Opinions de Seven Mile Cafe Fort Worth
Customer service was wonderful. The waiter was very polite. The food was extraordinary full of flavor and the quantity was great. The coffee was very strong. And I have a very large variety of a selection of things to eat there. I have a lot of beautiful art on the walls. A nice social place to go.
Excellent service from Rachel S! Coming from someone else in the service industry, she nailed every point a waitress could hit. Friendly, attentive, super helpful! All around great. The food was a hit! First time trying grits and they did not disappoint. The atmosphere is lovely, cozy, without being crowded, and very welcoming. Will definitely come back again!
Upon arriving, we were told the wait was 1.5 hr, however, were seated immediately at the bar. The place got rave reviews and it did not disappoint. I got the Southern Benny (see photo) and Eshrat got the California Benny. We both got the Seven Mile Latte (see photo) and Cinnamon Bun. They were working their tails off and deserve a raise! The food was exceptionally delicious 😋 and I highly recommend this place! 🔥 💪 💯
Very solid breakfast On the table: Biscuits, Gravy, eggs, bacon, hash browns, fried chicken, cinnamon roll, blueberry streusel pancake, latte, drip coffee. Huge menu full of options including a large vegan section and full bar with brunch style drinks. ** Our server Nicole was awesome **
Alexandra was our server & she was fantastic amazing customer service very attentive. The food here is always great. Thank you Alexandra for much brunch great
Absolutely what a brunch spot should be. The menu at this place is outstanding. There are more gluten-free options here than any restaurant we have been to and we actually found it hard to make a choice! Our server was great- (sorry! Forgot his name but he was a larger stature guy w facial hair on Wednesday 10/6) we sat outside on the patio and had a great service. The atmosphere is great. We enjoyed Irish coffee alongside our brunch. A few things to note, you cannot call ahead or make a reservation so a weekday is the best time to come because they close early in the afternoon and on weekends there is quite a crowd- second note- portions are very very generous so maybe plan to share or order light knowing it’s going to be more than plenty. Hoping more locations open soon- as this and the Keller location are quite a drive for us.. totally enjoyable- can’t wait to go back and try more items.
Food is great, if a little overpriced for the portion sizes. What keeps me coming back to the IH-35 at Western Center location is the exceptional service. I always sit at the bar so that I can get echelon-level service from Drake. Drake is awesome! -bryan
First time customer, will definitely be back!! Coffee was yummy, food was great and the service was excellent! Jaiden, Samantha, Kammie, Reyna, Alexandra and Mina all took great care of our group!! WTG Guys!!
Cute cafe and yummy options. Ernesto was an amazing server, he was very attentive and kind. He made our experience great. Will definitely be back in the future 😋
Kandice gave us amazing service! Food was great. My boys got the Oreo waffles and Nutella French toast. Highly recommend!
This place is always so clean. I love being greeted as I walk in the door and made to feel at home immediately Kammie behind the bar is always so friendly and attentive! And she makes a great cup of Java to boot! Ask for her when you come!
Great customer service! The lemon pancakes were amazing!!! The curd was so fresh and perfect! The Huevos rancheros needed more sauce and the beans needed to be seasoned. The beans had no salt and overpowered the dish. There was no balance in flavors due to the limited sauce. Definitely will be back but will request a cup of sauce to add.
We love this place, and the food is always great. I want to shout out our server this morning, Kandace. She was phenomenal!
What a delicious breakfast. Our server Kandace was outstanding. Hospitable, friendly, and ultra efficient, Kandace made sure our needs were met at all times. Can’t say enough good things about the service we received. Can’t wait to come back
First time at this location. Both locations are equally great. Somewhat pricey, but the portion sizes are huge. My potato bowl alone, I could have split up into three meals easily. I ate maybe less than a third and took home the rest and gave it to my adult son to finish off lol Will need to visit again to see if they have smaller portion options. This is a vegan friendly restaurant. Staff was friendly and the service was quick.
This is the best breakfast restaurant ever! I wish they would open one in Amarillo. Along with Kandace, she provided the best service! Rare to have someone as nice and service minded. The jalapeño sauce is so good.
Went to eat breakfast at 7 Miles in Fort Worth, Texas, off I-35 and Western Center, and as always, it was delicious. The service was excellent, and the food, atmosphere, and cleanliness were all outstanding as well. Thank you for serving us Kandace!
We came in hungry and left emotionally changed thanks to Kandace. From the moment she greeted us, we knew this wasn’t just service — this was a higher calling. Kandace didn’t just take our order. She anticipated our cravings before we knew them ourselves. I swear she read my mind, nodded slightly, and said, “Trust me.” She was right. At one point our drinks were refilled before they were even empty. I’m not saying she bent the laws of physics, but I am saying time slowed down around our table. Midway through the meal, I’m pretty sure Kandace: • Traveled back in time and prevented the stock market crash • Solved at least two unsolved cold cases • Fixed someone’s credit score • And still checked on us with perfect timing and a smile The food tasted better simply because she brought it. Coincidence? I don’t think so. Her energy was immaculate. Her humor was elite. Her service was so good that if Kandace ever leaves this restaurant, the economy may suffer. If you’re lucky enough to get Kandace as your server, cancel your plans for the rest of the day — because nothing is topping that experience. Promote her. Protect her. Clone her. — A table that will never emotionally recover (in the best way)
This was a great find for Breakfast, we are moving to the area and are use to a place called Bic's in Addison. Seven Mile Cafe exceed my expectations by seven miles. This place is clean, staff was polite, timely, and knowledgeable. The food was AMAZING! Food was fresh, good just right, and pleasing to the eyes (look good, taste great). If the parking lot is full don't let it fool you, stop by and grab a bite you will not regret it. If this helps give it a thumbs up.
Food was great, they had a good bit of choices you can choose from starting with breakfast, lunch, and brunch. What I had is a chicken and waffle. Waffle was amazing, chicken meat was nice and juicy but skin was okay, not the best. My date had a combo. Would I go back yes, just to try another option. But other than that. It was a great place to eat.
Margaret was an amazing server! She was very accommodating for my guest’s pickiness and always checked on the table and delivered more mimosas (my fave part). I had the ginger mimosa and the Hawaiian and I don’t know which one I loved more. I came on a Wednesday (Juneteenth) in the morning and I was able to be seated at the table for 2 hours without issue (thank you!!!). I also got the California Benny and it was the most delicious thing I have ever tasted. I legit CLEANED my plate. I would lick it if I wasn’t in public. I love the setup and it is wheelchair accessible. They had a variety of seating to tables and chairs, booths, and a bar inside as well. The decor is beautiful and a really cool theme. I was visiting Fort Worth from Tampa, FL and I will definitely be back in the future.
Kandance was very kind and helpful! We had a table full of kids and her patience while we took our time with the menu meant a lot. She also had the best Christmas sweater!
I had an excellent experience from beginning to end. The service was fast, friendly, and exceeded my expectations. Iveth took the time to make sure everything was done right and answered all my questions. I will absolutely be coming back!
This was our second time here. My wife enjoyed it the first time so we came back on her birthday. Our server/waitress Amanda went above and beyond. We had a lil hick up but she smoothed it. Wife went from a frown back to a smile. Thx Amanda. Food Family Fun Seven Mile Cafe
What a great morning of breakfast with my family after having Christmas last night. The food, service and atmosphere were great. Kammie, Mina, Rena and Alexandra were very the best and made the experience more fun!
This was around the corner from the hotel we stayed at. I went for a healthy breakfast and yes indeed very happy with it I was so pleased about the vegan choices and how detailed there menu was with what they use to cook and detailed. I do believe some people can complain about it and say it’s too much to read or why but if you don’t care about health then u are in the wrong location to eat at. I live in NWA and I saw Onyx coffee I will not say just because of Arkansas ima say I was amazed happy dance that they had that coffee but simply the best bcz it’s sooo delicioso it’s smooth and not to burn it’s magical that mmmm feeling and smell I am also from California and I don’t think besides intelligentsia coffee I believe those two are on the neck.
Loves this place! had alot of glutten free options for my partner that can't eat glutten. Ernesto was our server and was great at making sure we weren't missing anything, he broke down the menu and what were our options based on what we could eat 🤗 will be saving this place for when im in fort worth again.
This place is always busy. We were not able to reserve by phone, so we went in-person to make our reservation. They told us they the waiting time was about 1 hr, but we got called within 30 minutes. Our server was super friendly and helpful and helped us suggest their popular food items. We had their Very Berry French Toast, Jo's Breakfast Tacos, Seven Miles Latte and Macha Tea Latte. We enjoyed the food and the environment. Good place for a brunch with your friends and family. Plenty of parking area.
This place had a great variety of food for different eaters. We had pancakes, gouda grits, crispy chicken tacos, a cinnamon roll, and biscuits and gravy-all fresh. The lattes were really good, and you could tell that the espresso was freshly ground. My only complaint was that we were wedged between a wall and another table with very minimal room to move our chairs; most of us sat at an angle. Otherwise, the service was wonderful and we will be back.
Very good!!! Came here this morning for my birthday breakfast. I saw a server cleaning the high chairs and as a mom of 3. Trust me when I say, many restaurants don’t do that! I’m so glad to know that when I come here my kids are sitting in clean seats. The wait for coffee drinks is kinda long the last few times I’ve been here. Love there giant pancakes, if you have kids, they will love it too!
Best breakfast EVERRRRRRRR. 1000/10 recommend. We sat at the bar and our servers/ baristas were so awesome. The food came out very fast even though they were extremely busy. The coffees are spectacular (chai late/ matcha). I would absolutely go back everyday.
Came for breakfast and sat at at the bar. Amazing service. The girls working the bar were great. Mina, Kammie, Rena, and Alex the best. They were hustling making the best lattes and bloody Mary, and were uobeat and friendly the entire time. Can't say enough good things! Definitely would recommend!
Seven Mile Cafe, My Daughter took me and another friend for are Happy Birthdays. Food was delicious. Coffee was delicious. I asked for Three eggs over easy. Two biscuits with gravy. Loved the atmosphere. Very comfortable. Fantastic service, we ordered are Food was out in less than 10 minutes. Prices were reasonable. They have all kinds of delicious food on their menus. Will definitely be going back soon. Spending time with My Daughter and Are friend for Birthdays. Fellowshipping. Are waiter was a Christian and very polite and gave us plenty of time to order. Very great place to eat. Took a lot of pictures and waiter wished us a Happy Birthday. Great place to go with Your family or friends.
The BEST place for breakfast or really any meal. The mile latte is THE best coffee I have ever had in a long time. The service, by Kandace, was super friendly, polite, funny and quick. 💯 will eat here the next time or really if I am with about 100 miles of the place I'll stop by, totally worth it.
7 Mile Cafe in Fort Worth is a great place for brunch. I highly recommend the Texan Tacos. The environment is really nice and the service is always top notch. Alex at the bar did a phenomenal job with my order and the others that kept coming in too.
7 mile is always my go to for breakfast / brunch. I'm a big fan of their Bloody Marys and their Farm House Biscuit Sandwiches and the Breakfast Tacos. The menu isn't massive, but everything I've ever had here had been great. I've always had quick service, even when busy. Can't recommend this place enough.
Not too shabby. Dropping bucks on lunch isn’t usually my thing, so this is an objective review. If brunch is yo thang, you’re gonna love it. I had a great meal, loved the Gouda grits as every southern-born knows that’s the CORRECT cheese. Bacon was great and drinks/coffee were delicious. Things were maybe a bit sweet for my taste across the board, but I respect them executing exactly what they’re advertising. Enjoy with friends!
From the bar to our table, everything was AMAZING. We had a great group of people that served us in one way or another, and each one was friendly, energetic and efficient. Samantha, Jaiden, Kammie, Reyna, Alexandria and Mina all deserve gold stars!!! Great experience, will be back
This is a wonderful breakfast/brunch spot for North Forth Worth! The food is wonderful, and I've always enjoyed my experiences with the staff. I've never had to wait a long time for the food, either. Also, they have great coffee! No Folgers will be found here. They use Onyx Coffee Roasters (as of 2023, prior they were using Stumptown), which is one of the top coffee roasters in the country. I usually buy beans for Onyx online, but I may start swinging by here to pick up a bag when needed. They only downside is that the food seems to have gotten quite a bit pricier since i started going here a few years ago, but that's not uncommon right now.
If you get a short stack of pancakes, 4 people can eat from it. They. Are. Huge! They're also sweet & fluffy too. The atmosphere was chill, except a frequently screaming toddler. The bar is luscious & luxurious. It's a vibe in itself. My sorority sister got a pineapple mimosa & said it was more then well worth it. The portions are enough for 2 or 3 people to share & the price is comparable. They close at 2:30 pm & YELP! is the best place to get on the waiting list. It's worth every waited moment.. Your tastebuds will thank you.
Alexandria was the absolute sweetest! Made the whole experience just a little more special with her authentic personality and just over all sweetness! Keep being you girlie, I truly adored you! Food was delicious, Gingerbread latte was scrumptious, and the service was amazing and one of a kind!
Husband & I really enjoyed our meals at the Seven Mile Cafe. Our server Drake was very nice and brought out our Latte's and food out very quickly, and everything was exactly what we wanted. The atmosphere of this restaurant is very nice, everyone was friendly & we will definitely be visiting this location again~
This is a nice place to have a breakfast, very well decorated, it make you feel cozy, very clean, the customer service was awesome, we barely wait to be accommodated even it was very busy, food was delicious and I was really surprised that they have lots of vegan option, it was very hard to decide what to choose. I want to congratulate Ernesto for his great service, he is very polite, patient and attentive, we were several ladies on our table and he always have a smile in his face for every request. Thank you Ernesto keep up!!
The portions of food are definitely more than we expected! I ordered putting on the grits and it was loaded with applewood smoked bacon and pork sausage. There are also vegan options. My wife ordered the chicken tortilla soup & hippie salad with peanut sauce combo.
This is our top place to go for breakfast. We’ve had Niza twice now and she’s been amazing both times. She’s also so sweet and impressionable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a nice morning with great vibes.
I can't wait to go back here. I was looking for a different place that offers vegan food. I was wanting biscuits and gravy but didnt want to do all the cooking that day. Found this Cafe on Google Maps. Absolutely loved it!! They offer lots of vegan options and the waitress said they can veganize a lot of the other dishes as well. They even have specific colored plates so you know there's no mix ups! I got the biscuits and eggs with sausage gravy. It was very good! My plate was full. They're had very fair pricing. I absolutely fell in love with this place! The staff were great. I even had a terrific cup of coffee with vegan creamer. I love that I can go with friends who are not vegan and still enjoy a great meal. Lots of selections either way. Give the vegan food a try tho. You'll love it!
The food is delicious. There are so many different options for breakfast and brunch. Lunch options start at 11 am. I have had the Monte Cristo sandwich and it is so good. The trio breakfast tacos are tasty, too! I don't think you can go wrong here.
After 2 visits, it's time to give an honest review. If you are willing to pay a bit more (25 ish per person) you are in for a truly awesome time. Our server this time was Alexandra, and she was great! Bubbly, competent, and expedient, she kept the drinks and conversations flowing. Now for the food, I had the Bacon cheeseburger this time, with the sweet sourdough. My partner had the Vegan Brekkie Burger, whole wheat bun. I inhaled mine like a certain pink hungry orb, and my partner ate as much as he could, those burgers are huge. All in all, a good time for early morning noms.
This place was great! I was there with a group of friends for my 70th Birthday! Started out in the bar while I waited for a table and had the best Irish Coffee!!! Everyone on the back side of the bar was so friendly and happy. And then on to the table had such wonderful service from all! I will definitely be coming back. And I wrote everyone’s name down to remember: Jaiden, Sam, Kami, Reyna, Mina and Alexandria!!! Can’t wait to go again!
We sat at the bar and had a wonderful experience! Alexandra was our server, she was friendly and her customer service was top notch. The rest of the team behind the bar(Mina, Reyna & Kammie) also made sure we were well taken care of through our time. The food and coffee were great, the atmosphere was fun, 10 out of 10 would recommend again.
We came here today to celebrate my sister's 60th birthday and we had Alexandria as our server and let me tell you how fabulous she was. We did not know until the end of her service with us that this was her first large party and that she started serving people yesterday for the first time. She is absolutely a gem and should be celebrated for her fabulous service with us today. The food was very good. Much better than what I've had in the past so happy to see the improvement there.
Took my friend here for her birthday and everything we had was amazing! Our waiter, Ernesto, was incredible! He was prompt, polite, friendly, and literally the best waiter we'd ever had. The food selection is accommodating and large! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to go out for brunch or just have a nice quiet breakfast! They use Onyx coffee and it was delicious! The eggs benedict my friend got was cooked perfectly and I loved my vegan biscuits and gravy! Our mimosas were amazing!
I was concerned about the huge menu, but every item ordered by our party of 8 was amazing!!! The food was generous, serving size, biscuits are huge, fresh squeezed OJ amazing, cinnamon rolls outstanding!!! Bloody Marys superb, great selection of mimosa flavors!! The service was excellent, our waiter was expertly detailed in taking our orders ensuring every order was perfect for each of us!! The atmosphere was fun and relaxed!!
W O W ! The menu is extensive . The food is rich , full of flavor & generous portions are served up here. Very shareable plates . The vegan menu options were so wonderfully overwhelming you must try a few items ! Service was great . I’d highly recommend this breakfast destination to any one . Our lattes were delicious as well.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Seven Mile Cafe is hands down one of the best breakfast spots around! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. Their coffee is top-notch, and the menu has something for everyone, from hearty comfort dishes to lighter, healthy options. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a casual meal or catching up with friends. The staff goes above and beyond with friendly, attentive service, making every visit enjoyable. If you’re looking for a place that consistently delivers great food and great vibes, Seven Mile Cafe is it!
Delicious food and excellent customer service from our waiter. If we were to come back into the Fort Worth area, we would definitely stop by for breakfast again. 💕🌸 Ordered captioal tacos and a caramel cold brew and butter pecan iced latte. Waffles, eggs and bacon and another order of taco with fried chicken.
First time my husband and I have been here and wow! The food was amazing. If you order the potato bowl and if you order that make sure your hungry! It was huge, but luckily you can reheat that if you take it home. I am not a French toast person at all and we decided to try the berry dream and it was cooked to perfection! We will definitely be back!
Me and my family came here while visiting the Fort Worth area and we were not disappointed. We were able to get a seat quickly and the service was very good. Now the food was amazing! The portion size was just huge! The flavors were all good. The restaurant environment was great. The store looked to be very well taken care of, even the bathrooms were incredibly clean. The only thing I was disappointed in was the coffee. It had a different distinct flavor that to me seemed off. Now this is just a personal preference so take it with a grain of salt. That being said we will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.
Very rustic vibe going on and I love it, the food was fantastic very presentable and plated with care. The flavors were as present in the taste as they were visually and that's a big deal for me, because you eat with your eyes first. The seven mile latte was absolutely delicious, not as visually pleasant as I'd seen in other review photos but still delicious. Our service wasn't the best I've had but by no means was it bad just would like the server to have been present more for refills on our drinks. But all in all great place to enjoy some good country style breakfast that's been elevated.

Went for lunch on a weekday, got seated pretty fast and good came v quick. I have tried to go for brunch on weekends where the real deal is about wait times. We had a wait time of 2 hrs so we didn’t stay. Use Yelp, join waitlist feature for this. Food was nice and warm, fresh juice was great. We enjoyed our lunch here.
Great tasting food. My daughter had pancakes, apple bacon and hashbrowns. I had the bacon, eggs and toast. A longer than usual wait to get our food but it was worth it. I recommend you get there before 9:00 to avoid the crowd and not have to wait to be seated. The variety of coffee drinks is a bonus!
Food was good and that is pretty much it. I got the salad and received a generous portion. My fiancé got the French toast with strawberries and blueberries and it was delicious! We had a very nice gentleman that helped us, Chase, which I believe he’s the manager, but not sure. He was definitely helping out all of the servers and their customers. The drinks were ok. 9 bucks for a mimosa is a little much considering there are other places that offer mimosas for less, or at least bigger glasses. My Bloody Mary was 11 bucks, and again, it was a bit overpriced, in my opinion. There weren’t any olives, but it did come with a celery stalk, a slice of lemon and a piece of bacon. The drink was warm, and tasted mostly of Bloody Mary mix. I had to add extra salt, pepper and hot sauce to make the drink edible. I also asked for extra ice due to it being so warm. Overall, I don’t believe we will be back. There was not a wow factor here. The total was over 50 bucks for everything, which I believe is a little excessive for what we ordered. I will gladly pay this amount for quality food and drinks, but unfortunately I cannot justify the high prices for the food that we received.
Where do I start… we went for brunch and it was an overall solid experience. Service was kinda slow even though I understand they were busy. My only gripe was it took about 15 minutes before we even got talked to/given our water. Other than that this place would get a 5*. The portion for the food were huge! The coffee was delicious! The food was pretty darn good too. We had the rancheros, farmhouse biscuit sandwich, and eggs benedict. All of it looked and tasted amazing. The avocado, which is a big plus, was actually perfect and you were given a good amount. The price point is good too. Would definitely recommend for anyone around the area. We plan on going back and who knows… might get a 5* next time.
Stopped by for a quick bit of lunch before some shopping and was pleased with the experience! The place is has a lot of room and a neat little outdoor area for dogs, although we were eating inside. The food was great and the service was phenomenal! They were very attentive to our needs and everything same out very quick. The biscuits were great! 👌
I got the banana pancakes stack with the Nutella. It was really good. Next time I would not add the Nutella. My friend had the farmer's biscuit breakfast meal. He thought it was alittle dry even after adding gravy. The atmosphere was great and the staff was very nice.
Not a bad choice for a brunch spot. Food was decent, however, it would've been nice if the cheese had been melted on my breakfast taco. Vegan French toast was great. For 3 items it came out to $42, which is a little pricey in my opinion. Be prepared to drop some $$$, all menu items are on the higher end. Also, it gets pretty packed, so come early if you have a large party. The estimated wait time for our party of 2 was 45 minutes.
It's been awhile since I've been a patron of this place. Probably gonna be my last. The ambiance is a little dark for breakfast. I was advised they changed their coffee which was very bitter.

This meal for two was $50 which in my opinion was definitely over priced. The best part was the crunchy home fries and I am normally not a potato person. The scramble was really not flavorful. The coffee and orange juice was great. I would want to try the French toast and pancakes one day but I wouldn’t order this again.
Good spot for good breakfast grubs. My only gripe is they have no staple meat entrees like ham and eggs, steak and eggs, or pork chops and eggs. 3 of my go-to breakfast picks. Beyond that, all good. Used the waitlist function in Yelp and was able to arrive and walk in, check-in and get seated in 5 minutes. Service was fast and kind. I got the garden omelet no cheese with sourdough toast and some tasty crispy hashbrowns not drenched in oil or butter as many places always do. Portions are decent but could be better for the prices. Wife got the Denver scramble and said it was OK. Son ate all his kids plate of a biscuit, sausage and eggs with bacon. Wife said coffee was very bitter. Cant say myself as I did not have any. Place sure gets busy by 10am on weekend I can tell you that.
Although I'm not vegan, I love the fact that they have lots of vegan options. There was a long wait, but it wasn't the end of the world. I honestly didn't care for the menu options or prices, but I'm glad I gave it a try. The biscuits were a little dry, and I expected meat to be in my gravy (based off of the description), but the harsh brown was good and had a hint of garlic. I was disappointed in the fact that the break tacos did not include meat. They are $5.50 each without meat and an additional $2 to add meat... beyond ridiculous!!!!
My friend had a scrambled plate and I had the eggs and hash browns with bacon and sausage…and we both agreed the food wasn’t very good. There is NO seasoning whatsoever. And the hash browns seemed like they needed to be cooked just a little longer. Also the food was almost cold when we got it (and it wasn’t busy there). The French mimosa tastes like cough syrup. The strawberry mimosa was pretty good. And my friend said his Irish coffee was good. Overall I can’t say we will be returning. We paid about $100 and only enjoyed 1 of our drinks.
The food isn't the best but the people there are amazing they really set the bar high for customer service
We have gone to seven Mole cafe on the North Freeway FTW every so often since it opened. The past few visits the food has been meh. Not warm, over cooked, bland. The staff seem more inclined to foo…
Food was mediocre and cold. Do NOT ask for cheese on your hashbrowns or eggs because they will put an entire bag and ruin your food. It came out cold not even melted on our food. It was pricy but the portions are big.
We have come here 4 times for Sunday brunch and sat at the bar. The service is slow, and they do not accommodate anything out of the ordinary. I tried to order a BLT at 9:45 but they wouldn’t let me because it’s a lunch item. Isn’t it just toast with Bacon and veggies? Then I tried to order a sausage egg and cheese biscuit and he told me they don’t have that and every item would be al la cart. We ordered to go food for the kids and it took 45 mins. There is always a long wait so we sit at the bar for quick service and it is always so slow. The staff is not attentive or helpful. We won’t be coming back, although we do love the food. Pappas Rancheros and Biscuits & Gravy were soooo good!
The setting was lovely but the food was lacking. None of us enjoyed the hash browns, the coffee was spilt all in the saucer and less than hot, and the syrup came out cold when it finally did arrive. For a $50 meal, we expected more.
I’ve been to the seven mile cafe before but I have to say. After this experience I don’t know if I’ll be back. The price of the kids meal is crazy. 11.00 for a flavors pancake. Just the pancake. No side or drinks included. It’s much more cost efficient to just order an adult meal to split if you have multiple kids. $4.00 for a kids chocolate milk is ridiculous. Now I know the price of the food isn’t in control of the staff serving it but for what you pay for I would hope I would get substantial service. Let me give some advice, as someone who’s worked as a server and bartender for 7 years. 1) when a host is going to seat the table, walk at the pace of the customer. Don’t power walk ahead while the customer is trying the best to keep up. My mother had recent hip surgery and we were walking slow because of that but we damn near lost the host around the corner because she was walking so fast. 2) it’s a good habit to pick up dirty plates as the customers finish them. I had to ask my server multiple times to pick up our empty plates to make some room 3) if your bringing boxes (in our case 3) it’s a good idea to also bring a bag. When our server brought us the bag she just handed us a closed paper bag. I know this isn’t a 5 star restaurant but putting our boxes in the bag or even just opening the bag would have been nice. There were so many little things but those little things add up. And to add insult to the already battered and bruises injury, our lattes were cold.
My wife and I recently visited 7 Mile Café. Aesthetically, the restaurant is beautiful, clean, and well designed. Unfortunately, the experience fell apart due to the staff and service. I ordered a pineapple mimosa. On the menu, the only pineapple option listed was a twelve dollar craft mimosa. All I wanted was a simple glass of champagne with a splash of pineapple juice, so I asked our server if that was possible. She said yes. What I was brought was champagne with a very thick pineapple purée or syrup. I asked if they had pineapple juice instead and was told no, this was what they use. I tried it and did not like it. After that, our server became completely unavailable. The bar was only about six feet away, so I politely asked the bartender about the juice. She responded with a negative attitude and told me to take the glass of champagne and syrup back to my table and give it to our server instead of addressing the issue herself. After returning to our table, my wife overheard staff making fun of our table, saying we were rude. At no point were we rude. We were simply asking basic questions about a drink. Between the unfriendly attitude, lack of professionalism, and staff openly mocking customers, the experience was disappointing. The space may look nice, but service matters. We will not be back, and it is not worth the time or money.
This was our fourth or so time visiting. It had been a while so we decided to meet up here for a late breakfast. The service was pretty slow. It took 15 and 20 minutes for drink orders to be delivered. Just coffee and orange juice. My husband enjoyed his breakfast and my SIL enjoyed her smoothie but it took a really long time for it to come out. The chicken and waffles I'd ordered were god awful. There was very little seasoning and the batter was so dry and flat. The chicken was dry. I initially wanted the southwest burrito but with no pork but was told they can't substitute meat, they can only take it out but there wouldn't be a price difference. So I'm getting less but paying the same price. OK. I asked for grits with my chicken and waffles but they don't have REGULAR grits. Like, not having regular grits in Texas should be a crime. They only have smoked gouda grits. Like, can you just not put the cheese in the dog on grits? Anyway, I was disappointed to say the least. The server was nice but if I were her I would have at least sent management to the table. I feel like if you have a PAYING customer but can't do simple food requests and the food also is inedible then there should be at least an attempt to show that you care and still want their business. Even if you can't accommodate you can at least show your face. I waited tables for many different restaurants and this was always the policy. But I digress.
Got the chicken and waffles and Southwest breakfast burrito. Both were not good. The burrito had no flavor and needed salt. Beans also had no flavor and were dry. The chicken on the waffles was hard to eat and the waffle was not crispy it was kinda soggy. Prob wouldn’t come back or recommend to anyone. Server was nice but that’s about it.
My family and I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant today. We waited 30 minutes to get seated, which was acceptable. However, our food arrived an hour later, and it was dry and not what I had expected after waiting that long. The bill was $115, and the waiter seemed unable to offer any compensation. I strongly believe that my children’s meals should have been discounted.
Our first time here expectations were high given the reviews. Ordered the chicken and waffles when it arrived the fish looked really bad. I asked her if it was frozen she said yes they make it fresh and then freeze it! I’m like why? It was awful. My husband got the tacos with corn tortillas. The corn tortillas were not even browned or anything but the inside was really good. The waffle was good. It was a very expensive breakfast and I didn’t even eat the chicken!
This establishment was recommended to me by a good friend that talks very highly about this establishment. Unfortunately the experience I had here was a par anything I would expect. It's okay to ID someone for alcohol but it's not okay to make a policies that don't exist only to fall back on TBA regulations.
This will be my last visit here. When the place first opened, I brought my family so many times, but I won’t be coming back and I’ll be sharing with my family and friends that this isn’t the breakfast spot to visit if you’re looking for a good meal. The food didn’t taste fresh it seemed like it was just warmed up in the microwave. The alcoholic drinks were okay, maybe a 6 out of 10. As for the service, it was pretty disappointing probably a 2 out of 10. It took forever for the server to bring us things like syrup, refills, straws, or napkins maybe more than 10 minutes. Yeah it was busy, but I believe they should have enough staff to keep the service smooth by now. This isn’t a new place anymore, after all. There’s a saying: “Satisfied customers tell a few people, but dissatisfied customers tell the world.” A that’s what I’ll be doing from now on.
