were delicious! For dinner- Caesar salad- shrimp gumbo - fried shrimp platter- ginger salmon. All excellent! House Margarita- & hurricane cocktails. Highly recommend this place!!!!!!
We came for an anniversary dinner. The alligator starter was underwhelming but my redfish pontchartrain was terrific. My husband had pasta Mardi Gras and loved it. We had a free creme brulee bc it was our anniversary. Two glasses of prosecco and a glass of pinot grigio. Yeah. Pricey. $188 for two. Still, we enjoyed it.
We dined here a couple weekends ago while in town and while the food and service were fine, I felt the need to just point out two things. 1. The hosts named Mikayla and Grace were incredibly sweet and helpful, I had made my reservation for the wrong date online, however Mikayla was very patient and was able to get us a table despite me messing up the reservation. 2. Originally I had spoken the manager Barrett about my issue who was absolutely no help. He basically just told us tough luck there was just nothing he could do for us. All he offered was to comp our drinks that we had while waiting, and said we should "be thanking him" for his graciousness of two drinks 🙄 Ive worked in restaurants a long time and I know that acknowledges can sometimes be aimed in the wrong direction, and my husband and I wanted to make sure the employees who ACTUALLY helped us were recognized.
Waitress was very tentative at first. Didn't come back after meal was served. I ordered a glass of wine. She forgot to bring it. Instead of asking me if I still wanted it she just took it off the bill. The fish had a large blood bubble in it.
Pappadeaux has definitely lost its standards when it comes to quality, presentation, and ambiance. It has really become a normal thing to ask a patron to wait between 15 to 30 minutes just to be seated in an empty restaurant only to find that the area that you are being seated in has not been cleaned (floors not swept on this visit) which is completely unacceptable. Although the quality of the restaurant has declined, the prices seem to continue to increase you can expect to pay on the lower end a price starting at $20.00. As for those seeking an adult beverage, I'm not sure if the bartender was new as in "first day on the job", but I ordered a chocolate martini and rather than the martini having chocolate drizzled on it, it was drizzled with caramel and had a drop of whipped topping which was very unappealing to the eye I definitely would have rathered it not be in the glass at all. I would really like to see Pappadeaux do a better job, because with the prices you are charged I expect to have a wow factor from an overall experience and unfortunately that is not what was given.
The fish wasn't fried crispy enough. Baked potato was extra small. Spinach dip was delicious! The drink tasted more like punch. (No alcohol??)
The bartender and waiter were fantastic. The food though.... The cobb salad has changed along with some of the other menu items. I dont was a deconstructed salad. It very very loud inside. Hard to hear fellow dinnermates. The interior was dirty.
This review will be completed in 2 parts bc the Chef deserves better than how we were treated. The Chef did an awesome job on the food, the appetizer was amazing, the food was wonderful except my Salad that the server mixed tasted like eating raw salad; just terrible tasting they took if off. Kudos, to the Chef 👨🍳 great job!
I got the boil crawfish to go. I’m from South Louisiana I didn’t have great expectations but I assumed that Pappadeaux would at least make an effort. They were filthy straight from the crawfish sack into the cook pot as far as I can tell. I found grass in the container of crawfish and not just one little piece of grass. And they had not been purged obviously because they were dirty. I rinsed them thoroughly before peeling them. This was very disappointing because I’m a regular customer.
Our food was excellent as always, our service was not. The waiter, Joe, started out great, and as it got busy, we got forgotten. By the time he checked in on our food, we had already eaten half of it. We asked for more bread for the meal, and didn't receive it until long after we were done, ready for the check and bill. The worst was waiting about 10-15 minutes to receive the check AFTER asking him for it and along with some boxes. We watched him walk by us several times within that timeframe only to get ignored until he finally went to a printer to print our check. I was seconds away from just walking out because it seemed like the waiter was purposefully ignoring us. Also, we chose to come here to celebrate my husband for Veteran's Day, and the service really ruined it for us. We will definitely not be coming back to this location.
We haven't been in this chain restaurant in years, and we're disappointed to find out many changes. The food was still fine, but the service took a deep dive down... We waited too long for our drinks twice and the first time I would have accepted the excuse of changing shifts, but the second round was inexcusable and the waitress did not even bother to explain or apologize. The worst part was when we ordered oysters and one was visibly bad, to which the waitress again not only didn't offer a solution but didn't even apologize.
Lighting was pleasant, staff were accommodating and attentive. Dirty rice was dry, entrée was decent, appetizers were great. For what you get, the price of the food is about $4 too much per entrée. Nothing about the restaurant would make it worth going out of my way to make a visit, unless a friend asked to meet up there.
Went here with for a company dinner. It was okay. Cheesesticks were a win for appetizers, large portions & plenty on each serving that came out. The cesar salad was overly drenched in dressing, the dressing is good but it was a just alot. We do appreciate that there are alternative options offered not within the menu we had set, I think someone mentioned there was an alfredo & maybe another fish such as salmon? I can't remember all the reasons why we asked but I know one reason was because they said they could not cater to the individual steak preferences in large groups, made sense in an efficiency way when they explained it. What they didn't tell us after some chose not order steak for that very reason, was that after anyone who ordered steak & cut into it, they could back to cook it longer based on each individual's preference. I'm allergic to shrimp, I ordered the steak with vegetables. I did inform the waiter that I had a shrimp allergy, he was gracious & asked me a few questions to help better address my food preparation. A few minutes later another staff member, maybe a manager, comes in & thanks us for choosing there restaurant. Then he asks who has the allergy & asks the same questions the waiter asked me. It just put me on the spotlight that I (nor several of my coworkers) felt was necessary. It wasn't embarrassing but more annoying seeing how our waiter had been thorough, or come to me one on one just to reconfirm if needed. I felt bad for my coworkers because they now had genuine concern I might be exposed to something since many had shrimp dishes. I will say that I did enjoy the steak & asparagus. Dessert was delicious, a great creme brulee & the cheesecake slices were generous! Also, there were larger amounts of time between when the first person got their salad or soup to when the last person received theirs, same situation with the entrées. In both phases they basically asked who was missing what & then asked what they had. Refills & drinks, the same. Maybe they were short handed but if they were, we wished they would've communicated that so we could anticipate any timing issues. Aside from the allergy thing, the staff tending to us were very polite. Maybe it's more of a training issue higher up because they seemed to be doing their best, but right now it's a miss at this location.
I got the wild caught grouper and jumbo crab with carrots. The carrots were really good but unfortunately the grouper was dry and the shrimp wasn’t thoroughly cleaned. The crab was very good, but I only received 4 tiny bits (the size of a dime). The lemon butter sauce with pistachios was delicious, just wish there was more of it. I didn’t like the bread, it was very dry. The curbside service was quick and friendly! I’ve dined inside a few times and I love the atmosphere. The oysters are always delicious too!
I was semi-excited about visiting this place but figured what the heck we’re here visiting right? The table was way too small for our party. They forgot a chair (the chairs are really uncomfortable too!) our server could definitely use more training. He provided bread with no plates and the entire table couldn’t be served at once. He never came by to check on us either. The “gumbo” was entirely too spicy with a slightly off taste (New Orleans natives here) and we ended up sending that back. Sausage in the gumbo does have a really a nice good smoky flavor though. Kind of disappointing overall but the atmosphere was nice. Side note: makes zero sense to have an entire patio area such as that and not utilize it all year round with fire pits in the colder months!!! Actually shocked you guys don’t do that already.
My very 1st Time at Pappadeaux . Sat at the bar. Atmosphere is stiff. Bartender was decent. Asked for a Tito’s mule , but they had to go to Pappasitos to get the Tito’s . Silverware was nasty! Wasn’t offended when I wasn’t offered bread & butter. I wish I would have received the same service as those around me.
We were extremely disappointed with our latest dining experience. We ordered the seafood platter for the first time and were impressed by how good the platter looked but were disappointed in how unseasoned everything tasted. We also ordered an extra side of red beans and rice. When the dish arrived it was lukewarm at best. The atmosphere was not conducive to our expectations and the piped-in music made the experience even worse. The best thing I had was a large Three Wheel Motion and the bread and butter. As a content creator and reviewer I enjoy taking beautiful pictures and can make any food appear appetizing so don't be fooled by my first two images.
Called beforehand to see if they would accommodate a small party and a dog on the patio they said yes just to arrive hours later and tell me they will not be serving anyone outside today because it’s too cold at 60degrees. Waste of time drove to the next location and they were happy to serve me
Worst experience I’ve had by far. I’m only giving it 1 star because the manager took care of the entire check except the alcohol. Made a reservation 2 weeks in advance and still had to wait 45 minutes. Was sat at a small table for a party of 7. Waited 30 minutes for bread and butter. Our meals took forever to come out and when they did the food was cold. Our appetizers came 10 minutes AFTER our meal came out. Our frozen margaritas came out melted. Very disappointing experience. Will not be coming back to this location.
We made reservations yesterday for Birthday Party for today. Horrible Services and Managers did not help. we asked for a long table and they sat us down on 2 small round Tables as we waited to be seated even though they had other long tables Available. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND ATTITUDE from the staff to Management. Never dining here Again!
Came here tonight because wanted to celebrate my fiancé having a baby. We’ve been here before but tonight was very unacceptable. Put our name on the list waited at least 15 minutes before going to check to just to see that someone else was assigned to our booth obviously she wants a booth because it’s more comfortable. Went to go sit at chairs waited another 10 minutes for service waitress was actually awesome. However, entrees came out and the Mississippi whatever it’s called dish and the shrimp with every part of the meal was very salty. I spent $225. I only left a tip because I understand that’s how most waitresses make their money but if it wasn’t for the young lady helping us I wouldn’t have tipped one dollar. That was the worst experience ive had at this establishment. P.s. if I wouldn’t have waited that 20 minutes for the booth the hostess gave away after telling us to wait in the waiting area I would have been able to have my food remade. 0/10 experience.
I would give these rude clowns a negative 0. Went last night for a bite. Went to the bar waiter barely was around the bartender was actually very attentive!! Waiter only brought a drink and ticket didn’t check on us anything!!! Ticket came out he charged the card.. then all of a sudden he has to charge the card twice and the other transaction falls off in 24 hours?????????? I said may i speak with manager he said he was!!! I said well let me call the card to make sure if not we will pay!! No just leave!!! Ill take care of it??? It was paid already take care of what !!! You can leave?? Like embarrassing you couldn’t wait for a customer to check their card!!! Like I’ve been to over 1800 restaurants i will be calling the store as well. Stop going these places food basic. judgmental rude staff
I went to get my 80 year old mom her favorite dish as she was admitted into the hospital yesterday for cardiac issues and this was last her meal before surgery tomorrow. When I got back to the hospital w/ her our food her box was badly cracked at the bottom & on the side; portions of her étouffée leaked out onto the bedside table and my linguine box was also cracked. When I called I was placed on hold then told that the mgr was busy & they could take my number; when I said I would continue to hold, I was on hold for 20 mins until the phone hung itself up on me. When I called back they would not answer as I called back several times. When I blocked my number they answered w/o greeting & just put me on hold & allowed the same thing to happen. This time to the point that the restaurant had closed. As a nurse I would never treat a patient this badly, if I forgot something they asked for I would apologize, give an explanation & rectify the issue. This level of disrespect & poor customer service is unacceptable. Admit you’re wrong, rectify the problem & apologize. I know spending $165 isn’t much but for this overworked, underpaid nurse it was a lot( I fed my mom, dtr, spouse & self so we could all eat w/ my mom).
On 2-16-2026 my twin sister and I celebrated our 69th birthday with 8 other family members from across the country. ( Denver, Co, Miami, Fl, Goldsboro NC) We arrived at our 1700 reservation and sat at the 1’st table from the entrance station, closest to the entrance by the windows. The male server was mediocre at best and had to be reminded of items we ordered. The food was delivered with inconsistent temperatures, some was perfect, some was cold and our baked potatoes were never delivered at all. After asking for our baked potatoes on *3* different occasions and never receiving them we requested them to go. Later that night we attempted to eat them we found they weren’t completely cooked. I finished cooking mine’s in the microwave for 8 minutes (2 minutes at a time) until done. This was my first time eating at any of these restaurants and was really disappointed…
visited Papadeaux Seafood Kitchen this past weekend for Valentine’s Day, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. My boyfriend and I both became sick with food poisoning after eating here. I ordered the Mardi Gras Pasta, and he had the Crawfish Platter. We’ve always loved coming to this specific location and have never had an issue before, which makes this experience even more upsetting. What should have been a special night turned into a nightmare, and we’ve been dealing with the aftermath ever since. Very disappointed. I Understand it was very busy however the restaurant needs to Make sure that food safety is still being in place. Someone was not being clean while preparing the food.
We were going through Texas on our way back to K.C. & decided to stop by Pappadeaux for their cajun seafood. I made reservations online for party of 3. We arrived & we were seated. I went to the ladies room to wash my hands when I returned to my table I didn't have a menu, the other 2 parties had menus. The waitress came over & asked would we like to order appetizers? I asked her could I get a menu to see what appetizers they had to offer. I didnt want any appetizers, we placed our order. My Daughter ordered bowl of gumbo w/ crab & shrimp, ceasar salad, & shrimp w/ Spinach dip. I ordered the fried catfish w/crawfish etoufee, my Husband ordered fried shrimp combo. My mouth was watering for the catfish, when I received my food it looked delicious. The catfish didn't have any seasoning on it, my dirty rice was cold. My drink was Dr. Pepper it was flat. I was so disappointed 😞 & in disbelief. All I've heard is how good the food is here @ Pappadeaux only to experience how horrible the food is. We were asked if we wanted complimentary bread which I thought you received anyways. Our table was full of plates from the appetizers & bread we had no room for our entrees. The bus boy was cleaning the table next to us, we have him the plates that needed to be picked up. He said he only picks up the glasses not the plates. He was nice enough to take our plates to the back. I asked our server for the ticket & a to go plate. We waited for ten minutes, then a guy came over I am assuming he was the manager. He asked if we was done eating, I told him yes, we were waiting on a to go plate & the bill. He brought the to go plate & the bill I was so ready to go & don't want to go back. I don't recommend this particular Pappadeaux. I am not sure if this particular location is a training store I rate this store a 1 out of 10.
