It was our 1st time coming to this restaurant and my gf and I went to celebrate our 3 year anniversary. Let me tell you that all the staff did an amazing job to make us feel special and welcomed! Especially Richard!! Shout out to Richard because he went above and beyond to provide us with amazing service. From the beginning to the end he was attentive to make sure everything was good from the food to our beverages. A manager helped my gf out to find the perfect wine for the occasion and a hostess even put rose petals out for us. We got ravioli and the stuffed mushrooms for appetizers and they were great. The bread and butter was delicious and they kept them coming! We got the 26oz cowboy ribeye for our entree and they came out perfect, we got them medium and we got what we asked for. For the sides, we got the asparagus, garlic mashed and lobster mac and cheese and everything was delicious! At the end Richard came out to serve us complimentary dessert for the special occasion which was the cherry on top to a great evening! Thank you Richard and the rest of the staff for everything and for making it a memorable anniversary dinner!

Just moved to Fresno recently, and happened to celebrate my birthday here. Everyone at Ruth’s Chris were super hospitable and friendly. We arrived with decorations on our table and a menu with a birthday message on top. They even took a photo for us and gave it to us as a gift. On top of all the service, their onion soup is one of the best I’ve tried thus far, and their steaks were on point too! Super juice and flavorful!!! Thank you to Ruth’s Chris Steak house for an amazing night :) I will definitely visit again!

I've dined here multiple times, and the initial experiences were impressive. The tomahawk steak was cooked to perfection, and the kitchen consistently accommodated my requests for doneness. The mashed potatoes were exceptional, possibly the best I've encountered at a steakhouse. The calamari was also delicious, with a well-judged seasoning. Unfortunately, a recent dinner date yielded a steak that didn't meet the high standards set by my previous visits, although the service remained top-notch and speedy. Considering the bustling atmosphere, I didn't anticipate an outstanding experience.

This place is absolutely fantastic. I have never had one bad experience and the food is always top-notch. Do not expect anything cheap unless you come during happy hour. But even then the food is absolutely delicious. Take my advice, go during happy hour, sit in The Bar area and order the "prime burger". You will not regret it.

Food was amazing, t bone was cooked really good. The tomahawk was so juicy in the middle. The server was really nice and she did her best with all her tables. I think they might have been short staffed, it felt long. But that’s understandable. The experience is like you’ll expect from a fine dining, but without dress code policy. Don’t skip on the crab cake, it’s actually pretty good for a non seafood place

Went in late for drinks. Drinks were good as well as service. Only complaint was the row of dirty drinking and wine glasses which were sitting in front of us. Not a great upscale view. I asked the bartender about them being dirty and his response was, yes they are. Ok then.

It was extremely busy today at the restaurant, as we waited around an hour and a half for our food. However our server CJ did an amazing job at reassuring us and consistently asking if we needed anything. He was kind and helpful. We had to leave early from our dinner, we didn’t get to properly say thanks. Shout out CJ

Ruth's Chris in Fresno provided a truly enjoyable setting for a recent birthday celebration. The atmosphere was upscale and fun, making the special occasion feel properly celebrated. The drinks and food were fantastic. The quality of the steaks and other dishes lived up to the Ruth's Chris reputation, and we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. However, the service had a few minor, yet noticeable, stumbles. Our server misheard a couple of our drink and food orders, which required correction. Additionally, the dishes for our party didn't arrive at the table all at the same time, leading to a slight feeling of being uncoordinated. The server also went through every section of the menu in detail. While I appreciated the thoroughness and knowledge, this extensive presentation felt like it took a bit too long before we were able to look over the menu ourselves and finalize our decisions. These small service hiccups, while present, did not ruin our experience. It was also Freezing in the dining room. Bring a shawl or cardigan. The delicious food, great drinks, and celebratory atmosphere ensured we had a wonderful time. Despite the minor issues with timing and order-taking, the overall quality of the dining experience was high, and I would absolutely love to come back for another visit. It's a great spot for a special occasion.

First time in this location. The food was great, as always and as expected. The onion soup was to die for. I had a 16 oz Ribeye, which was cooked a perfectly rare. This is not easy to do, when still making the outside crusty and the inside not stone cold, well done. Equally good job on the 6 oz fillet and lobster for my spouse. The rare filet was a masterpiece, and the lobster soft as butter. All the sides were great too: 'au gratin' potatoes, creamy spinach and mushrooms. It was very quiet, just 5 tables served, and the atmosphere was a bit eery because of the big room. What was disappointing was the service. The server was clearly not aware of the wine menu, and had to go ask if they had Rose. I would have let that go, but he checked in too many times with always the same "can I grab you anything else", even after first asking "are you doing ok". A few of those are great, but 20 times starts to be annoying.

For our anniversary dinner, we decided to treat ourselves to Ruth Chris steakhouse, we hadn't been here in many years, but we remembered their food to be extraordinary. We were seated promptly, and our server was very attentive. The only feedback that I would give about the restaurant is that it is so dimly lit inside that it is difficult to see the menu. Other than that, drinks, food, and service were exceptional. I would highly recommend it, but you may need to use your phone flashlight to see the menu, as we observed others having the same issue. LOL

Very $$$$ for each entree and dishes. The steak was seasoned on point, but the quality was mediocre. Side dishes were very milky and cheesy, spinach artichoke, and potatoes with cheese (forgot the name of the side). We waited at least 20-30 mins for our entrees and 30 mins for a cold dessert. Spent over 2 hours in the restaurant and still not satisfied. I went home and still able to eat home cook meal. I would recommend to come try out the place when they have a special or during happy hours, I would not recommend paying full price for the menu. Services were amazing and on point, only if we didn't have to wait for so long to get our dessert order

I had to put 2 stars because I couldn’t write with 1 star or less. The service outside of the bar is not worth your money, save your money and go somewhere else. Hannah, at the bar, made great drinks and was wonderful. We were sat for our reservation and we were left completely unapproached for 20 minutes. The manager offered us a better table as compensation for the horrible service. This raised the question as to why we weren’t sat at that table to start with. It’s just not worth your money!

We were greeted by the hostess, Melody. We arrived a little before 6:45pm without a reservation because OpenTable showed all available times (aka it is not busy). We told her we wanted dine in. She said we’d have to make a reservation for 7:15 because she had 9 parties reserved for 7:00, and they only had 2 servers. Or that we could go eat at the bar. I went on OpenTable and reserved for 7:00 in front of her because all times were still open… and all of a sudden she said she could seat us right away after confirming the reservation which was 20 minutes before our reservation time. She originally told us she was not able to seat us at 6:45 because they were booked, yet as soon as I put my name down, she sat us. During our time there, they sat 2 tables and the restaurant was even more empty when we left. Melody judged us from the moment she saw us and did not show us hospitality. It felt like because we were dressed more casual and my husband was in a hat, she was trying to deter us from dining in and wanting us to go to the bar. She asked my husband to remove his hat for the dining area, which was fine; however the man sat at the table behind us was wearing a hat the entire time. We saw her talking badly about us to other staff as we were walking toward our table. We almost left because she made us so uncomfortable and unwelcome, but we usually love Ruth’s Chris Steak House, so we gave them a chance. Unfortunately, our service and some of the food were just mediocre. We waited at our table with our dirty plates in-between courses. We had to send the creamed spinach back for tasting rotten and water back for black bug floating. We had to ask for new silverware with our entrees. Manager never came over to touch base with us, so I am writing a review for management to hopefully see and make adjustments for other customers. We will not be returning to this location.

This was a terrible experience from start to finish. Literally did not even feel like we were in a Ruth’s Chris. We called at 8:15 to see if they could squeeze us in because it was a Saturday night and everything else in the area was full. The gentleman who answered the phone said no problem. When can you get here and we told him we are walking in the door in five minutes. When we walked through the door to young ladies greeted us and told us there was no room available. We explained that we had just hung up the phone and someone secured a table. We showed them the conversation on my daughter‘s phone to ensure we called the right number. No big deal we ended up sitting in the lounge. That’s fine, same menu. The three of us sat ourselves at a table. No one brought our menus. There were only two other tables that were occupied in the bar, and the bar was completely empty. After five minutes, my husband got up and went to the bar and retrieve the menus for us. The waitress finally came over and was pleasant and took our order for drinks and appetizer. Here’s where it all go south. The calamari came out, drenched, literally soaked so much in the chili sauce that the breading was falling off. They were kind enough to split the chopped salad that my husband and I ordered, but it was completely soggy like it was made and chopped in the back hours earlier and sat in the vinaigrette. The biggest joke of all was the $15 baked potato. I’ve attached a photo for your viewing pleasure. This was definitely cooked in the morning and left to dry out all day until it became a shriveled unrecognizable spud. The steak as always was an amazing cut of meat. Unfortunately, it was already cooked too well done (we ordered medium plus - there was zero pink) when they brought it out the sizzling hot plate and immediately became overdone within minutes. Completely too tough to eat. My daughter enjoyed the salmon, but we all agreed it was a little too fishy. I know that sounds funny because it is fish, but fresh fish should never have a fishy smell to it that you can smell from across the table. Not salmon. Overall, the service was fine. It was not over the top, but everyone that served us was pleasant and efficient. When they did forget things, they were quick to correct them. But, I have to say, The food was just not even close to anything that is your typical Ruth’s Chris amazingness. Could’ve been an off night, but for a Saturday night you would think everything would be on.

We came here for Valentine’s Day and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. Our food took a very long time to come out, which we tried to be understanding about since it was a busy evening. However, once our food finally arrived, we were immediately given to-go boxes, which made us feel rushed and unwelcome — especially since other tables around us were not treated the same way. To make matters worse, my boyfriend ordered a beer and it was taken away when it was still about halfway full, again making it feel like we were being pushed out. For an expensive Valentine’s Day meal, we expected to feel relaxed and appreciated, not hurried out the door. We understand restaurants can get busy, but customer service and how guests are made to feel matter just as much as the food. This experience left us disappointed on what was supposed to be a special night.
